“Nice day, huh?”
“Yup. I like the sun shine.”
“Remember when Robbie played with us in the yard?”
“Yeah. I miss those days, especially when he’d toss it high in the air and I’d catch it every time.”
“What do you think he’s doin’ now?”
“College stuff; you know studyin’.”
“Think he misses us?”
“Sure. We’re his best friends. He’ll be home for Christmas.”
“Think he’ll want to hang around with us?”
“Why not?”
“Boy, I miss him.”
“Me too.”
“Wanna see if Mom’ll take us for a walk around the neighborhood?”
“Okay. I get the red leash this time.”
