Not long ago in place just like this, there lived a princess. The princess’ name was Sapphire. Most of the time she sat staring out her window, wondering if anyone would ever love her. The reason she would wonder this was because to some people, she was not as pretty on the outside as all of the other princesses. Every prince that came called her ugly.
She had dark blue eyes that shone like sapphires, hence where she got her name. Her hair was like that of Rapunzel’s only shorter, just by a bit, and a lot more wavy. She was very skinny. Some people called her skinny mini. Sapphire, of course, found this very offensive. Every time they called her that she burst into tears. She did not like being called skinny mini.
Even though her life was full of sadness, she found all the pleasure she could possibly need was in the books she read. She found that books, unlike humans, were always there for her. Unless, of course, they got burnt, wet, or ripped. The princess’ books, even though they were 12 years old, looked brand new. This was because Sapphire would read them very carefully and would polish them 3 times a day.
She also found that she had a strange connection with nature. She thought it was because she loved how the birds sang such beautiful songs, and she would always clap for them. She also thought it was because she had a beautiful garden that all of the butterflies would tell their friends about. She loved nature, and in return it loved her back.
One day she woke up screaming because she could feel that something was wrong with nature. When she look out her window she saw that most of the forest she knew and loved was chopped down. She was so sad that she got dressed and ran outside. She asked the people to stop but they did not listen. That is when she snapped. She picked up a big branch and hit one of the workers in the head with it.
After that she had him and all of his crew tied up and in her basement. Then she started interrogating them. She asked them questions along the lines of, “Who’s your boss?” and, “What are you doing here?” The interrogation was actually quite annoying.
After interrogating the people Sapphire found out that it was a prince destroying the land to look for a unicorn. Sapphire thought this was very silly because there were no unicorns in her forest. After this she told the workers to tell their prince that unicorns were not in her forest. When they did not leave she yelled at them saying, “If you do not get off my lawn, I will tear you limb from limb!!!!” That really got the workers away from the princess. They thought that she was really bossy. What they did not know was that inside the princess was crying for her forest. It broke her heart to see it go.
The next day she had a terrible headache. When she looked out her window she saw more of her forest was gone. She had already been mad with the peopw who cut it down yesterday, so when she looked outside what did she see? She saw that half of the people who were here yesterday were back and at it again.
