Preface:
I don't go to school because there is a chance that people will find out that I'm no normal girl. I'm really a goddess. And it's my job to protect that secret from anyone and everyone. There are only 5 gods and goddesses in the world, and I just happen to be 1 of them. You don't become a goddess by being born one. The only way to become one, is to be chosen by the god or goddess before they die, and then you are stuck with their power for life and have to learn how to use it. Of corse, someone needs to know how to deal with us as kids when we make objects go flying across the room. So the god or goddess will tell both of the parents, and make sure they believe them, and tell them what to do as we grow up. Like making sure we practice our powers every day, to be near what makes our power strongest, and to never tell anyone what and who we are. We are born with knowledge, so we don't have to go to school, and let out our secret. But we are still aloud to see other people and talk to them. The 5 gods and goddesses all the powers of the elements. There is earth, which is always a boy, water, which is always a girl, fire, which is always, and air, and that's always a girl. The last one is the goddess of nature. And that's always a girl. And guess what? I'm the goddess for nature. That means I have extra power, and can use all the elements. Now I'm 14 years old, and have perfected every power I have. All I do is practice, but to tell ya the truth it's really fun to practice my powers.-The chapters switch sometimes from who is telling the story, and I have written the name of the person who is telling it next to the chapter.-

Chapter 1; A devil, or a goddess? Jesse.

I walked in an empty plain of grass faraway from the city, but not too far by car. I'm the god of fire, 14 years old and quite powerful and great at using my powers. As I walked I saw a girl walking In the center of a small hill that bumped up a little. She looked up into the sky, when suddenly, it started raining. The forecast never said anything g about rain. It was supposed to be sunny all week. My favorite weather. I hate water and that means I hate rain. What surprised me even more was that she was dressed perfectly for a rainy day. She wore pink polka dotted rain boots and a purple rain coat with the hood up.
Immediately I assumed that she was an evil spirit. I made the sun evaporate the clouds and water and shot fire at her. "AHHH" she screamed in pain. I suddenly felt bad because she was human. I was so worried that it had killed I ran up to her and lifted her off the ground in my arms, when I saw that she wasn't dead at all. And a blast of fire that big would have killed anyone. Then it hit me, she was a goddess. That's the only way she could have survived. I looked at her face only to get lost in a deep sea of beautiful green eyes staring right at me. "I, I, I," I said, lost for words. "How did you do that." she said staring at me while still in my arms. I could feel the warmth of her body as I wanted to kiss her, and didn't want to let her go. I knew she wanted the same.
"How did you do that?" she asked again. "How did you make it rain suddenly?" I asked back hoping I didn't have to answer her question. "I'm the goddess of nature she said reluctantly. Stunned and without thinking, I replied to her first asked question. "I'm the god of fire." As soon as I said that, I wasn't to worried about her knowing. I mean were both gods, so it's fine. Isn't it? My instincts told me to go with it and I did.
I looked at her arm and saw a burn mark there. I put my hand on the burn and cradled her arm along with her body as I leaned down and kissed her. She didn't back away, but put more passion into the kiss. Our lips fused and I pressed my body against hers and kissed more. She pulled away suddenly and was hurt. Shocked and confused I asked "What's wrong!?" "Your hands lit on fire as we kissed and burned me more." I looked at my hands and it was true. They were hot and a little red. I had her again. I felt like the worst person in the world. She picked up a bottle of water that she had next to her and opened it. With her mind she moved the water in a bubble shape in the air onto her arm. The burn mark started to glow
and faded to leave perfect tan skin in the place where the burn had been. "Wow" I said dumb founded by her healing power. "I wished I could do that every time I got hurt. "Yeah" she said in a musical voice "I'm really lucky to have that power. I laid down next to her, letting her go, and saw her frown. I then scooted super close to her with us touching all along both of our sides. I turned my head to look at her and she looked at me, now smiling by the closeness. We both leaned on towards each other and our lips locked, and stayed there for what seemed like forever. And forever was good with me.
"I need to go." she said while frowning. "At least tell me your name before you go." I told her frowning. "Nell." she said in a voice worth more than diamonds. "Jesse" I said to her. "I like your name" "I love yours" I said to Nell while leaning in about to kiss her again. She got up before our lips could touch and made a wind tornado that was just about 5 feet 11". She moved the tornado close to her and I immediately got worried. To my surprise she walked into the tornado and it carried her. 'That must be how she travels.' I thought to my self. "Wanna meet me here tomorrow at 10:00?" I asked, desperate to see her face again. "That sounds nice." she said smiling. I couldn't help but smile all the same. She closed her hand into a tight fist and then opened it super fast. The tornado grew up her body and she was lost in the wind of the tornado. The wind died down and she was gone. I walked away still smiling. "Nell. She must be super powerful being able to use all the elements." I day dreamed about seeing her again. I thought about hold perfect she was. With hour glass curves, bright pink lips, and deep green eyes. I went home with these thoughts in my head the whole time, as it started to rain. This time, the rain didn't bother me as I knew that it was Nell making the rain.

Chapter 2; A Hopeless Emotion Battle; Nell

When I got my house in the city, I ran into my room and jumped on my bed. As I glanced at my alarm clock, I saw that it was 6:47. "How long was I practicing my powers in the field?" I asked in wonder. 'How long was I with Jesse?' I thought the question in my head. I really wanted to see Jesse again, but I wasn't sure if I should go for the fear that he didn't love me or want me the way I wanted him. But I knew I had nothing to fear to fear by the way he kissed me. Still a part of me wanted to stay away from Jesse. His hands had caught on fire and hurt me. The again I healed but I wanted to make sure his powers were in check when he was near me. I saw how I made him feel being in his arms.
Trying to take my mind off of Jesse, I walked over to my iPad and turned it on, and checked the weather report for any suspicions of the unscheduled rain I caused. So far, there were no problems. But as I checked the weather for other parts of the country, outside of California where I live, I saw that there were tornados in Organ all along the coast. About 4 in all. That meant that there's a devil in Organ.
I know what you're thinking when I say devil, but you got it all wrong! There are 100 devils in the world. They all look like humans, and try to kill as much life as they can. It is the job of the 5 gods and goddesses to kill the devils before they can destroy more. But it's too hard to do it alone. The last tornado that started in Organ was along one of their most famous beaches. So that's where the devil must be now.
If they are to hard to kill alone, then I will need another god. Immediately I thought of Jesse. I started to think of how I will spend time with him, and tell him of the plan I had to kill the devil. "Now I just need to get him to agree with me." and doing that couldn't be too hard. I'm pretty sure he would agree to do anything I wanted. Even see a cheesy chick flick just to kiss me. Who am I kidding even I would do that if it was just to kiss him.
I glanced at my clock. 10:00 it read. 'I must have been thinking for a long time.' I thought to my self. After I got ready for bed I tuned off my iPad and got into bed. Then I fell into the deepest sleep I've had in a long time. Dreaming of bright blue eyes and fire.

Chapter 3; Can't see you, Nell

I got up and did everything as if it was any noral day. As I brushed my teeth, I remembered that I was going to the grass plain to see Jesse. My heart jumped, and skipped a beat before it almost was beating at normal speed. I looked in the mirror, seeing if there was anything I had to improve about how I looked.
Of corse, there were many things that I needed to fix. My hair looked as if a hawk had gotten the best of it, and I had that disgusting morning taste in my mouth, making my breath bad. I quickly washed my mouth and brushed my hair as fast as a jaguar could run, ripping out some parts of hair along the way, leaving my scalp in pain. I ignored the pain as I knew it would heal as soon as the shower water hit me. I took my shower and got out, feeling butterflies in my stomach. I tried to suppress the nervousness, hoping my parents wouldn't notice me being so jumpy.
I walked downstairs to the kitchen and saw my mom at the stove, cooking what smelled like french toast, and my dad sitting at the table reading the paper. My mom had long brown hair, just like me, with blue eyes, rather than green. My dad however had black hair and green eyes, skinny, muscular, and tall. Very, very, tall.
"Good morning mom, dad." I smiled for reasons other than to see them. My dad set down the paper and looked at me. "'Morning Nell. Who's my little maple leaf?" "I am." I said. Thats right, my dad nicknamed me after a leaf. He thought it was funny considering that I'm the goddess of nature. I just go with it. My mom turned around, and like all moms, she noticed my jumpiness.
