WHAM!
The crowd roared as Mr. Invincible slammed his fiery fist into Dr. Mandible, the insectoid abomination having no defense against the mighty blow. The Mantis/Ant Chimera flew into a nearby building, a green liquid spewing from his mandibles, dribbling down his thorax. The hybrid twitched, his naked green exoskeleton bleeding an odd mixture of yellow and green much to the crowd’s amusement.
“When will he ever learn?” Mr. Invincible exclaimed, his aqua blue cape flowing freely in the wind as he flew to the shaking insects side, peeling him off the stone wall leaving his imprint in the gray stone. Dr. Mandible hissed, a sound one wouldn’t expect from a creature of his appearance. The camera panned in on the two together, Mr. Invincible holding the other by his claws. He whispered something to the half beatened man, the camera unable to capture what was spoken. His eyes widened a shock expression coming over his face, and soon a blood-curdling cry as he fell on the pavement, his frontal pair of arms no longer attached to his body. Blood dripped from his open wounds painting the sidewalk green with his disgusting fluids. Loud “ewws” erupted from the crowd, men and women holding their nose to a stench that didn’t exist.
The cameraman gasped at the sight, turning away from the horrid scene once, but returning only a minute later. He focused on the dying man, the crowd clapping at his demise. She clicked her tongue at the audience who booed and celebrated at his last moment. Staring deeply into the television screen, she scowled. ”Idiots.”
“The day is saved thanks to Mr. … Click.” With a press of a button, the television transformed into black, the girl mumbling words of hate.
“Urk.” She growled, her mind dissecting the events she had just laid witness too. Darting out of her room with her school bag in tow, an image of Mr. Invincible popped up just before he released Dr. Mandible. She wasn’t sure, but she could've sworn she saw Mr. Invincible and he was ... smiling?
