Dylan Robert Harrison shoved his large hands deep inside the pockets of his black slacks as he averted his eyes from the article that just came into his department and watched the people that walked past Oil Town Life's building below. It was a cold afternoon and been raining non-stop for three days. He sighed and looked at the article again. He groaned at the title. 'Oil Town Mix Marriages.' Dumb. It was written by Maria Elena Edwin, his friend. Bet that slimy Stan Lee instructed her to write the article. Maria would never write a piece of old shit like that if not being bullied by the short and pot-bellied Chinese man. Who cares about mix marriages nowadays anyway? It was old news. He sighed again as he leaned over his large desk and punched the intercom. "Sally, can you ask Maria Edwin to come to my office now?" he said. "Will do, boss," Sally replied. "Thanks."
Minutes later, Dylan heard a soft knock on the door. "Just get your big butt in here, Maria! Formality doesn't suit you," he barked. The door opened and he saw Maria poked her head inside...grinning widely. Dylan scowled.
