SCENE 1
On stage, there are two cages. One is empty and Nadia is in the other. Her clothes are tattered and stained with blood. One side of the stage has a well arranged cluster of furniture that should be the setting of the court. Down stage are crowds of people who have frozen and not part of the present setting; anytime there is a court proceeding, the crowd comes back to life
Nadia is in a cage surrounded by a wire mesh. She seems to be in deep thought. She turns and twists with anxiety and tiredness. She bangs the cage and screams hysterically.
Nadia: I have tried not to think about it but apparently I can’t. My flesh is intact but my blood; with pain it bleeds of loath, disgust and self pity. As sexy as you might think I look; I see myself as dirt, dirtier than the volcanic sand. I know you don’t believe me, in fact I know you think I am insane. You think what you want and let me think what I want. What the hell, it won’t be written on my back.
Nina: (gets on stage and listens tot Nadia, she is shadily dressed) don’t tell me you have been talking to them?
Nadia: Who?
Nina: You always tell me that people are watching you. Listening to everything you are saying. I am not seeing anyone.
Nadia: Then you are insane just like them who think I am.
Nina: Nadia, I think this is becoming too much. I hate this prison you have enclosed yourself into.
Nadia: Oh you think I did, right? Just like the rest of them?
Nina: Who are the rest of them?
(The scene changes to court)

SCENE 2
(Flashback to the court proceedings the crowd comes back to life and each one of them assumes that they are in a court. There are different kinds of people with different costumes representing different countries. The clerk is in a dark suit and on her table are papers and a laptop)
Clerk: Arise! (The crowd stands up as a stern judge walks in. He is dressed in a judge attire. He looks old and with numerous wrinkles) honorable judge, Mr. Bile Richards, presiding! (He sips a cup of tea, checks on his watch, jots something down and clears his throat).
Judge: May the prosecutor proceed.
Prosecutor: (he has the prosecutor costumes and an exam pad on his hand that has numerous papers clustered together.
