Prologue

The night was dark. The moon was hidden by layers of clouds. There was a small family consisting of one small child, a mother, an unborn child, and father. The small child had pure white hair and bright blue eyes.” Mommy, there is someone at the door.” The mother looked at the doors. ”There, there, kaysa. It’s gonna be all right.” kaysa looked at her mother with uncertainty. “Is daddy okay?” She looked as the door cracked and fell to the floor. “There you are. Where’s my payment? You still owe me money. Do I have to do everything on my own?”She hid kaysa and protected her with everything she had. The night was brutal. The mother was killed by the father. It made sense. The father was always mad with kaysa’s mother because he had so many debts that he couldn’t get out of. Kaysa had started to run for her life. Away from the bloody shack that she called her home. Away from her scary father and from her past. She was sad and alone. She fell asleep Watching the stars wondering if her mom was watching her from were ever she was. She hoped that her dad would never find her."Mommy" She woke up the next morning to dark clouds that blotted out the sun.it started to rain heavly. Kaysa ran for shelter as fast as she could. She stumbled as far as she could until she sumblded upon a abandened house. She walked in and was graetful to find food and beds as if the people that was liveing there left in a hurry. She walked to a cabnet and grabbed a small bag of chips and ate hungerly. she stoped as she heared a clatter. She sighed in realef as she saw it was only a cat. She smiled and recited a poem her mom told her. "The wind sighs in the dark as the moon hides behide the protecting clouds. The cat purrs and the dog howles for the moon to come back. The stars look down on the people of the world and shine bright with joy and happyness. The rose bloomes as the rain falls. Know that no matter what you wont be alone. Like the rose has the rain, you have me." she continued to eat but not as despritly as before. She Thought about what her mother would think. She had gone and laid down to sleep. She woke up to the bright light of the morning and the cat from last night laying next to her. She sat up and rubbed her eyes. the cat moved and laid on her lap. It sat there cleaning it's self. "Hi preety kitty." kaysa stroked the cat and it purred loudly. she giggled. "Your a funny kitty. There, there, you'll be okay. I'll protect you." The cat looked at kaysa with green eyes. It laid it's head down and purred softly. Kaysa picked it up and walked down stairs to get food for them to eat. Kaysa laid food down for it. " You need a name. caylen, hows that sound to you?" "meow." She laughed. "I take that as a yes.Hehe. Your my new freind, ok?" Caylen purred happly and rubbed on kaysa. "We have to leave soon. I'm sorry Caylen." Caylen looked at kaysa with deep sadnees. "I know you don't want to leave, but if we stay in one place for to long my daddy will find us." Kaysa wanted to cry for her new freind. She stroked caylen softly and tears streaked her cheecks and her sobes sounded throught out the empty house. Caylen rubbed against kaysa tring to cheer her up. Caylen walked to the door and meowed for kaysa to follow. Kaysa looked and wiped her tears and followed Caylen. They walked out of the city twardes the forest. Caylen would purr loudly and kaysa would laugh loudly. People would stare at them as they passed. They where too caught up in their own world. They got to another house as night fell. " lets stay here for the night, okay, caylen?" "Mrowww." Caylen walked in the house.Kaysa had no clue why caylen wanted to show her this house. Caylen continued down the hall and into the living room.caylen jumped onto a old, dusty couch and purred. "This was your home?" Caylen purred louder than ever. Caylen jumped down and moved to a room. it looked like a bedroom because there was a small bed and what like like a cat's bed.

chapter 2

kaysa looked as caylen went and layed in the small, dusty cat bed. "This was your home, but why did you leave?" Caylen looked at her and pointed at the small bed next to her with her tail. Caylen stood on her hind legs and tumbeled back down like she was playing dead. "They died in this vary house. Is that why you left?" She looked and nodded her head as if kaysa got it right. she jumped on the bed. meowed as if to tell her to sleep. she went and layed on the bed and sleept. kaysa got up and caylen was missing."Caylen, where are you?" " My name isn't caylen, it's sareeva." kaysa jumped back at the sound of the voice. "Who's there?" A girl with blood red hair walked past the door. kaysa was scared of this red haired girl. she closed my eyes hoping it was just a halusination. she finaly opened her eyes and she was gone and caylen was sitting there in the door way like nothing happened.she tilted her head at me."Meow?" kaysa must have looked vary upset. she smiled happly. "I'll be okay!"
