High School Bad Boys

"Congratulations honey!" mom said with false enthusiasm over the phone. And I could tell she was telling me it only half - heartedly. Paper rustling in the background and her high heels were running around all over the place. And I would hear her breath like she was rushing somewhere.

It's been a very long time since we've seen each other and today was the first time we've talked over the phone in 3 years and 1 month. I don't even know if I even miss her.

"Thank you! But you did all of the appling - that was the hard work so thank you!" I said. I wasn't excited because I was talking to her. I was excited because I got into my dream high school - Fortman High School For Excellence. I've been dreaming of going here ever since 7th grade when my teacher was talking about it.

The light cream colored paper was sitting in front of me with the elegant envelope along with it. The scripted handwriting printed my address on it.

"Oh, but you worked hard to get the grades! So, still congratulations to you! I don't even know what to say, honey. I wish I was there with you." mom said. Again, I can tell she doesn't mean it. She's over 100 miles away from here, in fact she isn't even on the same contuinent as me - she is all the way in London, England. In addition, she haven't been part of my life for almost 4 years.

"Yeah." I murmured.

"Oh, I almost forgot. Did you get my mail?"

"Yeah, I did."

"So? . . . ?" She asked.

"Wait, I need to open it. . . I was just so caught up with the acceptance letter that I didn't even look at the other stuff yet." I added quickly so i didn't hurt her feelings.

"It's ok, honey, I know, I know." she said, "Ah ha! Found it!" And I knew she wasn't talking to me. She wasn't even putting her heart into this conversation with her daugther that she almost forgot.

I let out a silence sigh. I opened the package from her and I found a pair of key.

"Mom! You brought me an apartment?!" I asked.

"No, not an apartment, I brought you a house." she said.

"Oh my God, my very first apartment, oh thank you, thank you mom!" I exclaimed excitedly.

"Yeah, I figure tthat the new house is closer to Fortman than the old house." she said. I can hear her lock the door of her house.

"Thank you so much." I said.

"Yeah and don't worry about the old house, the bills of the new house or anything, I got it all under control." she said and I could hear the soft purr of her car engine being turned on.

"Thanks mom, I am so happy that  - " I started, but was cut by her.

"Look honey, The address of the new house is inside the envelope and everything is inside already, like the furnitures, dishes, food in the refrigerator, etc. And if you need an help or anything call me or talk to the neighbor her name is Mrs. White. She is quite a plesant lady . . . -  I actually like her. Candice, I know I just call you 10 minutes ago, but I got to go to work. I can't talk for long. I promise I will call back later, ok?" she said.

I sighed silently to myself again, "Ok, mom."

"I'm really sorry, Candice, please forgive - "

"No, mom, it's ok, I understand you have to work." I said trying to sound happy even though deep down I really want her to talk to me for the whole entire day, "Have a good day mom."

"You have a good day too Candice. I love you." she said.

"I love you too." I said. I'm not even sure if she heard me saying it because she hung up. I missed those times when we used to talk for more than 2 hours. But I feel like everytime I call or she calls, the amount of time gets shorter and shorter until it only lasts 10 minutes. I sighed.

I got up and started packing up my things.

~~~~
 Sitting in new room, I waited for my phone to ring - waiting for mom to call back like she promised.
Have she already forgetten me? I asked myself. But I shook my head. No, that can't be. Mom was the one who got me into Fortman, she obviously knew what I wanted. In addition, I should be thanking her for working so hard to get me into that school - Wait! I didn't even thank her! How rude of me?
I tried calling mom - wanting to thank her, but her phone was shut.
I stared at my phone for God knows how long, until I gave up.
She is probably working or having a really important meeting. I'll called her next time and thank her.
I got ready for bed, but that didn't stop me from thinking about the fact that this is not the first time that she didn't call like she promised.
I shook my head. I really need to get over this because all that matters is that tomorrow is going to be the first day of school.
High School Bad Boys
Walking into Fortman High School For Excellence made me so proud of myself. And in order to keep my pride, I was very careful about everything I do.
Ok, rules : 1) raise hand in every single class 2) take notes on every single detail that the teacher talk about!!! 3) read more than 385 books this year 4) never get an A- or lower 5) do about 200 or more hours of community service 6) and lastly, try to join an extracurricular activity and not be kicked out a few minutes later because I nearly killed everyone in the room. I thought to myself. And if everything is completely, it would be a perfect year!
I followed the sign to the office and waited on line to get my textbooks, schedule, locker number, etc. just like everyone else.
"Next!" the office lady said. Eleanor Sunshine said the golden name tag printed in classy script.
"Hello, Eleanor Sunshine! I'm - "
"Excuse me?"
"Sorry, Mrs. Sunshine, the name - "
"Mrs.?"
"Ohh, look, Ms. Sunshine, I am new here, I don't know anybody's name and I don't even know how the school work - so when I saw you name tag that printed Eleanor Sunshine, I thought I could call you that because in my old school we call the teacher by their first name. I am truly sorry. And also I thought I could call you Mrs. Sunshine - " Instantly I cut my talking because I was about to say something really mean.
Because you look pretty old to not be married. I finished the sentence in my head.
"Enough talking." she said and under her breath she murmured "What a chatterbox." My jaws dropped. I was just about to tell her that I am not a chatterbox, I just need to explain what needs to be explained when someone on the line shouted, "How goddamn long do I have to stand here?"
Rude much?! I thought taking in deep breaths.
"Would you like to tell me your name?" Ms. Sunshine asked sounding annoyed. I could tell she doesn't like me already so I quickly told her my name to get it over with.
"Candice Rebecca Rose."
" ... Here is your schedule, your homeroom is 604. And here are your textbooks ... 3 books for literature, 2 books for math and science, 1 book for history, music, gym, health and sex ed. and here is the school handbook - I highly suggest you to read it - "
"Where's my locker?" I asked Ms. Sunshine.
She gave me look saying 'I was just about to get to that.'
What?! I'm sorry that I have to ask because I have more than 10 big ass textbooks in my hand.
She hesitated before she answer as if she wanted me to suffer just a little more. "Your locker number is 458 and here is your locker combination." She slapped the little peice of paper on top of my enormous pile of textbooks.
"Thanks." I said weakly and slowly walked out of the office.
At least I got everything I needed.
"Ok, now I just need to find my locker. 458. 458. 458 -- woooah!" I cried as I ran into someone.
"Hey! Watch where you - woah! ... Are you ok?"
I immeditatly started picking up my book without looking up at him.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just fine." I said.
"Look, I'm sorry." he said.
"It's ok, I should be saying sorry." I said and I scrambled to gather all of the books. He bend down to pick up the books and at the corner of my eyes I caught a glance look of his face and I stopped picking up the books.
Holy cow, he is hot. I thought and looked at him again. This time he caught me looking at him and smirked. I blushed. I probably look more like tomatoes than human.
"I'm Brandon." he said touching my hand. My head went completely blank. I can't think of anything - well maybe except the fact that a super hot guy (and the only guy in my 17 years of living) was touching my hand. My hand. My right hand.
"H - hi. I'm C - Candice Rose." I hope I don't sound as retarded as I heard myself.
Than he did the most surprising thing I could think of: he chuckled and walked away, just like that.
Is that what guys are always like? Make a girl feel retared because she couldn't talk to a guy properly and than just walk off? I thought. I thought for a few more minute before I shook my head and started my journey to find my locker.
Just than the bell rung.
"Oh no! Please, please, I can't be late!" I said to myself.
Just image what the teacher will think of me! I just can't be late today - I just can never be late! Ok, Candice, calm down and think. Think. Ok, think ... Ok, since I am going to be late, I don't have time to spare so I guess I would have to head start to class.
And without a second thought, I turned my heels and hurried to class. I settled down just as the teacher walked in. I quickly got ready for class.
The first half of the day went by very quickly. I got through advanced math, advanced history, health and music; now I have lunch and after lunch I have gym, advanced science, advanced literature and sex ed.
I hurried to the lunchroom because I was starving. I could eat a horse and a cow. (See? Did you see what I did there? I mixed the metaphor of 'I could eat a horse' and 'I could eat a cow' together. Thank you, thank you.)
I went on the lunch line and saw that they were serving spaghetti with meatballs - my favorite.
"Um excuess me, but could you give me a lot. I am starving." I said to the lunch lady when it was my turn.
She gave me a look saying 'Who do you think you are?'
"Never mind." I said, "I was just joking." She handed me the plate, a fork and a knife.
I went outside on the grass and sat down to eat. When there was 5 minutes left, I quickly throw out my things and went to the locker.
"Ok, let's see, turn to the right to the number 36, than turn to the left to the number 7. Than turn the lock to the right two times. Than turn left to the number 59. Pound the center when you are done." I said out loud. I pound the middle. Nothing happened.
I pounded the center again and again and again. Only God knows how much time I pounded the center.
"UGHHH!!! Great. My locker doesn't work." I said.
I pulled the lock as hard as possible. "Open! Open! Open up you stupid locker!"
I got so angry that I punched the space right above the lock and it was a miracle that the lock popped open.
"Maybe violent does come in handy in some situation." I said as I shoved all of the unnecessary books in the locker.
I slammed my locker shut and dashed down the left hall to advanced literature.
I threw the door open just as I got there and immeditantly started to apologize; "Good afternooon Mr. Harris I am so sorry that I am late, my locker was jammed and - "
"Head to the detention room right now young lady!" he yelled. My eyes widen just as he spoke it. Those were the words that I never wanted to hear.
"W - wha - "
"Detention room." he said slowly, "It is room 620."
I am sooo dead! It is going to be on my permanent record! PERMANENT, PERMANENT, PERMANENT record!!!! I will never graduate high school and have a successful life. I will be doomed for the rest of my life. I will never make a good living and when I don't make a good living, I will die from hungier and sadness. Oh, what have a done to my life!! I want to - I thought, but stopped when I reached the detention room.
I knocked on the door.
There was answer.
I opened the door and peeked inside the room. Empty.
Of course, what did I expect, a whole bunch of people? Because people in Fortman know not to waste their education privileged in the detention room.
I was about to go look for the principal when the door flew open and I ran into a wall.
No, my bad, somebody.
I looked up to see who I ran into and immediately my mind mumbled how handsome he was.
He was handsome. Very handsome. So handsome ... Woahhhh. I thought, awestruck.
But than, my mind jumped to conclusion that he could be the principal.
Oh my God, Jesus Christ, WHAT WAS I THINKING??? ABOUT MY PRINCIPAL????
"Look, I am so sorry. I shouldn't have been late on the first day, I knew it. It was just that I was trying to find my locker and I got lost and I bumped into someone and my locker was jammed. And did I tell you that I am new here, you probably know, so please don't expect too much from me. Please don't make this detention go onto the permanent record. I am so sorry, principal - " I ranted.
"Are you done talking, yet?" he asked.
My eyes widened.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"I am not the principal so I don't know why you are calling me principal and I don't care if you are late or whatever." he said.
My cheeks grew hot, "Sorry, I thought that - "
"Save it for someone who cares." he said, walking pass me to get a seat.
My jaws dropped, "What is - "
"Yo Sebastian, did you see the janitor's face when - well, hello there. It seems like there's someone who arrived at the detention room before us." said a guy who just entered the room.
I frowned.
"I'm Brandon." he said, smirking at me.
"Hi." I said quietly. His smirk grew bigger.
"Hey! I know you!" said another's voice. That voice sound familiar. I turned to see him.
Him. HIM!! THAT GUY! THAT GUY FROM THE HALLWAY, THE FIRST GUY WHO TOUCHED MY HANDS!!
"Hey! It's you! That guy! I mean, I know you too." I said to that guy.
"I'm Valentino." he said.
Valentino. Valentino, oh so lovely. I cooed.
"Hi, I'm Candice." I said,blushing, "Thank you for helping me this morning."
"Oh, it's nothing - "
"Since when do you help anyone - "
Someone cleared their throat. I spun around. The principal.
Ellen Lambert, Principal her golden name tag printed.
I ran up to her. "Principal Lambert, I can explain why I am here." I said, quickly, "I am so sorry, don't mean to be late. I am was just trying - "
"Ms. Rose, come to my office where we can talk - "
"Please Principal, I promise I - " her glare stopped me from speaking.
"You too Mr. Blake."
Oh God, I am so doomed. First I was late, than I was sent to detention and now I got myself into more trouble by talking to Mr. Rudehead. What have I done to myself?
"Have a seat." the principal said. I gulped, I took a deep breath, I am ready for it.
"Ms. Rose, the reason that you're here is because I am going to ask you a favor." the principal said.
"A favor?" I asked.
"Yes." she said, nodding.
I relaxed a little.
"I want you to tutor Sebastian." she said.
" ... Sebastian ... " I said, turning my head slowly to look at him.
"Yes." she said.
" ... In which subject?" I asked, I was already dreading this.
"All." she said.
"All?" I squeaked.
"I realized that asking you to do such a big favor, I think I should do something in return. I thi - "
"There's nothing that I want more than to have that detention mark on my permanent record off." I said instantly.
The principal paused looking at me as if to decided if she should do that or not. I banged my head against the wall mentally.
"I can't guarantee anything right now," she said slowly, "but if Sebastian improves on his grades than I will do as you wish, how if you don't you know your consquences."
I nodded. My record will have the word 'detention' written big and bold.
"Ok, than that should be it," she said, "you may go to your last period class."
"Thank you, Principal Lambert." I said as I got up to leave.
"You're welcome, but hurry along." she said.
I nodded.
Thank the Lord that I have a chance to remove the mark from my record, now I just have to take it very seriously. I can't messy up or -
"I'm movin' in." Mr. Rudehead said as the door closed behind us.
"What?" I asked, knitting my eyebrows together.
"I'm moving in." he said slowly.
"What?"
"I am moving in with you. ARE YOU DEAF?" he said, raising his voice on the last part.
"Who are you and what's your name again?" I asked him.
His jaws dropped as if to say 'This - girl - doesn't - know - my - name? - Where - has - she - been - living? - Under - the - rock?'
"You don't know my name?" he asked.
"Yo Sebastian, is everything alright?" Brandon shouted in the hall next to Valentino. I jumped at his sudden presence.
"Yo Brandon, this girl right here doesn't know who I am." he said pointing at me.
Brandon and Valentino smirked, shaking their heads.
"I'm Sebastian Blake, Sebastian Blake. Remember that." he said, "All - star athlete champion of this school, Quarterback of the Tigers, Captain of the - "
"I don't care." I said.
His jaws dropped again.
"She doesn't care, man." Sebastian said to Valentino and Brandon.
They let out a small chuckle, smirking at me.
"Are you even a girl?" Sebastian asked.
"Do I look like one to you?" I asked.
"A little." he said, smirking. Now it was time for him to make fun of me. "Just a little bit undeveloped in some areas."
I grew red.
"Ok, but that's not the point. The point is that you are a stranger to me, we've only meet each other for about," I said and looked down at my watch, "two hours, 36 minutes and 51.3 seconds. And I am not allow to live with any boys or anybody in general without my parent's permission."
 "Unless you want to not tutor me and have that detention mark on your record, than ok." he said, turning his heels while starting his way down the hall to last period class.
And without thinking, I grabbed his arm and said, "Wait."
He spun around.
"Yes?" he asked with a smirk on his face, but inside he knew what was going to happen next.
I looked at him and let out a deep breath, "Fine."
"That's why I thought." he said.
"Don't make me take back what I said."
"Don't make me take back my offer."
I rolled my eyes as I croosed my arms.
"I'm going to class." I said, turning my heels and started down the hall.
"Wait," Sebastian said. I spun around to face him.
"I'm moving in tonight." he said.
I opened my mouth to protest, but he cut me off. "Good bye." He started walked down the hall.
"Hey! Hey!" I shouted, "I'm talking to you. Hey!!"
~~~~

I turned the keys to open the front door. Exhausted from the long school day, I threw the door open and dropped the keys down on the nearby coffee table.

"Awh! It's good to be home." I said sitting on the edge kitchen island, eating a banana.

"Fuck this!" a vioce shouted. Getting startled by the sudden knowledge that another person is also in the house with me I choked on the banana. " Hey you, come over here!"

Sebastian.

"You don't have to shout! You startled me!" I shouted back as I followed his voice into the living room. "On day I will -" I stopped.

"WHERE DID YOU GET THAT THING?"

"That 'thing' that you are talking about is a XBox 360 and I obviously brought it from the store and by the way a new TV is coming."

"WAIT, what?! A new TV? For what? This TV," I said walking over to the TV and patting it on the top, "is pretty good."

"Yeah, not counting that the TV is 5 fucking years old, like who owns a TV that old before? And in addition, I have to waste about 1 minute of my life for that TV to actually broadcast what I want to watch." he said.

My jaws dropped. "What's the matter with 5 years old, huh? I am pretty sure you are more than 5 years old and I'm surprised someone didn't throw you out. And it's just 1 minute, I don't see why you need to watch whatever channel you need to watch the second your hand touches the remote. And if you really can't handle wasting 1 minute of your life, than isn't it better of if you don't watch it?"

I took another bite of my banana. I won.

He opened his mouth to talk, but I stopped him at it. I didn't want him to win again.

"So cancel the order of the new Tv, or else ..." I said.

"Or else what?" he asked, smirking. And I can tell by the look in his eyes that she was thinking about something wrong.

"Or else I would cancel it myself." I said, snatching the business card away from him and dashed to the room.

"Hey!" he shouted charging after me, but too late, I locked the door.

I took out my phone and dialed the number.

"Hey! Don't you even dare to cancel the order!" Sebastian shouted.

"Oh yeah? Well than you better listen." I said.

"Hello?" a voice from the other end said. I turned it on speakers just to rub it in this face.

"Oh hi, I would like to talk to you about the order that I made." I said.

"Hey, don't listen to her!" Sebastian said pounding on the door.

The man on the other line stayed quiet.

"Oh, you know, they're just little kids, don't mind what they are saying." I said, trying to make my voice sound as motherly as possible.

"Ok then," the man said, "May I ask you whom's name you put under?"

"Oh yeah, Sebastian." I said.

Sebastian pound on the door again. "Don't listen to that god damn woman!"

"Ummm, is everything ok, madam?" the man said.

I letted out a fake sob. "No. No sir, everything is not fine at home. Everything has been going wrong." I letted out another fake sob. "My son has been misbehaving these days, he took my credit card and starting maxing on it." I sniffed. "I'm scared that I can't control him a - an - and, we - we're - we're GOING TO BE POOR!" I letted out a loud, fake cry at the last four words.

"Oh Lord, what do you want me to do?" the man quickly asked.

"Just please cancel the order." I said, quickly.

"Ok, please hold a second." the man said.

"NOOO!!!" Sebastian cried.

The man on the other line said, "Tsk, tsk, you sure created a great amount of pain for your mother."

I smiled silently to myself.

"It's all done, madam." the man said.

"Oh thank you, thank you." I said and hung out.

I threw my phone down and opened the door. "Point proven." I said, smirking at him.

He looked like he was about to punch me in the face. "Fuck this." he said, throwing his fist down.

"No cursing please." I said, but smiled even bigger just to rub it in his face, "And if you don't like this, why don't you move out."

"Hell no I'm moving out of here." he said, plopping down on the sofa.

"Why?" I asked, plopping down next to him.

"Personal reasons." he said. I looked at him with interest.

"Come on, tell me." I said, shaking his arm, "Please. Please tell, I won't tell anyone."

"Is it because you have no friend?" he asked.

I let go of his arm. "Excuse me, Mr. Rudehead."

"You're excused."

"What?!" I asked.

"What?" he said.

I paused, "What??"

"What?"

"Huh?"

He smiled before his face hardens again.

I gasped, "Did you just smile? Did you?! DID YOU?!"

"No, what the fuck?" he said.

"You did! You did!" I said, pointing at his mouth, "And there's no need to curse, smiling is good for you, you should smile more."

"Stop that." he said.

"It's ok, I got-chu. I wouldn't tell anybody that you smiled, ok?" I said, pounding a fist on the left side of my chest twice.

"What the fuck - "

"No cursing." I said turning serious. "That should be one of our rule."

"Rules?" he questioned like he never heard of them, "Why the - "

"STOP! No cursing." I said, pointing at his mouth again, "I can tell that you're about to curse again."

He stared at me.

"Anyways." I said, shaking my head, "I got to go."

"Where?"

"To the store."

"Why?"

"I need to buy gifts for the neighbors." I said, grabbing a tote bag.

"Shouldn't it be the other way around?" he asked.

"Yeah, I guess, but I want to give the neighbors, especially Mrs. White, a good impression since she is going to help me a lot." I said, "Wanna come?"

"No, stay." he said, "I'm hungry."

I blinked at him, "Good for you."

"I mean, can you stay and cook something for me?"

"How about no?" I asked.

"Please." he said.

"No." I said, "I'm going to be going now."

"I'm going too." he said.

"Why?" I asked.

"I'll drive you to the store." he said.

I put my hands on my hips, "Did you buy a - "

"No I didn't buy a car behind your back. It was the car I brought along from my old house." he said.

I had to give him credit for reading my mind. "Fine." I said.

I locked the front door and he waited for me in the car.

"Let's have pizza for dinner." he said.

I pursed my lips together.

"How about candy for dinner, I've always wanted to have a candy meal." I said.

He grinned, "Let's go."

~~~~
 "No, I don't eat green gummy bears!" I said as I shoved a clear and red gummy bear in my mouth.
He took the gummy bear back and eat it.
I sorta of the gummy bear by colors.
Sebastian poured out more candy into the candy bowl.
"Woahhhhh!" I cheered as I feel the joy.
Sebastian raised his eyebrows.
I grabbed a lollipop and sucked on it as I put more clear gummy bear in my mouth. "BEST DINNER EVER!" I cried at the top of my lungs.
He nodded slowly and put more green gummy bear in my mouth.
"Turn on so musiccccc!" I said, singing the last word.
"Does the candy have drugs in them?" he asked as he turned on the music, "You're acting a little high."
"Having a sugar rush!" I said, giggling at the last part.
I broke a peice of chocolate and put it in my mouth. I grabbed some blue M&Ms and put them in my mouth.
"Ahm nom nom." I said, imitating the cereal commerical.
Sebastian grinned and shook his head.
"You're weird." he said.
I giggled.
We let the music play and eat more candy until we were full and had a big stomach ache.
 "I'm so full." I said, tiredly, "I want to sleep."
Sebastian looked at me for a while, "Where do I sleep?"
"Well, that's your problem because you're the one who wants to stay in this house." I said, getting up from the floor to go to the bedroom.
He grabbed my wist.
"Do you have another blanket?" he asked.
"Yeah, in the closet." I said, "I'm brushing my teeth."
He walked over to the closet and pulled out a blanket.
"Awh! That's so kind of you to care about me catching a cold. I thought that - "
"Are you metally challenged? It's not for you." he said.
I frozed, "Oh."
He letted out a small breath of laughter and shook his head. My cheeks burned in embarrassment. I mentally slapped myself on the face.
Did I really think that was for me? I thought.
I left my chin, "Whatever." I said and brushed my teeth. I washed my face and went to bed.
I got into bed and watched as the living room light flicked off. Somehow, I wasn't feeling sleepy even when I am suppose to sleep around this time. Maybe it was the fact that there's a guy sleeping under the same roof as me. Or maybe it was the fact that if I open my bedroom door, a guy is right out there.
I justed stared at the ceiling for about an hour when I felt bad for Sebastian for making him sleep in the living room.
I got out of bed and opened the door. Just seeing a guy sleeping under the same roof as me made my heart beat louder and faster.
"Sebastian?" I asked to see if he was awake.
There was no answer.
Ok, so he's asleep. I thought. I sat down on the floor and stared at him.
"How did you fall asleep?" I asked him even if I know he wouldn't respond.
"Don't you feel uncomfortable sleeping out here? Whenever I am sleeping in a room besides the bedroom, I feel like someone out there is looking through the window and watch me fall sleep. I feel so exposed. I feel bad that you don't get to sleep in a bedroom. But if you are uncomfortable, you can wake me up and I will - "
"So you're willing to share your bedroom?" Sebastian's voice sudden said.
I jumped, "You're awake."
"I never said that I was asleep."
"But you didn't answer me when - "
"I didn't want to break your rule so I had to listen to your whole story."
"Well, you interrupted my last part." I pointed out.
"Whatever." he said, getting up and grabbing his blanket.
"Wait, where're you going?" I asked, grabbing his forearm.
"To the bedroom. You offered me to sleep in there." he said, raising his eyebrow and his smirk appeared on his face.
"Well, I am taking it back." I said.
"Too late." he said throwing themself on the bed, "Awhh! It feels so much better to sleep on a bed than on a sofa."
"Hey! Get off!" I said, trying to pull him off, but after it was no use.
"Just let me sleep, I'm tired." he said.
I debate about it for a few minutes, "Fine, but you can go past this blanket." I said, placing a blanket in the middle to indicate which side is my side and which side is his side.
"Whatever, just sleep." he said, moving over on the bed.
I threw myself on the side and letted out a breath of relaxation.
"Good night." I said.
"Shut up." he mumbled.
I punched him in the stomach, "Hey, when someone is being polite or nice to - "
"Alright, alright. Good night, satisfied?" he asked.
I smiled and mumbled, "Yeah."
He letted out a quiet breath of laughter before I knew he fall asleep.
High School Bad Boys
Getting up in the morning never so awful in my life. I hardly slept yesterday, maybe it was the fact that I had a whole bowl of candy for dinner or maybe it was the fact that there's a guy sleeping on my bed.
I dragged my feet to closet and took out my school uniform and dragged my feet to the bathroom.
I brushed my teeth and washed my face.
I took of my shirt and grabbed my bra to put it on. I was in the middle of putting on my bra when Sebastian suddenly bursted in without knocking.
"AHHHHH!!!!" I screamed as I clutch my bra as he wouldn't see anything.
His eyes widened at the sight and turned him back towards me as he walked out.
My stomach squeezed just thinking about the fact that a guy just saw me half naked. I quickly fastened my bra and put on the rest of my outfit as I tried to calm myself down before I walk out of the bathroom.
How am I suppose to face him? I thought to myself. I took some more deep breaths before I finally have the guts to walk out of the bathroom.
"That took you 5 years." he said as he walked pass me to go to the bathroom.
Thank the Lord he acted like nothing happened ... Maybe I should act like that never happened too. I thought.
Just to show him I'm cool with what happened in the bathroom, I flipped my hair back and said, "Whateva. I don't care."
 He gave me a strange look. I punched myself mentally again.
Great acting - I - am - totally - cool - with - it act, Candice.
"Never mind." I said as I waved my hand to dismiss it.
"Okkk," he said slowly before closing the door and start doing him own business.
I went to the room and started packing all of my work and essential things for school.
Sebastian was already in his uniform and waiting for me at the front door when I am done grabbing everything.
"I'll drive." he said.
"No."
He looked at me.
"Hello? Have reality not struck you hard enough? Nobody is suppose to find out that we are living together and I am perfectly fine with taking the bus." I said.
"Whatever suits you." he said and walked right out the house.
"Whatever suits you." I mimicked.
"I heard you!" Sebastian shouted to me.
I winced in embarrassment and again, mentally punched myself on the head.
I walked to the bus as fast as I can and waited for the bus.
The bell rung signalling that my next period is about to begin; lunch. I letted out a breath of relief. I packed all of my things and rushed out of Mr. Harris's classroom as quickly as possible. I swear, he was watching me for the whole entire period.
I shivered, Creep.
"Miss Rose," Mr. Harris's voice called my name. I banged my head against the wall mentally.
"Please stay after class, I have something to talk to you about." he said and every student still left in the room turned their head towards me.
I walked over to his desk and put on a 100% fake smile on my face, "Yes, Mr. Harris?" I asked.
"Since you missed class yesterday, I would like you to make up for the assignments that you missed." he said.
I nodded politely, but in my head, I was punching him.
"Here," he said and handed me a book, "Read Chapter 1 - 3 and write an essay explaining and analyzing the text. In addition, pick one of the words that you feel like is the most important and write a paragraph explaining why."
"Wait, when is this due?" I asked.
"Tomorrow." he said.
I gasped. "I have to do the homework that you gave me today and on top of that this assignment?" I asked.
"Yep,"
"But - "
"No buts, it's your homework. Good luck and good - bye." he said and shooed my out of his classroom.
I stomped my way to the cafeteria and got on the lunch line.
"Who does he think I am? Superwoman? Speedy woman? How I am suppose to finish every teacher's homework in one night and still get enough sleep? And I also have another things to do like taking a shower, eating, start signing up for community service, and oh my gosh, I forgot, I still need to get the neighbors presents! Oh my Lord, how am I suppose to - "
And the next thing you know I planted my face and my plate of spaghetti and meatball on someone.
Than I notice that the whole entire cafeteria went silent.
I took a few steps back and looked up.
Even thought I ran into someone, I didn't get a splash of tomato sauce on me, instead it was all over Sebastian's white t-shirt.
I widned my eyes. "S - sorry." I stuttered.
He rolled his eyes and took of his shirt.
"W - what are you doing?" I asked, "Put on your shirt. E - everyone is looking at y - you."
My eyes was trying to look only at his face, but it was hard not to stare at his muscles.
"Wash it and I expect you to remove the tomato stain." he said and threw the shirt at me. I caught it just in time and he walked out of the cafeteria without another word.
"But the closest dry cleaning place is 4 miles away." I said to myself. I groaned in frustration. "And the saddest part is that I dropped my lunch."
~~~~

"You owe me $23.99." I said as I threw the shirt by Sebastian's face (but of course, because of his great reflex skills, he end up catching it).

"$23.99? Since when as getting a shirt bleached that expensive?" he asked.

"Um, you also have to pay for my cad fare? Hello? That's not free." I said.

"Hell no I'm paying for your tax fare, that's your fault you spill that tomatoe sauce on me." he said.

"Fine, than pay $23.98."

He laughed, "Wow, what a great discount? A discount of a penny."

"Enough chit-chatting Christopher Columbus, now hand over the money." I said.

"Christopher Columbus?" he mumbled and chuckled quietly. "Here, I'll just give you $24."

"Good enough." I said and snatched the money from his hand. "Now I need to go to the neighbors and give them their presents."

"You brought them?" he asked.

"Yeah, on the way to the dry cleaner I stopped and brought them."

"What did you get them?" he asked.

"Chocolate, a gift card, a let's - be - great - neighbors card, a recipe book and a great facial cream." I said, smiling at my wonderful gifts.

"Well, you better hurry and give them their gifts, Santa Claus." Sebastian said and started laughing at his own joke.

"You are a true corny guy." I said, shaking my head as I left the house.

"Whatever, just go." he said.

"Lock the door!" I yelled as the walked out the front door.

The walked down as house and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" I hear a fainted shout coming from the house.

"Hey! Mrs. White! It's me, your neighbor, Candice Rose!" I yelled down.

The front door opened and there stood an early 50 or late 40 year old lady.

"Oh Candice! It's so nice to meet to finally meet you." Mrs. White excalimed when she saw me.

"Yeah, me too! Mrs. White, I got you a gift." I said holding it up so she can see it.

"That's so sweet of you, my darling!" Mrs. White said, "Oh, I got you something too. Wait here."

She ran inside the house and quickly came back with a basket.

"Here are some homemade cookies." Mrs. White said. "There are chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookie, sugar cookies, double chocolate chip cookies, and a lot more."

"Thank you so much, Mrs. White. I will eat them well." I said.

"Awhh, you're such as sweet, beautiful child." she said as she pinched one of my cheeks.

I winced a little.

"Boy Mrs. White, you got some might strength." I said as I try to keep some distances between me and her.

She laughed a little to her.

"Well, I'll see you around." I said.

She nodded and she said bye before shutting the door.

I walked down house and knocked on the front door.

"Hey, Sebastian, open up." I yelled.

"Wait a second." he shouted.
