As per last few days winter conditions, the severity of winter is increasing, the people’s life is disrupted. Batch 97 Narayanganj Group distributed clothes among the poor people instead of celebrating its 10th anniversary.

 

 

 

 

 

On Saturday 7th January 2023 at 8 pm, under the leadership of Batch 97 Narayanganj President Dr. Farhad Ahmed Zenith along with representatives of various schools distributed warm winter clothes (sweaters) among the poor including street children at Chasara Railway Station and Narayanganj Central Shaheed Minar area. Batch 97 Narayanganj is being always working for the humanity.

 

 

97 batch Vice President Jitu Sumon, Social Welfare Secretary Ahmed Ali Sajib, Media Head MA Mannan Bhuiyan, Humanitarian Program Coordinator Sayem Kabir were present during the distribution of winter clothes and other classmates Afrin Sultana Jamie, Jane Alam, Feroz Alam, Md Sharif, Ripon, Mahmud Akash, football teamCaptain Akter Hossain, Azimul, Monir Hossain, Md Saeed, Alam, Sonnet, Fazlu, Mamun, Kamal Hossain, Alauddin, Sajal and Zakir Hossain were also present.

 

The winter clothes distribution program was inaugurated in the evening at Chasara Madhabilata City Plaza. The Batch 97 Narayanganj Group expressed its determination to set a brighter example in the days to come.

The snow storm started from Morning on December 22 and has been going on non-stop last 33 hours at Baffalo in New York State.

 

As a result the road is covered with snow up to 3 feet. No vehicles are moving. Even Ambulance, fire service are not able to go out on the road for emergency work.

Many areas have been without electricity since yesterday. The temperature is running at -12 degrees Celsius. Many people have become sick because of this. Even pregnant women cannot go to the hospital.

According to the Meteorological Office, there has not been such a bad weather in the last 50-60 years in this area.

 

New York’s governor, mayor, police department have forbade people from leaving their homes. Now, the situation is going to be a bit normal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bangladeshi three family members death in Australia

Yesterday, October 16, 2022, at approximately 2:45 PM, four Bangladeshis from the same family were victims of a fatal road accident in Canberra, Australia.

 

Three members of the family were killed on the spot. The deceased are – Shahidul Islam alias Shahid Master (62), Razia Sultana (55) and Roni (22).

 

According to the description of the incident, Dr. Anwar Zahid, an expatriate of Australia, was driving the car himself. Parents and younger brother came to Australia to visit elder son Anwar Zahid, who had just performed Hajj. All of them were sitting on the back seat of the car at the time of the accident.

 

Currently, Canberra resident Dr. Anwar Zahid is undergoing treatment in the ICU in a coma.

Today, 17th May, 2022, a gazette was published for the Padma Multipurpose Bridge, signed by the Deputy Secretary of the Bridges Department of the Government of Bangladesh, determining the final toll according to the class of vehicles.

 All types of vehicles have been arranged in 13 categories for determining toll in Bangladesh.

1/ Trailer 4 excel+per excel = 6,000+1,500

2/ Trailer 4 axle = 6,000

3 / Truck 3 axle = 5,500

5 / Medium truck 5 tons + = 2,100

6 / Truck 5 tons = 1,600

7/ Big bus (3 axle) = 2,400

The Golden Jubilee Bangladesh Concert was held on Friday, May 8, 2022 at 8 pm local time at Madison Square in Manhattan, USA.

 

On the occasion Famous brand group Scorpions performed and on the same stage Bangladesh music group Chirkut with them.

 

 

 

There was a great excitement among the expatriate Bangladeshis on the occasion of this historic event. Before the commencement of the program, Bangladeshi expatriates and guests who from Bangladesh stood together and performed the national anthem of Bangladesh in the hall. There wear present Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Information Technology Adviser of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, AQM Mozammel Haque, Minister for Liberation War Affairs, Junaid Ahmed Palak, Minister of State for Information and Technology, popular MP from Narayanganj 4 constituency AKM Shamim Osman, Nahid Khan and many others at Madison Square in New York.

The United States Awami League has launched a human chain program demanding the lifting of US government sanctions against Bangladeshi seven high-ranking government officials.

 

The rally was held in front of the Foreign Office in Washington DC on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 under the leadership of Dr. Siddiqur Rahman, President of the United States Awami League and Abdus Samad Azad, Acting General Secretary.

 

 

Dr. Siddiqur Rahman, In his remarks
appealed to the United States government to immediately lift the ban and called the allegations against the seven officials was false. Those who involved in the anti-national conspiracy, the ban was the result of their conspiracy against Bangladesh.

 

Last Friday, the US Office of Foreign Assets Control imposed sanctions on 10 organizations and 15 individuals, including Bangladesh. As a result, these individuals will not receive a visa to the United States because of the ban.
