CHAPTER ONE

THIS MONKEY TEN TIMES

My name is Mvuela (Voo-eh-luh) Cornerstone, twenty-five years old, and am the cutest African man from Zaire in Tucson.

I have curly revan hair and brown eyes. I wore a long-sleeved white sweater, a dark green army jacket, blue jeans, and protective boots.

I came to spend my vacation in the local town city within Vermont’s rainforest region with my European old friend Naomi with her brother Nathan Kings.

Not until I mistakenly errand into an unidentified snow-covered wasteland.

I mean, after I finish organizing my clean clothes in my luxurious marble chamber’s wardrobe.

All I want deep in my heart is to have a joyous vacation, not to quest into the unknown before experiencing a lifetime.

Even worse, when about to open the door of the wardrobe I was unable to.

In a few distances, I saw an unidentified golden billboard with glamorous bold words "Come to Wafalmes if you are lost"

Wafalme means Kings in Swahili, and the kingdom of the malevolent queen known as Nicole the Menace has been reigning over it for almost a hundred decades.

Nicole, ninety-nine and a half is a pious and highly knowledgeable noblewoman who was married by force by her parents.

Her high statute education led her to become the Queen of Menace and overwhelming racial rage, which is her position during the events of the massacre of all African villages to ashes in the north of Wafalme.

Nicole plunged the kingdom with her warlock into life-threatening snow across the deepest gloomy wasteland.

Wafalme used to be a natural forest.

Ever since I came here, I have been trapped here longer than I can remember.

Everything was perfect last night; I have been honored in a high-level way for seven years after working in a king named Nathan’s army.

He was one hundred ten, a.k.a. deceased without complaining faithfully for all my life.

Made enemies, old Nathan’s wife Nicole passionate have hatred for me because I was African, and few were my closest friends.

I have been the closest royal guard to the princess named Naama, eighteen, for seven years, Nathan’s twenty-seventh grandchild.

She is breathtaking, enchanting, and cutest, gorgeous, with amber brown eyes, wearing her long-sleeved white dress that reaches her thighs, and boots.

She has noir short curly hair, she is tiny and has a mixed red chestnut astonishing skin tone.

Naama silently came to my chamber when I was sound asleep, and I was forbidden by both Nathan and Nicole to never laid my peasant filth hands on their twenty-seventh grandchild.

Naama’s disobedience untangled me in boiling life-threatening hot water when she came into my chamber in the palace to have my child.

“Never, I cannot do such abominable action of adultery! Go away!” I shouted.

“And why not?” Naama asked.

“First, I am a commoner man who feared God. And second, I should not be supposed to land my hands or touch royal blood. It is forbidden for such a relationship, don’t you remember? Please, get out of my room,” I pleaded.

“Please, Mvuela Cornerstone. I love you so much. Please, be mine forever.” Naama pleaded.

“Forgive me. And I need you to get out of here.” I sighed.

“I am begging you to not dare run away from me. I would scream if you did such a thing.” Naama roared.

Naama grabbed my garment but with all my strength I was out of her grip.

In the process of trying to run away my swordsman’s inner white night garments ripped in half, but I was wearing my jeans.

After I escaped, I overheard Naama screaming at the top of her lungs when I went out of my room.

I ran for my life, defilement of the sin that is so great in the sight of my heavenly Father, but I heard shouting with the guards persuading me.

“Cornerstone untangled himself into a spicy situation. And there is nowhere he could run that could help him.” One of the pursuers laughed.

“Nabal. And that is no way to laugh at your fellow guard's downfall. Neither is Cornerstone capable of doing such an abomination act because it is a sin to his God.” Said the second guard.

Nabal, thirty years of age, is one of my enemies who had an overwhelming passionate hatred.

“His God my foot! And I just cannot wait to hold him in my hands. Cornerstones are full of himself. I mean as if he is better than everyone. Even her Eminence praised him for his highly skillful swordsman’s engagement arcs.” Nabal laughed.

“Just admit that you have been jealous of him ever since he arrived in Wafalme. No one even knows where he came from.” Nebuchadnezzar answered.

“Right, right. And who cares about that, all I am happy about is him getting himself into a worse scenario.” Nabal sighed.

“Nabal, have you done bickering? Christ Jesus, you are annoying. And I know Cornerstone very well because it is not capable of stepping so low to do an affair with a girl as is guard duty. I mean his responsibility to be Naama’s guard. And we all know that our Princess has eyes for that unfortunate innocent man. Most of all our malevolent queen discriminates against a chocolate skin tone man like him.” Nebuchadnezzar inhaled.

Nebuchadnezzar was in his forties. I was about to reach the deep gloomy woods, but guards surrounded me out of nowhere.

“Hold right there, guard boy. And what is this rumor am I hearing you having an affair with our Princess?” Harold mocked.

“I am innocent. And I have not done anything.” I answered.

“Right, right. Still, you are coming with us, Mvuela.” Herold chuckled.

“And we are only doing our duty.” Nebuchadnezzar interrupted.

All the rest of the guards bounced on me, and I found myself being dragged away in front of the queen of the Wafalme.

“Come on, my son, how dare you could do such an abomination under my nose? I took you under my palace. And made you responsible for my twenty-seventh grandchild's well-being! And so, this is what I get?” Nicole roared.

I was looking down at the marble ground in silence. I was waiting for the judgment that Nicole was going to oppose me.

In her rage, Her Majesty ordered some guards to bring her and whip that have thorny metal.

All the guards widened their eyes in horror after one of the guards brought the whip.

“Nebuchadnezzar!” Nicole called.

“Excellency. And I am listening carefully.” Nebuchadnezzar gulped.

“Take this. And whip this savage monkey ten times. That would teach him a lesson to never let his peasant hands on royalty. And why did I even stop getting rid of savage people like yourself? Guards!” Nicole answered.

“Majesty!” Guards said.

All the guards were impatiently waiting sadly for Nicole’s order regarding what to do with me.

CHAPTER TWO

 QUEEN MUST HEAR ABOUT THIS

Nebuchadnezzar was looking at me with repentance and remorse, but I looked at him without fear.

I overheard Nicole commanding her guards to do something life-threatening to me without remorse.

“Bind this incompetent imbecile with chains and locks, tie him onto that executioner pole, and whipped him unless he is unable to move. Am I understood?” Nicole ordered.

My eyes widened in shock at hearing such an order from the queen. Overwhelmed with rage as I glanced at Naama.

Neither could be silent no longer but overwhelmed with rage to speak my innocence.

“Please, majesty, I am an innocent man. Naama, please tell her. I have done no wrong, my princess! My queen! And you know that I am innocent. Never will I have done such abomination to my God! Haven't I served you faithfully? Um, protecting our Princess, without questioning? And this is what I get!” I roared.

Naama with her grandmother never see me such a savage act after I stopped my feet hard. It shocked them to the core.

“Off with you peasant!” Naama answered.

“Majesty, please. And you know that I can never do such a thing to betray you.” I pleaded.

My fellow guards dragged me away, bind me with metal locks and chains, and tied me to the pole.

Nebuchadnezzar was holding a whip trembling as he stared at me.

He looked at the Queen for a few moments while looking back at me whose face was overwhelmed with a sad expression.

“Nebuchadnezzar, what are you standing there like a statue?” Nicole shouted.

“Right. And forgiveness my old friend but I do believe that you are innocent. It is such an unfortunate thing for this to happen to you.” Nebuchadnezzar apologized.

“Not your fault. And please do us what you have been commanded to do Nebuchadnezzar. I must tell you right now all ever I wanted was to go home but the late king insisted I stay to be his grandchild's guard.” I said.

“He was an old friend of mine whom I thought to be a normal man, but I have no idea he was royalty,” I responded.

Nebuchadnezzar was overwhelmed with rage at the queen, but I looked at him with a nod. He had no choice but to whip me without holding back.

I wailed in pain while Nebuchadnezzar was overwhelmed with tears and my back was covered in a few inches of wounds.

My blood splattered all over his face.

I tasted the blood in my mouth because it was coming out of my mouth too.

All of them watched in horror as Nebuchadnezzar whipped me.

He was breathing very heavily, and how was inhaling my breath hard and could not even move.

Nicole was watching me screamed in pain with a satisfaction smirked on her face.

Naama could not even able to look at me because her eyes widened at the condition, I was in.

“Yahuwah. And what have I done? Still, why did I shout? Surely, Mvuela Cornerstone was innocent, but no.” Naama thought.

“Is everything all right Naama?” Nicole asked.

Nicole was staring at her twenty-seventh grandchild with worried eyes.

She was worried because her princess did not answer her question.

Naama's eyes focused on my condition.

Naama was focused on guilt as she looked at me wheezing in pain.

Nicole nudged her a little and she came back to her senses.

“Huh! Um, of course, I am fine.” Naama chuckled nervously.

Nabal with the other fellow guards came to unbuckle me and pulled me away as I breathed in pain in that early midnight.

I was taken deep into the gloomy woods.

Nabal laid my head hard on a tree stump Nebuchadnezzar raised his double edge sword to behead me.

He swung his sword to his right and beheaded the guards to the right.

He charged after Nabal when the innocent man collapsed to the floor as he screamed in agony.

He took charge after Nebuchadnezzar.

“And what is the meaning of this Neb?” Nabal roared.

“I am sure you know what I was supposed to do, old friend.” Nebuchadnezzar laughed.

“Queen must hear about this.” Nabal paused.

Nebuchadnezzar penetrates his two-edged sword into his chest.

Nabal collapsed to the floor and breathed his last.

Nebuchadnezzar was watching me losing a lot of blood from my wounds.

He did not have any choice but to attend to it after pulling me deep into the noir woods.

First, he wiped my wounds with alcohol and wiped my blood with that cloth and warm water.

After taking out the fire, he puts all alcohol again this time with herbs.

“Nebuchadnezzar, is that you?” Interfere the voice.

Nebuchadnezzar unleashed his two edges sword in rage against whosoever person dared interrupt him.

“Relax, I am only here to help you. And I trust Cornerstone.” Caleb answered.

“Caleb. And what are you doing here? As the Evil Devil Herself sent you to make sure if I have murdered Mvuela?” Nebuchadnezzar asked.

“Not at all. I was on my way here to stop you, but I can see you have slain your childhood best friend and Cain just for Cornerstone, right?” Caleb laughed.

“And I will do the same to you if you do not stop bickering.” He scolded.

“Right, right. And what should I do?” Caleb asked.

Nebuchadnezzar looked down at the unconscious me.

I was breathing with relaxation, then later glanced back at Caleb.

“Um-er, Caleb, I want you to take him out of Wafalme to my homeland far north where I was born. Though I was born in such a farmland region, it is extremely far from a life-threatening place like here.” Nebuchadnezzar responded.

“Excellent. And what are you going to do to convince Nicole that you have beheaded Cornerstone as she commanded you to do?” Caleb asked.

“No worry about that. I am sure that there is something I am going to do. And remember though I am from the noble family but make sure that Mvuela Cornerstone is being taken care of.” Nebuchadnezzar repeated.

“I will do just that. Please, would you just take care of yourself?” Caleb sighed.

“Perfect. And take care of yourself with Cornerstone too, understand?” Nebuchadnezzar replied.

Caleb came down from his horses, helped Nebuchadnezzar lift me, and gently put me into a comfortable two wheels hay carriage.

After that, they covered it with the thickest warm cover.

Caleb clams back onto his horse and rode away even deeper within the noir woods and was out of sight.

Nebuchadnezzar smashed his head hard on a huge oak tree trunk, bleeding on his forehead as he groaned in pain.

CHAPTER THREE

 MANCE HAS SPOKEN

He returned to the palace in time after marching into the hallway and into the throne room as Nicole sat on it.

Nebuchadnezzar. Would you mind telling me what happened to you, brother? And where is the head of that savage boy?Nicole asked.

He has murdered both Cain and Caleb. Attacking me by smashing my head on the oak tree drunk, took Caleb's horses, and ran out of my sight. I am the only one who escaped alive. Nebuchadnezzar gasped.

How dare he! And I wanted every guard to slay him whenever that incompetent imbecile savage gorilla is seen! I, Nicole the Menace have spoken! Nicole roared.

Nebuchadnezzar was laid away by two guards in his chamber, and the two doctors came to attend to the wounds on his forehead.

Morning came when the clouds and night sky became clear, Caleb and I arrived in Manhasset extremely far in the distance on the border of Wafalme. Neither is Nicole permitted to cross Manhasset nor her guards.

Caleb was riding slowly within the marketplace; he stopped at a huge wooden table where a girl with her grandmother was selling bread and fruits.

Please, Wafalme's guard. And I am begging you to not take my only income for my twenty-eighth grandchild and me,” said the old woman.

“No Mama, I am not here for your income. Still, not all Wafalme’s guards are evil, some are pure-hearted. Caleb sighed.

And what are you here then? She asked.

I am here to buy your bread and fruit turn for my ill friend and me. And we just escaped the Queen's rage because he tried to murder him though he is innocent! Caleb said.

Show him to me if you want me to believe. Mile scoffed.

Right, right. And I am going to show you. Caleb responded.

Got down from his horse, uncovering the thickest warm blankets covered in the hay, and both saw me sound asleep.

No way, no way. I cannot believe you kind of telling the truth, but is this the man you told me who is ill? She asked.

He is the one,” Caleb answered.

I see. And would you mind telling me what happened to him? The woman asked.

Um, the devil herself accused him of having an affair with her grandchild. Still, it was the way around. Nicole ordered her guards to bind him with locks and chains and whip him ten times. After that, Nicole commanded Nebuchadnezzar to behead him. And he is the one who whipped him, however, went against the queen’s order. Nebuchadnezzar murdered both the guards that went with him into the noir woods. Caleb explained.

No way. And how terrible, you are looking for a place to rest? Huh, I mean I have plenty of rooms to share. Would you mind telling me your names? She asked.

Caleb paused for a moment before answering her question.

She was patiently waiting for Caleb’s answered her question.

Caleb cleared his throat in shock about the old woman’s question.

His name is Mvuela Cornerstone. And I am Caleb. I would love to stay; I must return to Wafalme. I mean before Nicole would suspect.” Caleb responded.
