Chapter 1
Jocelyn's POV
I glanced up as Luke snuck into my room at the institute as he had been for a couple of months now he went to say hello but I cut him off by getting up and going over to kiss him deeply "hey" he said breathless when I pulled away "hi" I replied quietly "what's wrong" he asked "three things" I answered slowly not wanting to face any of the truths "want to talk about it" he asked I shook my head "I just want a distraction tonight" I said he nodded and led me over to my bed.
Clary's POV
"Clary help me train for a bit" I heard Jace ask me I was about to say sure when Alec came over "actually I was hoping you could help me with the fearless rune I can't seem to get it right" he asked I was going to say once i'd finished helping Jace but Max decided right then to race over and command my attention next thing I knew someone had grabbed my hand and we were running through the halls they shoved a door open and pulled me in closing the door behind us I glanced at me savior and seen Izzy panting at the door "thanks" I said blushing and looking down "you looked like you were suffocating" she said before going over to the bed in the middle of the room I looked around "why are we in your room" I asked "I didn't know where else to take you they know they can't come in my room without permission from me" she said shuffling over and patting the bed next to her I laid down on my side facing her as we fell asleep.
Jocelyn's POV
I woke up feeling warmer than normal when I turned my head I seen Luke laying next to me still asleep I took the chance to get dressed scrawling a quick note saying i'd see him later I went out of my room seeing Clary and Isabelle come out of a room together that I recognized as Isabelle's room they both seemed to be laughing about something my stomach clenched at the thought of telling Clary one of the things i'd been thinking about last night I shook my head to clear the thoughts instead thinking about breakfast as the smell of bacon came through the air Clary looked over and spotted me just as I began to get nauseous Alec came out of a bathroom next to me and I ducked in closing the door and kneeling down in front of the toilet just as I threw up I could hear Clary asking if I was okay outside the door the door opened a little and Luke slipped in I assumed Clary had let him past, I didn't have much time to worry about it though because I had to lean over to throw up again "what happened Jocelyn" he asked I shook my head and shrugged a bit telling him I didn't know I tried thinking of everything it could be when I realized that I was late "oh god i'm late" I said getting up quickly and going back to my room by the time Luke and Clary caught up I was already searching my drawers for one in particular when I found it I paused counting the objects in there once I was done I closed the draw and sank to my knees silently crying "mom what happened" Clary asked coming over to me "no, no I can't be I can't go through this again" I sobbed roughly wiping my tears "can't go through what again" she asked confused I glanced up at Luke silently begging him to understand he seemed confused for a minute before it dawned on him understanding flooded his features "you can't put this on the same level Jocelyn" he said crouching down to me "yes I can Luke it is exactly like that the only thing that's different is the other party" I said through small gasps for air he sat down and pulled me into his arms softly soothing me until I stopped crying "that's what makes this one different" he whispered "how is this one any different none were planned and so far all have been strong in one way or another" I said pulling away slightly but keeping a clutch on his arm as if that could keep me from crying again "what do you mean all Jocelyn" he asked warily "it means what it sounds like Luke" I snapped before sighing "do you have any idea how dangerous it is for her if her brother or father found her" he asked standing "of course I know that but not even I know where she is which breaks my heart every single day" I yelled he grabbed his jacket "come find me when you're ready to be more reasonable about this" he said leaving the room "Luke wait, damn it" I groaned going after him when I got down to where he was I seen almost everyone watching him but he just kept walking "Luke wait please just let me explain" I said reaching for him he pulled out of my reach and turned to face me he arms folded across his chest "explain what how even though she could get killed you still wouldn't stop seeing her" he snapped I winced "no, that's not- she's a shadowhunter you know that she can defend herself she knows the different runes" I argued "look what happened to her sister nothing could be done by her when he came after her" he said "leave Clary out of this Luke" I warned "fine what about her brother how can you explain that one away" he said "you know what forget it I don't want to fight with you over this she is my daughter and i'm not going to shut her out of my life just because you refused to help me protect her" I snapped "don't Jocelyn I didn't refuse my choice was protect her and lose the woman I love or fight for you and leave her so i'm sorry for being selfish for once in my entire life" he growled I felt the burn of tears in my eyes so I bolted back to my room slamming the door shut and collapsing on my bed in tears.
Mystery Girl's POV
"Shut up Jake you can't tell me what to do" I said laughing shoving the boy next to me he stopped teasing me and stared straight ahead I followed his gaze and seen a guy my mom had shown me in some pictures "you need to come with me she needs you now more than ever" he called out to me his voice sounding cold "do you hate me or something" I called back he shook his head we got up closer to him "so why are you so cold" I asked "please come with me I can't stand seeing her the way she is at the moment" he pleaded his voice growing soft "Jake go tell Jane i'll be home as soon as I can" I said to the boy he nodded and ran off "lead the way Luke" I said he led me to a portal the took us to New York out side an old church I activated the right rune sighing as the institute came into view he led me inside where a girl who look really exactly like me stopped him "I don't know if you two should see each other at the moment" she said "Clary please just tell her that's she's here" he begged 'Clary' she nodded and walked off coming back a few minutes later "fine go ahead take her with you it's freaky how much we look alike" she said it suddenly clicked who she was "oh my god" I whispered laughing softly "it's true she told me it was uncanny" I said as Luke led me away again going up some steps down some halls finally stopping a door that was well worn or like someone had been pushed against it a few times to many I could guess who the pair was that had done it the door opened to reveal my mother standing there glaring at Luke "lovers quarrel" I joked both heads turned to me while Luke raised an eyebrow Jocelyn stepped forward hugged me "I missed you too" I said quietly as I returned the hug gently "Elise please tell you're really here" she asked "uh of course I am mom" I said pulling away "who are you" I heard someone new ask I turned to face the brunette behind me I glanced at my mother she nodded her consent so I turned back to the other girl "hey i'm Elise" I said quietly "Elise who" Clary asked coming out of the girl's room "you wouldn't believe me" I said more people came to see what was going on "try me" she challenged I was going to answer when I got distracted by Clary "El" my mom said quietly "huh what" I said looking back at her she smiled and nodded to my sister "oh um Fray Elise Fray" I said going back to watching just watching Clary silently "mom what's going on" Clary asked "you never told her anything about me" I asked "no but it was to keep you safe" our mom stated "fine i'll tell her now then" I said she nodded as Clary came closer "mom never told you but when you were born she had twins Valentine only knew about Sebastian so when we were born she hid us but two very strong Shadowhunters such as ourselves she couldn't keep us together so I was sent somewhere else away from you and she comes to see me at least once a week where you can remember old runes I can create new ones as you can guess it wouldn't be wise for either father nor brother to get their hands on us so she kept us as far away from each other as she could" I explained "she can't just have a normal child for once" Clary said laughing I joined in pretty quickly both of us calming looking at our mother then losing it again. She huffed and went back into her room I watched as Luke went to leave "uh no get in there and sort it out" I said stepping in his way "no how many years has she been coming to see you" he asked "my whole life she's my mother Luke it's expected you were selfish once everyone knows but don't expect her to do the same she can't give one of us up face it or leave her the hell alone" I snapped well aware of the crowd building up "who are you and how did you get in here" I heard someone ask me "Elise Fray nice to meet you" I said flashing my wrist in the direction of her voice knowing she would see the rune of Shadowhunters etched into my wrist with my stele when I was 12 but never taking my glare from Luke "fine yes she's your mother but Jocelyn could get either of you girls or herself injured or killed so forgive me for caring about you" he replied "no I won't because she is old enough to make her own choices you can't keep telling her what she can and can't do Luke you're her boyfriend not her father" I said folding my arms "you two look exactly like her when you do that" he said I glanced to the side and seen Clary with the same posture as me "talk to her she may want to see us at the moment but she needs you during the pregnancy" Clary said quietly "wait she's pregnant again" I muttered she nodded "no wonder she seemed so moody last week" I said we each grabbed one of Luke arms and pulled him to our mother's room closing the door behind them so it forced them to talk it out "well I never imagined doing that to her when I first met her" I said laughing.
Jocelyn's POV
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have yelled at you" I said "it's fine i'm used to being yelled at by you by now" he said chuckling before returning to seriousness "can you really handle both of them with everything that's going on with Sebastian and Valentine" he asked "yes I can I promise i'm stronger than you give me credit for Luke also the prenancy, I lost the baby" I answered softly walking closer to him "I love you so much" he said I leaned forward a bit and kissed him his arms made their way around my waist as our lips molded together softly we gradually made our way back to the bed until my knees hit the edge "wait lock the door" I groaned as we fell back as he started kissing my neck he got up, went over clicked the lock and came back over all before I had the chance to catch my breath "let me help you" Luke mumbled against my fevered skin "why do you always insist on talking when we have sex" I asked panting but tilting my head to give him better access "because any other time you won't listen" he said "fine how exactly would you help me" I asked "marry me" he said questioningly "no, ask me again after" I said shaking my head he agreed and continued with his ministrations on my body after we laid next to each other hot bare skin touching as we tried to catch our breath once we did it didn't take us long to get cleaned up and presentable I walked over and unlocked the door leaning back into Luke when he came up behind me and wrapped me into his arms "i'm sorry for going off about Elise it wasn't right of me to ask you to stop seeing her all together" he whispered turning the handle and letting me go the door swung open just as I turned to kiss him "it's fine I should have told you what I was doing" I mumbled his hands came down to rest on my waist when I pulled away "you told me to ask you after" he said "I didn't mean straight away I meant once we've both come down from the sex high Luke" I replied trailing a single finger up the front of his pants "now that's not fair Jocelyn" he complained as I walked away "if you really mean calm down then come find me and ask" I stated heading downstairs looking for my daughters I found the in the library with Simon "who are you two and what have you down with Clary and Elise" I joked smiling "we're teaching each other all the runes we know" Clary said I leaned down and kissed each girl's temple softly "it's nice to have both of you here finally" I said as I watched them Clary teaching Elise the old runes while Elise showed Clary her runes I sighed softly when I felt my boyfriend's hands on my shoulder "hi calm yet" I asked "yes does that mean I can ask now" he said I glanced back at him "why do you want to so bad and please don't say it's to help because that's a load of bull you wouldn't be this persistent if that's all it was" I said "because I love you is that so hard to believe" he asked I shook my head he took the chair next to me "I can wait for you I did the entire time you were married" he said "no need I have my answer I just wanted a reason" I said he looked at me hope shining in his eyes "you know you remind me of Clary and Elise when you look like that" I said "are you going to tell me your answer yet or am I going to have to guess" he said "yes" was all I said "wait yes as in yes you'll tell me, yes I have to guess or yes to my question" he asked confused "yes" I said again laughing "come on, women are complicated and annoying" he groaned "need I remind you that you sleep with this woman" I said pointing to myself "nope I get reminded enough thanks" he said grinning I stood up before leaning down to his ear "I can't marry you" I whispered "finally a straight answer" he said dramatically throwing his hands into the air as he brought them back down I grabbed a hold of one tangling our fingers together even though I could see the hurt in his eyes as I sat on his lap pulling his arm around me laughing "drama queen" Clary said I thought for a moment about how to tell the girls "what's wrong" Luke asked kissing my shoulder "how are we supposed to tell them" I said nodding my head to the girls who were now back to working on their runes "I have a way to ask but you need to promise not to interrupt me until i'm done" he said "okay I promise" I said hesitantly "can I ask you girls something" he asked a little louder so the red-heads in front of us could hear him they both looked up at us grimacing a bit when they first seen the position we were in before fully focusing on Luke "what would you say if one day you mother and I were to become more..... permanent" he asked struggling for the right word I raised my eyebrow at him a smile playing at my lips "I lied I just wanted to ask" he murmured rolling my eyes I turned back to the girls who were watching us amused "I can't say that i'd mind" they said at the same time before turning to grin at each other for a second "what if it was soon" Luke asked hesitantly I leaned back into him with my head leaning against his shoulder and my eyes closed while I waited for it to click "wait Luke proposed" Clary yelled I winced "not so loud Clary but yes he did" I said "please tell me you said yes" the girls said Luke and I laughed as Clary jinxed Elise before snickering I quickly un-jinxed the eldest twin before answering their question "actually I said no" I glanced over to the side as Isabelle came up to us "hey do you mind if I steal Clary away" she said Clary said sure while Elise got up with a shared smirk to her sister I groaned as they left "really Clary" I said "how do you know which is which we look identical" she complained "I raised you both I know all the slight differences between the two of you" I said.
Elise's POV

Jocelyn's POV
I rolled my eyes when I seen Clary go into her room as Isabelle came out "I wonder how long until they do the same thing as you and Sophie" I heard behind me I yelped and turned to face my boyfriend with a glare "don't sneak up on a shadowhunter did you miss that lesson or something" I said hitting his arm "I know where you can find her if you want" he said quietly "Luke she's my older sister if I did find her what's to say she'd want to go back to that sort of thing between us" I asked "because I know you both and you weren't the only one that was heartbroken when she left Jocelyn" he pointed out "alright where's Sophie" I asked softly he grabbed my hand and pulled me after him after about an hour of walking and driving we finally arrived outside a fairly large victorian house.
Two teenage boys were playing soccer out the front I knew that they were both Shadowhunters from the agility the showed a brunette woman came out the door holding a tray in one hand and drink bottles in the other she handed a bottle each to the boys and placed the tray down Luke's hand made it's way to my back and went to push me forward "wait first...." I trailed off "relax there's nothing between us anymore I knew there wouldn't be, you would take Sophie over anyone anyday" he said I leaned up and softly kissed his cheek he pushed me toward Sophie and her boys "go" he said turning and walking away I turned and walked over to my older sister nervously "mom who's that" one of the boys asked "oh my god Jocelyn" Sophie said spotting me "hey" I replied smiling she came a bit closer until we were just a couple of feet between us "boys this is my younger sister Jocelyn, Joce these are my boys Michael and Anthony" she said gesturing to each boy in turn "it's nice to meet you boys" I said looking over at them "that makes you our aunt right" one of them said "yeah it does I guess" I answered laughing he was about to say something else when the other one Anthony I think came over and handed him a seraph blade "we should train, and nice to meet you aunt Jocelyn" Anthony said as they walked away from their mother and I Sophie moved in front of my hiding us from the boys as one of her hands made their way to mine "I missed you" she murmured "me too" I said softly looking down she moved her free hand up to my cheek cupping it and moving me to face her again she leaned down ever so slightly the question in her eyes I nodded my head once and she closed the gap between our lips starting of gently almost as if she was afraid I moved my arms around her neck and deepen the kiss rolling my eyes behind closed lids when she moaned softly we both pulled away "I missed that too" she whispered "what about you boys what if they find out" I said "look behind me but don't stare if I look or if someone else looks to long it's like they know or something it's kind of freaky" she mumbled I glanced behind her just as Michael knocked his brother to the ground leaning down to quickly kiss him they both got up and kept sparring "see I don't think they'd care" Sophie said "our families are messed up" I said she nodded and kissed me again "wait our families" she said suddenly pulling away "god don't do that you know what it does to me when you suddenly pull away like that" I groaned pouting "you haven't changed a bit since you were seventeen" she laughed "and what I meant is I have two girls twins actually they met today but i'm pretty sure they've already slept together" I said she grinned "so not much different from their mother then" she asked I shook my head and smiled "not really but I was a little better they had to wait until they were ninteen before they met where as I was thirteen the first time I conviced you to sleep with me" I pointed out "did you want to come inside have something to drink and whatnot" she asked I nodded and tangled our fingers together as she led me toward the house "get a room boys" she said as we walked by the boys as they kissed again "can we eat first" Michael asked "fine hurry up and get inside then" she sighed smiling as they raced inside "we currently have a spare room because those two have shared a room since they were babies and now they refuse to sleep seperate" she said as we followed them to the kitchen where Sophie served them each some quiche she held another plate in my direction with the same thing on it "thanks I haven't eaten all day" I said taking the plate from her gratefully "I guessed" she said I jumped a bit when my phone rang "hey Clary what's wrong" I said answering and instantly hearing my daughter's worried voice "wait Clary calm down, okay stop, take a breath, now try again slower so I can understand" I instructed she re-explained the situation trying to keep her voice even "okay go find Luke he'll bring you to me where's Elise" I asked she started panicking again "Clary stop i'll be there soon" I assured "okay love you too bye" I said hanging up "sorry slight problem at the institute my daughter Clary is freaking out" I explained "it's fine though you did have me a little worried when you said love you too" Sophie said "not possible I have loved anyone properly that way since you" I said shaking my head she nodded and leaned over the bench softly kissing me "I hope you bring them to meet me one day" she said pulling back "yeah I will bye" I said giving each boy a quick hug when they asked. "Mom" Clary called when I walked in the door "hey sorry it took me so long" I said as she led me over to her sister "Jocelyn what happened why did he attack here" Maryse said coming over to us "I don't know why he's attacking anywhere Maryse just like I say everytime" I sighed "he's your son" she snapped I whirled to face her glaring "he may be my son by birth but that is as far as it goes he is his father's son in every other sense I don't know that boy because he certainly isn't the same baby I gave birth to" I growled she looked shocked before backing away and going back over to her family "come on I have someone I want you two to meet" I said turning to the girls again they nodded and went upstairs to pack some stuff I went up to my own room and packed a bag for myself "you can't put the blame on me if i'm not here so i'll go stay somewhere else both girls can handle themselves and so can I so don't worry Maryse" I said turning to face the woman now standing at my door "where will you stay you apartment got destroyed" she asked "we'll stay with my sister" I said walking past her and downstairs where Clary and Elise were waiting for me "Sophie, the last time you two were together she walked away" Maryse said "no she didn't thanks to what you told our parents she was forced to marry there is a huge difference Mary" I said "so why are you going to see her now why not just leave things the way they were Lyn" she asked "you have no right to be questioning my actions Maryse not when you have secrets of your own and I know the worst one of all" I said quietly "we agreed that never happened" she said "I have to go I need to get my daughters to safety because here isn't I suggest you do the same" I murmured walking away it didn't take us long to get there the girls looked around the question clear on their faces "Joce back so soon" Sophie said coming out the front I walked up dropping my bag in favor for wrapping my arms around her neck and kissing her "you have no idea have bad the last couple of hours have been" I muttered pulling away breathing heavily "I might have an idea or two" she whispered pressing her lips to my forehead as I held her close "want some coffee or something else" she asked "just water thanks" I said finally pulling away reaching down beside me to grab my bag again "coming" I called back to the girls once we were all inside the boys came back downstairs and hugged me saying a quick hello before each grabbing an apple and racing upstairs once again "sorry about them they've spent the past forty or so minutes racing around the house doing god knows what" Sophie said "Soph can I ask you something" I asked turning to my older sister "you're my baby sis course you can" she said handing me a glass of water "you know what nevermind it doesn't matter" I mumbled shaking my head to clear the tears burning in my eyes I looked down at my glass not at her until she crouched down in front of my chair looking up at me "Joce what's going on" she asked worried "nothing it's fine" I said reaching a hand up to wipe my eyes "well anytime you feel like talking you know i'll listen right" she said I nodded before leaning down slightly pressing a soft kiss to her lips "I know thank you" I said quietly.
Chapter 2
Clary's POV
"Mom what's going on" I asked looking between her and the brunette crouched in front of her "boys you want to come downstairs and meet them" mom called out a few seconds later two teenage boys raced downstairs coming to a stop in front of my mom they had a hold of each other's hand and were kind of hiding them or trying to at least I jumped when I felt Elise slip her hand into my own before turning my head to quickly smile at her "girls this is my older sister Sophie and her two sons Anthony and Michael, boys, Soph these are my two girls Clary and Elise" mom said pointing to each person in turn Sophie looked at us confused when we pointed to each other and changed the names "stop it you two" mom pointed to me "that one's Clary she has the blue heart gem on her necklace" she said "and the one that has the red gem is Elise" she added pointing to the other red haired girl "oh so that's how you know" Elise said "nope that's a way for others to know" she said laughing we both groaned at the same time "that's enough you pair" she chaised "are we going to be staying here for a while" I asked "if Sophie doesn't mind" mom said glancing at her sister "stay as long as you want Jocelyn I don't mind it'll be nice having us all together even if we are all a little weird" Sophie said laughing "what do you mean by weird" I asked "you two from what I heard might have gone a little far for normal sisters, the boys have been lovers since they turned twelve and your mom and I used to date although I hope we can go back to that" she said smiling at mom quickly mom nodded and kissed her cheek before they both stood up "how did you know" I asked my face flushing dark red "I guessed" mom said "is there somewhere we can put our stuff" Elise asked "yeah though I should warn you I had this house built just before I had Michael so not much is the same" Sophie said "that's fine" Elise and I said at the same time I looked around the kitchen properly.

"Did you two want seperate rooms or one together" Sophie asked we glanced at each other before agreeing on together she smiled and started upstairs the rest of us not far behind her "just quickly this is the boys room they got me to redecorate a few months ago though it's the only room that's been changed since it was first built" she said as we passed a room I glanced in and gasped quietly,
"wow so the boys picked all that out" I asked she nodded leading to another room a little further down "this'll be yours and Elise's room" she said opening the door and stepping aside "if you want anything changed just let me know" she added as we stepped in "woah" we said,
"it's looks really nice" I admitted quietly "so it's not too much" she asked we both shook our heads "the whole thing is nice honest" I said sitting on the end of the bed closest to the door "thank you" Elise said sitting down next to me mom came into the room and glanced around before shooting a quick smile to Elise and I Sophie came up behind mom and wrapped her arms around her waist "did you want your own room" she asked leaning on mom's shoulder mom shook her head "I didn't when we were kids why would that be any different now" she asked "true come on i'll show you my room" Sophie said stepping away slightly and grabbing mom's hand as they left the room the boys came to the door "do you two want anything" they asked I shook my head so did Elise they nodded and left closing the door behind them.
Jocelyn's POV
"Close your eyes for me" Sophie whispered I did as she asked a little confused I heard the door open and then her fingers against my own gently grasping her hand I let her lead me into the room she let go of my hand and a few seconds later I felt her resuming the postition from the girls room "kay open" she murmured I opened my eyes and glanced around the light room in awe "this is your room" I asked I felt her nod,
I moved my hands up over the top of hers turning my head to kiss her deeply "it looks exactly like our room from when we were kids and thank you for letting us stay" I mumbled "it's fine really Joce" she said slowly moving us toward the bed "pushy much" I said smirking but pulling away and grabbing her hand pulling her the rest of the way laying back on the bed I pulled her down on top of me "not pushy just desperate it's been way too long since I touched you I need you" she pleaded I didn't answer with words instead choosing to lean up and capture her lips with my own in a searing kiss that left us both breathless her hands moved to the hem of my shirt as she began sliding her fingers up I sat up and shrugged my jacket off before stripping my shirt almost completely baring my torso to her she started kissing down my neck only reaching the top of my bra before going back up her teeth lightly dragged against my skin just under my ear "Soph" I breathed her hand started toward my back I arched of the bed long enough to allow her the undo my bra before laying down again and pulling her into me kissing her passionately suddenly a knock at the door startled us both from our highs "who is it" Sophie called out "what time's dinner" I heard one of the boys call through the door she groaned and dropped her head on my shoulder "would you think me a bad person if I said that at the moment I wish the kids would go away" she grumbled "maybe a little" I said pushing her off and doing my bra up again as well as putting my shirt back on draping my jacket over the bench at the end of the bed "come on I have no doubt that the other three are hungry as well" I said getting up she followed me out to the kitchen where the kids were waiting I helped her make some dinner for us all and soon we were sitting down at the table eating carbonara "tell your stomachs they have the worst timing in history" Sophie muttered to the kids "why" Anthony asked "just because trust me you don't want to know" I quickly cut in before Sophie said anything else "you didn't have to cut me off" she mumbled I slapped her thigh "yes I did you've a bit much to drink Soph and you currently don't have a filter on your mouth" I said smiling "no if I didn't have a filter then I would have said it a lot worse" she pointed out "you would have if I didn't cut you off" I teased smirking she went to say something else but I leaned over and chastely kissed her stopping any reply "mean" she mumbled going back to eating I laughed and went back to my own dinner.
Michael's POV
"Do you boys mind doing the dishes please" mom asked I shook my head and glanced at my younger brother "no that's fine mom" he said standing and taking his plate to the kitchen I collected everyone else's plates and followed him halfway through the dishes one of Jocelyn's girls came in glancing at the necklace I seen it was blue which means it was Clary "hey" I said quietly "did you want some help" she asked "nah it's okay we're nearly done anyway but thanks for the offer" I said smiling "sure mom went to bed already your mom's watching a movie and Elise is doing who knows what in our room so i'm pretty bored right now" she said I glanced at my brother "go ahead I can finish up here I need to think about homework anyway and I can't do that if i'm in the bedroom at the same time as you" he said grinning I smirked before leaning over pressing a quick kiss to his cheek "kay but we'll be in the game room anyway" I said shrugging mom chose right then to come in "no you won't not until your homework is done got it" she said "but tomorrow's Saturday can't I do it in the morning" I complained "no the last time I let you leave you homework you ended up leaving it until last minute Monday morning so no go do it now" she said sternly folding her arms "this sucks it's just one essay" I muttered walking away throwing a quick sorry to Clary "it's fine don't worry about it" she said as I left the room heading up to my bedroom after about an hour of boring writing someone knocked at the door "come in" I called not looking up from my place at the desk "hey" I heard a shy girl's voice I turned and seen the glint of red "hey Elise" I said quietly as I returned to my writing she sat down on the edge of the bed staying there until i'd finished "finally i'm done" I sighed tucking it into my folder before turning to the guest in my room "what's up" I asked "Clary said you might want some company" she said softly "thanks but she didn't have to" I said quickly "we know but considering both our moms are dating and each others sister I thought I might get to know you guys a little better" she said "when you put it like that it sounds really weird" I said laughing "well i've slept with my sister have no regrets and from what i've heard you're dating your brother so I guess that makes us all weird then" she pointed out "I was going to play some Halo if you want to join" I offered "Halo... i've never played video games before in my life" she admitted "it's okay the concept of the game's pretty easy to grasp you'll be fighting the covenent in no time" I assured her with a smile she tucked her hands in her lap and glanced at the xbox quickly before nodding I grabbed my controller and a spare handing her the spare I got everything set up "you'll have to play as a guest because Tony hates it when other use his profile" I said following my instructions she quickly signed in and waited for me to set up the game a little while after we started she was killed before even passing the first level "sorry" she murmured trying different guns that she found she decided that actually hitting the aliens was more fun Clary and Tony came in sitting behind respective partners and watching us for a while "bedtime kids" we glanced up at Jocelyn and mom standing at the door "but we're on the last level" I complained "no you have school in the morning" mom said "actually mom it's friday and we're fifteen" Tony pointed out "huh" we all laughed even Jocelyn at the confused look mom was wearing
