Chapter 1

Caitlyn Forbes closed her eyes tightly, and tried to blank out the noise of her fellow students coursing a riot in the small classroom.
This had been the fifth day of her feeling so tired that she could sleep while standing up; at it was really getting on her nerves.
“I would wake up if I was you” Natalie Anderson said, nudging Caitlyn in the arm. “From what I have heard, the head teacher Mr. Brown will be coming in to check on the class, been as Dante Costa nearly smashed a window with that football of his.”
Caitlyn blushed at the thought of Dante, as she remembered what had happened five weeks before.
It had been Dante sixteenth birthday party, and Caitlyn had come along to the party with her friends to only be left in the corner of the room on her own. After an hour of being left alone, she had become completely drunk from drinking anything that she could get her hands on. That was when Dante had started flirting with her, and before she knew it they were in his room getting hot and sweaty.
Looking back, Caitlyn wasn’t proud of her behavior, no sensible girl would want to loose her virginity at the age of only fifteen years of age, and it was mortifying. Luckily enough for her, Dante hadn’t seemed to tell anyone about what had happened. But every time she looked at her, he seemed to be looking back with a big grin on his face.
“I don’t care what Mr. Brown thinks” Caitlyn snapped crankily “for all I care he can go such himself!”
Opening her eyes again, she saw that Natalie look at her with a shocked expression.
“What’s wrong with you?” Natalie asked in a small voice.
Caitlyn sighed “I’m just really tired.” She told her friend “and for some reason I keep on needing the toilet.”
Natalie frowned “you probably just have a weak bladder” Natalie decided “and as for the sleep problem, it’s probably because you don’t go to sleep until midnight. I on the other hand never get tired because I go to bed at nine o’clock sharp.”
Caitlyn hated it when Natalie compared there lives. Caitlyn had to stay up late to be able to make sure that her older brother got home without waking up their parents with one of his drunken ranting; Compared to that Natalie had the easy life.
Just then as expected, Mr. Brown walked into the classroom looking like he thought that he owned the place, but in this case he actually did!
That was the problem with the schools in the west midlands, England; the teachers were all walk but no talk. That was probably the reason why the entire student in Grace Academy Darlaston could walk all over the teachers and not get punished.
“I expect for you to behave for Mrs. Smith.” He shouted over the students “or I will have to give detentions out to anyone who misbehaves!”
“He is such an idiota if he thinks anyone would turn up for detention” Caitlyn heard from behind her.
She turned around to find Dante sitting on the table behind her.
“You can say that again” Natalie said with a bright smile, not noticing that Caitlyn had turned bright red in the face.
Dante was a tall boy for his age, with curly black hair that was always trying to cover his eyes. He had broad shoulders, and the most incredible smile that Caitlyn had ever saw in her entire life. His light brown eyes just called out for mischief to come to him.
“Hello Dante” she said, twisting a piece of her wavy brown hair that had escaped its loose bun at the back of her head.
Dante gave Caitlyn a wicked smile “hello bello.”
Dante had moved from Italy the year before, and his thick accent and Italian words made Caitlyn nearly always wanted to burst out in girlie giggles.
“Caitlyn and I are wagging next lesson to go to that café everyone likes in Walsall” Natalie informed Dante “you can come if you want.”
Please, please don’t want to come, Caitlyn silently begged with her eyes.
Dante smiled happily “I would love to go with you two ragazze.”
“Why don’t you invite some of your friends.” Caitlyn suggested, giving Dante the evil eyes “we could turn it into a party.”
“Oh, why would I do that?’ Dante asked with I grin “I don’t think a want to share you two with any of my banda.”
There wouldn’t be any kind of sharing if it was up to Caitlyn, she had been with Dante and she wasn’t planning on going back.
Just then the loud bell for end of lesson rang through the room, echoing in Caitlyn’s ears.
It looked like it was time to put Caitlyn’s detest into action.

Chapter 2

When they got to the Café, Caitlyn felt like she was starving to death.
She ended up ordering a tuna mayonnaise sandwich, her favorite meal.
“You look tired angelo” Dante commented, giving Caitlyn a concerned look.
Caitlyn shrugged “that’s probably because I am tired.”
“From staying up to long” Natalie added, looking angry for not being involved into the conversation.
“I have responsibilities” Caitlyn defended herself “unlike some people I can’t just put everything down and go to sleep.”
Natalie looked offended “do you really think I am that shallow?” she asked in disbelief.
“I didn’t mean it in that way and you know it” Caitlyn snapped.
“Calm down donne.” Dante said, putting a hand in Caitlyn’s shoulder.
Jealously shone through Natalie’s eyes, but Caitlyn didn’t care but she was far too angry.
Before Caitlyn had the chance to make the situation even worse, their food finally arrived.
But when she looked down at her sandwich, nausea hit Caitlyn like a bullet to the head.
Putting her hand over her mouth, Caitlyn ran as fast as she could to the girls’ toilets.
Behind her she could her friends shouting to see what was wrong with her, but all she could focus on was to get to the toilet before she could sick all over the laminated flooring.
As soon as she reached the toilet, puke bumped out of her mouth, living a bitter taste in her mouth.
She could distinctly feel someone move her loose hair away from her mouth to stop it from getting covered in sick.
Just as she thought she was finished, another hit of nausea came again because of the strong smell of sick around her.
Looking up, she saw that it had been Dante that had held her hair.
“You shouldn’t be in here” she croaked “this is strictly girls only area!”
“The workers were more than happy to let me in here when they heard you puking your guts out” Dante said with a small shrug, but his eyes showing his true concern for her.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me” Caitlyn suddenly cried, tears rolling down her cheeks like a small waterfall.
Dante bent down next to Caitlyn, and stroked her hair “your probably just having an off day ragazza, it will probably pass by tomorrow.”
She knew it wasn’t true, but Caitlyn wasn’t in the mood to have an argument with him about it.
“Where is Natalie?” Caitlyn asked abruptly.
“She said she was sick of you getting ill, so she went out to make you a doctor’s appointment.” Dante told her “Apparently she wants you to have a blood test or something to make sure you are all fit and healthy.”
That sounded a lot like something Natalie would do, so Caitlyn didn’t even bother to try to question Dante’s answer.
“I should be getting home.” Caitlyn said, slowly standing up.
“I will drive you” Dante said, helping Caitlyn up onto her feet.
Caitlyn silently nodded, and silently hoped that her fighting spark would kick in soon so she could tell him that she was perfectly fine with walking on her won.
When they got into the car, Caitlyn was happy for the sudden warmth.
As soon as Dante got in though, she was suddenly engulfed with his sent, making her tense with unease.
As much as she hated to admit it, she really did have the biggest crush on him possible; she just wished that it would go away soon.
She closed her eyes, and slowly sent into a dream about what it would be like if Dante felt the same way for her, as she had done for him.

Chapter 3

When Caitlyn woke up, she was sure that she wasn’t in the car, but the fact that she was lying down was enough proof for her.
Sitting up, she saw that she was in her own room, in her own bed.
Her room was large, with lots of room for her to move around. Everything was pink and fluffy been as she hadn’t had chance to have it redecorated since she had been eleven years of age.
She slowly got out of bed, and wobbled into her own private bathroom.
When she saw her reflection in the mirror, she let out an unhappy groan.
Her mascara had smudged all around her big brown eyes, and her pale skin was all flushed.
Stepping into the shower, she allowed the water to wash away all her problems for a few moments.
Once she finished washing, she stepped out of the shower to realize that she didn’t have towel with her.
“Do you want this” a male voice down.
Caitlyn jumped, and turned to find Dante holding out a towel to her.
“Don’t you ever knock?” Caitlyn asked angrily, snatching the towel from him to cover herself up.
Dante shrugged “normally I would knock, but I have already saw you naked once ragazza.” He told her
“I would have said knock next time” Caitlyn said “but there won’t ever be a next time!”
“That’s only your opinion” Dante detested with a large grin on his olive colored face.
“It’s not only my opinion” she retorted “it is the honest truth.”
“For now” he told her, before leaving the bathroom.
Caitlyn stood still for a moment, letting what he said sink into her brain.
“Hey, not just for now” she shouted, and ran out of the room after him.
When she found him, he was in the kitchen, sipping something that looked a lot like Caitlyn’s father’s scotch.
“You will never see me naked again” she told him “not now, not ever!”
Dante put down the glass “if that is what you think, then believe it” he said “there in no point in arguing with me. But inside you know that you are sbagliato.”
“In English please” she said, putting her hands on her hips.
“You are wrong” he told her with a sigh “you just won’t admit it.”
Right then Caitlyn wanted to slap Dante for his ignorance, how dare the think that she would be so quick to take her clothes of for him…again!
Taking a deep breath, Caitlyn smiled at Dante “I should go get changed, my parents could be back at any moment” she said to him.
She quickly walked to her room, not wanting to here one of Dante’s sarcastic replies.
Caitlyn took her time putting on some leggings and a tank top; she wanted preserve as much time as possible before having to talk to Dante again.
Once she was completely dressed, she went back down stairs and froze in place.
She could hear more than one voice coming from the living room.
Opening the door, Caitlyn relaxed to find Dante and Natalie watching the television.
“You two look happy.” Caitlyn commented, taking a seat next to Natalie on the sofa.
“That’s because we are happy” Natalie said “I have gotten you an appointment to see doctor Noel for tomorrow morning, so we will be able to get to school in tome before anyone can get suspicious.”
That was one of the strange things about Natalie, she liked to skip lessons but she had to go to at least one to stop her from feeling paranoid. She thought that as long as she went to one lesson she wouldn’t be able to get into trouble with her parents.
After a few minutes of silence, both Natalie and Dante made an excuse for them to leave.
Caitlyn didn’t like to be alone for long, but as luck had it, her mother came home only half an hour after.
She just hoped that she could be as cheerful as her mother was when she saw the doctor the day after.

Chapter 4

Waiting in the waiting room was like hell for Caitlyn.
She had never been the good at patience, but having to wait to see a doctor for over an hour was pushing it a little bit.
“I’m going to die of boredom.” Natalie complained, seating herself down next to Caitlyn.
“At least you aren’t the one that has to go see the doctor” Caitlyn muttered, plucking at her knee-length navy blue skirt.
“I think Dante wanted to come with us” Natalie told her “but I told him that I didn’t think that was a good idea.”
Caitlyn was happy that her friend told him not to come; she might have finally blurted out to Natalie that she had slept with him, which would have wrecked their friendship completely.
They had made a packed when they were thirteen that none of the girls would have sex until both girl had gotten married, so Natalie would be raging mad been as she had had to turn down her boyfriend so many times. Well, ex-boyfriend been as he had left her because he thought she was being to up-tight.
Caitlyn jumped in shock when her name finally came loudly through the speakers.
“Good luck babes” Natalie said, giving Caitlyn a hug.
“Thank you.” Caitlyn whispered, before heading to the doctor Noel’s office.
She knocked the door, and when she heard someone from in side say “come in” she quickly opened the door and stepped inside.
Doctor Noel was an old looking woman, with graying hair, and wrinkling pale skin.
“I haven’t seen you in over a year Caitlyn Forbes.” The doctor said in a sweet sounding voice “so what is the problem you have dear.”
Caitlyn took a seat at the opposite side of the table to the doctor.
“I have been feeling tired a lot” she began “and yesterday I took one look at my lunch and I was puking up my breakfast.”
Doctor Noel smiled “it probably isn’t anything to worry about” she said “but to be sure I will need a blood test to run some blood test.”
When the doctor got out a needle, Caitlyn put her arm out and looked away.
She had the worst phobia of blood possible; she nearly fainted when her brother had cut his knee the week before.
When she felt a small prick in her arm, she tightly closed her eyes.
“All done” Doctor Noel said kindly.
When she opened her eyes again, Caitlyn avoided looking at the needle tube full of her blood.
“Press this to the cut” the doctor said, handing Caitlyn a cotton ball.
“Thank you” Caitlyn said as she pressed the cotton ball tightly to her bleeding arm.
“Don’t thank me” the doctor commanded “all I did was doing my job. You may go now Caitlyn, I will call you tomorrow to give you the results of the blood test.”
Caitlyn stood up, and quickly rushed out of the room, not wanting to waste another second of the kind doctor’s time.
“So how did it go?” Natalie asked, as soon as Caitlyn stepped out of the doctor’s office.
“She said she will call me tomorrow to tell me the blood test results.” Caitlyn told her, walking towards the entry, she couldn’t wait one more minute to get out of this place.
Natalie winced “that must me horrible with you phobia and stuff.” She said.
“Shall we go straight to school” Caitlyn suggested, not wanting to talk about blood.
Just then nausea exploded inside her.
“I think I am going to be sick.” She whispered, and ran quickly to the toilets.

Chapter 5

After over ten minutes of being sick, they finally got the hell out of the hospital.
But instead of going to school, they had decided to go to the park to get some fresh air.
As she sat on a swing, Caitlyn realized that this was one of the only times in her life that she had series problems in her life that actually involved her.
Her brothers drinking problems wasn’t her problem, but whatever illness that she had was her problem…and no one else’s!
“We should do this more often” Natalie suddenly said out of the blue “just sit here, and relax. It’s like the only chance I ever get to just listen to my own thoughts.”
“I think so to” Caitlyn agreed.
The only time she ever had peace and quiet was when she was going to sleep and night, and some times she never got that because her drunken brother made far much to noise for her to be able to sleep!
“I have a confession” Natalie admitted “I invited John Jones and Jason here.”
John was one of the people that Natalie had had a crush on, and Jason was Natalie’s older brother.
“Why are you doing this to me?” Caitlyn groaned.
Caitlyn had always thought that John was an idiot because of the way that he strutted around making out that he ruled the world and everything on it.
“You don’t have to talk to John” Natalie said with a sigh “you can talk to Jason; you know that he fancies you.”
Caitlyn shook her head “no way Natalie. No way am I going to flirt with your brother so you and hit on John.”
“Just this once” Natalie begged “I really like him Caitlyn!”
“How can you like him?” Caitlyn asked in discussed “he is a selfish little ba-”
“Don’t even bother calling him that” Natalie interrupted “he just speaks his mind, and you aren’t used to people like that.”
Caitlyn rolled her eyes “he’s a jerk Natalie, a big fat jerk” she told her “and I hope that you will just figure it out.”
Natalie have her the puppy eyes “please Caitlyn; you don’t know how much I like him. Every time I see him my stomach just knots up, and my heart starts to flutter like a butterfly taking flight or something.” She pleaded “and I promise you that I will help you if you ever fall for a bloke. Oh, and I will owe you big time!”
Caitlyn talk a deep breath. “Do I even have any say in it?” she asked her.
Natalie grinned “not at all” she said, before putting to where the two boys were walking towards them.

Chapter 6

“Hello ladies” John said, in his ridicules flirty voice.
Caitlyn’s stomach turned with disgust “nice to see you John” Caitlyn said sarcastically.
Before he could respond, she turned to Jason and smiled.
“Hello Jason” she said, giving him a hug.
To might not fancy Jason, but to her he would always be like a big brother.
“How are you?” he asked her, with a concerned expression.
It seemed like Natalie had told him about her seeing the doctor then.
Caitlyn shrugged “I’m okay, a little queasy but okay.”
“she’s lying” Natalie told him “she was sick before we could even live the doctor’s building, at one point I thought that she was going to puke up all her insides.”
Caitlyn winced “it stunk like hell” she admitted reluctantly.
Natalie laughed “that was an understatement” she said.
“I’m glad I didn’t come then” John said, trying to be involved in the conversation.
Caitlyn doubted that he was even invited along, and if he was she would have refused to go. He really did annoy her to that extent.
“When are you going to find out what is wrong with you?” Jason asked, clearly changing the subject when he saw the angry expression on Caitlyn’s face.
“Look at you being all caring” John joked, patting Jason in his fiery red hair.
Caitlyn ignored John’s comment, and said to Jason “the doctor said that she will call me tomorrow, so all I can do is sit around and hope that it is going to be some good news.”
“That’s good” Jason said, slowly nodding. “From what I have heard, bad news usually takes much longer.”
Caitlyn hoped that he was right; she wouldn’t know what to do if it was a really bad piece of new, and how on earth would she be able to tell her parents anything bad while they had to worry about her brother?
“I’m sure it’s probably just something small” Natalie said “if it was bad she would have probably noticed something straight away.”
Caitlyn should have told her friend that doctors weren’t magical beings that could tell peoples illnesses by just glimpsing at them, but she decided against it. She didn’t want her friend worrying about something that she hoped was nothing.
Just then Natalie looked at her watch, and then stood up abruptly.
“Time has really passed quickly” she said “we need to get you home Caitlyn. Your parents will be home in less than half an hour.”
When her parents had noticed that she looked under the weather, they had instructed her to not go to school, and spend the day in bed.
But been as she had had a doctor’s appointment, she had to disobey her parents’ instructions, but it didn’t mean that they had to know about it. In her opinion, the less they knew about what was happening, the better!
Caitlyn got up from the swing, and gave Jason a tight hug.
“I will see you boys later” she said, and followed Natalie out of the park.
When she got home she was relieved to see that her parents hadn’t gotten hope yet.

Chapter 7

The next day Caitlyn went to school as normal, and tried to pretended that the day before had never even happened, Which didn’t turn out well when Dante sat next to her in one of her lessons, and asked “what the inferno happened yesterday?”
Caitlyn sighed and turned in her chair to face him.
“The doctor is going to call me today.” She told him “and I would appreciate it if you kept your voice down, I don’t want the whole school knowing about my personal health problems, thank you very much!”
“Tell me when you know what’s happening then” he said.
Caitlyn frowned “why would you want to know about my health?” she asked him.
Dante shrugged “I thought that we are friends, and don’t friends tell each other things like that.”
“We can’t be friends Dante” she hissed “we slept together for God’s sake!”
That made him grin “I think that is more of a reason to be friends, it means that we know each other more than any one else in the world does.”
“That’s so not true” Caitlyn snorted “for all I know you could have slept with tons of women before me.”
“Do you really think of me as such a player bellezza?” he asked, sounding very offended.
Caitlyn felt suddenly guilty, she shouldn’t have said them harsh words. She didn’t honestly think that he was the type of person that slept with anything that moved or had breasts.
“I’m sorry” she said, and gave him one of her best smiles “do you forgive me?”
A grin suddenly appeared on his face “of course I forgive you, that’s what friends are for, to forgive each another.”
Caitlyn looked down at her hands “why are you really caring for me?”
Dante let out a deep breath “I honestly don’t know” he admitted “and that scares me half to death!”
To be honest it scared her half to death as well. How was she be able to have a normal friendship with him, when she knew that she had all these deep feelings for him that she would never be able to express properly? For all she knew, if she kept her feelings locked away, she would end up torturing herself to death with them!
Looking up at him she asked “do you think we can actually be friends?”
“I’m sure we could be good friends” he told her, and gave her a big smile “that is if we don’t end up killing each other with hatred once we figure out how different we are to each other.”
Caitlyn frowned “we aren’t that different” she said “we both know what we want, and we both won’t stop for nothing until we get it.”
They both also loved him, but Caitlyn didn’t think that it would have been a good idea to say that. Telling him how she felt would have seriously made an awkward spark on their newly founded friendship.
Caitlyn looked around to find that it was the end of the lesson.
She stood up, and smiled down at the frowning Dante.
“I will see you later” she said to him, and slowly walked away from him, whishing that she had had the confidence to tell him how she felt about him.
We can all wish, Caitlyn thought angrily. But it doesn’t mean that our wished will actually come true.
Shaking her head, Caitlyn mentally kicked herself for having such weird and wacky thoughts.

Chapter 10

Caitlyn was surprised when the call came exactly as she was entering the school yard at lunch break.
“Hello, this is Doctor Noel” the familiar voice said through the phone.
“Hello doctor Noel” Caitlyn said anxiously “have you got the results from the blood test yet.”
“Oh yes” the doctor said happily.
Caitlyn felt a small relief when she heard that the doctor’s voice still sounded happy.
No one could give bad news is such a merry voice, could they?
“You don’t have any kind of disease” the doctor told her “and from what I can tell, you have no illness at all.”
That made Caitlyn frown, of course she had an illness, why else would she be puking her guts out all the time, and feeling so tired twenty four hours a day, seven days a week?
“So what is the problem doctor” Caitlyn asked her, her voice showing her puzzlement.
At that moment she thought that it might have been a good idea for her to get a different doctor, and report this one for being so careless.
“You may want to be sitting down for this news” the doctor said “it may come as a big shock to you.”
Caitlyn walked up to one of the outside benched on the field, and sat down.
“I’m now sitting down” she told the doctor.
“I have never had to say this to someone as young as you” the doctor admitted “so I am just going to come out and say it, congratulations Caitlyn Forbes, you are five weeks pregnant.”
Caitlyn felt like the whole world had suddenly paused around her.
Pregnant, she thought. How could I be pregnant if I have only ever done it once?
It was then that she realized that they hadn’t used any form of protection.
“Are you absolutely sure?” she stuttered “is there any chance that you are wrong.”
“I am positive” the doctor said calmly “you are certainly pregnant.”
A single tear rolled down her face.
The worst thing was, it all made sense; pregnancy explained why she was so tired and was puking up all the time, She just never though that it would have been the right explanation though.
“I should be going” Caitlyn said, and disconnected the call before the doctor had chance to respond.
Out of all the irresponsible things that she had ever done, getting pregnant had been the worst.
What was she supposed to do, she didn’t believe in getting abortions, but she didn’t think it would be a good idea that she should look after a new born baby at the age of only fifteen. Even in a few weeks when she became sixteen, that would probably be to young as well. And what would Dante think about it, how on earth would he react when he found out that he was soon to become a teenage father?
Closing her eyes, Caitlyn took a deep breath.
She didn’t even know how to tell Dante that she was pregnant, what was she supposed to do, go up to him and say “oh by the way I’ pregnant and you’re the father”?
Just the Natalie ran up to her with a smile of her face.
“Who was that on the phone” she asked “was it the doctor, what did she say?”
“She said it was a stomach bug” She lied “it will pass soon.”
“That’s good” Natalie said, sounding relived “I thought it might be something life changing.”
If only you knew, Caitlyn thought with a sigh.

Chapter 11

When Caitlyn got home, the first thing she did was run into her private bathroom and locked the door.
Looking in the body length mirror, Caitlyn pulled up her shirt to reveal her stomach.
She had actually gained weight, she noted, but she had always thought that it was because had been a little lazier than she usually was.
As she touched her belly, it suddenly hit her that there was an embryo growing inside her body.
She was actually going to give birth to a baby, with cute little fingers and toes!
It wasn’t going to be like when she was baby-sitting for her relatives, it was going to be a full time job.
Caitlyn had never even thought of having children, it had always been a subject that she would shy away from and just hope fore the best in the future. She didn’t even know how to look after a baby properly, and from what she had seen it seemed like a pretty hard thing to be able to handle. How would she be able to cope with feeding the baby, changing the baby’s nappy and many other things while still going to school? It didn’t seem possible!
The worst thing was, she was going to be one of them single teenage mothers who people whisper about and make fun of just because she didn’t have a real relationship with a father figure. But when she thought about the happiness that she would be able to bring into the little persons life, what other people thought didn’t even matter to her.
Taking out her phone, Caitlyn messaged Dante to meet her in half an hour at the field at the back of her house. She knew that she would have to tell him the truth, and there was never any better time than the presence.
She knew that Dante probably wouldn’t react well to her being pregnant, and he would probably try to get her to have an abortion as soon as possible, so she would probably have to be persistent with him so he would know that there was no chance in a million years that she would ever have an abortion. And if I went well and he chose to become a real father, she wouldn’t deny his right to be able to see the baby whenever he wanted to.
When she felt her phone vibrate, she looked at it to find that Dante had agreed to meet her in half an hour.
Taking a shaky deep breath, Caitlyn forced herself to stand up straight.
Looking down at her stomach again, she smiled.
She was going to be a mother, and no one could ever change that!

Chapter 12

By the time Caitlyn got into the field, Dante was already waiting for her.
When she saw him, she gave him a weak smile.
“What’s wrong ragazza?” he asked her “is everything fine? I tried to get Natalie to tell me what happened with the doctor, but she refused to tell me a thing!”
Thank god for Natalie then!
“I have something to tell you” Caitlyn said when she finally spoke “and you are probably not going to like it one little bit.”
Dante frowned “what on earth could you tell me that would make you look so scared of me?” he asked suspiciously.
Caitlyn took a deep breath “I’m having a baby Dante” she told him “I’m pregnant.”
He stood still for a moment, as if he didn’t understand what she had just told him.
“How is that possible?” he said “that can’t be true!”
Tears ran down Caitlyn’s cheeks “it’s true Dante, I really am pregnant!”
Dante eyes widened “am I the father Angelo?” he asked her.
Caitlyn slowly nodded “yes you are the father” she said, then quickly said “but you don’t have to take any responsibility if you don’t want to, I’m not going to push you into something you don’t want to do.”
Dante laughed “what kind of person do you think I am?” he asked her “of course I am going to be involved Caitlyn, I’m going to be a father for God’s sake!”
Caitlyn winced at his words “that is up for you to decide Dante, like I just said no pressure on you.”
“I’m going to be a dad” he said, looking into the distance “a child is going to call me daddy!”
Caitlyn tried to feel sorry for him, but she just couldn’t.
If he didn’t want to be a father, he should have thought of that before he slept with her, it takes two to tango.
“I’m going to go now” Caitlyn said when she realized how dark and cold it was getting “just think about what I have said please.”
Dante nodded “I promise” he told her.
Caitlyn smiled, and slowly walked of.
She felt like some weight had come of her shoulders by telling Dante the truth.
It was one less person that she needed to tell about the pregnancy.
She just hoped that everyone else would react as well as Dante had with the baby news.

Chapter 13

As morning came the next day, sickness came as well.
After spending half an hour on trying to hide the fact that she had been sick, Caitlyn walked down stairs to find her mother cooking up a full English breakfast.
Caitlyn realized then she was hungry as she had ever been, and nodded eagerly when her mother offered to cook her something up.
“Your acting weird today” her mother said suspiciously “is there something wrong honey?”
Caitlyn gulped down a big lump that was stuck in her throat.
“I have to tell you and dad something” she rushed “but not now, maybe later.”
She didn’t want have to tell her parents one at a time, it would probably be simpler if they were together so she wouldn’t have to deal with two lectures about how irresponsible she had been, and how stupid she was for getting herself pregnant.
The only good thing with her parents was that they would never ask her to get an abortion; they believed that if someone got pregnant they had to deal with the consequences.
“Okay darling” her mother said, clueless about what was going on “I’ll try to get your father to come home early from work if you wanted to.”
Caitlyn nodded, the sooner she told them the better.
When her breakfast hit the table, Caitlyn near enough breathed in the food without chewing.
“You really should be careful how you are eating” her mother said “I see that you have gained weight.
Caitlyn wished that it was as simple as just watching what she was eating, but alas it would never be that simple.
“Mother” Caitlyn said slowly “do you ever regret having children?”
Her mother laughed “honey, having you and your brother was the best thing that ever happened to me, it was a blessing from the angels in my opinion.”
Caitlyn didn’t think her mother would feel that way when she found out what was happening she might even kick Caitlyn out of the house!
Caitlyn had one lat bite of her breakfast then said “if you could have had children later in life, would you have?”
That earned Caitlyn a frown fro, her mother.
“No I wouldn’t” she said “why are you so interested anyway?”
Caitlyn shrugged as she stood up “no reason in particular, I am just curios that’s all.”
She quickly rushed out of the room before her mother had the chance to look deeper into the conversation.
If her mother had her children young, and had no regrets at all about it, would she be able to moan or judge Caitlyn about having a baby?
Caitlyn certainly hoped not, because her father alone was probably going to be a big problem.

Chapter 14

After school, Caitlyn went to the park to meet up with Dante.
All the way there she was hoping that he had decided to become a big part of the babies life, she didn’t know how she would cope if she had to look after the baby on her own.
Dante was waiting for her on the park bench, and intense expression on his face.
“Hi Dante” Caitlyn said softly, taking a seat next to him.
“I told my father about you being pregnant.” Dante finally said.
Caitlyn was surprised; she would have thought that he would have wanted to keep it a secret.
“What happened?” she asked him.
“He was angry at first, shouting about how stupid I was for not using any birth control, and that I have shamed the family name with my petty mistake.” He told her “then when he calmed down, we had a talk about the future, and what I should do about the situation.”
Caitlyn hoped her parents could be as calm as his father could be.
Dante looked at Caitlyn straight in the eyes “I know that this must be a difficult time for you Caitlyn, you have a little person inside you.” He told her “so I have decided that I will be much apart of our child’s life as much as I can. I will change nappies, burp him or her, and I will even feed it formula.”
Caitlyn took a deep breath “are you sure that you want to do this?” she asked him.
Dante nodded “there is a lot of responsibilities looking after a baby, and it would be much easier if we could at least share some of those responsibilities between us” he said “my father and I tried to figure out the best solution for our problems, so we will both be able to be happy for our and our child’s sake.”
Tears filled Caitlyn’s eyes; she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Dante really was going to be there fore her no matter what happened, and her unborn child was going to have a father figure in its life just like every child should.
“I think that we will be able to cope with having a baby” Caitlyn said “but I know how boys can be Dante, you can change your mind about this whenever you want to, and I will not be able to do anything to stop you leaving me with a baby to look after on my mine.”
She could remember when her cousin had become a single parent when her boyfriend had decided to leave her because he couldn’t cope with all the pressure of being a father and looking after a newborn baby. It had left her cousin devastated, with no one to help her looking after the baby or paying the bills.
“I’m not like that angelo” Dante told her, taking her by the hand “I will not leave you with to cope in your own, and I certainly will not leave our child fatherless. There is something I have to ask you, and please think about it before you choose to definitely say no to it.”
Caitlyn smiled at him “just ask me what you want to ask me” She said to him “it’s not like I am going to bite or anything like that Dante.”
Dante took a deep breath, and gave her one of his breath taking smiles that could leave most girls speechless.
“Caitlyn Forbes” he said slowly, squeezing her hand gently “will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”

Chapter 15

Caitlyn stared at Dante, her eyes wide open.
Did she hear correctly, did he really just ask her to marry him?
“Don’t answer it straight away” Dante said “just think about it.”
Caitlyn took a deep breath and said “I can’t marry you Dante; for one thing I am only fifteen years old!”
Dante thought for a moment then told her “you don’t have to marry me now, maybe in a few years time.”
Caitlyn didn’t think he got the full idea yet.
“I don’t love you Dante” she said slowly “and I won’t marry someone that I don’t love.”
Hurt filled Dante’s eyes “you don’t mean that” he told her “I have saw the way that you look at me and you can’t deny it.”
Caitlyn looked down at her hands, heat rising in her neck and cheeks.
“But you don’t love me” she whispered.
Dante took her by the chin to make her look up at him.
“I do love you” he admitted in a whisper “I just didn’t ever know how to tell you until now.”
Caitlyn didn’t know how to take it all in, he loved her, he wanted to marry her, and she was having his baby!
“We could be good together” he told her “a happy family, you, the baby, and I.”
Caitlyn was completely speechless, she really didn’t know what to think or say.
The way he spoke made her think that once she had the baby they could forget about all their problems and be a normal family, which would never work because for one thing they were still at school and there parents probably wouldn’t be happy with them leaving school to become a real family.
“It wouldn’t work” she protested “what about school?”
“It would be the same situation as it would if we weren’t together, the way it would be if it was just you and the baby, except I would be there to help you.”
He did have a point, and it would be nice for someone to be around to help her when the baby came.
If it had been anyone else asking her to marry them, Caitlyn would have said no and wouldn’t have even had to think about it, so this got her mind into a pickle.
She did love him, but she refused to admit how much though. And if he loved her as well, what on earth was there to stop them from being together? It would also be convenient for everyone; he wouldn’t have to damage his family name, and would probably put her parents to ease when they found out that she was going to have a baby with him. It would also probably distract Natalie enough that she wouldn’t chose to hate Caitlyn forever, and most of all, it meant that the unborn baby wouldn’t have to be born into a broken family like it would if Caitlyn said no to Dante.
Caitlyn took a deep breath, and looked up at Dante with tears filling up in her eyes.
She nodded quickly “yes Dante” she cried “I will marry you.”
And she would marry him, and she hoped that it wouldn’t come back and hit her in the face like many things in her life had before.

Chapter 16

Her parents were waiting for her in the living room, looking like they hadn’t got a clue for what they were waiting for.
Caitlyn could feel herself shaking all over with fear.
“Hello princess” her father told her happily “your mother told me that you have something to tell us.”
Caitlyn didn’t think that he would be calling her “princess” when he found out the news that she was about to tell him.
“Before I tell you the news, I just want to tell you that everything is going to be okay” she said slowly.
Her mother rolled her eyes “just spit it out Caitlyn, I don’t have all day!”
“I’m pregnant” she blurted out “and I’m going to marry the father!”
Her parents froze, looking at her as if she had just grown another head.
“Tell me that you are joking” her father said, turning bright red with anger “tell me that you are not pregnant”
“I’m so sorry daddy” she cried “I didn’t mean to get pregnant it just…happened.”
Her father stood up abruptly “you didn’t mean to get pregnant” he roared “you shouldn’t have been able to get pregnant in the first place.”
“What happened to waiting until marriage?” her mother added “or using protection?”
Caitlyn winced “I was drunk” she told them “and I didn’t know what I was doing.”
It was a lie, but she would say anything to calm them down.
“Who is the horrid boy that has done this to you?” her father demanded to know.
“Dante Costa” she told them “you met him when I was in the school play.”
Her father looked like he was about to burst out with steam.
“When did this happen” he asked her.
“Five weeks ago” she admitted.
“Why didn’t you tell us before?” her mother asked, sounding shocked.
“I only found out a few days ago” she told them “and I didn’t know how I could ever tell you.”
“So what are you going to do?” her mother whispered.
“I am going to keep my baby” she said “and I am going to be the best mother that I can possibly be.”
“What about school?” her father asked.
“There are many teenage parents in school” she told them “and they are doing well enough for themselves.”
She tried to find something else to make them calm down, but she was just coming out blank minded.
“I’m going to be a grandma” her mother said.
“And I a grandpa” her father added.
Caitlyn smiled at her parents, realizing that everything was going to be okay as it concerned them.
The only other people who she thought that really needed to know was her brother, and Natalie. They were also the two people would probably be easy to convince to be happy about the baby.
Concentrating on her parents again, she realized that they were talking about making a nursery, and how their friends would be full of jealousy that they were going to be grandparents before them.
Caitlyn gently patted her stomach, and though that she was going to be a mother as well.
