1 Corinthians: 13 These are the Sayings of ST Paul and it speaks of love in the most enduring and ardent terms.
If I speak in the tongue of men and of angels and yet have no love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of Prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and have faith to move mountains and yet have no love, I am nothing.
If I give all I posses to the poor and surrender my body to the flames and I have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient and kind; it does not envy; it does not boast and it is not proud.
Love is not self-seeking; it is not easily angered and it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects; always trusts; always hopes; always perseveres.
Love never fails. Where there are prophecies they will cease: where there are tongues they will cease: where there is knowledge it will pass away.
This is the core of Biblical Teaching. It is said by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a Sermon on the Mount.
Blessed are the poor in Spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the Meek for they shall inherit the Earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the Merciful: for they shall obtain Mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.
Blessed are the Peacemakers for they shall be called the Children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for Righteousness sake for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Mark 11:24: ‘Whatever you have asked in Prayer, believe you have received it and it will be yours’
