Prologue

I thought it was going to be another boring summer, I was wrong. I wasn't even on the tip of the iceburg! I was not even 4.5 miles near it! I was far behind!


It was a midsummers day, and I was sitting on the porch licking off the ice-cream drops from the cone."Aw man!", is what I said when I spilled multiple drops of ice-cream on my church dress. "What'll Mama say now when she sees that my dress has a stain..."

"I'm home," said Mama. "Now where is my Virginia Claire!" No one calls me that anymore. They all call me Gigi. But Mama doesn't catch on very quickly! "Virginia... Gigi?"said Mama. Even if she calls me by my nickname, I can't show up in front of her looking like an ice-cream snowman. I have to think fast.
"Coming Mama!" I bellowed. I sped up the stairs and into the bathroom. I got a warm wet washcloth and rapidly scrubbed just about evrywhere on my dress. So far so good. Ok, now the stain is gone. All I have to do now is explain to Mama what I had been busy doing.
"Virginia Claire, what are you doing up there?" Mama called from the bottom of the steps. She began walking up the steps a little fast. She is quite worrisome actually, but I can get used to it.
"Oh, hi Mama! I was just..."she cut me off.
"You should go and say hi to our new neighbors! They'd be delighted to have some good company."
"Our new what... I mean... not to be rude but... you know that you promised to buy next door and let me turn it into a music studio!"
"You knew I was kidding!" She's right. I did know. But still, we have a huge case in our hands. I was living my life in total peace, until random people just decided to rampage over my personal paradise (that's alliteration).
"Go on and make some friends," said Mama."You never know what amazing people you'll meet!"

And until I returned from planet Luna, I had know idea that my Mama was saying things that if she knew what adventure I was going to experience, it would mean way more than she expected!
