Chapter 14

                Janet

                I’m still tied to the chair. Jonny hasn’t used the gun, as he promised but he’s getting more and more agitated and anxious. He keeps looking out the window. Soon enough, we hear police cars outside his house. In my head, I am jumping for joy but then it stops when Jonny starts to walk towards me. He grabs hair in the back of my head and pulls my face close to his. “I really love you.” He whispers, and he pushes his lips against mine. I pull away in disgust, not caring that he‘s still grabbing my hair. He signs and goes to look outside. “Well, look at this. We have an audience for our final act.” My face pales as I figure out what he means. “Jonny,” I whisper, trying not to set him off, “I don’t want this. I would rather be able to breathe and live.” Jonny shakes his head and takes out the safety from the gun. I whimper as he gets closer. He unties me and the first thing I do is push him and try to grab the gun but he hits me across the face before I could get it. I fall to the ground and he picks me up from the arm, “Alright, sweetie, let’s begin our show.” This is it. I can’t believe I’m dying today. Before I was able to tell Jacob that I love him. “Leave her alone you asshole!” I look at the backdoor and see that it’s Jacob. He races towards Jonny, before Jonny could react and throws the gun away. Then Jacob punches Jonny and kicks him in the stomach when he’s on the floor. One second later the police come in and hold Jonny and Jacob. Everything happened so fast. “No! He’s the one that save me.” The police look at me and release Jacob. Jacob rushes to me and unties me. Tears are running down my face as I wrap my arms around his neck. “Jacob! I love you. I know that you’re with Judy now, and I have no chance but I just had to tell you.” He hugs me back just as tightly, “Janet, I love you too. I broke up with Judy, well her names Alex now. Don’t say that you don’t have a chance because you’re the only one that has any chance.” Jacob kisses me.

 

Epilogue

Janet and Jacob are together for the rest of high school. Ricky and Janet’s parents have accepted Jacob as her boyfriend. Janet and Jacob went to different colleges but they still spent time together. Eventually, they will get their careers, get married, have a family, and live happily ever after.
