The Soul's Nullification

My existence is but an emanation— 

descending from the light of the All in one— 

my soul is an illusion creation. 

 

Just as light emanating from the sun 

is nullified within the solar orb— 

within its source visible light is undone. 

 

My soul, within its source becomes absorbed— 

my very existence becomes nullified. 

I am but a shade before the All in one. 

 

With Him, in unity, my soul seeks to abide. 

Before Him my soul seeks to be nullified. 

Divine Attributes

Generous, loving, 

Omnipotent, forgiving: 

Divine attributes.

Peace

Waves wash ashore with a whooshing sound 

above gulls circle round 

their cries softly sound 

seaward bound 

peace 

 

distant joyful sounds as children play 

gentle touch of ocean spray 

warm sun brightened day 

all these say 

peace 

 

serene contented contemplation 

awareness of all sensations 

mindful meditation 

concentration 

peace 

Between Reality and Dream

 

In that half dreaming state between sleep and wakefulness consciousness discerns not the line between reality and dream. 

 

Morning’s light breaks through 

as consciousness awakens. 

Dream’s foggy mist fades. 

Wakefulness

Wakefulness breaks through, 

as the Sun’s early 

light heralds the morning. 

Dream’s foggy mist 

yields to reality I 

can see. 

Mindfulness

Mindfulness-- 

focused, aware; 

feeling, experiencing, breathing. 

In the moment, all-encompassing tranquility, 

contentment, serenity, 

peace.
