(Chapter 1 Summer rain)
“Why does it have to rain tonight?” Summer yelled. It was pouring outside. Summer held out my hand waiting for a taxi to pull up. “Can an 18 year old girl get a darn taxi?” Then she whistled and one pulled up next to her. “Thank god.” She whispered only so she could hear. “Where do you want to go young lady?” The man said as if he wanted to hurt her. “60th and Stealers street please.” Summer told him. She opened her cookie monster backpack pulled out her wallet and handed him 5 dollars.
‘Here you go missy.” He pulled up to her friend’s house Dawn. “Thank you so much!” Summer ran in the rain up to the apartment steps. She buzzed the little red button. Dawn ran to it and answered it. “Hello?” Dawn said in his usual voice. “Hey Dawn its Summer can I come in?” It was still raining buckets. “Oh sure come right up!” Summer ran inside rain dripping off her wet clothes. She walked up the stairs and opened Dawn’s door. “Hey” he smiled and kissed her. She kissed him back. Both of their parents had died a couple of years ago. She put her bag on the floor and made her way to his room. She laid on his bed nearly asleep. Dawn walked in and smiled. “Are you asleep?” He walked next to her. “No. I’m trying to get used to the vampire thing.” “Well we do sleep. Sometimes.” Dawn leaned down and picked her up and set her on the floor. Then he laid down on the bed. “Hey!” she giggled. Summer jumped back up on the bed. He chuckled. She got closer to him. He wrapped his arms around her. “Hey Summer.” He said “Do you love me?” Summer gasped at that question. “Of course. Do you love me?” He gasped at her question and then laughed a little. “Yes. And I will never love such another person.” She smiled and then fell asleep.
(Chapter 2 Love or not?)
“Hey beautiful.” Dawn said waking up Summer. Her hair was frizzy from being in the rain. He admired her hair so much. “Hi...” Summer rolled over wanting to fall asleep again. Dawn didn’t sleep that night and he was egger for her to wake up to ask her something. “Summer wake up.” “ Mph. I don’t want to.” Dawn really wanted her to wake up so he did the thing he knew would surely wake her up. He jumped up and down on the bed yelling chicken noodle soup over and over again. She started laughing and then sat up. “Thanks for the wonderful wake up!” Summer said still laughing that Dawn was still jumping up and down yelling chicken noodle soup. “Sit down!” She laughed. He did and smiled at her. “Good morning! Sleep well?” “Perfect thank you.” She kissed his cheek and smiled. “Hey get dressed in something nice ok?” He got up and took her hands. “I want to show you something. So hurry.” His smile even bigger this time. “Ok but you should change too. Into something nice” Summer got up and got her cookie monster bag and looked for her clothes that she brought. It was a nice violet dress with black high heels and a pair of earnings. She brought all of that into the bathroom and put it on. When she was finished she looked at herself in the mirror. Wait she thought. I didn’t pack this. I had a white t-shirt and a pair on torn jeans. Eh well better than nothing. She walked out of the room and saw Dawn wearing a black tux. “Wow! You’re so beautiful!” He picked her up by the waist and spun her around. She loved being called that. She felt so special being with him.
(Chapter 3 Proposal)
Dawn took Summer to the park. It was about 2 in the afternoon. Perfect time for proposal Dawn thought. Perfect time to be with the perfect woman. With the perfect love. How amazing. He kissed Summer. Then he got on one knee and presented her with a ring. “Summer Lyn Vento, I promise to love you forever. Would you do the pleaser to make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?” There were tears in her eyes. It took her a minute but then she said her answer. “Yes! Yes! Of course!” Summer said with so much delight. Dawn got up and hugged her. “Never let go.” She whispered in his ear. He smiled. “I won’t. I promise.”
(Chapter 4 engaged)
Summer sat on Dawn’s bed. Dawn was asleep on the sofa. He had a long night. All night long he and his sister, Maya planned a lot of the wedding over the phone. She went to bed early and let the 2 of them to finish planning. Summer walked into the living and saw a stack of papers. Wedding plans she knew. She picked up the first paper she saw. She read it quietly. Date: January 14th Reason: Summer Vento and Dawn Knight will be married.

“Dawn.” She said. She knelt down and shook him. Even though he was a vampire, that didn’t sleep that much she still loved to wake him up. It made him seem more human than vampire. “Dawn.” She repeated. Summer shook him. Dawn opened his eyes. “Hey.” He said. Dawn looked at and touched her face and kissed her. “How did you sleep?” She asked. He yawed and sat up on the sofa. Summer sat next to him. “Well I slept. That’s for sure.” He was still really tired. So she got up and made him tea. She didn’t know why tea was his favorite drink but she didn’t mind making it. It was for Dawn. The man that she loved so much. The man who she would get wed to. “Here.’ She handed him the glass of tea. He smiled. “You shouldn’t have.” Now she was smiling. “It was no big deal.” She sat next to him. “What time is it?” Dawn asked. Summer turned and saw the wall clock. “9:30.” Summer replied. “Oh crud. I we have to go.” “Go where? It’s Wednesday.” She was confused. Aren’t the last couple days before your wedding supposed to be calm and lovely? Not in this love story I guess. Dawn took her hand. His hair was messy but he was in a rush. “Hold on.” She took him to the bathroom and handed him a brush. “Oh…well can you do it?” Dawn like Summer running her hands through his hair. She rolled her eyes and took the brush and started brushing his hair out. Then she ran her fingers in his now smooth hair. “Better?” She asked. “Much better.” He took her hand, kissed it and held it. She blushed.

It’s bad luck for you to see it. So go over there to your tux man fitting thing and when were done we’ll be right over k?” Maya wanted her older brother to leave. “Your wish is my command.” He said and he leaned over and kissed Summer for a while. Maya pulled them to apart. “You will have enough time to make out at your honey moon!” She took Summer’s arm and dragged her inside leaving Dawn all alone walking to the tux shop all by himself.
“Here Summer. Find a dress no matter how much the cost!” Maya said with so much pleasure. Summer walked around the store. Thinking. She thought of the wedding. About how she was going to see her family. The alive family anyway. She thought about her new family. Dawn’s family. Then she thought about the honeymoon. Spending it at some nice resort somewhere. “I found it!” Summer yelled to Maya. “Come here!” Maya ran over with her vampire speed. “Oh my gosh! I think you found it!” Maya and summer ran to one of the women working there. “Hello Mrs. Do you know where my friend here can try this wonderful dress on.” Maya held up the dress. “Oh yes of course come with me ladies.” The woman took us to the fitting room. “Do you need any help putting it on?” The woman asked. “No I think I’m good.” She slipped on the dress with ease. Then she walked out. “Oh my god!” Maya and the woman said. “Perfect! Uh can we buy this!” The woman nodded. Summer took off the dress and put it in its bag. “Ok! Come ladies we will purchase your dress!”

It’s way better.” Jason took Dawn into the fitting. His tux was already picked out. Jason handed him his tux. “Put it on and please stop thinking about your tux! Just put it on.” Dawn did as he was told and put on his tux. “Nice fit” He said walking out of the room. Jason walked over to the man who helped Jason pick out the tux. Jason told him what he wanted and the man nodded his head in agreement. “Ok Dawn just go to your happy place.” Dawn rolled his eyes. He knew Jason would be picking through his mind but at this point in time he didn’t care. He just wanted to get out of there and hold Summer in his arms. He wanted to see her smile, hugging him back, kissing his cheek. Them dancing all over the living room. Jason looked up at his brother. “Ugh romance! You can do that all to her later just...” “Hey you told me to go in my happy place and all of that is in my happy place!” Dawn told him. Jason opened his mouth wanting to protested but then close it. “Looks like you’re done.” The man said. “Oh how I did such a perfect job!” The man walked off and said when he got the tux off we could purchase it. “Can we go back to Maya and Summer now?” Dawn pleaded. “Dude you live with her! Man you’re going to die at your bachelor party without her!” “Ugh whatever.”
(Chapter 8 Almost there)
“Do I have to go to the stupid bachelor party?” Dawn asked. They were both lying on the bed facing each other. “Yes. You’re going to be with your brother and you’re other friends. Plus after the wedding you’ll always be with me.” Summer wanted Dawn to go. She had plans with Maya. They were going to share a tub of ice cream and were going to watch chick flicks. Summer pulled him close and kissed him. He smiled. “I am definitely staying.” She smiled and then sat up. “You should go. I know I won’t get to see you in the morning when you wake up but...” “Wait what!” Dawn jumped up in shock. “I don’t get to wake up next to you! But I need to!” He sounded so confused. She kissed him longer this time. “Please go.” Dawn looked into her pleading eyes. She must have plans he thought. Probably with Maya. “Ok fine be back later to say good night. Love you.” He got up and walked and got his coat. Summer ran after him. She hugged him tight. “See you tomorrow Mrs. Knight.” He kissed her forehead and then on the lips. “Love you.” She called to him. “Love you too.” He said as he was walking down the steps.
(Chapter 9 the wedding)
Maya came running in the room. “Ah I’m so excited! In just a couple of minutes you’ll become my sister!” Maya said happily. “I know and in a couple of more minutes Dawn will be my husband!” exclaimed Summer. They both hugged each other in excitement. Then Jason walked in. “Oh wow is that my going to be my sister!” He ran and hugged Summer. “And you are very handsome Jason!” She laughed a little.
Maya walked into the room where Dawn was. He was getting up to wait for Summer at the end on the aisle. “Aw don’t you look handsome! I’m so excited! You and Summer! You’ll both be Summer Dawn! Oh how I love it.” She walked out and went back to Summer. “You ready?” Jason looked at Summer smiling. “Oh course.” She locked elbows with Jason and walked down the aisle.
