Stabbed in the back by those I once called family, hunted down like a wild dog begging for mercy, it was a long day, and yet the roads were longer, blue and red lights flashing violently in the distance anxiously, I awaited their arrival. The sound of the sirens grew as they emerged, I saw them, the cars, the police, everything engulfed by a shroud of flames. Was this Reality? Or was it my dark, deranged mind playing cruel tricks on the lives of the innocent. Thankfully, they never did find the body.
It was midnight when it happened, when the cruel hands of death tore my life apart. I can still remember their final words, "I love you" they cried, I watched them die that night, the night my parents died.
The next day, I woke up remembering the tragedy that befell the night before, and the mental pain along with it, grief felt like a jagged knife stabbing me straight through my weak, fragile heart, I was in ruins. I looked at the clock, it read '7:30am', I was late for my appointment. As I walked in the light refracted off of the Bright, white walls and aimed directly at me, blinding me temporarily, I ventured on to the front desk, sitting behind was the receptionist, she was tall, and blonde with blue eyes, "Hello, I'm here for my appointment", I explained anxiously, my whole body trembling as though I was expecting death to take me away
