Prologue
Freshman year
Jasmine Anne Thorne trudged down the busy hallway. It was filled with students bustling wth activity; posting banners of different clubs on the wall. She ignore the positive school spirit, she was getting irritated by it- by their smile. She envy them on how easy they can smile and for such a small reason. She sighed before stopping in front of her locker. Opening the metal door, she reached blindly for 'the book' where she stash her money.
Opening the book to Apocalyse, she snatched thirty dollars from the first page and slammed it shut. Her hands shake from the anticipation growing in her chest. She needed it. She needs it now. Tossing the book inside, she slammed the metal door close. There was a 'thump' but she didn't bother to look back. If she did, she could've seen her brother picking the book where she keep her money and a dark secret.
Students stared at her with their eyes filled with curiousity. What does a girl like her does with the money? She's the new girl after all. She rolled her eyes and sauntered outside towards the bleachers.
Fight, Fight Red and White
Clap, Clap
Fight, Fight Red and White
Clap, Clap
Fight, Fight Red and White
Clap, Clap
She tuned out the the chants of the cheerios coming from the field. Focusing her eyes on the bleachers, Audrina's eyes lit up upon seeing the man under the bleachers. She jogged towards him and stop in a halt when he gave her a look of disaproval.
Slowly, she walked towards him. He was smiling maliciously at her, giving chills to her spine. Holding out his hand, she gave him the money but not before looking to her surroundings. Gavin was a twenty three year old man, his looks scream trouble with his red streak hair, and different parts of his body were pierced. She wonder how he gets away from this business.
The transaction was done in a haste, as usual. She gave him thirty and he gave her the 3 grams of what she really needed right now.
She felt the tug in her chest again. She can feel the connection grew stronger and her wolf senses coming back. Her eyes twitch, her hands was shaking, and she was sweating. She hold the pack tighter inside her jacket's pocket.
It's been four months since 'he' rejected her and it's been months since that tugging on her chest appeared. Sometimes she would get flash of images and the obscenity of it left her in tears. Her mate with another woman, that stupid goody goody Marielle!
Three months she was even more getting addicted to alcohol. It made her forget Oh! And the one night stands. Two months was the drugs. It made the connection falter, freeing her from the hurt that was inflicted by her so-called-mate.
She can feel it. Any minute now, flashes of an image will appear and she knew just how to stop it. Entering the abandoned bathroom at the back of the school, she opened the pack and the rest of the stuff she needed.
She was now alone and free from the hurt that her mate inflicted upon her.

Lexus Trey Thorne picked up the book from the floor in front of her sisters locker. Her locker wasn't shut properly, a book was in the way, preventing the locker from closing. His eyebrow creased suspiciously.
He inspected it before putting it back. It was black and in front was the title; A gold lettering was embossed 'The Bible', it said. The gold lettering was almost faded. He almost laugh, why would a Bible be in his sister's locker? They weren't active in activities that involve 'Him' and he was damn sure that her is, too.
He was already putting it back when a voice in the back of his head urge him to inspect it more closely.
Open it, it said. It was his wolf.
Without a second thought he opened it and being shocked was an understatement.
It left him wide-eyed, jaw clench, fist clench on his side, confused, and most importantly the need to stop it and protect her baby sister.
Sex, Drugs, and Mates
"Hey, Jasmine! You coming later?" Someone shouted. Jasmine winced as she recognized the voice; Eli. He's one of 'that' crowd and she was sure as hell wouldn't talk to him in public, seeing that her brother was watching her a few centimeters away.
She glared at him pointedly and he just shrugged and rolled his eyes. If looks could kill, he would definitely be six feet under right now.
A clearing of throat made her broke the glare she was bestowing upon Eli. It was her brother. She didn't realized he met her halfway.
"I didn't know you knew Eli," he said casually but there was an an edge to it. Knowing her brother, he was pretty confused and if she didn't answer it'll be straight from downright mad.
She shifted uncomfortably. "He's just a friend of someone I know," she stammered. Wriggling her nose.
He stared at her skeptically. "Oka-ay," he drawled lowly as he slowly turn to walk back towards his car.
She felt bad about lying to his brother but this matter she was involved in wasn't the usual thing you confessed to brothers and she wouldn't dare pull him into this mess. She couldn't tell him that her mate -and an alpha for that matter- rejected her for another she-wolf.
She just couldn't.
"Hey, are you coming?" Her brother shouted, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Uhh, yeah," she replied, distractedly. She jogged towards the car and flung her bag at the back seat.
The whole ride was silent and a few conversation had happen and the Eli thing had not been brought up again, to her relief.
"So, are you going to that Eli's house?" Lex asked as sonn as ther stepped in their aunt's house.
"What?" She said. "I already told you he's just a friend of someone I know," she insisted, heading straight to the kitchen to get some juice.
"Okay," he shrugged.
Knowing her brother, he won't give up soon and he will just keep on prodding her constantly.
After she drank the juice she decided to work on her homework in her room. Upon stepping inside, she sighed. This room is her sanctuary. Where she can brought her feelings and no one one can know. This has been her place where she constantly weep at night when remembering Him.
But not tonight, she thought maliciously.
Only a couple of hours and she would feel that irritating tug again.
She shrugged off her homework and called Eli instead.
"Hey, baby doll!" He picked up after three rings.
"Don't call me that, asshole!" She hissed, pacing in front of her bed.
"Sorry, 'Jasmine'," he mocked. She can barely hear him as the music in the background was deafening and she could tell that talking to him longer was no use.
She took a big gulp of air. "Listen. I'll go there when my brother's knocked out, okay?" She said.
"Sure!"
She ended the call before he say something.
**
By one a.m, she was high and everything was swirling. Her clothes lay across the room and she couldn't stop giggling as Eli cupped her breast.
"You feel so good, baby," he moaned. His lips was pressed on her neck. His other hand was gently massaging her thigh.
"Yeah, you, too," she said, breathless from the pleasures she was feeling.
His hand left her thigh and roughly tugged her panties. She lift her butt to take it off. His hands came back and found her aching core. She couldn't help but moan as he slipped a finger inside of her.
"Oh, fuck." She moaned.
"Does this feel good?" He asked, slowly pulling out his fingers and roughly pushing it back in.
She moaned and nodded her head.
"I can't hear you," he whispered.
"Yes!" She whimpered as he did it again. Pulling it out gently and pushing it in roughly. "Oh, fuck!"
"You want me?"
"Yes, I want you. Please fuck me!" She begged. She needed this, she reminded herself.
Without waiting any longer, he slipped off his boxers and positioned his self on top of her. His mouth found her breast as his hand tweaked her other breast's nipple.
without a warning he slipped his throbbing manhood inside of her.
She moaned and writhe in pleasure underneath him. "Oh, shit. That feels so good. Don't stop!"
He continue to pump inside of her and she found herself lifting her butt to meet his thrust.
"Ohh! Harder!" She wrapped her legs around his waist. "Faster! Oh! Don't stop! That feels so good!"
The room was filled with their moans.
For the first time today. She was free, she couldn't see her brother's suspicious stare. She couldn't remember her father's hatred for her and lastly.
She could not remember having a mate and the feelings when he rejected her.
Yes, Jasmine Thorne was rejected and none other than her mate; an Alpha.

HANGOVER
Despite the raging head ache, Jasmine focused her eyes on the numerous equation in front of her. Damn mathematical problems!
she thought vehemently. She was still hung over and still a bit high. She can't bitch about it though. Especially her actions this morning, it added
Escaping from her brother was a very hard task that morning. She sneaked in at around 4 in the morning and spend the rest of the time sleeping until it was time to get up.
Seeing her reflection in the bathroom's mirror made her cringe. She looked like Lady Gaga with her swollen red glassy eyes, her hair was a complete mess- like a birds nest. What she felt was even worse than what she looked like.
Her head throb painfully, her tongue was glued to her mouth, it was disgusting every time she tried to swallow, and squinting her eyes was the only thing she could do. She stood there in front of the mirror with a blank look on he face.
The things that she forgot last night hit her like a rocket bomb now. She couldn't bear to look at her face as she remembered why, what, and who she was escaping from.
"Jaz! What the heck?! We're going to be late!" She heard her brother screaming at the other side of the door then there was a thump followed by an oomp then some paper scruffling.
Despite of what she was feeling she managed to smile. She was grateful her brother was here and even though he didn't know it, he was helping her.
"I'm coming!" She replied. Her voice was hoarse. Shaking her head, she did what she had to do. She settled with a t-shirt topped with a hoodie and a jeans that hugged her long legs.
As soon as they arrived at school, she bolted like a mad man being chased by the devil. His brother frowned- he's doing it a lot lately don't you think?
"Time's up! Pass your papers," Ms. Mayette broke the silence as the student started to rise from their chairs and grab their bags, handing the paper on their way out.
"And remember! Any of you gets an F on this test . . . It will be my life's mission to make sure that you will stay right on the straight path towards success and learning!" Ms. May said dramatically. From the looks of it she was saying it to the whole class in general but based on the pointed look she was giving Jasmine she knows she was the one she was talking to.
She rolled her eyes. It was as if she cared. Huffing, she stood and grab her bag. She hand the paper to the teacher.
"Remember what I said, Thorne," she spoke softly.
She nodded. "Sure, okay," she said just to get the teacher off her back.
"I'm not kidding when I said that. Another F and you'll fail this year's math."
She did not reply. She turn her back and made her way towards the cafeteria. As she sat on the table she popped one Advil in her mouth and swallow it straight up.
She held her head in her hands and massaged her temple in a circular motion.
"Hey, babe." An arm draped around her as she felt a breath on her ear. "So, last night was great and I was just wondering if you would like to go to tonight's party? Same time, same place?"
She internally groaned. It was fucking Elijah Carter! "Fuck you, Carter. I told you not to call me babe!" She mumbled. "And get your fucking hands off me." She shrugged his hands off.
Eli shrugged and moved his hand under the table, down to her thighs and travel upwards.
"I'm gonna kill you if you don-" the threat hanged in the air when she saw her brother entering the cafeteria. "Get away from me! Quick!" She shushed him when he started to protest. She shoved him away and he just laugh and walk away.
"Hey, is that Eli?" Was the first thing that came out from Lexus.
She shifted uncomfortably. "Uhh, yeah," she admitted sheepishly. "He was just asking why I didn't go to the party last night."
"Oh." He nodded thoughtfully. "So! . . ." Lexus exclaimed after a moment of silence. "I got in the football team," he said, trying to make a conversation.
"Really?" She asked, and genuinely smiled. He nodded. She was really happy for her brother. At least he was living a good life and she prayed that his mate won't turn out to be a bitch or something.
At least one of them is happy.
A loud popped rang throughtout the room.
She winced.
Fucking hangover.
