[1] Killing a Tongue
Come to me little boy
Let me trade your tongue for the one of a foreign country
I’ll make you speak powerfully
Yet be steady
Otherwise you will rumble the temple of your own community
Otherwise you will rattle the foundation of your own pedigree
Come to me sweet girly
Let me trade your tongue for the one of a foreign country
I’ll make you speak eloquently
Yet be ready
Most likely you will lose the values of your own society
Most likely your heart will be haughty and your mind be empty
[2] Sweet Pickle Death
Be my chef
be my angle of death
bring me sweet pickle
and take me to the airport
I want to catch the first flight.
Lay me down on your kitchen table
Insert
the cooking knife in between my 7th and 8th ribs
undo
my heart beats
let your olive oil hair
be my last screen saver before it goes totally dark.
[3] Bubblegum
“Why do adults like bubblegum?” asked the little girl.
“Life is often like bubblegum
chew it
taste it
spit it out
don’t swallow it
your tummy can’t take it.” Said the little boy.
[4] A bar of chocolate
The bar of chocolate you ate last night
Got into my blood
My love for you is getting thicker
[5] Strawberry Hearted
My heart is just a piece of strawberry
It’s so soft and juicy
You don’t have to squeeze it to make me cry
Don’t shout at me cause you’ll begin to melt my strawberry
You squash my poetry.
[6] Deep Slumber
Never my sleep is a deep slumber
My clouded mind is tangled wire
The wild sparks are like dog’s barks
take me into your sleep
take me into your deep.
[7] Poca in Easter’s Rain at St. Peter Madison
Her long dark hair is braided
Blue corn moon tunic with grey wolf long dress she wears
Her weary eyes shed tears of Lent, repent, and glory
Pray for the rain to wash the centuries of pains
“Let Him reign.
Let it rain.
Let Him wash the centuries of pains.”
[8] The Dark Moon
If you look up at the hazy night sky
You will see nothing but my beauty.
But if you visit me during my dreamy shallow slumber
In the bluish deep sea early morning sky
You will see the dark side of me.
I can’t promise you a sweat creamy story.
I can only sing you a lullaby.
It has been for centuries
The wolf cries
When I light the dim sky.
[9] A Can of Love
I send you my wings of love
in a can of coke
to warmly hug your heart.
I’ve been drinking too much soda
and now my heart is aching.
I’m burping the bitter poison of loneliness.
[10] Killing the Beast
I want to be honest
Therefore, I should be brainless
I want to be ingenuous
Therefore, I should be heartless
I want to be virtuous
Therefore, I should be sexless.
I want to kill the beast.
