Food chart for people with diabetes

The vegetables mentioned here are tropical vegetables which are easily available in Tamil Nadu, South India.

 

Start to have the specified food items after the new moon day or full moon day.

The day after Full moon or New moon - banana stem curry

2nd day – Ivy gourd or kovakai curry

3rd day - sirukeerai leaves or tropical amaranthus (along with dhal)

4th day - banana flowers curry

5th day - boiled noolkol or kholrabi

6th day - avaraikai or elephant ear beans

7th day - one handful of thulasi or basil leaves + a few black pepper

8th day - 1 dried gooseberry + water

9th day - methi leaves curry

10th day - bitter gourd curry

11th day - fresh green chundaikai or turkey berry curry

12th day - white turnip or white mullangi - boiled

13th day - 21 leaves of Vilvam or stone apple + pepper

14th day - flowers of agathi keerai or humming bird tree leaves or august leaves curry or fresh, tender athi or figs

New moon - Skip food for one time

Full moon - Neerakeerai curry

On the particular days mentioned, have it as food in the morning. Lunch and dinner can be as usual.
