Deaf Robber

Augest 1995,

Klaus Schmidt robbed a bank in Berlin by walking in with a gun and demanding cash and threatning the employees. So far this is pretty much old classic bank robbery scene. As the robbery progressed the employees noticed that the criminal was acting strange, so one of the employees pointed out if Klaus needed a bag for the cash and then he replied with "You'r damn right it's a real gun!"

The Bank employees realized that the robber was deaf. The employees took advantage of his disability and set off the alarm ( its was clear and loud). Klaus remained oblivious. Even if the alarm was loud and the police approach the bank Schmidt remained calm and patient while spitting out threats.

When the police arrived, Schmidt was arrested on the spot and took into custody, Schmidt tried to defend himself by sueing the bank for exploiting his disability.
