There are six kingdoms on this Island, known as Serenity Island; the Forest kingdom (elves), Coral kingdom (mermaids) the Dark Kingdom (vampires) the Magic kingdom (faeries), the Underground Kingdom (dwarves) and the Mortal kingdom (mortals).
Now, let me tell you about each and every kingdom, starting with the Forest Kingdom.
The Forest Kingdom is located in the deep, dark woods that are close to Outsider Bay. It's basically a circle of dead trees surrounding the Island. The Forest Kingdom is inhabited by elves, dryads (wood nymphs) and satyrs, but there are more Elves there. The Elves are in charge of supplying the kingdom with food and wood, while the dryads and satyrs are in charge of keeping trees and plants healthy.
The next kingdom is the Coral kingdom, which is located in Outsider Bay. Outsider Bay is a sandy beach and it's the boarder of the Island. What I mean is: the Island is one big circle, and Outsider Bay is the, you could say, outer core of the Island. Anyways, the Coral Kingdom is inhabited by mermaids, naiads and pirates. The mermaids and naiads are in charge of keeping the waters clean from litter, while the pirates are on lookout for any trespassers.
The third kingdom is the Underground kingdom. Only the Dwarves can survive down here, as they are in charge of mining for diamonds, ore, steel, gold, etc. Then, they use their mining carts to transport their ore to the Smithies, the dwarves who melt gold and make jewelry out of them. The jewelry goes to the Market, which is located in the middle of the Island.
Next up is the Vampire kingdom. The Vampires were actually accidentally transported here by a mistake. You see, the Vampires were trying to get to Hansel's Island, an island not too far away from Serenity Island. Anyways, the Vampires do nothing but suck blood in order to gain more vampires for their kingdom. The Elves have lost over 6,000 people, thanks to these ferocious monsters.
The Magic kingdom is home of the faeries and pixies. The faeries are in charge of farming, making clothes and producing magic. Not much is known about the faeries, but they live in The Magic Hills. Their magic is very, very strong there, while their magic is extremely weak elsewhere.
Last but not least is the Mortal kingdom. The Mortal kingdom is where normal Möbians live. They live for about 80 - 100 years, unlike the others. The Mortals are in charge of almost all of the jobs the other kingdoms have (except magic); hunting, gathering, knitting, mining, etc. The Mortals are normal. Nothing special about them. They live all around the Island. Some even live underground!
Now, which group do YOU want to join?
On Serenity Island, we travel by the trolley, which is one of the only safest ways to get around. Some, like the pirates, travel on boats. I wasn't boarding the trolley yet. No, I'm at Filmore Train Station, waiting for an indeed very good friend of mine. Her name is Launa, and she is the Bookkeeper of all of Serenity Island.
Launa is a mortal, and she owns a library at the Marketplace. Inside the Library, you'll see all kinds of strange books, including the book known as "Dragonwrath," which is rumoured to be Elandorr, the Elf Queen's journal. The original copy of "Dragonwrath" is only found in the Library. Many people have tried photocopying the book, but when they do it comes out as blank pieces of old, worn - out papers.
Anyways, the trolley had finally arrive, and Launa, along with her elf best friend Scourge, disembarked, along with the other residents of Serenity Island. "Hello, Watch - " Launa cheered happily until Scourge shushed her. Scourge is the smallest elf-hedgehog in his group, and he's also very wise, despite being over two hundred thousand years old! But he has the physical age of 27. Scourge is a grassy green hedgehog boy who wears elf clothing; a brown robe, the Elf Crown (it's a crown made of sticks and has leaves on top) and worn out wooden shoes. He is about 1"3 feet tall.
Then there's Launa. She's a regular girl with no special abilities except she's agile and very fast (not as fast as me, of course! Haha!) She is also pretty smart, but has a hard time understanding sarcasm. Launa is a brown hedgehog girl that has short quills. She wears glasses, an Of Mice & Men t-shirt, Jean shorts and neon green and dark grey Reebok shoes. She is fairly small, only 2"6 feet tall.
"I mean. . . Hello, Sonic." Launa said quickly, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Oh, hey Launa, Scourge. Welcome back." I smiled slightly. Launa grins and bows awkwardly. "Thanks, Wa - I mean Sonic!" She yelled loud, earning strange stares from the others, including Scourge. "How was the trip to the Coral Kingdom?" I asked, quickly trying to strive up a conversation.
"It was nice, actually," Scourge replied. "We didn't see any outsiders. Thank Lord Hades." He sighed, "Rumour has it that outsiders from Hudson's Island are gonna be here, and we should get ready. I heard that the queen, Amelia Rose, is so damn cute." He had a smirk on his face.
I chuckled, "Always one with the ladies, eh? Elves these days. You should've been born as an incubus, since you're just SOOOO romantic." Scourge pouted and Launa howled of laughter, earning even MORE strange stares from others. Scourge and I both sighed, until Launa spoke up. "Well, let's head to the Marketplace and get some gifts for the Queen's arrival!"
The two of us nod, "Right." We sit on the nearby bench, waiting for the trolley to the Marketplace. While waiting, Scourge pulled out a strange magic device, and started tapping it. "What's that?" I asked curiously. "This? Oh, this is a Mortal Project, and they call it a 'telephone.' What it does is it can call people from all over Serenity Island, and even the entire planet! It's so cool!" I smiled a bit uneasily. Mortal Projects are basically inventions created by the Mortals, like Launa, for example.
Anyways, once the trolley had arrived for the Market, the three of us board the train. Scourge paid the driver four gold drachmas that had King Midas on it. He always had spare change, so luckily he had enough for all of us. Once Scourge paid our fee, the three of us headed for the back, like we usually did. Launa sat in the middle, while Scourge sat alone, playing on his telephone. I looked out the window. The trolley starts moving slowly, and a couple minutes later it went about 45 mph, which is way slower than me. Launa started to sing, swinging her small feet and playing with her fingernails.
I could tell that Scourge was spaced out, because his facial expression was all dreamy. Something I learned when I became Watcher of Serenity Island is most elves are very adventurous, and love to dream. I know it sounds cheesy, but it's true. Well, all the elves on this ISLAND.
Suddenly, the trolley came to a sudden stop, almost making me fly out of my seat, until someone grabbed my arm. I glanced to my left to see. . . a spirit!
"Hey! You alright?"
