Chapter 1

   The summer is empty to me now. All that I take in for joy is playing with Ace and hanging out with Josh and Kristen. Yes my happy life has fell apart right in front of me. Alex hasn’t been seen for days now but they didn’t move to another state. I tried to call him after I saw him at graduation and after the plays we did but nothing. He has took me out of his life all because I would be in danger.

  I seat in my window and watch everyone outside play and have a good old time. Last year when the school let out Kate and Layne came by to see me but they ran by and just looked at the window. My world is ending now. I can’t even work on a natural bases. I hardly ever eat anymore and I can’t get this pain in my heart to go away from me.

  Josh sat in my room with me as I stared at my wall that had his wolf on it. I wanted to run my fingers through that fur and feel how soft it is to my touch. I loved that feeling but no I’m empty without him here for me. I sighed as I got up and went to the door. Josh followed me out as I went to the kitchen to see if my mom got back from her trip.

“Do you want to go skate?”Josh said,”That use to make you happy.”

“What’s the point in being happy,”I said looking at him,”For what you care about the most to get taken away from you.”

“Wow that was dark,”Mom said,”You still haven’t fixed her.”

“I can’t even get her to eat Ice Cream,”Josh yelled,”She is broken and I have no idea how to fix her.”

“Well that’s just…”My mom said stopping before she said the curse word.

“Go ahead and say it,”I said walking out of the house,”I don’t care about that anymore.”

   The didn’t say anything after that since cursing was one of my biggest pet peeve. I walked out to my dirt bike and got on it. I need to clear my head of all of this. I started the engine and listened to the roar of it. I got my helmet on and zoomed away from the house of my painful life. I let the wind fly through my hair as Alex’s truck passed by me. He looked at me as I stared at him. He had the window rolled down and was staring ahead of me.

“Catherine look out!”He yelled as I was flipped.

   I landed on something soft and my head was spinning like the world was playing tricks on me. I could barely hear anything as Alex’s face was spinning around in my sight. He took off my helmet as he was yelling something at someone. I saw a swirling version of Jacky step out with a phone talking on it.

   I looked forward and saw that Alex was mouthing something to me. I tried to concentrate on that as my hearing seemed to be slowly coming back to me. I tried to listen to it but it was still fuzzy to me. I felt my body get tired as it wanted to go down but I tried to fight it off.

“Don’t die on me,”He said as my hearing got better.

“Alex,”I said horsely,”What happen?”

“You hit a deer,”He said,”Then you hit your head on a rock.”

“Is the deer alright?”

“Yeah, Kate’s looking after him right now.”

“Alex am I going to be alright?”

“You will.”

“Alex,”Jacky said,”Josh and her mom are on the way. It will be soon when the medics get here.”

“Did you get a vet,”Kate yelled as the deer came with her,”For her to check out the deer for Catherine.”

   I looked at them all as the red and blue lights came to my view. I was picked up and placed on a bed as they looked around for someone to go with me. Alex told Jacky to get the truck home and joined me in the truck. I closed my eyes as the doors were shut and I blacked out.

 

~~~3 hours later~~~

 

  Beep, Beep, Beep

   What’s that stupid sound coming from? I could only see darkness. I slowly saw the pictures of Alex and me hanging out and having a good time. They seemed so far away now that he was gone now. It changed to when he left me and my eyes decided to work then. They slowly opened up to see that Alex wasn’t here anymore and he was replaced with Josh.

  Josh was in the chair beside the bed with his head next to my hip. I laughed and slowly raised my hand to poke him. He caught it before I could and laid it down. I gave a little smile at him as my mom and dad sat at the end of my bed. They looked like they had a heart attack.

“I’m so glad you’re alright,”Dad said facing me with a smile,”When Jacky called saying you got into a accident I almost had a heart attack.”

“Where are they?”I asked looking around.

“They left when we got here,”Josh said.

“I told you that boy was bad news,”Mom said kissing my head,”I’ll see you when you get home.”

“Alright,”I said horsely.

  She left the room as Josh had to go home to see his dad. I looked out the window as Dad walked to sit in the window. I heard a knock on the door and turned to see Alex, Jacky, Alicia, Layne, and Kate all standing there. I waved them in as Kate and Layne crawled on the bed to sit with me. I looked at Alicia and Jacky as they both smiled at each other then to me. I turned to Alex as he tried not to look at me.

“Kate’s my Mate,”Layne whispered into my ear,”I forgot to tell you when we went skating.”

“That’s alright buddy,”I said ruffling his hair,”Just take care of her.”

“How are you?”Alicia asked,”Kristen is scared to death right now.”

“Fine I guess,”I said looking at Alex,”Thanks for helping me Alex. It means a lot to me.”

“I don’t want to lose you forever,”He said looking me in the eye,”I’ll be there to save you.”

“Then turn me,”I said as his face seemed pained,”I would be with you forever and then you don’t have to worry about me getting hurt all the time.”

“I just can’t do that to you,”He said walking out.

   I watched every step as my heart shattered into a million pieces. Jacky did that for Alicia but I can’t get that without being told no. I watched as they walked out one by one with Layne staying the longest. He was the one that saw me like an older sister and loved me like one. I turned to my dad as a tear rolled down my cheek. Why does this have to be so hard? Why can’t this be like a fairy tale where the boy gets the girl? Why can’t he change me?

Chapter 2

 “She’s is undergoing depression,”The doc said to my dad,”She will be taking some meds that will help with it.”

“Thank you Doc,”Dad said with a hand on my back.

“If you need anything call,”Doc said as we walked out the room.

  I was in there for two weeks and they figured out that I was in depression. I don’t even care anymore what people think about me or even if they see me cry. I just want to have my boyfriend back to be with him again. I feel like I’m on the first step of everything that takes time to build up. I hate this feeling and everything that goes with it.

  Dad lead me to the car as I stared into the blank world. I was being trapped in my own little world of hate and depression. I got into the car as he was staring at me as if wondering if something was wrong or not. I looked out the window as he sighed at something. I took out my cell phone to see if I can get Josh to come over.

“Hey,”I said.

“What you want now?”He asked,”Whoa that’s normally what you would say to me.”

“Can you come over?”I said with a puppy dog emoji with it,”It would mean a lot.”

“I wish I could :-(,”He said as my face dropped,”Dad got me working today. Maybe tomorrow.

“Alright.”

“Hey you and Kristen could spend time with one another today.”

“I’ll do that then.”

“Talk to you later.”

“See ya.”

  I texted Kristen quickly telling her to come over if she can but she had to babysit her cousin. Great no one to hang out with. I looked out the window and saw Alex’s wolf. He was looking at me and then ran away. I faced forward as Dad rubbed my arm. I huffed as the car came to a stop in front of our driveway. I ran in and up to my room. Ace was there asleep on my bed like he does now.

“Move over,”I said pushing him,”I want on my bed to.”

  He licked my face as I turned over to face the far wall. I stared at it as my music began to blast out of my speakers. At least I got nothing else to look forward to.

 

~~~Alex~~~

 

   I walked into the house like Mr. Clark had asked me to when they got home. I looked around and saw the same warm walls that held pictures of Catherine as she grew up. I saw one though over the fireplace of me and her together. I was behind her with my arms around her neck as she looked behind and up to me.

   That day seemed like nothing could have gone wrong and it was just perfect. Now life is like...Tartarus came to ruin life. I think he is the pit guy. Catherine would know about that. I looked around and saw Mr. Clark staring at me as I moved to take a seat. I heard music blast from above but that was all. No talking or laughing.

“Her friend and cousin are busy,”He said as if knowing,”So she is all alone with nothing to do.”

“Why am I really here?”I asked wanting to leave.

“I want you to fix my baby girl,”He said taking a seat,”Her hope filled eyes have went dark. She has started to carry a gun with her. She doesn’t even like weapons but she said it was for the in case moments. I think Josh is changing her.”

“Kristen can fix her.”

“Kristen is here only when Josh can’t be here.”

“That’s not even possible.”

“When you left her. She ran back in with tears running down. A few moments later Josh ran in and up to her room. Kristen didn’t even know what happen till a week after it.”

“You’re saying that Josh is most likely taking advantage of this and is trying to show her the monster.”

“You tell me,”He said looking me in the eye,”She’s in depression, Seeking safety in her cousin, and No one has seen her since the graduation.”

   I looked up at where the broken form I had left would most likely be. I been staying out of sight for the memories of us hunted my heart. I didn’t know that Catherine had locked herself in this house from it all. I stood up and made my way to the door. I opened it and ran all the way home.

  How could she take safety in HIM? Why would you take anything to him? She’s hurt and wants to feel like someone cares for her. That’s all she wants right. No you idiot she wants you and only you. But she could be trying to guilt you into changing her. Then we would be together and none of this would have happen. But you would be taking her away from her family and loved ones.

 Great I’m at war with myself. I looked forward at the house and stopped in my tracks. Everyone was outside looking at me as if I grown two heads. They’re worry about you and Catherine. That stupid voice is getting on my last nerve but it has a point. I turned on my heels and turned to get to Catherine as fast as I could. I have to see something.

Chapter 3

   I sat there with him as we were on the date Kristen had set up for us. It was a moonlight picnic. It was sweet of her to do this for the two of us. His hand was on my stomach tracing shapes into it as I looked at the stars. They were beautiful and I loved watching them. I heard him sigh as he layed down with me to the side of him.

“She sure knows us more than we think,”He said smiling.

“It’s scary really,”I said looking at him,”But she is a scary person as we all know.”

“Maybe that’s a good thing,”He said kissing my temple.

  I shot up as the memories were the only thing that kept me from it all. I held onto them for dear life but they only made it worse for me. I went over to my music player and put on Come with Me Now by Kongos. I started to walk around as I spotted my camera in the corner. Maybe one Youtube video wouldn’t hurt.

    I went over to it and set everything up to make one of my many WOLF of HOME videos. I took a seat in front of the camera as I restarted the song. Better now or not. I clicked it to started and faked smile into the camera.

“What up guys,”I said,”It’s your girl White Pawed. I haven’t made one of these in a while so let start with the Q&A’s you all have asked me from last time.”

   I reached for my phone as the video played and I singed to the song I was blasting. I moved to it as I was sure people would laugh at me for doing this. I pulled up my question and faced the camera.

“Ok so the first one is ‘White Paw I lost my boyfriend and we been together for three years. What would you do?’”I read off the list,”Well I’m going through this as well and right now I can’t answer you. But stay strong and keep the people you love around you. They can help with it all and if that doesn’t work go to him and see if he will talk to you. Okay so next question is ‘White Paw, Have you ever seen a werewolf before and if so are they really mean?’ First off yes I have and who ever say they are mean it is only a certain kind but the ones I met our sweet and caring. I would say for you to go out and see but just trust me.”

  I went on like that for twenty minutes till I decide that was enough and ended the video. I rolled over to my computer and uploaded my video with my special effects and Centuries by Fall Out Boy playing in the background of my opening credits. I put that the song was their as I had done so many times before. I pushed the button and the video went on for the world to see.

   I rolled myself back to my original spot as there was a knock on my door. I yelled a come in as I set the camera back up to make another one. I heard light footsteps as I was busy getting ready for the next one I was going to do. This would so much easier if Kristen was here to make a crossover with me. I went to roll over to my phone when I saw Kristen standing behind me. I smiled as she nodded to me. We both took our spots as I turned to camera on.

“I’m White Paw,”I said smiling into the camera.

“I’m Venom Striker,”Kristen said.

“And we welcome you to night of terror,”We said together with a laugh.

“So you have asked us to do this video for a while now and I think you will get it,”I said creepy.

“So we are going to tell you the most dangerous times we have faced while we have been alive.”

“I had some bad one Venom.”

“I know Paw.”

“Like when I was attack by a pack of wolves that were not too friendly.”

“You almost died.”

“My life flashed before my eyes.”

  I looked at Kristen as she went on about her sister’s level 18. We both gave terrified faces as we both didn’t like that one. I told them about my recent accident and I turned to Kristen as she held onto me like I was going to leave her any minute. We both laughed and she looked at me as the video was going to end soon.

“Paw here has lost her boy and has been hurting,”Kristen said as I stared at her,”I would love for you to write in the comments below for her to get better and stay strong for all of us. So show the love for her by commenting and it doesn’t matter if they are big or small for she will read them.”

“SO PEACE!”We both yelled at the camera.

   I took the camera and did what I did last time but put it to our tune we both made up. I smiled as the video looked amazing and I posted it to both of our channels. She took a seat on my bed as I rolled over to her. There was a reason why she was here and I had to go through that.

“It’s for Alex,”She said as her smile disappeared,”He wants to know if it is really worth it.”

“What’s worth it?”I asked looking at her.

“Hanging out with Josh.”

“Well yeah it is. He has been the one person who knows what I’m going through right now. He’s family and will always be there for me.”

“I can help you know.”

“I know but this is more than what we regularly go through Kristy.”

“It’s like you have replaced me with him!”

“Kristy I haven’t. I just need Josh here because he knows a lot more about them then you do.”

“Oh so now he’s smarter than me!”

“No he is still an idiot but right now…”

“Then why don’t you hang out with me any more? If you haven’t really change. Then why are you around him so much now? Catherine he is changing you into your mom.”

“No He’s not Kristen!”

“Look then,”She said standing up,”And when you realize what he’s doing to you call me.”

  She stormed out at that one and left me there with tears coming to my eyes. What just happened? One minute your best friends then the next you’re by yourself. I looked out the window as she drove off to her house. I looked out the window as tears started to pour down my face once again. Life hated me. What did I do to get all of this in my once perfect life?

  I fell to my bed as I wanted this all to go back the way it was before. It was unfair to me and everyone I held close to me. I watched as the dark sky shown more now. I went to sit up as the lights went out in the house. Great this is just great. I first lose my best friend, NOW the lights don’t work any more.

  I turned to my window as a shadow was there looking at me. He was the same size as Alex but had a different feel to him. It was like he was what was left of him. As if the world has took him away and left the shell there. The figure walked over to me and laid me down on the bed. I wanted to fight but something was telling me that it was going to be alright. I allowed him to get beside me as the thunder rolled in the distance. The figure held me as if afraid I wasn’t going to be here for long. I sighed as I realized it was Alex.

“My terms are still the same you know,”I said as he sighed,”I just want to be with you.”

“But it’s too dangerous for you in my world,”He said.

“You mean our world.”

“Catherine, I want you safe from it all. I don’t want them to take away the only light I have ever found since I was turned. I don’t want that to happen to you.”

“Alex, I will have you there for me. I wouldn’t be alone when I start. For I know you would be by my side for the whole thing.”

“But then you would have to go against your family.”

“I do that everyday it seems.”

“They would be after you for blood.”

“Blood is thicker than Water.”

“Stop countering my arguments,”He said sitting up to face me,”I’m trying to win this.”

“I got Josh as a cousin,”I said mocking him,”You got to try better than that.”

“How about forget me and life will be fine.”

“You tried that one already and you see where that got us.”

“Maybe you should try harder than that.”

  With that he left out the room as if he was never he in the first place. I sighed as I thought back to what life was like before this madness. The hard thing with that was Alex was always on my mind. I took out my cell knowing I need a friend from my old home here with me. He should be able to help me out with it all.

 I dialed the number as I took out an old picture of my childhood friend. He was about my height and like my twin brother. We knew everything about each other and loved to hang. I listen to each ring as it was about midnight right now. I looked at his natural brown hair with green streaks in it as a very tired voice picked up.

“Hello?”He said.

“Hey it’s me,”I said as a thud happen.

“Chika, What are you doing up so late,”He said as I laughed,”You hate staying up this late.”

“I do,”I smiled,”But my heart is broken and I just lost my other best friend and the boy that I love want do what I had asked him to do. So I thought maybe my twin would help me out some.”

“Frist of all what’s the thing you want him to do,”He said kind of scared.

“I want him to turn me into a wolf.”

“I’ll be there in the LATE morning.”

“Thanks Bro.”

“Your Welcome Wolfgirl.”

Chapter 4

   I woke up the next morning to Ace barking in my ear to get me up. I laughed at him as he does this when my twin is here. I got up still in my sweatpants and Poseidon’s wolf shirt on. I ran down stairs to see three bags of things and the door wide open. I ran out there to see that he was moving in with us. I gave a smile as he walked over with two more bags.

“Nick,”I said running to him.

“Catherine,”He said dropping his stuff so he could catch me.

 He spun us around as we both laugh. I was set on my feet as I realized I was in my socks without shoes on my feet. I ran back in as he laughed at me. I found my boots and went back out to help him get his things into the room Mom had got him. He was going to be on my floor in the room next door.

  It took us three trips to get the things up to the room but that was because we never hurry up. We enjoy our time together with each other. It’s our little weird perks of being the two of us. We finally got him settle in before going out to the woods to walk around and talk about my life of Tartarus. I had changed in the progress and was now in my blue jean shorts and black t-shirt. He was in the similar thing but had bluejeans on.

“Give me the name Chika,”He said as we got near the house.

“Alex Morris, Chiko,”I said as he looked at me,”Do you know him from somewhere?”

“Yeah he’s good for you,”He said looking at the house,”He’s Alpha now.”

“He said I was his mate.”

“Girl I feel your pain now.”

“Do you think you can talk to him. Wolf to Wolf.”

“I think I can.”

   Nick is the only wolf in Dallas, Texas that I had ever met. My mom doesn’t know that but Dad and I do. He has the bluest eyes I have ever seen but they are not like my heart breaking green and golden ones. We walked up to the house as Layne ran out to me. He does this everytime I come and I love it when he does.

“Catherine,”He said happily,”I missed you!”

“I missed you too Layne,”I said hugging him.

“Who’s that?”

“This is Nick. He’s my twin but my best friend.”

“That’s make no sense.”

“He is my best friend but people say we are twins.

“I got it now.”

  We laughed as we walked into the grand house. It looked like it was heart broken as the light and joy of it seemed to have died. I looked around and saw everyone was eyeing Nick. He looked at me as I gave a chuckle at how they were acting like. Alex was at the stairs staring at Nick as we walked to the bottom of them. Alex stayed at the top as he didn’t pay attention to me.

“What are you doing here?”He asked Nick,”We don’t need anymore wolves here.”

“I’m here for this girl here,”He said putting his arm around me,”I’m living with her and I wanted to meet the guy that she gave her heart to.”

“Well then leave,”Alex said as he saw me,”For she is not suppose to be here.”

“But then I wouldn’t get to see her,”Layne said hugging my waist.

“Alex you can’t do that to us,”I said looking at him,”Nick is here to help me. He’s a wolf like you said and I knew him all of my life. If you want to be this way then fine but you can’t stop me from being here for them.”

“Leave,”He said going away.

   I looked at them as they all turned away from me. He just kicked me out of the house. I looked at Layne as he was almost at tears. I gave him a hug as I turned to leave the house. Layne went to follow but K.C. grabbed him. I looked at the little boy as he was crying now.

“Layne you got my number,”I said to him,”If you want me to watch you I will.”

“Please,”He said as Alex was at the top now,”Don’t Leave All Of Us.”

   I looked at Alex as he watched Layne cry into her arms like a three year old. Layne treated me like I was his older sister and not some girl that Alex had loved. I stopped in my tracks and went over to Layne. I took his hand as Kate also came to take my other  one. We all walked out as Nick was trying not to laugh at what I just did.

“I’m not of the pack so you can’t tell me what I can or can’t do,”I said as we left,”I’ll bring them back when it’s almost dark.”

  I walked out as Layne and Kate hanged onto my hands for dear life. Nick picked up Kate as Layne walked beside me now a little happier. Nick was laughing his head off as I held a proud smile on my face. We all head back home as I heard footsteps following close behind us. We stopped as a sandy and grey wolf stopped in front of us.

“I pissed him off didn’t I?”I said as they both nodded,”Yep she was right. I’m turning into Josh and my mom.”

“Then stop hanging with that Idiot and hang with her and me,”He said with Kate on his shoulders,”Also what is these cuties names?”

“That’s Kate and this is Layne,”I said as I turned to Jacky and Alicia,”Tell him he hurt me and I will never forget him. Even if my life depended on it.”

Chapter 5

   I just walked the two little joys home and Layne looked upset again as I left to go home. I had Nick with me as I told Kristen to come over and that I was sorry for the other day. She told me to give her five minutes before she came over. I looked at my house as I saw she was looking around for me everywhere. I gave a small laugh as Nick got tense at something. Weird, he never does this when he meets new people.

“Yo twin are you alright?”I asked as he looked at me.

“She is her,”He said with puppy dog eyes.

“My two best friends are meant to be with each other. I never would have thought that was possible.”

“Yeah, Chika.”

“Yeah, Chiko.”

“What’s her name?”

“Kristen!”

  She looked over at me as he stared at her. We headed her way as Nick seemed nervous on meeting Kristen. This is going to be good. I went up to her and hugged the daylights out of her like I did when I had to go on a vacation for three weeks. She did it back as Nick stood to the right looking akward at something. I motioned him to come and he only moved three inches closer. Wow what a puppy.

“Who’s this Cathy?”Kristen asked looking at Nick.

“This is my twin,”I said as her eyes lite up.

“You’re the Nick,”She said with a huge smile,”The one that is the best friend of Catherine. The one that kept her sane for so many years. The…”

“I see you heard of me,”He joked.

“She doesn’t shut up about you,”Kristen said looking at me,”What are you doing here?”

“I came to live with her,”He said throwing his arm over me,”Got to keep her from going over the moon and getting lost without me.”

“I need my two best friends,”I smiled as she seem to be getting a crush on him.

“So your parents travel a lot,”Kristen said,”My dad does that for a living. What’s your last name?”

“Greengrass,”Nick said blushing a little bit.

“I never heard that,”Kristen said,”But it fights you.”

“Nicky is blushing,”I said as he faced me,”Ain’t that sweet of him.”

“You better ran,”He said as I ran to the door.

   I ran in and dove under the table my dad had his feet prot up on. I crawled over to him as Nick followed close behind me as I felt a hand grab my ankle. I let out a scream as he pulled me out from under it.

“The two of you are eighteen years old,”My mom gripped at us,”Will you act your age.”

“I don’t think we can,”I said like a three year old.

“My mind hurts to,”Nick followed suit.

“I got the babies,”Kristen said.

  I stood up and raced to my room with the other two in tow. I had ordered Kristen to stay the night and then Nick made Alex, Alicia, and Jacky come over any minute now. We were going to have a weird sleepover to celebrate my twin coming to live with me. I ran to my room and got my things as they got some of theirs. We all went to the big room on my floor and set it up.

  Jacob had put in a table for food and drinks. He had put in sleeping bags for all of us and had the room all made up like it was for a sleepover. I put my pillow and stuffed wolf in the bag in a corner where no one will be near me. I watched as Kristen and Nick chose theirs near each other. A little bit after Alex came and set his stuff by me. I looked around and saw that the others hadn’t chose where but was forced with the two on the other side of the room.

“Is this spot taken?”He asked sitting down.

“Now by you,”I said as he gave me a smile.

“So you know Nick Greengrass.”

“Yeah. We’re childhood friends or twins as people called us.”

“When did you found out about…”

“The day of it. He was scared of what I would think but he couldn’t let me not know. So on my birthday or the day after he was turned he told me about it.”

“Well at least it is him and not Josh.”

“You say that like it’s a bad thing.”

    He looked at me before standing up and walking away. Alright then don’t tell me why you said it like that. I don’t care that you hate my best friend that came all the way Texas to help me out. I stood up and went to sit by Nick as Alex was by Jacky. I looked at Nick with a pouty face as he knew what had happen. He stood up and went to the refreshment table. He picked up an empty bowl and grabbed some paper.

  He better not be doing that here. I watched as he went to the guys and told them to write down a time limit. They did and put it into the bowl. Then he grabbed my dad’s hat that he had put in here and told them to put in one item. He is doing this to me in my own house. He turned to me and smiled as if this was for me.

“I hope you ALL know how to play this game,”He said walking around our somewhat circle,”This is seven minutes in heaven redone. The lovely ladies here will first choose a time a guy had written down then chose an item to see who he will be. I’m not going to start with you Catherine.”

  He noticed the death glare I was giving him as everyone else had just saw the look. He gave a laugh knowing that we use to play this all the time back home. Yes we were around eight years old and was playing seven minutes in heaven. I sighed as he went up to Alicia. She stood up and walked over to the bowl. I watch her hand glided over one and picked it. She went over to Nick who held the hat up high. She picked one thing and went back to the middle of us.

“For twenty minutes,”She said looking at the small ball that belonged to,”Jacky!”

  He got up and they went to the closet but not before Nick said no to any kind of unvirganing the girls. We laughed at his wording as they happily went into the room. Kristen tapped my elbow as she looked nervous at something.

“Can you go next?”She asked looking very nervous now.

“Kristy is something wrong?”I asked as she looked down.

“I never had played this before.”

“Never.”

“At home it was shove your sibling in the closet to shut them up. Alicia had played it but I never had.”

“Well what you do is that you pick an object in the regular game but since we are doing redone you pick a time. When you and this person go in you can do whatever you want to. But the thing Nick said.”

“I hope I get him,”She said with dreamy eyes.

“You crushing on my twin,”I whispered joked.

   She laughed as he walked over to us and gave me the evil look. He knows this game ticks me off when I go first or second but I got to. I walked over to the door and gave them the five minute warning as he looked at me. We all counted down and on one I opened the door to see a make out session in play. I took a picture of them as they stopped to look at me.

  They walked out and I went to the bowl. I picked out a time and looked at it. For the rest of the night. I’m going to murder my twin before this ends wrongly for me. I walked over to him as I gave him my beyond ticked face. He laughed at me as he knew what I got.

“Wrote it just for you,”He said raising the hat,”Now draw his item.”

“If it’s you I will murder you in there,”I said as I put my hand into the bag.

  I felt something soothe with a chain on it. Really Nick you had to put your dog tags in here. I dug around til my hand hit something soothe but yet round. I let my hand curl around that object as I took it out. I kept my hand close as I slowly walked to the middle of the circle.

“For the rest of the night,”I said death glaring Nick,”With...” 

Chapter 6

  I slowly opened up my hand to see a ring with a loose knot on it. It had a paw print on the two loops. I looked at Alex as he seemed to have got what was in my hand. It was a promise ring in my hand. It had also slipped on my finger when I had grabbed it for some reason.

“Alex,”I finished as Nick was pushing me to the door with a bed in it.

  I was pushed in but luckily Alex caught me before it was too late. I heard the door lock as I stared at Alex. I took the ring off and went to hand it to him but he wouldn’t take it from me. Instead he slipped it on my ring finger.

“I want you to have it,”He said looking at me.

“Why did you do it to me?”I asked as he looked down.

“I don’t want you to have what I got to deal with,”He said not looking at me,”I don’t want you to be hunted down on a daily basis. I want you to be safe from everything.”

“Well I’m not a puppy,”I said raising his chin to make him look at me,”Nick can tell you that. I asked him here to talk with you to see the reason behind it all. Alex I love you.”

“I love you too,”He said about to kiss me but he pulled away,”That’s why I don’t want this for you.”

  He went to the door and tried to open it up. Nick locked it so there is no way we are going to escape this. I let out a small laugh at how this played out last time I had a crush and we got locked into the same room for the night. I was only nine and it was a going away party for me. Nick had came up with this idea to get the two of us into the same room. It never fails him.

“Why are you laughing?”Alex said still trying to open the door.

“Because Nick locked the door,”I said sitting on the bed,”He did this to me when I was going to leave my old home for here. He got me and my crush into the same room for the night. It never fails him.”

“And you’re laughing at that,”Alex said joining me on the bed,”That’s not funny.”

“If it wasn’t for him I would have never known the guy I had a crush on was gay,”I said laughing at it,”We just sat there talking about it and he seemed to have became less worried about the whole thing. That morning when Nick let us out I shoved one of my other gay friends into that room with him. They’re a happy couple now.”

“So you sat there with a gay guy and talked about who he liked.”

“Yeah and right before I had to leave people were making fun of him, so I punched the guy in the face and told him that people can like whoever they want to. He cried to his mommy but left them alone.”

“That is something to laugh about.”

   We looked at each other and burst into fits of laughter about it. I looked around and saw our things were in this room. Nick you are so lucky I can’t get to you right now. I found my phone and went to the old contact of the two people. I showed them to Alex and he nodded at them.

  I laid on the bed as he got right next to me. He had his arm around my waist lazily as I looked at my scream of the two of us staring at the other. I had change my password to Wolfbound as it was something easy to remember for me. I looked at him as he pulled my phone away from me. He leaned in and we kissed.

  This one though was better than any of the other one. It held passion and love in it. The need for the other to be with them was there. It was like it would be our last one but also the first for a long time. I can’t even find the words to described it to you. There was fireworks, nuclear bombs, all of the things to go BOOM. Wow I’m on a rant now. Our lips moved in sync as if they were made for each other. I put my arms around his neck as his stayed around my waist.

  He pulled me on top of him as we stayed there. I pulled away as we rested our foreheads on one anothers. I looked into his eyes and saw the want and love for me there. I smiled as he put me right beside him. He played with my hair as I drew circles on to his stomach. I looked at him as he was staring at me. It was like the perfect moment for the two of us. I snuggled into him as it got cold in the room. He was warm to my most likely freezing body. He let out a laugh as I got closer to him.

“Where the thermostat?”He asked as I looked up at him.

“Outside with them,”I said as he put the covers over the two of us,”I’m going to murder Nick if he did that. He knows I like the cold but not way below freezing.”

“It could be Jacky or Alicia as well,”He said as I took in a deep breath,”How about you go to sleep.”

   I looked at him as he smiled down at me. I sat up and removed my shirt to show the blue tank top I had underneath it. He removed his shirt and laid back down. I had to make myself not look at his abs. I let out a sigh as I got back to where I was before. He wrapped his arms around me as I had my head on his bare chest.

   I looked at the door and mentally thanked Nick for doing this to me. I closed my eyes as I heard him sigh into my hair. Did he miss me like I had missed him? I laid there as I heard hushed voices come from outside the door. They are so going to pay for leaving me out on the fun but at least I was in for a night of heaven. 

Chapter 7

“They look so cute together,”Kristy’s voice ranged in the darkness.

“Did you get the picture?”Nick asked as a flash happened.

“Should we wake them up?”Jacky asked,”For if Alex is woken up I say Nick does it.”

“Let’s leave them in their peace,”Alicia said.

   I slowly opened my eyes up as those three left without Nick who stayed behind. I looked at him as he was smiling down at me. I gave a little chuckle as I noticed that Alex was still asleep. I was still in his arms from last night. I looked at him as he seemed proud.

“Yes you are thanked,”I said looking at him.

“I had Kristen in the closet till about midnight,”He said looking at me,”It was what Alex wrote down for the time.”

“Did you make it freezing in here last night?”

“No. Why would I make it freezing in here for the two of you? You hate it being that cold.”

“Jacky.”

“Am I missing something here?”

“Tell you later.”

   He nodded his head and walked out as Alex’s grip tighten around me. He began to mumble something as he rolled on his back with me on top of him again. I gave a laugh as he opened his eyes up to see me looking at him with a spark in my eye. He looked at me as if I was the sun to a blind person. He held me in that one spot as if afraid to let me go. I kissed his nose as I was on my stomach and on top of him.

“Can I roll to the side?”I asked as he tightened his grip.

“I like you where you are,”He said in his husky morning voice.

“But this looks really wrong right now.”

“Well we both got clothes on.”

“You are so wrong for that one.”

“Well it’s true isn’t it.”

“Yes but there are how many people here. Including my mother who still hates you.”

“I don’t care about her.”

   I looked at him as he seemed to have smiled at me for once. Nick had closed the door and that left the two of us to our peace. He kissed my neck as I closed my eyes. He was acting like he never had said that and that’s what I want but to be with him for both of our life times. I looked at him as I heard Do You Hear What I Hear? by CMC. I closed my eyes as I sanged along with it. Alex joined in as the ones outside our door did as well.

   I looked at him as he sat us both up. I was in his lap as the song played around us. It finished and I looked at him as he seemed to be debating something. I looked at him as he had his gaze on me. I gave him a questioning look as he kept his gaze on me. I poked his nose and he crinkled it up. I laughed as he kissed my forehead. I looked at him as he seemed to have found his answer to the question he had.

“I’ll think about it,”He said,”I don’t want to take you away from the people you love or them from you. If I think it would be best for you, I will.”

“Thank you,”I said throwing my arms around him.

“But only if I think it’s for the best,”He laughed at me.

“I don’t care right now for I know you will see it is,”I said happily.

  I heard the door open and a very happy Kristen bounced in and over to us. She was almost bouncing off the wall for she was so happy. I laughed as she was making the bed bounce with her. Wow what ever it is she must be...He didn’t.

“Nick asked you out didn’t he?”I asked.

“He did,”She squealed into my ear.

“You only know him for a few hours,”Alex said.

“She’s his mate,”I whispered into his ear and it clicked.

“She talks about him none stop,”Kristen said as I found a shirt,”So it’s like I do.”

“So,”I said getting up and going over to my clothes,”He is someone special to me and I care for him.”

“I need help getting ready,”Kristen said looking at me. 

Chapter 8

   Three hours is what it took for her to get ready for a day at the lake with Nick. She is trying to impress him and it must take a lot to do that. She looked at her blue and green miniskirt and white button down shirt that was tucked into the skirt. She had her hair curled and in a ponytail. It was quite nice but she was wearing pink eyeshadow and lipstick. It was a little much for Nick and I only know that because he dumped his date when she came down with makeup on.

“Kristy lose the Makeup,”I said for the fifth time.

“I don’t see why I should,”She countered.

“He likes a girl that’s not afraid to be her natural beauty. I need you to trust me on this one.”

“But it makes the outfit work.”

“He dumped a girl because she wore makeup.”

“Maybe he won’t for me.”

“Please Kristy.”

“Fine I will but only for this one time.”

   I clapped as she went to remove the death to the relationship. I walked out of my room and over to Nick as he asked me to come over when she was almost ready. I didn’t knocked as I saw him in some nice shorts and a button up blue t-shirt. Wow I matched them really good didn’t I. He was trying to tie his tie as it was beating him up. No Ties are something that doesn't go with this date. I walked over to him and removed it. I threw it over to the closet door as it landed on it perfectly. I looked at him and shook my head no.

“She don’t like ties or something?”He asked going to find his shoes.

“You are going to the lake,”I said holding his tennies up,”I don’t see why you need to get all fancy now.”

“I want her to like me,”He said taking the shoes.

“She already does bro.”

“But like like me.”

“She does.”

“What if this is all wrong.”

“Don’t make me lock you two in a closet,”I warned looking at him,”For you know I will do that.”

  He froze as I smiled evilly at him. I had to lock him and his girlfriend in a closet before so they could talk it out. He looked at me as I finished off the outfit with his leather Jacket. I looked on the weather app and saw that it was going to be cold today. I just didn’t tell that to Kristen.

“Remember she is going to be your world one day,”I said as I was giving him the prep talk like old times,”She will be wearing something pretty and most likely not fit for the cold weather. If she gets cold you will…”

“Give her my jacket,”He said.

“Now just know that if everything goes perfectly I get to be at the wedding,”I said as he rolled his eyes at me.

  He looked at himself as I went to go check on Kristen. I walked in to her putting on the on the blue and pink cowboy boots I had out for her. It fit the outfit perfectly as if it was in a fairy tale. She looked at her natural beautiful self as it was like I was watching the first step in motion.

“Alright I want you to remember that he is the best guy ever,”I said turning her around,”He’s the best mannered guy I know of and will be there to help you. I just need you not to let the fire hair to take over.”

“What if it’s not meant to be,”She said sitting on my bed,”I want that perfect fairy tale like you and Alex had but I’m afraid that we won’t be meant for each other.”

“Kristy trust me when I say it is,”I said with a knowing smile,”You will live that fairy tale with Nick. I just need you to be you with him.”

  She nodded as there was a knock on the door. I opened it to see Alex was there. He was holding onto Nick as if he was not suppose to be here. Which he was suppose to have gone home after the whole me getting dragged to my room to help Kristy thing. Kristen was beside me holding up my cowboy hat and boots as she had a knowing smile. They didn’t...Did they.

“I’m going to kill you Nick,”I said as he was laughing now.

“Saddle up little Lacey,”Nick said as I went to put my boots on my feet,”I forgot to tell you this.”

“Makes two of us,”Alex said as he was there in tennis.

“At least now I know why Kristen made me change,”I said putting my hat on.

  She had me in some regular blue jeans and a black and blue cowboy shirt. I was in my full on country wear as some people might say it was. Alex was in jeans and the same shirt as Nick was. They looked like they were suppose to match a little bit. I walked out and took Alex’s arm as Nick and Kristen stared at each other in awe.

“You did that didn’t you?”Alex asked.

“I know my twin don’t I,”I said as we all walked down to Nick’s car.

  He drove a red jeep that stayed muddy. It was washed and you could see the blue, green, and black flames on it for once. The boys opened the doors up and I got into the back as Kisten got in the front. Alex slide beside me as Nick got into the driving seat. My dad was waving at the four of us as my mom was death glaring Alex through me.

“Off to the lake,”Nick said as if knowing something I didn’t,”Or should I say off to Texas.”

“Nick Aron Greengrass what do you mean by that!”I exclaimed at him and looked behind me to see a trailer that was hooked up.

“A month in our home town doesn’t seem that bad,”He laughed with Kristen.

“We had to get away from this so we decide as a date we would ALL go to Dallas, Texas to find the ranch of where you both use to live by,”Kristen said,”It’s going to be our get away.”

“But I’m really busy Kristen,”Alex said as I relaxed a little bit.

“It shouldn’t be that bad,”I said looking at Alex,”We do need a vacation from everything and I bet Nick got that one covered.”

“Luke’s got your back dude,”He said as the interstate came to view.

  I laid back as he put on K104 and the good country music began to play. My friend arrives yesterday than he shipps you and the guy you want to be with plus himself and your other friends to Texas. Yep that sounds like my good friend Nick in a nutshell. Trying to do more than one thing at a time and somehow making them all work out in perfect harmony. How does he do that?

“Also you might get to meet the old crew of hers,”Nick said as Mickey’s and Jordan’s face popped into my head.

“Is Mickey Mouse and Jordan Star still together,”I asked as he laughed.

“Who?”Kristen and Alex asked.

“My gay friends,”I said as Nick nodded his head.

“They ALL have missed little miss Dragon over here,”He said as he looked in the mirror.

  I forgot about ThreeWay Dragon studio. I was the highest belt there and been practicing over video chat to continue up the ranks. I was now a black belt and the head dragon with Nick. I haven’t been practicing but when I first started out I dislocated the teachers windpipe. My mom was so proud of me.

“Miss Dragon?”Alex asked as I looked out the window.

“Try Mix Martial Arts,”I said smiling now that my old home was going to be where we were going,”Where power lies in the heart of gold and not the muscles.”

“What else are you hiding from me?”

“A whole new world.”

  I looked at him as I was becoming tired from the whole thing. I let a yawn escape my mouth as I went to rest my head on the door. Alex grabbed me and let me rest my head on his lap. I smiled as I heard soft snores coming from Kristen. It has been very tiring today.

  Catherine is going to kill me one of these day for all that I put her though. I looked in the mirror to see that she fell asleep in Alex’s lap. He looked so happy seeing her like this and wanted to be with her. But there was something in his eyes holding him back from it though. I looked at Kristen to see that she was asleep as well. I gave a smile as she looked so cute with the natural beauty showing high in the night.

“Dude why are you doing this to yourself?”I asked as he looked at me.

“What do you mean?”He tried to act as if nothing was wrong with him.

“You are easy to read you know. It’s cool how much you and Catherine are so easy to know.”

“You don’t know one thing about me.”

“You lost your mom to her uncle. Then you had to leave and tried to make her forget you but that didn’t work at all now did it. You came back and had a happy reunion but that broke off after your dad passed away from her uncle that tried to get you. You are afraid of her getting hurt but there is another reason as well.”

“I don’t want her to live like this,”He answered honestly this time,”She could get hurt by one of them or worst.”

“Have you seen her take down a grown guy?”

“Does it look like I have?”

“She isn’t someone you take the sun away from. Yes turning her would do that but she would be happy with you. Isn’t that something worth taking a chance on.”

“Would you do that to Kristen?”

“I would if she wanted me to. Maybe you should too.”

Chapter 9

  The first thing I hear when I wake up is Nick yelling at a guy for going to slow. Yep Dallas traffic is the best there is. I sat up to see that Alex was stretched out on the seat with me on top of him. He must have got comfy like that. I was going to go back to the window I was at when I was pulled back down. I looked at him as he was mumbling something to himself.

“Not her,”He said as I listened,”Don’t take My Catherine away. Take me instead.”

  He was having a nightmare about me. I laid my head on his chest as he seemed to have calmed a little bit now. I closed my eyes and heard his heartbeat speed up a little bit by the scare. I tapped Nick’s elbow as he was still driving the car. He knew that meant to stop at a gas station for all of us.

“We talked last night,”He said pulling in to one.

“Really,”I said as I felt the car stop,”About what?”

“I’ll tell you later,”He said as Alex seemed to have woken up.

“Hey sleeping beauty,”I said as he laughed,”Were you having a nightmare about me or something?”

“I guess I was,”He said letting me up,”Where are we?”

“About two miles away from our stop,”Nick said getting Kristen up,”We are making a pit stop then trading out so Catherine can drive some.”

 We got out and got a few refreshment to go with us. I hopped into the driver’s seat as Alex got into the front seat next to me. Nick and Kristen took the back as I pulled out of the station and got on to the road again. I went over to the fast lane and drove from there. I was singing along to the songs as we lost our station of music.

“Nick I need music,”I whinned as he reached forward and plugged in his phone.

“There you go princess,”He joked at me.

  When it began to play Anything But Ordinary by Avril Lavigne was the song that came on. I sanged to the song as they all looked at me. Nick sanged it with me as I saw his house come into view. He told me that we were heading to his house since it was more in the woods and not really in the city part. Mine was about four miles away from his, which was a good thing.

   We all piled out as about six guys and five girls ran up to me. I laughed as I was placed on the shoulders of my two amazingly unique friends’ shoulders. I laughed as they were chanting my name out. It has been forever since I been here.

“Alright put the girl down,”Nick said laughing.

“It has been forever,”Kylee said happily.

“We have missed the Rock Wall,”Joshua said shaking my shoulders.

“We missed her more,”Mickey and Jordan said hugging me.

“I missed you all as well,”I said as arms surround me,”But right now I need air in my lunges.”

  They let me go as we all took the four bags and supplies we brought into the house. I looked at the group as we all took a move. I was being like Crane from Kung fu Panda as we each had a different one. It just turned out of us all laughing our heads off. Alex and Kristen looked at us weirdy as I pulled them both over to the group.

“Gals and guys,”I said as I stared at them,”You have the amazing honor of meeting Kristen and Alex.”

“Why Hello then,”Daylan said.

  The girls of the group are Daylan, Kylee, Marie, Nicole, and Amber. The boys are James, Kane, Mickel, Mickey, Jordan, and Joshua. We were all close and we all were the weirdoes. Daylan and Kane were a thing like Mickey and Jordan. Kane was the brother to both Nicole and Kylee but the cousin to Mickel and Marie. Mickel, Marie, and Amber were family but Amber was adopted. Daylan was Mickey’s sister but she was also the cousin to James. Jordan was just there and we loved him for that.

“Welcome to the big state,”James said,”Now Catherine…” 

Chapter 10

   Why did I allow them to talk me into doing this right now and right here? I looked forward as the store was right in front of me. Why did it have to be me that was chosen to do this? I walked into the store as the group of jerks were in the far corner of the store. Why does it have to be always me? I walked to the clerk as he handed me the things we always get. As I went to walk out, the group blocked my path.

  I looked up at the group of them. The leader was twice my height and was really buff. He had brown hair and deadly brown eyes. To his right was his second in command, Clark. He was the same height as me and looked just like his bigger twin. There was also the Jerk squad of only three people that no one cared about.

“Hello Bufford,”I said looking up and at the tip of my hat.

“Well if it isn’t little Catherine,”He snarled at me,”It’s been a while deary.”

“I’m not your deary,”I hissed at him,”For your information I have a boyfriend and he will kick your butt.”

“Then why are you all alone?”Clark countered.

“For he doesn’t know this part of town like I do boyz,”I countered,”So move out of my way.”

“Or what Girly,”Bufford laughed at me,”You are just a little weak, pathetic girl.”

    He laughed as I took his hand and judo flipped his tail in front of everyone. I ran for it as they all followed behind me. Why me? I tossed the things to James as I ran to the one place I know they got my back. I saw the dojo in front of me as a hand grabbed my waist. They turned me around and had my pinned up against the wall of the building in front of the dojo.

   Bufford had his hip up against mine and had both of his hands on either side of me. No escape for me this time. I looked behind him as Alex was there being hold back by Bufford’s jerk men. I looked at him as he seemed to be fighting to come to my aid. I watched Bufford look at him then back at me.

“Well if it isn’t your boyfriend,”He chuckled as I tried to get him off of me,”Well this should be entertaining.”

  He went to kiss me as I heard a growl come up from Alex’s throat. It caught Bufford’s ears as he turned to look at Alex. I tried again to get him off of me but he faced me and roughly kissed me. My group walked up and seemed frozen in their spot.

  James went to run over to help me but one of the others grabbed a hold of him. Nick was nowhere to be found as Bufford stopped the kiss. I looked up at him as his hand went up my shirt and felt the bare skin. His hand was as cold as ice as it traced over Alex’s name that was scared into my skin.

“What’s this?”He said lifting it up,”Did you get a tattoo while you were away?”

“No,”I cried as Alex was trying so hard to get to me.

“Then who gave you this?”He said trying to seduce me.

  I looked up as he roughly kissed me again and I heard Alex get more vicious by the minute. I looked to the side as Nick and the Dragons showed up. I was still beating on his chest as Nick ran to him. He had no one to stop him and to my relief that was a good thing. He ripped Bufford off me and held me in his arms. I cried as Alex broke free and came over to take me from Nick.

“You’re alright now,”Alex and Nick said at the same time.

“Dragons attack,”Nick yelled at the kids as Bufford laughed at them.

“You think kids can stop me,”He joked.

   The twenty kids from ages of six to twelve went after him. They took turns kicking and just beating the snot out of him and his gang. I stood up as my group ran to me as they surrounded me like they were ready to kick his tail now.

  The kids ran in front of me as I took a few steps forward and held my hand up for them to stop. You always obey your head dragons. I looked at Bufford as he was shaking his head no at me. I grinned evilly as the master walked out and over to me. I had an open hand as they were backing up and closed it as the kids ran after them.

“Dragons come back,”Master said after they were gone.

“Why do people like trying to make out with me,”I said rubbing his lips off of mine.

“For you are one of a kind,”Alex said,”But you are only mine.”

“How did his name get there anyway?”James asked.

“I was almost rapped and the guy had a knife and put the name there,”I said taking out a soda,”Plus I hate making the runs like that.”

  We all laughed and went back to the house. Alex had his arm around me as if afraid that someone was going to hurt me again. I leaned my head on his shoulder as I really didn’t want to walk now. I looked at him as he nodded his head at me. I smiled and jumped on his back.

  Nick had his hand on my back as I laid my head on Alex’s shoulder blade. I exhaled as he walked and everyone was talking. I closed my eyes as the memory of when I first met Nick showed itself to me.

  It was raining and waking into the preschool building was the hardest thing to do. I looked around to find an empty seat where no one would bug me. I saw one in the corner with a girl that looked upset. So I walked over to her but was stop by Bufford. He was still taller than me but I wasn’t scared of him.

“Hello Bufford,”I said with a smile.

“Well if it isn’t Catherine the lame,”He said picking me up by my collar,”All alone.”

   He pushed me against the wall and went to throw a punch at me. I closed my eyes as I heard it hit someone else. I looked up to see a boy in front of me with the black eye. He had Bufford on the ground and I turned him around. I looked at the boy as he dragged me over to the corner I was going to.

“Are you alright?”He asked me.

“Am I alright are you?”I asked looking at him.

“Yeah I’m Nick Greengrass,”He said holding out his hand,”And you are the most beautiful thing I ever saw.”

“Catherine Clark,”I said shaking his hand.

   I came back to earth as I was now laughing at the memory. Nick gave me a weird look as Alex sat me on the ground again. I turned to him as I was smiling most likely like a mad man. He gave me a confused look as I kept up with my smile.

“Yeah I’m Nick Greengrass,”I said mocking him,”And you are the most beautiful thing I ever saw.”

“Catherine Clark,”He said mocking me with a laugh.

“What just happen?”Kristen asked.

“That’s how the twinship started,”James said,”With him saving her from a punch by Bufford.”

  I laughed as Nick seemed to have blushed at that part. I was told by him that he liked me. But that was the past.

Chapter 11

  I was laid across Alex as the two of us shared a room together. He was on his phone checking up on the pack while I was on the phone with Josh. I forgot to tell him about me hanging out with Nick and Kristen now.

“Look Josh I know I told you that we could today but I’m busy and not even in town,”I said for the tenth time.

“Then who are you with anyway?”He asked.

“An old friends that is like my twin,”I said as I heard Alex on his phone.

“Where are you?”

“Texas.”

“Why are you there of all the places you could be at?”

“Let’s just say that I was kidnap then persuaded to go.”

“Who all is there?”

“Nick, Kristen, and…”

“And Who Cathy?”

“Alex.”

“Why is he there with you Catherine. He’s the guy that left you. HE is the guy you need to be fighting.”

“No he’s not Josh.”

“Yes he is Catherine. I thought you got that into your big fat stubborn head of yours. You have to destroy Wolves like him.”

“You been using me,”I cried knowing the truth now.

“No Catherine it’s not like that. I…”

   I hanged up the phone as I felt my heart break again. I told him everything and tried to find shelter in him. All he did though was get me to hate werewolves. Why would he do that to me? I cried as I heard Alex hang up on Jacky.

“You alright?”He asked moving me to his lap.

“No,”I answered crying into his chest,”How could he have done that to me.”

“For he doesn’t love you like your dad does,”He said into my hair,”He wanted you to hate me so he could get rid of us. He wanted to have you on their side as a team player instead of against them.”

   I let all the sadness I had right then and there out as Alex told me comforting thing. He was my rock after all of this and still cares greatly for me. The pain in my chest wasn’t there when he was with me. It was pleasant to be with him. He held me like I was the only thing that meant the world to him.

“Alex why are you against it?”I asked still upset.

“I don’t want you to hurt like I have in the past,”He said looking at me,”I don’t want you to fight to survive in the world. You have everything in the world at your fingertips but if I do then that would go away. If I do then you would have to fight against everything that I had ever faced. I don’t want to put you through all of that Catherine.”

“But I would have you and the pack,”I said as he held me close,”I would be by your side through it all Alex. I wouldn’t be alone like how Nick is right now. You would be there with me.”

   He sighed as I closed my eyes to him rocking me. After all of this time he was still there. It was nice to see that he still cared for me. He could have moved away from me again but he stayed near me. It was like he was still thinking about the pros and cons about it.

   You idiot he’s only doing this to show you that you can be strong without him. But then again it shows that he still cares for you and wants you. No it means he has pity for you and wants you to grow up. That’s all wrong for he is here right now taking care of you. But…

“Do you hear voices in your head going back and forth all the time?”I asked knowing they get on my nerves.

“I thought that was only me that had them,”He laughed as he laid us both down,”I’m glad I wasn’t the only one going crazy.”

“They don’t know when to stop,”I said with a yawn,”I guess I should go to bed.”

“See you in the morning,”He said kissing the top of my head.

   I smiled at him as I closed my eyes and went into the world were the good dreams were. I although took the wrong turn and slipped into a nightmare. I was running around and Alex was…

 

~~~Alex~~~

 

  She looked so peaceful while she sleeps. I got up to turn the lights out as she had that cute little smile on her face. I heard stirring as I reached the switch. It sounded like she was having a panic attack by the way she was acting. She was thrashing all around and the only thing I could do was call for Nick and run to her side.

“Catherine it’s a dream,”I said holding her head in my lap,”Just wake up baby girl. Your fine and safe.”

“Alex behind you,”She cried as it must have to be about me,”Josh don’t.”

 “Catherine Josh’s not here,”I said as Nick ran in,”And I’m right here beside you. I’m not leaving your side.”

“What’s going on?”Kristen asked looking at her.

“We need to get her to the couch,”Nick said picking her up,”Alex I want you to stay by her side. Kristen I need you to go into the bathroom and find three towels. Wet one of them and bring them back here. I’ll be right back.”

“What’s happening to her?”I asked as he placed her on the couch.

“Let’s just say the nightmare monster is here,”Was all he gave me before running off.

  I took her hand as I heard water running and the sound of cabinets being opened and closed. Catherine was still thrashing around as she repeated my name over and over. It was like she was being tortured by something in her dream. I took a deep breath as they ran back in.

   Nick had rubbing alcohol, pain killers, and a bowl of something with him. He placed it on the ground as Catherine began to scream her head off. He put his hand over her mouth and she bite him. He grabbed mine and placed it over it. I watched her as she was still screaming her head off but you could barely hear it now.

“What’s the Nightmare Monster?”I asked as he went to work on the thing.

“When we were little the both of us would have these dream that seemed real,”He said putting the wet towel on her frame,”They were your worst nightmare put into one dream that was sent there to hunt you. Every so often when she stayed here we would have them.”

“The twin thing started like that,”Kristen said as he nodded.

“I was always alone but the neighbor heard the two of us one night and came to our aid. She made this mixture and it helped the two of us to wake up. She taught it to us and I never thought we would have to use it again till now.”

  He finished the thing and put a towel into it. He told me to remove my hand and popped the painkillers into her mouth. She shut up and seemed to have been in pain by it. He put the mixed towel on her face as she was still thrashing. He counted to six before removing it and looking at the calm face. We all waited as her eyes shot open and she gasped for air.

“Catherine you’re alright,”I said as she sat up.

“The Nightmare monster,”Was all she said.

  She was shivering from the whole thing and she looked up at Nick. He gave her the other towel and wrapped her in it. She seemed to have calmed down more now. I looked at Nick as he took a seat next to her.

“Well I know not to go to sleep now,”He said as she chuckled,”Let me call Mrs. Singley to see if she’ll come over here and watch us for signs of Nightmare Monster.”

“Attack one had happen,”She said looking at me.

   She threw herself into my arms as she was still terrified by it. I caught her as Nick went outside and next door. I could feel how scared she was by just holding her there. I took a deep breath out as her body seemed to be trembling still.

“Can you explain what the monster is?”I asked as she sat up.

“He is what strikes fear into the sweetest kids,”She said as if in a trance,”He is the guy that even Josh is scared of and will not mess with. The Nightmare Monster takes you away from what is good a keeps you in his prison till someone comes to save you. As you get older more powerful the dreams are. They controls your body and the only way to escape it is to have someone there. He is what scares the innocent into being the opposite sometimes.”

   I looked on the wall and saw a picture that was drawn by two young kids. It was label the Nightmare monster and it had a terrified element to it. He had legs of a spider and the body of a bear. But the two pictures were different from each other. One had the head as a dragon/snake thing while the other was of what looked like a mixture of a snake, lion, and a rabid dog thing. You could tell who drew which one. Catherine had the one with the three way looking head and Nick’s was the other one.

“Is the place haunted or something,”I asked as an old lady and Nick walked back in.

“The Nightmare monster is not a ghost,”The old lady said,”He is a being that is much like a wolf. He is powerful and have chosen these three kids as his targets.”

“Who are they?”Kristen asked.

“Me,”Nick said.

“Me,”Catherine said,”And Josh.”

“Now go to bed right here so I can watch after these two and you two want be bothered by it,”The women said as Nick and Catherine laid down by each other as if in fear. 

Chapter 12

I woke up to my head getting rubbed by a piece of a towel. I hate it when the Nightmare monster comes out. It was a thing my mom uses to tell me about to keep me from misbehaving but it soon was a real thing for me, Josh, and Nick. It also only seemed to attack me and Nick when we were at his house or Josh’s.

I saw Alex had his head on my stomach and was peacefully sleeping. I smiled as Mrs. Singley left the house to go back to her home. Nick was in the kitchen making breakfast it smelt like. I was playing in Alex’s hair when Nick walked in and over to where I was at. He lifted Alex’s head to a pillow and we headed to the kitchen. It felt like old times when the night before you are scared half to death then you wake up that morning and have your best friend cook for you.

“That was a bad one,”I said as images of Josh killing Alex over and over played on repeat.

“You're telling me,”He said as we laughed quietly,”Try seeing you like that made me want to freak out and not go to sleep that whole night.”

“Hey we are the twins aren’t we,”I said as I heard footsteps walk in.

I turned to see a tired looking Alex. He seemed to have been in a trance like thing that made him seem like a zombie at first. I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his torso. He hugged me as I swayed a little bit. It was a peaceful morning for us since my mom wasn’t here to see what had happen.

“How did that start?”He asked as we sat down to enjoy our meal.

“My mom use to tell me that if I wouldn’t behave then the Nightmare Monster would get me,”I said looking at the drawing we had did,”She said that he was the one thing all good kids would fear and he would feast on them if they were bad.”

“One night we were up later than we were suppose to be here,”Nick said to finish the story,”She told me about the Monster but I really didn’t care. Well when we went to bed that night all you could hear for miles were our screams. Mrs. Singley had to run in and save us before it was too late.”

“What happened if it’s too late?”Alex asked.

“You are scared to death,”Was the only way I could answer that.

“Wow,”was all he said as I looked at him.

“But when I moved away it went away,”I said happily,”The monster stopped following us around and stayed here. Josh moved to Louisiana and it stopped. It is only at the old places it happens.”

“And when she is here with us,”Nick said,”Didn’t that work the same way for Josh? When you were over he attacked.”

“It was also you too,”I said as we laughed,”But he doesn’t really bother us any more.”

“Except for last night,”Alex finished up,”I’m afraid to ask but what’s today.”

We both looked at Nick as he seemed to smile bigger than when we came. He laughed as I looked around at the table. He didn’t plan out a whole month full of things we liked did he.

“How about a little game,”He said holding up the soccer ball.

“The school against us,”I said as he nodded.

“Plus I think your cousin Max is going to be here,”Nick said as my eyes lite up more,”I was told he wanted a rematch since your team beat his sorry little tail in a game and he had to wear a stupid outfit you picked out.”

I smiled and jumped for joy as Kristen walked in looking at me. She has serious bed head when she doesn’t have time to get ready. She looked at us as she was wondering what was going on.

“We get to beat Max again,”I cheered as she nodded,”And you have bed headed.”

Her eyes went wide as she ran back up to the rooms. I laughed as Alex took me up to our room. I found my old jersey with pawprint on it. Nick had got it for me. We called ourselves the raging wolves. I found some gym shorts with pockets and went to change. I took a shower knowing I smell like alcohol rub.

I rinsed off my body and stepped out as Alex was getting in. I didn’t pay attention as neither did he. I changed quickly and waited in our room for him to come back out. He did and seemed to have notice what had happen.

“I didn’t see anything,”We both said and then laughed.

“Well then that was weird,”I said as we both headed back down.

“No words to anyone about it,”He said as we both agreed on it.

We went down and joined them at the door. We all were wearing some type of jersey. Me and Nick though were matching to a tee. We laughed and got into the Jeep. I stood up as the wind blew by. I laughed as Alex joined me in his school jersey.

I watched as the crew came to follow us there. We all had the same jerseys but mine and Nick’s were green and blue while theirs were black and either blue or green. I watched as the field came into my sight with my cousin standing there with Josh by his side.

Nick pulled up to the side with everyone at the same time. I backflipped off the back as all of the other people cheered for me. I held my hand out as Nick gave me my hat. I placed it on my head and we walked up in a line.

“All of you against us,”Max said looking at me.

“And let’s make it interesting shall we,”I said looking at Josh,”What you want if you win?”

“You,”Josh said as everyone looked shocked by it,”The way it was before Nick here came and Kristy talked you into snapping back to fantasy world.”

“Okay and if we win,”I said looking at Alex,”You pay for the damages you and your family did. You will give that much back to Alex’s family and Josh you will have to spend a night with me AND Nick as the Nightmare Monster attacks.”

His eyes went wide as I said that name. Nick took my back as we knew not to sleep while he was there. It was worst on us when the three of us were together under one roof. Max shaked on it as Josh looked like he was about to pass out from it.

We all took our spots as it was Nick, Alex, Kirsty, me, and plus some on the field. I looked over to see my dad and mom over in the crowd. I looked straight ahead as I saw Max looking at me. He wants me out of this. I looked back at Nick and gave a nod. He looked ahead of me and returned it back to me.

When the ball went up I jumped up with Max to start the game. I backflipped it hitting it straight to Nick and Alex. They both acted out and took hold of it. I landed on my feet and ran to Nick’s left as Alex was on his right. We all gave one look as Kristy joined us behind Nick.

We all kicked it to each other in the most confusing way possible. I watched as Max went to Alex’s side. I fell back as Kristy took my side. I ran over to the other side of Alex. As Max went to take Alex out he got me instead.

I fell to the ground holding my leg as Alex made to first goal. My dad ran out to the field as I laid there. I removed my hands as blood was running down my leg now. I looked at his shoes to see the metal spikes in them. I also saw that it was a single silver spike in it.

“Catherine,”Dad said kneeling by me,”Are you alright?”

“What do you think daddy,”I said as he laughed,”But Max was going to get rid of Alex.”

“What do you mean?”He asked picking me up.

“Max is wearing a single silver spike in his shoes,”I pointed out,”I need you to bandage me up so I can take him out of the game.”

He nodded and about halfway into the game I was back in it. I ran by Nick as I saw Max going to the right with the ball. I slide under him was my arms ran over his lace and undid them. Nick went around as metal and the string got tangled up. I smiled evilly as I shot it into my favorite corner. I turned around and went by Max. I stuck my tongue out at him as we were winning this now.

“Come on Max,”Josh yelled at his brother,”I don’t want to spend a night in the same house as her and Nick.”

“You try being out here with them,”Max yelled back as his shoes were tangled with each other,”It’s not as easy as it seems.”

He took one step and face planted the ground. He looked up with mud all over his face. Everyone laughed as he glared at me. Hey you wanted to play dirty then let's play dirty. I called a huddle and we all came up together.

“Leave me Max,”I said as they looked at me,”He isn’t playing fair so now he has me.”

“We can win this without doing something big,”Kristy said looking at me.

“Not if your Max,”I said looking at them,”Just get the ball to Al-Ni-Kr and we got this.”

They nodded as that was like saying Alex, Nick, and Kristy at once but without anyone knowing. I ran by them as I saw Max looking at me. As he ran to steal the ball I ran in front of him. My mom made it a rule not to hurt family in anything we do. He tried to get around me but I wasn’t budging to his little games. I watched the time tick down as I watched it play out in my head.

Nick had the ball as we all raced to get it to the goal. One more point to make sure we win this. Max went to get through me but I braced myself for what he was up to. I closed my eyes as my body was pushed to the ground and I heard the sound of us winning I hope.

I felt my head hit something as I felt the world spin around me. But I never hit the ground. I looked up to see that both Nick and Alex had me in there arms. I smiled happily as they held me up. I smiled as we all rejoiced about this. I looked at Josh as he was cursing about it now. 

Chapter 13

I smiled as Josh looked around the house. We all sat up something to keep him away from us when it starts on him. We also made up something to keep me and Nick from falling into the hands of him. I watched Josh as he looked at me. Alex was in our room and I would be heading up there when Josh is asleep and in the good caring hands of the neighbor.

“You really don’t want to do this to me,”Josh said as I sat on the steps.

“Yes I do,”I said as he looked at me,”You hurt me worst than Alex ever did. I needed someone who knew about wolves to be there. I went to you for it. And what did you do to me. You tried to change me into you and my mother.”

“That’s not really that bad,”He said as I looked at him.

“Yes it is for then I wouldn’t have allowed anyone near me,”I said looking at the door,”I would have made people think they were less than I was. I am not that kind of person and this is your punishment.”

“Yeah this and paying that stupid pack for everything that had happen,”He said leaning on the back of the couch,”Look just let this go and we’ll call it even.”

“NO!”I yelled at him as he jumped,”This will never be even! You see for as long as Alex and them are my friends and are a part of me I will never let you get them! You just don’t understand this at all! I care for them and will never allow you to hurt them like that. So just drop that about us being even.”

He looked at the door as I saw Nick and Mrs. Singley walked in the house. She smiled at us as me and him went up to our rooms. Kristen smiled as he walked into their room and I went into mine. Alex held me close as I heard Josh scream for dear life.

“He really is scared of it,”Alex said as he looked me in my eyes,”Why aren’t you?”

“For I learned that I have friends that will take care of me,”I said hugging his torso,”For I have people like you in my life.”

“You want to try and sleep or you want to stay up?”He asked holding me out.

I looked at the time as it was about ten already. The monster’s hours were from ten to three. I looked at Alex and held onto him. He laughed and sat us on the bed. I stayed close to him as he rocked the two of us back and forth. He rubbed my back as I smiled at the moment.

“Let’s go outside,”I said as Josh screamed again.

“Yeah let’s go,”He said as we went out the window.

We both climbed up the tree and onto the roof of the house. I looked out at the city as the lights shined bright tonight. I smiled as Alex wrapped us both into a blanket. I smiled at him as I leaned on him. I heard the music in Nick’s room as we sat there with the other’s embrace. I closed my eyes for a split second and soon the darkness took me.

That morning I woke up on the roof with Alex beside me still. He was laid down with me still in his arms like how we fell asleep I guess. The monster didn’t attack me last night. No matter if I was outside and they were inside it never failed to get us. I looked at Alex as he must have been why didn’t affect me.

I woke him up and we went down as my mom came to get Josh from the house. I ran down stairs to see a white Josh there. Nick looked at me as we both were fine from it. Josh looked at me as I smirked at him. He ran out to my mom and almost cried in her arms.

“How are you two?”She asked as me and Nick were trying not to laugh.

“Nothing happened to me,”I said happily.

“Me either,”He said as we looked at each other.

“Do you think we finally broke free from him,”I said as Nick looked at me

We both laughed as he spins me around. We smiled as that was the best news to know when you are us. He placed me back down as Alex walked down the stairs. I ran to him as he caught me easily. He looked at me as I told him the good news. He smiled as we hugged each other. It was probably the best thing we could have done in that one moment.

My mom left us as Nick went to wake up Kristen. That left me and Alex there alone for a little bit. He looked into my eyes and smiled at me. I had to show him it would be for the best but I guess every time I get close to it, I do the opposite of that. I smiled as we stood there staring at each other with big eyes.

“I love you,”I said kissing him and he kissed me back. 

Chapter 14

 The month flew back in a matter of what felt like seconds. We came back and me and Alex parted ways like nothing had happen in that moment. I sat in my room looking at the window as I heard Jacob call me down. I had went back into my little ball but this time I only let in Nick and Kristen.

I walked down the stairs as I saw Nick and the pack. I looked at Alex as he looked at me with amusement. Nick smiled at me as he went away from the scene. My dad was in the kitchen but you could still hear the rustle of his paper back book. I stopped right in front of Alex as he looked at me with a faint smile on his face.

“That will be all Jacob,”I said nicely.

“If you need anything just call,”He said walking away.

I watched him disappear around the corner. I looked at everyone as some had smiles and others were keeping watch for some reason. I looked at Alex as he looked at me with what looked like defeat or something.

“I put some thought into it all,”He said looking at me,”But how bad do you want this?”

“I want it more than life itself,”I said as K.C. awed at it,”I want to be with you for the rest of my life.”

“But that doesn’t mean I would have to turn you,”He countered me.

“But turning me would prevent me from getting badly hurt by other wolves,”I said with big hopeful eyes now,”I wouldn’t have to worry about many things that I would like this. I would be able to be with you without thinking something terrible will come up.”

“So if I put in my part of the deal will you say yes,”He said looking at me.

“Depends on what it was,”I said as he looked at me with a smile.

“You’ll have to marry me,”He said into my ear.

“Well of course I would say yes,”I said as he smiled.

“Then we have ourselves a deal,”He said taking my arm,”You want it on the same side don’t you.”

“What do you think,”I said as he nodded.

He bite me there as the world began to spin around me. I fell down but I never hit the floor. I closed my eyes and woke up near the ground. I stood up but I was on four white paws. I looked ahead of me to see Alex’s wolf in front of me.

“This is the mind link,”He said getting closer to me,”It is how we talk to one another when we are like this.”

“How do we turn back?”I asked as he nudged my head.

“Just think about it,”He said showing me.

I did like he said as I turned back human as my dad walked in. He smiled at me as I smiled back. I wrapped my arms around Alex’s neck as I smiled. He made me let go as he put the ring on my finger. I looked at the simple ring as my dad walked over to us. He smiled at the scene as I knew mom would have hated this moment.

“Take care of her,”Dad said to Alex.

“I will sir,”Alex said as my dad looked at me.

“I will always love you baby girl,”Dad said holding me one last time.

“I will always love you daddy,”I said holding him as well.

After that we all took off into the forest. I ran by Alex as he was showing me the paths they run on a natural bases. I smiled as my white fur shined in the afternoon sun light. I looked at Alex as he was truly the alpha of the pack.

“Catherine will you be my Luna?”He asked in front of me.

“Of course I will be,”I said happily.

We both ran to the house as the rest of the pack was there waiting for us. They smiled as we walked up hand in hand. K.C. walked up to me and hugged me tightly. I smiled as Kate and Layne ran up as well happily. They both held me as I laughed at them. Alex wrapped his hand around my waist as he lead me to his room again.

“You’ll be staying in here with me,”He said as I looked at him with a smile.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way,”I said kissing him.

It was soft but turned into a hunger kiss. Like ones that turned into something more. But it also wasn’t that kind either. It was the want of each other now. We stood in that one moment having our make out sessions as they knocked on the door for us. He locked it as we didn’t break it.

When we did it was for air. We rest our foreheads on each other. He looked into my eyes as I smiled widely at him. I didn’t care what the world thought of a wolf for I knew that they were some of the best things to have by your side. He made me look up at him as he kissed my nose.

I wrinkled it up as he smiled at it. We stayed like that for a few moments till he looked at me. He smiled as he lead me to his desk. There were stuff on everyone in the pack there.

“We have a busy life you know,”He said sitting down with me in his lap,”Like making sure no one gets in danger or worst.”

“Then let’s get to work,”I said picking up the first paper as he laughed at me.

~~~Her Mother~~~

 

I looked at the picture of my Catherine. I can’t believe someone took her from me. I looked at the picture of her and that Alex kid. He must have lead her to do this to herself. I looked at Nick as he was in the living room with Charles talking about a wedding that was being planned.

“Mary why don’t you come to it?”He said as if it was something new,”It would make her feel better.”

“I’m sorry that I don’t feel anything for this since my daughter disappeared,”I snapped at him,”Those wolves have finally done it. I leave for a week and come back to find out my baby was been gone for about five days.”

“It would really make her…”He tried again.

“No Charles I don’t care for that girl’s wedding,”I said going to find my nephew.

I walked to their house to see that he was getting ready for something. I looked at my brother as he still looked bad from them attacking him. I looked at them as they knew about my baby disappearing it.

“Let’s get rid of them for Catherine,”I said as they all agreed.
