Chapter One

Jessica

A lot has changed since the loss of our late, great companion in our good old organization. A few new additions to our crew, and the constant thirst for revenge was forever raging like a wildfire in our bellies for our recently departed. Among some of the new recruits were a few familiar figures such as Samantha Weston, Thomas’s sister, and Chris Zenter who was a mud brown wolf who happened to live in my same neighborhood back when I was living in Frisco and unknown to me for a while, had been living here ever since he moved in with his aunt nearly four years ago. That being said, Cody and I had both planned a very special initiation mission just for them. We made our way south down Chase Street in Cody’s Escalade right down into Kings territory where we soon found the manor of their inglorious leader, Rudolf Kane. Just as planned, I simultaneously handed each of them a grenade from the glove compartment up front and within only a moment’s notice, they pulled the pins and chucked them almost at the same time through the upstairs window of the coyote’s large estate and soon the fireworks began. Seconds later, the shit hit the fan and the bullets started flying as a slew of Kings Coyotes began flooding out of the large house and into the courtyard, spraying at us from all sides. I aimed down the red dot sight of my AR-15 and immediately began picking off each of the coyotes one by one along with Bennett and the rest of the crew as Cody slammed on the gas and got us the hell out of dodge quick and quietly before anyone could even whisper a word.

Chapter Two

We pulled up outside the large Bank Of America building on Lafayette Avenue and made sure our weapons were all locked and loaded before taking in a few deep breaths to ready up as we stepped out of the Escalade and began to slowly make our way toward the double doors of the main entrance. “Alright.” I said, affixing the black ski mask and goggles to my face and slowly pulling back the charging handle on my AR-15. “Everybody know the game plan?” All of my comrades around me nodded their heads affirmatively and Humphrey responded with, “The usual?” “You got it.” I answered. He nodded and grabbed his sniper rifle. “Roger. Taking up overwatch.” “Okay, ya’ll.” I said. “Time to earn us some bread.” “Everyone get down on the floor now!” Cody yelled out as we burst in through the front door, guns focused carefully on the three tellers and security guard in front of us. “Ya’ll know what this is now lay down nice and easy and everybody walks outta here all in one piece.” Sam and Cody kept a close eye on them while Chris and I gradually made our way back to safe room where after blasting open the vault door with some carefully placed C4, we stormed inside and immediately began cramming our rucksacks with oodles and noodles of cash wads until they were nearly piled sky high to the top and practically overflowing with the grip. We turned and were just making our way toward the exit door at the main entrance when we heard sirens approaching from the outside. “Alright,” Cody said, annoyed. “Who was the wise ass that hit the panic button?” No one answered. I then raised my AR-15 and put bullets in nearly every one of the four souls that were still sprawled out just as we’d demanded them on the floor, making extra sure to get one to the head on the security guard that had made an attempt at going for his gun at the last second right after I downed one of the tellers. We made a break for the exit doors but before we could even get more than two and a half feet outside, Baltimore’s finest had already shown up on scene and approached us with their guns drawn, barking out orders for us to drop everything in our paws and get down on the ground before zero. You know, the typical five o routine like you see in the movies and shit. We stood there and stared each other down for what seemed like nearly an eternity but before anyone could even think of making a move, a single shot rang out from the distance to our left and within a matter of seconds, one of the cop’s heads was suddenly reduced to nothing but a red, bloody mess. The same thing eventually happened to his partner and then the one in front of me until soon the only living souls that happened to be out on that street corner at the time were only us four. “That should do it, guys.” Humphrey voiced over the radio. “You can work your way towards me now and we can begin making our clear and grand escape.” “God bless you, man.” I replied. “Sure is a damn good thing to have you on the team.” We made our way over to the fire escape of a nearby building where Humphrey quickly clambered down and hopped into the back seat of Cody’s Escalade where we then got the hell out of dodge before anyone could even take the time to notice a thing that went down.

Chapter Three

Humphrey

We spent the whole rest of the night celebrating our recent victories at our most favored establishment, Buddy’s Bar and Grill just on the corner of Lexington. By the time we all returned to the clubhouse, we did so tipsy and yet still ready to part on. As for me, I was up for a little down time and calling it a night. After spending some time counting the many wads of Benjamins we’d collected from our most recent heist, Cody jumped to his feet off the little reclining chair he’d been sitting on in the corner and headed toward the door with the rest of the crew. He stopped about half way and then turned to me. “Hey, Humph. You deserve a little break. Why don’t you come on over to my place for a while? We’ve got merlot.” “Nah. I think I’m gonna catch up on a little shut eye for a while.” I responded. “I’ll catch up with you night owls later.” “Suit yourself, homie.” He answered. “See you then.” They left and I was soon greeted by the comforting silence of an empty house and took it as an opportunity to wash up with a long, hot shower and get dressed in my night clothes consisting of a sleeveless tee and some sweatpants to begin drifting off into a quiet and tranquil sleep. I wasn’t able to slumber that deeply for long because about ten or twenty minutes after my head hit the pillow of my bed, the doorbell rang. I drowsily rose to my feet and slowly made my way over to the door and yanked it open, only to reveal the very bane of mine and my comrades’ existence, Rudolf Kane and two of his other coyotes awaiting me on my doorstep. “Yoohoo.” He purred in his usual oily tone. “Did ya miss me?” Before I could even do a thing to react, one of his men stepped forward and held a dark colored cloth up to my face which had a rather peculiar odor and within a few seconds, the world soon turned blurry and faded into black nothingness around me.
