Tamara's Story

So bored, so bored! That's what Tamara was writing. Her first period English class was okay, but now she was in science class with nothing to do. Science was her favorite class but today was extremely boring. That's only because today they had a test but she was already finished with hers it only took ten minutes, and she didn't have anything else to do.
Tamara only had one friend a his name was Todd and the only thing he really knew about her was what any normal girl would be like and that she was an outcast. Todd was 16 a year younger than Tamara and believed in aliens. He had always thought Tamara was hiding a secret ever since she first moved in 7 houses down the road from him 5 years ago. Since she was his only friend and he also had a crush on her he decided to leave it be.Todd also found it strange how everyone avoided her at school. Tamara was a very nice person but Todd at times also felt that there was something off about Tamara.
Tamara thought that there was only good thing about this place was that Todd was here without him around she would've probably gone crazy and that the only other witches around here were and 90 year old man and a 60 year old women who got along with Tamara fine because they all practiced white magic.
Though she knew it was her fault that she and her parents had to move. it would've never had happen if she hadn't told her best friend Kellsie that she was a witch when Kellsie told Tamara that she would stop being her friend if she didn't start telling her the truth. So Tamara told Kellsie tho truth , but when she didn't believe her Tamara got wicked angry and she did a demonstration of her powers. Unfortunately Kellsie got scared and told her parents and they believed her because the town had always known there was something off about Watkins family so they chased out Tamara and her family. Luckily her father had just been told recently that he was being transferred to Jacksville,Tennessee. So they did a spell to erase every memory the town had of them and left.
Her rambling thoughts were interrupted by Mr. Mathews and that was when she first saw him. Mr. Mathews was introducing a new student at first she couldn't believe it. His name was Gabriel Manors, apparently the same age as Tamara. Although Gabriel wasn't the normal height for a 17 year old and he was hot he had dark black hair that in the light had a green sheen to it and his muscles were just the right size not to big and not too small. His eyes were green with gold flecks in them. The only problem for Tamara is that he's a witch.Tamara still wasn't sure if the witch society had forgiven them for letting people know about witches because they hadn't been in touch with any society witches since she revealed their secret even if they did later on erase all of their memories of them.
Gabriel was surprised he could feel faint traces of magick but there weren't supposed to be any witches living here. He couldn't figure out who it was because he could barely feel the traces and was thinking the other witch must be powerful to cover their traces. He couldn't help wondering if it was one of the teachers, only an adult could have that much power. So he would have to wait until the witch confronted him or the witch slipped up and made a mistake.
Tamara had been waiting to talk to Gabriel all day they had all the same classes but in every one there were a bunch of girls vying for his attention, asking him out and wanting him to sit next to them. Tamara couldn't understand why she hadn't even talked to Gabriel yet or really met him but, she was jealous about all the attention he was getting from other girls. Finally she got her chance last period in gym when Mr. Sakowitz partnered them up together to play bad mitten. Gabriel started to introduce himself and Tamara said to him "There's no need everyone knows your name almost every girl in school is talking about you. My name is Tamara Nelson."
Gabriel looked kind of embarrassed at that. The other team served the birdie right to Gabriel and Tamara couldn't take it any more so she blurted out I know what you are. Do you practice black or white?" Gabriel couldn't believe someone knew that he was a witch he was so surprised he missed the birdie when it got to him since there was nothing he could do about it right now he decided to answer and erase all her memories of witches. " I practice white. How do you know about witches?" He asked while throwing the birdie back to the other team.
Tamara got this look on her face that said well duh then to a look of understanding she said "You cant see the traces of my magic can you I'm a witch too and I also practice white its nice to meet you. Its nice to finally have another witch around."
Gabriel was shocked he had noticed her before. She was in all of his classes. She was the only girl he was attracted to,out of all the girls throwing themselves at him she had caught his eye because she didn't seem attracted to him at all. So he was happy that they were partners in P.E. While they were introducing themselves he had also noticed again her long bleach blond hanging down her back like a halo. She was thin but had curves she didn't look like she was anorexic. Also she was about an inch or two shorter than him which meant she was, pretty tall because he was 6'9".
What surprised Gabriel the most was Tamara was the same age as him yet her powers were stronger than any other witches he had met. Since Gabriel had wanted to ask Tamara out the fact that she was a witch made it easier for him no hiding who he was. Instead he could start out being her friend get to know each other a little better help each other out with spells then he would decide if he wanted to ask her out.
Tamara was happy there was another witch in town, finally someone to talk to about magic that weren't her parents. Unfortunately she couldn't tell if he was one the types to be a complete jerk that didn't need anybody, because Mr. Sakowitz was watching they're game. They worked really well together Although she was glad he was a witch that practiced white magic. Witches that practiced white magic used their powers for good didn't harm humans and sometimes helped humans with their problems.
The witches who used dark magic hate humans and witches that use white magic. They hunt down humans or white witches they despise the most and kill them or use them as a human sacrifice.
At the end of class Gabriel asked Tamara where she lived and was happy when she told him cause it was a couple houses down the road from him. So he asked Tamara if she would like to walk home together.
Gabriel was happy when Tamara said yes but then she said "I'm sure Todd will be glad to meet you." "There's another witch around here I thought it was just you. Is he your boyfriend?" Gabriel couldn't understand why he was so jealous he had only known Tamara for about 30 minutes. She looked surprised "No. Todd's human he's just another outcast because he believes in UFO's." She sheepishly added he's just a friend, I've never had a boyfriend." Gabriel was shocked and yet strangely pleased, she was beautiful what guy could not want her. They should be jumping at her left and right.
Tamara couldn't believe she had just told Gabriel that shed never had a boyfriend he looked surprised and strangely pleased. So she then asked "How many girlfriends have you had?" Now it was Gabriel's turn to look embarrassed as he said "I've only had two girlfriends." "Really." "Yeah, most of the witches I met were too self centered, and the humans you have to keep alot of secrets and theres no honesty in a relationship, so you cant be yourself." Tamara was happy that he had had only two girlfriends, wich also surprised her. For some srange reason she was strongly attracted to Gabriel, Tamara didnt know if it was because he was the first male witch she'd seen in a long time around her own age or something else. Unfortunetly whatever it was it made her blurt out embarrising things about herself and it was kind of disturbing.
Gabriel was thinking along the same lines as Tamara was. He couldnt believe he'd asked her if Todd was her boyfriend! He also couldnt believe that he had told her that he'd onlyu had two girlfriends. He had never acted this foolishly around girls before. He didnt normally just blurt out things that are on his mind and from the look on Tamara's face she feels the same. Although Gabriel was pleased by the fact that Tamara looked so happy that he hadnt had that many girlfriends. So then Gabriel said "How about I meet you outside of school by the bycicle rack? Its kind of cool we dont have to take the bus home." "I agree. We'll see you out there ." They both went to get changed.
Todd was surprised when Tamara wanted to wait outside of school, normally they would just hurry up and rush to the bus because they barely saw each other in school. In the hallways they would see each other and say a few passing words to each other and they also had lunch together. Then Todd finally understood why Tamara wanted to wait, she had invited the new kid to walk with them to the bus. Tamara still hadnt realized yet that he has had a crush, no correction has been in love with her for five years since the first day they met actually.
Todd was hoping that Tamara wasnt to head over heels for this guy. He had a very hard time bieng polite to him while he introduced himself. When they got on the bus he asked Gabriel " Why did you move here?" "Oh.... my dad's work transfered him here." Todd had noticed Gabriel's slight hesitation and was wondering if he was telling the truth.
Then they came to Gabriel's house, he said goodbye and then Todd said to Tamara "I think he's lying about why his family moved here." "Oh why do you think that." Tamara looked worried and flustered as if she was as if she was trying to hide something and said with a look at Tamara "He also used the same reason you did for moving here." Tamara's response was kinda hasty "Oh well it is kind of a common thing to happen." Todd nodded he had always known that she had a secret but didnt push her on it. He was afraid that if he did he would lose her friendship. It sort of hurt that she didnt trust him. Sometimes Tamara looked like she was on the verge of telling him then she would start to fiddle with something.
Tamara was also wondering the true reason that Gabriel's family had moved here. She had forgotten to ask because she was so exited to have another witch around. She decided to ask tomorrow and maybe invite him over, see about doing a couple of spells. When two or more witches do magic together the spells are stronger. Tamara was sort of worried because Todd had hit close to home. She was sort of lying about the fact that they moved just because her dad got transfered, if it werent for the fact that she had exposed theyre secret her dad wouldve probly refused. She also hated the fact that she had to lie to Todd all the time.
With a sigh Todd decided to let it go when he noticed Tamara wasnt going to even respond, and started to talk about other things. In all truth though he was steaming they were friends for five years, she had never told him her secrets, and it already looked like Gabriel knew it and they had only known each other for two hours. Tamara went blathering on about nothing thankfully because Todd had become very good at hiding his feelings over these last five years.
After a few minutes they came to Todds house and Todd gave Tamara a farewell hug and kiss on the cheek. The rest of the short ride home Tamara couldnt help but think about how close she just came to telling Todd the truth. Todd had already acidentally found out once and he was scared half to death. Luckly she had quickly erased his memories so her parents never found out. So far the spell was still holding. Tamara still couldnt believe how easily Todd had snuck up on her when she was doing a simple levitation spell. So far the memory still hadnt resurfaced.
Then she started musing to her self how Gabriel had thought Todd was her boyfriend. Sure Todd was kinda cute most likely the only reason he had no girlfriends was because he believed in UFO's and he hung out with her. His bone structure was strong, he had pretty blue eyes, and disheveled black hair that no matter what he did wouldnt stay in place.
Instantly Tamara's thoughts turned to Gabriel and how his eyes continuesly changed into different shades of green, although the gold flecks in his eyes never changed, but this was common for witches. She also wondered if the kids at school would start to fear and avoid him like they did her.
When her parents got home and asked her the same old questions every parent asks. "How was school? Did you have fun?" normally Tamara would say "Yeah it was all right." but today her parents got a surprise when she burst out enthusiasticly "Guess what! Did you know that some witches moved in just down the road from us." Her parents exchanged a worried look. "Did you meet them yet?" "Just thier son Gabriel. "We have every class together. Before you ask he practiceses white magic, but I have to ask him tomorrow if the rest of his family does." Her father looked at her sharply and asked "Did you sense that he was lying to you?" "No the only time he lied to me was when Todd asked him why he moved here. I only beleive he lied about that because Todd was there." "You sure ?" "Yes, is it allright if I invite him over tomorrow."
Her parents were communicating through witch messages. Thier daughter didnt know it but it was very unusual for a child her age to have so much power, and it was increasing every day that was why the witch community had wanted them to move. She would be able to protect herself from any dangers. So they asked "Whats thier last name." "It's Mason." They were surprised if they were thinking of the correct people the Masons had two sons one was a trouble maker he got kicked out of alot of schools his name was Billy, the other well apparently his name was Gabriel and they had heard that the second kid was basicly an angel." They had come to a decision. "We dont mind if you hang out with Gabriel, but if we have the right family we want you to stay away from his older brother Billy as much as possible. Alright?" "Yes. I'll be in my room if you need me."
Later on Tamara was having a wonderful dream where she and Gabriel were on the beach in the sun talking about magic.
Just down the road Gabriel was having a dream similiar to Tamara's.
Todd was having a very interesting dream about aliens visiting earth and they had killed Gabriel. Then after the aliens left he and Tamara got married.
The next morning Tamara met Todd outside his house then they walked on to see if Gabriel was going to walk with them, although Todd wasnt to happy about this.
Gabriel had woken up early so that he could be out side when Tamara walked by so he could walk with Tamara. When he met them outside his house, Gabriel cursed his own stupidity he had forgotten all about Todd. Looks like hell have to play nice this morning, so he gave Todd a fake smile and said "Good morning. Todd. Tamara." Todd mumbled something resembling a good morninng and Tamara replyed to him with a very eager greeting, at least she was happy to see him.
Todd on the other hand was the opposite, every time Tamara wasnt looking he would glare at him so in return when she wasnt looking he gave Todd an look equal to the level of his own. Gabriel looked at Tamara and saw that she was ignoring them. To ease some of the tension surrounding the three of them he started to ask questions about the teachers to see how much he would be able to get away with, without the use of magic.
Tamara was sad she didnt know that Todd's feelings for her was this deep. She had known he had a crush on her but when she saw his reaction to Gabriel, that was when she realized that he was in love with her. She felt horrible, sure she loved Todd but as a brother nothing more. Also she was very worried that Gabriel and Todd would get in a fight and she would be stuck in the middle of it.
When they got to school Gabriel was happy because Todd could only stay with them for a few minutes before he had to leave them to go to his own classes, also the only period they all shared was lunch.
While walking to class Tamara asked "Do you have any brothers or sisters and does your whole family practice white magic, or just you?" "My parents and I practice white magic... but my brother practices black. Hes also the real reason why we moved here, hes been kicked out of about ten different schools." "Oh thankfully he goes to a different school I think its called Landerville." "You guys dont get along that well?" "No hes always trying to get me to use dark magic and were always fighting because I refuse to." "Well that must suck luckly for me I'll never have that problem it actually makes me glad that Im an only child,oh and my parents also practice white magic. Would you like to come over to my house after school my parents arent going to be home until around seven thirty. You dont even have to meet them yet if you dont want to."
Gabriel looked thoughtful for a moment then said "No its all right I would like to meet your parents." Smiling at him Tamara said "All right during class I'll send a witch message to tell them your coming over and will be there when they get home." Gabriel was surprised that she was able to send a witch message that far and he barely felt her do it. "They said it was all right and that they cant wait to meet you. Do you have to ask your parents?" "Yeah but I can stop home and meet you a couple houses down from Todds unless he knows about you bieng a witch." "No he doesnt so yeah I'll meet you a couple of houses from Todds, oh and my parents want me to stay away from your brother." "Thats alright I understand."
Tamara looking at him shyly said "Well we can talk more about this later we got to get to class. Um, would you like to sit next to me in our classes it'd be nice to sit next to someone who can really know who I am." "Are you sure it seems that alot of girls will hate your gut if I do?" "Its all right most people already hate me I just ignore them." "In a way I guess Im glad though it makes me wonder why they hate you so much." "Oh its because they on some level know that I'm different. And they hate that fact, either your like them or your not it also didnt help that I didnt care about how popular I could be. Oh theres one problem we have to convince the teachers that we should be allowed to sit together."
"I might be able to arrange that." Tamara was about to ask what he had in mind when the bell rang. Tamara went to her seat while Gabriel went to talk to thier teacher.
A few seconds later Mr. Adams looked up and asked Parkinson to switch seats with Gabriel so that Tamara (since she was the student with the highest grades) to help Gabriel get ajusted to the chapter they were on in social.
Tamara watched as Gabriel walked over and took the seat next to her while the whole entire time he had a huge grin on his face. If he could pull this off in every single class then he would be sitting next to her permanetly for the rest of the year, exept lunch of course since they were assigned to different cafeteria rooms. Tamara was glad to be sitting next to someone she can talk to about magic, it also helped that Gabriel was hot.
Gabriel was very happy and extremly proud of himself. Every class he went to he asked the teacher to sit next to Tamara for help and then switched seats with whoever sat next to her. Then while the teachers werent looking they would pass notes back and forth. Gabriel couldnt understand why he found Tamara so interesting I mean sure she was beautiful,smart, and strong, but there was something about her. It was strange how relaxed he was around her and how they got along so well. Normaly he was rude to everyone exept his family, well exept for his brother, that was a whole other matter and it made everyone hate him. It took a long time for people to like him thats why he had only two girlfriends and very few friends. It was cool that here because he was the new kid in school he was popular. Even though his popularity was fading fast he was happy there was a hot girl who was also smart and a witch. Though Gabriel couldnt help but wonder what Tamara really thought of him and if she would go out on a date with him he'd just have to wait and see what would happen.
During lunch Tamara looked extremley happy. So Todd asked her "Why are you so happy?" Looking a little embaressed she said "I'm happy because I now sit next to Gabriel in every class its nice to have someone to talk to while the teachers are droning on, it sure makes time fly by." Todd was jealous Gabriel got to spend all day with Tamara and he only got to spend time with her during lunch and after school for a little bitt. It bothered him that she was never this happy to see him. They have known each other for five years and she still didnt know how much he cared for her. He was thinking about telling her when he saw who was walking towards them, guess who it was.
Tamara noticed that Todd looked angry so she turned around to see what it was and was surprised to see Gabriel coming towards them with a tray full of food. She was in shock this was completley unexpected and very cool. What was Gabriel doing he had a completly different cafeteria room. She was glad though Todd in his present mood wasnt exectly the best company right now.
Gabriel sat down next to Tamara and was rewarded with a smile then he looked over at Todd and saw him glaring. Wich Todd then followed up with by brusquely asking "What are you doing here? This is cafeteria 114 not cafeteria 314." Gabriel replied in the most pleasant vioce and facial expression he could muster "Cafeteria 314 was too crowded so they transferred me here. Isnt this great now I get to spend some time with both of you." Tamara and Todd both said yeah at the same time the only difference is that Tamara said it enthusiasticly, with a smile and Todd said it sarcasticly, with a glare of course.
Looking at Tamara, Gabriel couldnt believe how everything felt right when he was with her he had'nt known her for that long but already he felt as if he had known her forever. Gabriel then looked at Todd and knew that sooner or later he ws going to be trouble. He was getting to nosey. The problem was what to do with him? He would have to talk to Tamara about it. Gabriel just couldnt wait to see the look on Todd's face when he found out that his family was having dinner with Tamara's family tonight. So he decided to leave it until Tamara mentioned it.
Tamara was thinking along the same lines as Gabriel Todd was getting too suspicious. The problem was that she didnt know what to do about him. Although she couldnt wait till tonight.
At the end of the day Tamara and Gabriel went to thier lockers and since their lockers were near each other they walked outside where after a few moments Todd joined them.
Todd was amused with the look that Gabriel gave him when he sat next to Tamara on the bus making Gabriel sit in the seat next to him but he was confused when Gabriel didnt get off at his stop. He looked at Gabriel and asked "You do know that you just missed your stop right?" He knew something was up when he saw that Gabriel had a smug smile on his face and that when he looked at Tamara she was blushing. His suspiscion was confirmed when Gabriel said "Yeah I know Im going over to Tamara's house and later on my parents will join us for dinner." When Todd looked over at Tamara she looked apolagetic and said "Oh sorry I forgot to tell you my parents wanted to welcome the new family and when they found out that I knew Gabriel they decided that we would ask them over for dinner and Gabriels family agreed." Unfortunetly at that moment the bus came to a stop right at his house, he was so angry there was no way to invite himself to Tamaras house. He had to babysitt his little sister. He got even angrier when he looked over and saw Gabriels face, when his sister got home she knew that he had a bad day and just left him alone.
Tamara felt bad about the look of betrayal Todd had given her when he left the bus, she was thinking of a way to make it up to him when Gabriel interuppted her thoughts. "Wich house is yours?" "Oh it's the next stop." She was so exited that she could finally find out what Gabriel knew about magic and about the other witches he had met.
