Chapter 1: My Love

Chapter 2: Speaking the Truth

Here it is, Friday, the end of the week, when I decided that Alliah and I would tell my parents, and everybody else about us. I was awake before my alarm went off, just laying in bed thinking about how everybody would react. After my alarm went off, I jumped up, running to my closet. I grabbed a dark purple dress that comes just barely above my knees, and is tight in all the right places. I go to my bathroom, hang the dress on the back of the door, jump in the shower, and rush through it, just wanting to get to school and see Alliah. I grab my purple sparkly platform heels. I grab my purse, and practically run out of the house, not wanting to see my parents right away. I dig my keys out of my purse, and jump into my car racing over to Alliah's house.
When I get to Alliah's house, I walk in the door, and see her mom in the kitchen. I walk in and lean on the bar, watching Amy make coffee. "You want a cup?"
"No thanks, my stomach's flipping and flopping to much." She smiles at me, a reassuring smile.
"Everything is going to work out perfectly, I promise. Alliah is upstairs if you want to tell her to hurry up." She says, knowing I'm anxious to see Alliah. I smile and run up the stairs. I don't worry about knocking, and just walk in. Alliah is still in the bathroom doing her hair, so I go lay on the bed waiting for her. When she walks out of the bathroom, and sees me laying on the bed, she jumped three feet into the air.
"God Gabby! Make some noise when you come in next time! You just scared the shit out of me!" I could barely hear her over my laughing, but the look on her face told me she thought it was funny too.
"Get dressed! I'm not going to be late for you!" She rushed around, and pulled on a pair of gray cheetah print skinny jeans, and an off the shoulder Asking Alexandria shirt. I smile at her, and she finally looks at what I'm wearing.
"You're wearing the dress I gave you last year!" She comes over to me, turning me around this way and that
"I was wondering when you would notice. Do you like?"
"Like? I love it! You look amazing! We had better go. I don't think I can miss anymore days, and if we stay in my room with you in that dress, I promise you we will miss school." We walk out of the house talking about whether Ms. Schroeder and Mr. Martin were really doing it in the janitors closet everyday during 5th Hour.
When we got to the school parking lot, I circled around trying to find the best place. Alliah pointed out the only parking place left, in the very back of the lot. When we get out, I grab Alliah's hand, intertwining our fingers. Everybody was outside in front of the school, soaking up some of the last few days of sun. The second we touch the grass of the front school yard, all the conversations stopped, and everybody watched us. I heard a few people whisper "lesbians", some said "dykes", and others said "nasty lesbian sluts". We just kept walking, keeping our heads up high, just looking straight ahead, letting everything roll off our backs.
"Isn't this amazing Gabby? Just being able to be ourselves, and quit hiding from everybody? I'm really glad you agreed to this." She was smiling like a four year old who had just been handed a free trip to Disney World.
"You're right, it is amazing, I feel like a weight has lifted off my shoulders, and I'm not hiding behind a mask anymore. I love it!" Then I was smiling like a fool. A few of our friends waved at us, the ones who knew about us, the others stared at us just like the others, some wouldn't even look at us.
At the end of the school day, we made one more final show for everybody. We walked out in front of the school, and started kissing, making sure that everybody and their parents saw it. Afterwards, we went to Alliah's house, picked up her parents, and drove to my house.
We walked into the house, and I had Amy, Dan, and Alliah sit on the couch, while I went and got my mom and dad. When we were all in the same room, I sat on the couch beside Alliah.
"Mom, Dad, I need to talk to you both, and I need you both to listen to everything I have to say before you say anything."
"Okay. What is this about? Are you in some kind of trouble at school?" My mother asks.
"No Mom, I'm fine at school, everything is okay. But I've been hiding something from you. Alliah and I have been hiding something from you." I take a deep breath, preparing myself for what I'm about to do. "Mom, Dad, I'm gay. I have been gay for a long time, and I am in love with Alliah. We've been hiding our relationship from you for two years. And I'm done hiding from you and everybody else. I'm GAY!" I get all of this out in a rush, my voice getting louder on the last part. I'm feeling happy about what I said, when I see my parents faces.
My father jumped up, and grabbed my arm, pulling me to my feet, throwing me against a wall, screaming at me, "You're not gay! You can't be gay! You are NOT my daughter, you are a disgusting piece of shit! Pack your shit, and get out of my house, your mother and I never want to see you again." He throws me into the wall one more time, then pushes me up the stairs. I trip over the first few, falling on my face, but I jump up scrambling up the stairs, I hear somebody behind me, and it makes me run faster, afraid that my father is following me, ready to dish out more punishment.
I slam my bedroom door, sliding down it, crying. Somebody knocks on my door, making me jump. "Who-- Who is it?" I stand up, running my hands across my face to get rid of the tears.
"It's Alliah, honey let me in." I open the door letting her in, and she pulls me to her, hugging me. "Pack your things baby, you're going to come live with us, my parents are already working it out with yours. We can't leave you to be beaten every time you come home. I'm not going to watch you get killed." She lets go of me, rushing around my room, pulling clothes and shoes out of my closet. I reach under my bed, grabbing a suitcase and start putting the clothes into it. After that suitcase is bulging, I grab another, throwing shoes into it, then a smaller bag to put nick knacks in, like books and my jewelry box, things I'd absolutely need. I run into the bathroom, grabbing my makeup, and hair things, then throw them in the bag, zipping it up, grabbing it, and one of the other bags, pulling them down the stairs. Alliah is right behind me pulling the third one. I grab my keys off the table, and run out the door. I unlock the trunk, shoving the bags inside, and jumping in the drivers side, waiting for Amy and Dan. Alliah gets in the passenger side, and we sit there and wait, not talking, not even looking at each other.
They walk out of the house, Amy carrying my purse. They get in the back, and Amy hands my purse up to me. "Saw this on the kitchen table, and thought you might want it." I smile at her in the rear view, and start the car. "We've worked everything out with your parents, you never have to see them again, and no matter what happens between you and Alliah you will always have a place in our house."
"Thanks so much, and I promise I'll get a job, to help with the bills and things like that." After I saw this, Dan scoffs at me. "What? I'm serious, I want to help out since you're taking me in."
"No, you don't have to do that, we have everything settled, and your parents are also going to give us child support for keeping you. It's all going to be underground, so we don't have to do any paper work, or worry about court. Trust me, we've got everything handled, we just want you and Alliah to enjoy your child hood, not worry about whether or not the bills are going to get paid."
"Are you sure, because I could-"
"No! Don't even think about it Gabby, we are going to take care of you." Dan says somewhat laughing.
"Gabby baby, I don't think you're going to win with them. Just give up." I pull into their, no our, driveway, shutting off the car.
"Well, Gabby, you should go in and get settled in and unpacked. We'll start dinner." We all get out of the car, Amy and Dan going into the house, Alliah and I going to the trunk, getting my bags, and taking them into the house. Halfway through unpacking my things, everything finally hit me. I'm living here. I don't ever have to see my parents again. I never have to hide who I am. Everyone knows about Alliah and I. I looked at Alliah, and started busting up laughing, doubling over holding my stomach. Alliah looks at me like I've gone mental.
"It's... Just..." I give up trying to tell her until my fit of laughter calms itself, and I can catch my breath. "It's just because, well I just realized what's going on, what's going to happen. I'm never going to have to see my parents again, I don't have to hide, everything can just be normal."
She walks over to me, and kisses me, softly at first, then she deepens it. She backs me into a wall, and we're still kissing when we hear the door open. She pulls back from me. "Can't we EVER get any privacy in this house?" She screams, then turns around to see her brother standing there. "Adam! I thought you were staying at Grandpa's for the weekend." She tilts her head to the side just a little, meaning 'you're going to tell me the whole story whether you like it or not.' Adam smiles, knowing exactly what the look means.
"That was the plan, until I asked if Eben could stay with us. Well, actually maybe the plan went south when Grandpa walked into my room and saw Eben and I kissing. Yeah, maybe that was it." He smiles and shrugs his shoulders walking out.
Alliah turns back to me. "My grandfather is a huge homophobe. Well only with guys anyway. When I told him I was gay, he was fine with it. I wonder why it upset him that Adam is? Oh well. Where were we?" She smiles playfully, and we continue where we were. My hand had just started to snake up Alliah's shirt, when the door opened again. "Adam, get out and learn how to knock!" She turns around and her mom is standing in the doorway.
"Dinner's ready. I'll give you two a minute to collect yourselves." She walks out of the room laughing. I start running my hands through my hair, trying to tame it, and Alliah is looking in the mirror fixing her lip gloss. We walk downstairs hand in hand.
Dinner was amazing, Lasagna, green beans, and bread. And for dessert we had strawberry cake with sprinkles on it. It was the first home cooked meal I'd had in a long time, and I savored every bite of it. After dinner, Adam and I had clean up duty. I didn't really mind it, because it gave me a chance to talk to him more.
"Adam, how long have you been gay?" I look at him out of the corner of my eye to see him stiffen just a little.
"Well, I've always been gay, just like you, but I didn't start telling anybody, until three years ago. Why?"
"I was just wondering. I just want to know you better. After all we are technically siblings." I keep watching him, he seems to be relaxing the longer we stay in the same room together. He hands me a dish to dry, and while I'm drying it, Adam seems to be thinking about something, wanting to say something, and just not knowing how. "You can say whatever you want, I'll answer any questions you have." That seems to give him the confidence he needs to ask his question.
"How did you know that you were in love with my sister? I mean, I'm assuming you two are in love, the way you were playing footsie under the table all night."
"You... You noticed that?"
He smiles and hands me another dish. "Yeah, you kept kicking me for the first three minutes of dinner."
"I am sooo sorry. I was wondering why Alliah didn't play back. She's normally the one who starts it."
"You didn't answer my question. How'd you know that you were in love with her?"
"Well, It's well, I think I knew when after we started our relationship, and I still had the butterflies in my stomach when ever she would look at me, or smile at me, or touch me, or walk into the same room. Everything she does makes me have butterflies. If you're not in love, the butterflies stop after a while."
"I... I think I know the feeling you're talking about. I think I might be in love with Eben, but I don't think that he's in love with me. I think he's falling our of love with me. What do I do? I mean, is there anything I can say to make him stay with me?"
"I don't think there is anything you can say to make him stay, except to talk to him, and tell him exactly how you feel, and see if he feels the same way. But don't go distant, stay as open as you guys are right now. If you go distant, he'll know that something is wrong."
"Th... Thanks I'll talk to him tonight we're actually going out so that'll be the perfect time. Thank you Gabby, I really do appreciate you talking to me about this."
"Yeah, not a problem. I hope everything works out for you." I put the last dish in the cabinet, and smile at him. "I'm going to finish unpacking. I'll talk to you later okay?" He nods and we go our separate ways. I walk past the living room, and see Amy and Dan snuggled up together on the couch, with Alliah sitting cross-legged in front of them, watching a movie. I sneak past them, and up the stairs.
In Alliah and I's bedroom, I grab my last bag, and throw it on the bed, unzipping it. Laying on the top of my things, is something I've never seen before. It's a small jewelry box, it looks like it's for a ring. I pick it up and open it. Inside is the most gorgeous ring I've ever seen. It's a thin silver ring with a small diamond in it, as I'm turning it this way and that, I see something on the inside of the ring flash. I look closer and see an engraving. I hold the ring up to the light more, and see the words 'Forever and always you'll be mine. -Alliah' I smile knowing she meant for me to find this. I slip it on my left ring finger and walk back downstairs.
I go into the living room, and sit beside Alliah. She leans over and puts her head on my right shoulder, cuddling up next to me. I lay my head on top of hers, pulling my knees up, putting my left hand on my knees, making sure the ring is in plain sight. "You weren't supposed to finish unpacking without me! Why didn't you tell me you were going to unpack?" She sits up on her knees in front of me, and somebody pauses the movie. "Since you already found it, I guess I can ask you now." She stands up and pulls me up too, pulling the ring off my finger. She gets down on one knee and says: "Gabrielle Madison Harte, I love you more than I could ever explain to anybody in the world. Will you marry me? I mean after we graduate and figure out what we're going to do with our lives, and... and..."
"Alliah shut up and listen to me." I grab her hand pulling her up to stand with me. "I love you more than anything in the world, and more than I could explain to anybody else, so yes, I will marry you!" Alliah just stares at me, while Amy, Dan, Adam, and Eben, who must have just got here to pick up Adam for their date, clap and smile, and start congratulating us. Finally Amy pats Alliah on the back.
"Alliah honey, she said yes. She said yes!" Alliah looks at her mom, then looks at me.
"You... said... yes?" I nod at her while she starts smiling at me, and she throws her arms around my neck while everybody else just laughs at her. "You said yes." She pulls back, and crushes her lips to mine. "You said yes!"
That night, laying next to Alliah, I twisted the ring on my finger, over and over. It just seems like a dream, like a beautiful golden dream that I'm going to wake up from and discover that I'm still in my nightmare. Alliah rolls over, putting her back to me, so I put my arm around her pulling her closer to me, and snuggling up next to her.
"Gabby. Gaaaaabbbbbyyyyy. Wake up!" I feel the blanket fly off of me. I turn on my side seeing Adam standing over me. "Come here I need to talk to you." He whispers in my ear. I get up looking at the clock and seeing that it's five in the morning. I give a little inward groan at being up this early, but follow Adam anyway feeling as if what he needs to say is important.
In the living room, I rub my left eye trying to get all the sleep out of it. "Adam it's five 'o clock in the morning. What in the world could be soooo important that you have to wake me up at five in the morning?" I sit down on the couch, curling my legs underneath me, laying my head on the back of the couch trying to stay awake.
"I figured out why Eben was acting so weird! He just told his parents about him being gay, and he wants me to meet them, he just didn't know how to tell me, because even after him telling his parents, their still somewhat homophobes, so he just wanted to warn me. That's all he was worried about."
"That's great Adam, so did you tell him how you feel? You know, about how you might love him?"
"Duh! The second he opened his mouth, it just rushed out, and he just smiled and laughed. Oh and he said congratulations about you and Alliah. He's really happy for you guys."
"Oh, well tell him we said thanks. Well, I'm assuming that Alliah would say thanks if she was awake."
"She would. I know she would. Gabby, I'm really glad that you're with Alliah."
"Me too." I murmur as I fall asleep on the couch.
"Gabby honey, wake up you're going to be late for school. You need to wake up." I blink a couple times trying to figure out where I am, when Dan's face pops infront of mine. He smiles and says: "Good you're up! Breakfast is on the table, but you're going to have to hurry if you want to eat." I jump up, running upstairs, seeing Alliah still sleeping, I shake her to wake her up. She doesn't move at all, so I shake her again, and still nothing.
"Alliah. Alliah, wake up. We're going to be late for school. Alliah wake up!" With this last one, I push her, and she fly's off the bed.
"What the fuck!" She jumps up shooting daggers at me until she realizes who I am. "Sorry baby girl, you just surprised me. Sorry." I smile at her to let her know that it's alright, I grab a pair of black skinny jeans, and a Pop Evil t-shirt out of the closet, stripping out of my pajama's, and putting these on. I grab a pair of black half boot heels, lacing them up I see Alliah grab some shorts and a Black Veil Brides off the shoulder shirt. When she pulls her shorts on, I smile, because they are absolutely the shortest pair of shorts she owns.
"You are absolutely the worst person in the world to wake up, you know that right? And you should put on some pants or some longer shorts at least."
She smiles leaning her head to the side then back real fast. "I know I am. Why do I need to put on different clothes? What's wrong with these? You're not going to be one of those people who tells me what to wear are you?" She crosses her arms across her chest, glaring at me.
I walk over to her, and grab her arms dragging them down off of her chest, exposing her leopard print bra. "I've never been one of those people, you know that. I just think you should put on more clothes, because if you don't, and I have to look at you all day at school dressed in those clothes, your clothes will be in the floor."
"Oh really? What if..." She unbuttons her shorts, shaking her hips and using her hands to push them down.
"Well, I think I might have to punish you for that one." I move closer to her, crushing my lips to hers, helping myself to her body. I know that soon we will be having sex if this goes on much longer, but as soon as Alliah's hand starts to go down my pants, there's a knock on the door, and Adam yells at us to hurry up if we want to eat. Alliah starts pulling her clothes on, while I look in the mirror and straighten myself up. "I love you."
She smiles at me. "I love you too." She grabs my hand, pulling me downstairs. "No time to eat. Sorry Dad!" She yells as she pulls me out of the door and almost literally shoves me into the passenger side of my car.
"Since when are you driving? I drive us everywhere. What's going on?" She drives well over the speed limit, and I hurriedly grab my seat belt, pulling it around me, missing the slit a few times. "You need to slow down, there is still a speed limit."
She looks away from the road smiling at me. "Will you just trust me doll face? I know what I'm doing and where I'm going. You on the other hand don't need to know. Put this over your eyes." She reaches in her purse pulling out an eye mask. She hands it to me, and for some reason, I trust her, and put it on over my eyes, holding it out a little so that I don't ruin my makeup.
"Can I at least have a hint as to where you're taking me and my car?" I ask, peeking out at her, but not enough that she would notice that I can see.
She takes one her right hand off the wheel, laying it on my thigh, high enough that if anybody else was with us, my face would have been more red then my hair. "If I tell you then it won't be a surprise. Just trust me. I know what I'm doing."
"Can I at least take the blindfold off? I'm pretty sure I don't know where we're going, and most likely won't figure it out." I take the eye mask off, not waiting for an answer, shoving it in between the seat and the door.
"Hey, that's cheating! You can't look!" Even as she's saying this trying to act mad, she starts laughing. "Oh fine. I guess you can look. You know I can't stay mad at you." She starts running her hand up and down my leg.
"If you keep doing that, we will have to pull over and try out the back seat." She laughs even more, but stops moving her hand up and down, just laying it on my thigh. "Are you sure that I can't have one little bitty hint about where we're going?" As soon as I say this, I see a tunnel. When we come out of the tunnel, I see the most amazing beach ever. The ocean is so clear, you can see straight to the bottom it seems.
"Is that a good enough hint?" We keep driving for about another mile, then Alliah slows down and pulls into a round driveway, of the most simple, beautiful cottage I had ever seen.
"Alliah, what is this?" She shuts the car off, and gets out walking to my side of the car, and opening my door, helping me out.
"I would say it's a house. What do you think it is?" She pulls me out of the car, and I just lean against the car door staring up at the house. It's made out of beautiful gray, black, and white bricks. There's a huge bay window in the on the right side, overlooking the ocean, and to the left are woods so deep, if you looked up you could see stars in the middle of the day. The door is a deep, dark purple.
"Wow." I say feeling my jaw gaping open. "It's beautiful. Whose is it?"
"It's even better on the inside, and it's ours. Why would I bring you to see it if it was somebody else's?" She grabs my hand pulling me up the walk way, that is framed by stargazer lilies, and up to the door. Pulling a key out of her pocket, she unlocks the door and pushes it open.
The house is absolutely amazing inside. Huge ceilings, with wooden beams showing, a huge fire place, with a roaring fire, sitting beside another bay window looking out at a pond in the back yard, and a huge floor to ceiling bookcase, shoved full of books, and beautiful Victorian furniture throughout the rest of the room. “This is amazing!” I say turning around to look at Alliah. She smiles and motions for me to follow her. She walks to the right of the front door and down a hallway into the bedroom.
“I think we should break this room first. What do you think?” Before I can even open my mouth to say anything, she is out of her clothes and lying on the bed. “Come join me? I’m starting to get cold. We need to warm this house up.” She starts running her hands all along her body
“Mmmm… You know what it does to me when you touch yourself.” I bite my bottom lip, then get on the end of the bed, on my knees, and start kissing up her legs. When I get to the inside of her thighs, I kiss up them, then start kissing the lips of her vagina, then slowly slip my tongue in between her lips, playing with her clit. I run my finger around her warm, juicy slit; I feel her arch just a little, from me tonguing her. I wait until she arches again, and then shove my finger into her slit, still licking her. When she loosens up a little, I put another finger inside her, moving a little faster with each thrust.
