"Uhn....what a strange dream...." I mutter rubbing my eyes, burying my face in the delightfully warm pillow in a forlorn goodbye before getting up at last and head to the kitchen to make oatmeal. Greeting my parents a good morning, I eat before rushing into my room to get dressed. "Quarter of Seven!" Mom calls out. I brush my hair and grab a hair elastic, wrapping it around my wrist as I head down the hall, grab my backpack and swung it around my shoulders before getting in the truck and make my way to Oleander High.
Once I get to the lobby, I plop my bag down with a sigh, Tyler instantly moving to sit beside me and wrap his arms around me. "How did you sleep?" "I slept nice~" I reply dazedly. Next thing I know, Amanda's in front of me talking about anime parodies and random songs that can get stuck in one's head, today was a typical day.
English class came and went and soon I had studyhall with Tyler, but as usual he went to the library to work on homework he hadn't completed last night. No fresh ideas that could be added to any of the stories I'm working on came to me, so I just sat there and listened to music on my ipod. Suddenly, this bald man wearing a brown trench coat made his way towards the building. My eyes followed him as he walks through the doors and just looks around in the lobby. Suddenly, his eyes spot mine and I jumped, hairs on the back of my neck standing on end. He makes his way over to the seat across from me. Despite the ear buds blasting Sleepthief from my ears, I could clearly hear him ask "May I sit down." "Sure." I shrugged as he obliges. I then took out the earbuds, not wanting to be rude in case if he wants to strike up a conversation. Then after a while, he whispers, "This is going to sound crazy, but it is absolutely essential that you believe me." I look at him curiously. "Your friends and yourself have been chosen. You five are the ones to save this world using the powers of the Zodiac." My curious gaze morphed to that of a skeptical one, "The Zodiac, you mean like Astrology?" The bald stranger nodded. "My name is Alpha, my brother Omega and I grew up in the ways of the Zodiac. We were to be the next guardians of the signs, but then one day something happened. Omega always hated that we were restricted to just these signs, even after mother and father explain that we mustn't be greedy and control over all of the constellations. One night, Omega was trying to steal Hydra from the sky, luckily Libra on my bedside table had the right scale clash down, signifying something was out of balance. I checked up on my brother and I caught him in the act. He was apprehended and punished to remain on earth. But he still wielded Hydra and his own sign Scorpio when he was sent here. Now I fear the earth could be in grave danger. You, however, can save the world along with your friends." Alpha explained. "And why should I believe you?" I ask carefully. "Remember the dream you had?" My face then turned serious. "How did you know about that?" "I was the one who sent the dream to you. Heather, born under the sign of Aries, you must help me in stopping my brother from putting an end to this world-" "Heather?" Tyler asks. I jump as I look at him. "Hey, you're all done?" Tyler nods, peering around the corner. "Who were you talking to?" "Oh, Tyler this is A-" I turn, but he disappeared. "Where did he go?" I wonder.
