laine sat in the long soft green grass under her favorite willow tree. The breeze blew brushing gently across her skin. It carried the sound of birds chirping away. She looked up at the valley that surrounded her. It was magnificent. A swift stream lined with aspen trees flowed throughout the center, of the valley. She took a deep breath and listened to the blissful lapping and pounding of the water. She could almost taste the honey in the air, from the nearby hive. It was mid spring, so the flowers were just blooming in beautiful reds, yellows, purples and pinks. The air smelt heavy of lilacs, violets and sweet peas. Her eyes wandered toward the top of the hill where a small figure was tumbling down it. Suddenly, she was knocked over and rolled down the remainder of the slope, stopping just before the stream. She looked straight into the culprit’s eyes, her little brother Adrian. Elaine got up brushing off her dress and broke into a full sprint
"I'm going to murder you” she yelled. Adrian sped up and ran for his life.
"Only if you can catch Me" he yelled back. A sweet irritated but calm voice drifted down the hill.
"Elaine" it called. Elaine stopped dead in her tracks and slightly glanced up the hill. Sure enough her mother’s beautiful figure was silhouetted against the sun set.
"You were supposed to be in an hour ago" Her mother Belle said in a stern
Voice
"I would like you to help me with dinner" she finished. Elaine began to trudge up the hill with hindrance. By the time, she reached her cottage the sun had set. She and her mom walked in and began to cook.Belle swiftly stirred the stew, smells of beef, and fresh vegetables filled the small cottage.
"Elaine could you go out and tell your brothers and sister it’s time to eat"she asked. Elaine opened the door
"Adrian, Jason, Elizabeth dinner time" she yelled.
Seventeen was too young to have to deal with matters of war. Amzock paced back and forth throughout the great hall.
“How could his father lose this war” he thought. His father the king would soon be overthrown by the neighboring country if he didn't do something about them. A shriek filled with pure terror came from his mother’s sleeping quarters. He sprinted toward her room and tore the curtain off the door frame. Inside his mother lay on the floor in a pool of blood. The thick red liquid was still gushing from the deep gash in her throat. She was horrifying white, her eyes wide open with fear her mouth frozen mid-scream. With his fists clenched he kneeled down beside her trying to hold back the tears. He couldn't risk losing both parents! He and his father had to leave quickly. Someone wanted them dead, but who? He could not sleep that night because every time he closed his eyes he saw his mother lying there lifeless and cold.
Elaine heard a commotion coming from outside, so she got dressed and went out to investigate. A carriage stood outside, which was surrounded by a large group of people. The carriage was plain brown, and the horses were tri colored, Elaine couldn’t understand what all the excitement was about. Then the carriage door swung open and out stepped a short semi chubby man with brown hair and a beard. Elaine recognized him immediately, it was the King. Elaine expected to see the Queen following, but instead a boy stepped out. He was a teenager not much older that her self. He looked about six foot tall and was as skinny as a stick. His hair was black and side swept, it slightly hung over his ears and into his eyes. His eyes seemed to tell a story of fear and depression. They were botomless amd mysterious. They consumed everything they saw. They were like the ocean, deep and green. He looked seriouse as if he never smiled. His lips were thin and drawn tight. His nose was perfectly sized to fit his face. It had a rounded tip and stuck straight out. His face in entirity was not chizled, and still had a sort of boyish charm. He was wearing black pants and a white long sleeve shirt. Around his waist was a gold belt, and he wore gold shoulder pads.
“Could someone lead me to my room” demanded the King.
As Amzock stepped out of the carriage, he spotted a young girl about 15. She was about three inches shorter than him. Her skin was extremely tan from being in the sun. She was fairly small waisted and had a large boosom. She had thick black hair that fell to her elbows. It was parted tp the right and occasionlly hung in her eyes. Her eyes were large with full curly black eyelashes. They were surrounded with a black charcole like substance. In her ice blue eyes, he saw pain, sarrow, and the need for revenge. She had big full lips that framed her beautiful smile. Her nose was small and flat with a rounded tip. Her face was round, her skin flawless. She had a hundred or so freckles covering her nose and cheeks. She was wearing a common brown and white dress with a laced bodice. The sleeves were tight to her elbows and lose the rest of the way down. She was barefoot. After his father demanded his room Amzock obediently followed. It had been a long journey, and he needed some rest. The next morning Amzock woke up to a knock on the door. He lethargicly rose.
“Coming” he yelled. He walked to the door and oppend it. Elaine stood outside fidgeting with her dress.
“Hi my name is Elaine; I thought I should show you around” Elaine meekly said. Amzock responded.
“Okay, but I’m going to need a moment to get dressed” With that Elaine waited outside. She had no idea what to do she had never met royalty before. As Elaine was pondering what to do, Amzock emerged from his cottage. His black hair hung in his eyes. He was wearing a white puffy shirt and pants tied up at the calf. Amzock leaned on the wall
“Are you ready” Elaine steadied herself on the other wall
“Y-” she tried to say, but she couldn’t speak, so she vigorously shook her head.they began walking toward the village. Elaine led him into the village, and they began the tour. They wenr by the blacksmith, the baker and many other store. Elaine greeted each person on the street with a smile. Hours later they were finished. She just wanted to show him one more place. She grabbed an old piece of cloth and tied it around his eyes Amzock tripped over a rock
“Where are you taking me” he asked.
“You’ll see” Elaine returned playfully She led him down a steep slope and into her valley. She untied Amzock’s blind fold. Amzock gazed around
“This is stunning” he said with awe.
“Come on put your feet in” Elaine stepped in the cold stream.
Amzock slipped off his shoes and stepped in. He scooped up a handful of water and splashed her. Elaine screamed and splashed him back. A little while later they were drenched. They raced to Elaine's favorite tree in hopes of drying off a little. Both plopped down out of breath. Elaine pushed Amzock“I beat you.”Amzock Returned the shove
“You did not” he said
“Yes, I-” Before she could finish Amzock leaned into kiss her. Suddenly Elaine hear a small voice from behind ask.
“What are you doing” Elaine jumped back standing behind her was her little seven year old sister Elizabeth.
“Um” Elaine stuttered.
“Lizzie why don’t you go home and play with your dolls” She finished.
Lizzie stood up straight a smirk spreading across her face
“I have a better idea, why don’t I go find mommy and tell her what you have been up to” she gigled.
“What do you want” Elaine glared at lizzie. Elizabeths eyes lit up.
“I want a pony” she demanded. Elaine stared at the little girl.
“How about this, I’ll teach you how to ride horses. Deal” Elaine Lizzie pondered the deal
“OK” she smiled. Elizabeth skipped off, Elaine stood up
“Why would you do that I don't even know you”she yelled in an huff. She stumbled up the hill
“I have to go.” Running into her cottage she swung the door open and collapsed onto her bed. Amzock got up and headed up the hill feeling like crap. There was somthing diffrent about her and he had just blown it. The next morning Elaine’s head was still spinning, maybe she had just dreamed the whole entire kiss, maybe it had never happened. She got dressed and headed outside. When she was leaving she ran into Amzock, it was not a dream.
“Good morning.” Elaine said in her fake cheerful voice. She walked past him towards the village. Amzock leaned on the door
“Where are you going” he asked. Elaine began to walk
“To the village.” Amzock stood up straight
“Arn’t you supposed to be my guide” he questioned.
“Are you coming or are you just going to stand there like your feet are glued to the ground.” She yelled back at him as she kept walking. Amzock jogged up to her, and eagerly followed her
“So what are we doing today” he asked. Elaine glanced back at him with holding a smirk
“Well, I have chores, what you do is your choice, I bet Isaac has something for you to do.” Amzock’s pace slowed
“You mean the blacksmith” he asked in utter dispare.
“Yep! I’ll even walk you there” she said as she slightly changed corse and headed for Isaac’s place.
“Were here.” Elaine paused in front of a small brick building. A tall man with curly air emerged from the threshold. Elaine reached out to shake Isaac's hand
“Good Morning, Isaac, I have someone to help you today.” Elaine glanced at Amzock.
“This is Amzock.” Isaac glanced down at Amzock
“Pleased to meet you” said Isaac in a husky voice. Elaine turned and began to walk away
“Well, I have chores to tend, so I must be going. Have fun boys” she said sarrcasticly. The two stood their silently, looking at each other until Isaac spoke up
“ I guess I’ll start with a tour.” He walked into the building, and Amzock fallowed. It was a small building, only three rooms. The first room was a store, the walls were lined with weapons and tools. On the floor sat several pieces of iron furniture. In the very back of the room was a wooden counter, placed on top was a medium iron box with a key lock on top. Isaac informed Amzock this was where he kept the money, but only Isaac had a key. Behind the counter was a door. Isaac led him through the door into a room filled with many large tubs of water. In one of the tubs was an iron chair. On the right side of the room was another door. This door was made of steel with a large bolt lock on it. Amzock pointed toward the door
“What is in there” he asked
“The forges” Isaac semi-grunted. Isaac walked toward the door and threw a pair of leather gloves and a leather apron at Amzock. When Amzock was ready, Isaac unbolted the door. Instantly Amzock felt the heat rush past him. They walked into the room. Three massive deep fireplaces stood near the walls. A gargantuan anvil sat in the middle of the room. On the left wall hung about two dozen different blacksmithing tools. Issac looked at Amzock
“My striker is home sick, so I suppose you can do that” he said. Amzock replied with a stubble nod. Soon they started working. Isaac would hold the metal with the tongs and Amzock would strike it with a hammer. They continued on like this for two or three hours until Isaac had to make a delivery. After a few minutes Amzock became bored, so he heated up a piece of steel and began hammering. A few hours later when Isaac returned, he found Amzock admiring a beautiful double edged sword with a dragon poised on top.
“Did you make that” Isaac questioned confused.
“Ya” Amzock replied. They both stood silently and admired the sword. Soon after Isaac returned it was closing time. The two said goodbye and Amzock left to go find Elaine. After hours of searching. Amzock had still not found her, so he returned to his father. Elaine sat under the tree tears streaming down her cheek as she stared her fathers ring tied around her neck. She remembered the day, five years ago. Elaine saw son something in the distance. Twelve people in black cloaks approached her town.
“Elaine get inside” her father Fabian screamed as he pulled out a dagger. Elaine's mother Belle grabbed her arm and pulled Elaine into the house. She locked the door and shut the curtains. Elaine pushed aside the curtain and looked outside. Fabian was standing face to face with one of the people in cloaks. Suddenly Fabian fell to the ground. For what seemed like minutes Elaine's gaze was locked with the man in the black cloaks piercing green eyes. She would never forget that face the right of him was a woman in a black cloak. A look of fear spread across her face. Quickly she motioned for the people in the cloaks to leave. A shiver spread across Elaine what could scare such a ruthless creature. They were gone Elaine raced out the door, the town was destroyed people lay everywhere. Elaine walked over to her father and nudged his shoulder.
“Daddy you can get up now there all gone” she said.
“Daddy” she said a little more worried, she nudged him again.
“Daddy” she couldn't understand why he wouldn't wake up. Belle walked over to Elaine.
“ I’m sorry daddy wont be waking up” her mother chocked out tears running down her cheeks.
“Elaine” A voice called out. Suddenly Elaine was yanked from her flashback, back into reality. Amzock was standing in front of her.
“Ya I'm fine" she replied.
“Are you sure cause I'm sure crying means you are not" he responded.
"It's just something that happened a long time ago, I rather not talk about it. She replied.
"Oh" Amzock sighed. Somthing told him not to push her.
"I've got to get going" Elaine said as she got up and started up the hill. Amzock got up and trudged after her. The next morning Elaine woke up to find Amzock loading up a horse for what looked like a long journey. She raced out the door up to him. Elaine came up behind Amzock
"What are you doing." Amzock nearly jumped 6 feet high
"What are you doing here!"Elaine stepped back
"Wondering what you are doing!" Irritated Amzock turned back to his horse
" I'm going somewhere."Elaine giggled
"No, duh. I want to know where you are going"Amzock turned and looked back at her "To find someone"Elaine's eyes widened
"Who" Amzock looked back over his shoulder
"None of your business"
"Can I come with you" She asked?
"None of your business means none of your business, of course you can't come" He yelled! Elaine went back into the house and watched Amzock ride off into the Forrest. Elaine sat there and thought. Maybe she could fallow him, but then again it was dangerous.
It seemed like he'd had been traveling for hours. Maybe he was lost, every tree looked the same. Amzock stopped his horse. He heard something. Again he heard it, foot steps. Amzock de-mounted his horse and lead it behind the brush. Amzock his behind a tree quietly waiting for the intruder to near. The step got closer and closer. Amzock waited a couple seconds the jumped put and tackled the person. The struggle went on for only a matter of seconds, for Amzock was quite stronger that the person. Amzock looked down a look of surprise spread across his face, beneath his was Elaine. Quickly Amzock jumped up
" What are you doing" Amzock yelled. Elaine sat up
" I decided I wanted to come" she responded. Amzock glared at her
" I said you couldn't." Elaine stood up and brushed of her dress
"Your not in charge of me!" Amzock tired to his horse and muttered
"Technically I am!" Elaine smirked
"Well your stuck with me now."Amzock spun around
" You are not coming with me, you are going home." Elaine glanced at her feet
" I don't know the way back I would get lost." Amzock grumbled and mounted his horse
"Are you coming” Elaine softly mounted and rode off behind him. They had been traveling for hours, With no idea of where they were going
“So where exactly are we going” Elaine asked. Amzock turned to look at her.
“Well. I'm not quite sure” he responded.
“What do you mean you are not-” she was interrupted by Amzock
“Shhhhh” he hissed.
“Don’t Sh-” Amzock ended her sentence again.
“Shut Up” he whispered. Then Elaine heard it. Voices, there were voices coming from behind them. Amzock pulled Elaine off her horse and shoved her into the brush. Taking the horses reins he also went into the brush. Not a moment too soon had the disappeared than two darth lords came down the path.
“Did you take care of the boy” one asked the other.
“No, I ran into a small problem” the second responded.
“Risn! She is not going to be happy!”
“I know Taym.”
“What happened?”
“His mother, she tried to stop me. I killed her, but by then I was sure he had heard me. There was no way I could have finished him off.”
Elaine glanced through the brush at the darth lords walking by. There capes hanging down there backs. She looked the second one in the eye’s. His piercing green eyes looked right through her. Piercing green eyes, eyes that she had seen before. Suddenly she remembered, it was him. The one who killed her father. The blood in her veins boiled. She took a step forward. Two arms wrapped around her waist, and a hand covered her mouth.
“Elaine” Amzock whispered into her ear.
“Snap out of it” he exclaimed. Elaine came back to reality.
“Let me go.”
“Not until you agree to stay put.”
“Fine I won't move, but we have to fallow them.”
“Ya.” The two patiently waited for the darth lords to be far enough away. They fallowed the darth lords for hours until they finally saw it. The darth lord camp.
“Stop” Elaine said as she placed her arm in front of Amzock.
“We can’t just waltz in” she continued.
“Ya. I know, we need a plan” Amzock responded. They set up camp for the night and began on a plan.
“Surprise is our best element. So we are going to need disguises” Amzock commented.
“What is our goal” Elaine asked.
“To get in, kill Risn, and get out.”
“Who’s Risn?”
“The darth lord. Remember”
“Oh ya.” They finished the plan and fell asleep. The next morning Elaine woke up with fear in her heart. She knew what the darth lords could do, she had seen it before.
“Amzock” she said as she shook him awake. Amzock grumbled and rolled over. She tried harder to wake him. Eventually, he did get up. They got ready and put their plan into action. Amzock, being male, was able to walk in without problems. Elaine, on the other hand, had to climb over the high walls surrounding the camp. As soon as Amzock stepped in he saw him. Risn, there standing in front of him. Elaine saw Amzock, she immeaditly recognized the look in his eye’s. It was vengence, ther ewas no way she could stop him. Amzock lunged for Risn, and chaos followed. Darth lords rushed for wepons as the two confronted.
“So you caught me” Risn taunted.
“You killed my mother, you rotten no good pig” Amzock screamed.
“So what are you going to do about it little boy.” Amzock drew his sword.
“Oh thats cute, but I hope you relize you have bigger problems than me. She wants you dead” with thoes words Risn dissapered.
“Shit” Amzock yelled when he saw ten darth lords coming after him. Suddenly his world went black.
Elaine rushed out the exit. She turned around to see amzock consumed by darth lords. She was going to have to go back and find some way to rescue him.
Amzock woke up in a dark room. His head pounded , and his body ached. His stomach growled as he wondered how long he had been out, and when was the last time he had eaten. He felt around, it was cold and damp. Amzock assumed he was in an underground cell. He heard steps, and then a bright light streamed down through an overhead door. A couple pieces of stale bread and dry jerky fell through the opening. Amzock scrambled to the food and stuffed his face. Voices echoed down through the cell.
“What did she say” A female voice asked.
“She was angry. She said keep him, and she will come down and take care of him herself” a male voice responded
“When will she be her?”
“Three to four days.”
Elaine continued her search for help. It had been two days since he had been captured. She knew, she could not get him back on her own. Elaine kept walking, then she fell into a large hole. When she hit the botom she blacked out.
Elaine opened her eyes, everything was blurry. As soon as her eye cleared, she saw a little man. He was about five foot tall.
“Ah! your awake” the man said in a british acsent.
“Um? Who are you” Elaine asked.
“My name is Erlick.”
“Um okay, awsome. Do you want to tell me why I’m here?”
“Well you fell into one of our traps.”
“Wait there is more than one of you?”
“Ya, we are dwarves, your in turin.”
“How long have I been out?”
“About a day.”
“Crap! Amzock!”
“Who’s Amzock?”
“My friend, he was captured by darth lords. I was trying to find help to save him.”
“I’ll help you, and I can see if anyone is willing tag along.” Elaine stood up quickly, but then fell right back down.
“Careful there” Erlick warned.
“You have been out for awhile, take a second to breathe.” Elaine sat up, and then slowly got up. She finally got a chance to look around. She was in a small hut, only one room. At the furthest b right corner was a small bed and a side table. Just north of the bed was two sitting chairs and a fireplace. In the lefthand corner was a small table and four chairs. On the wall by the table was several shelves and cabnites stocked with food. When she finally stood up a small object came running at her. It knocked her onto the bed. It was a puppy. A small slobbery tounge washed over her face.
“Budrick! No” Erlick called to the small puppy. Elaine got a good look at the squirming pup. He was just about as big as a . He had big floppy ears and a long snout. His fur was chocolate color. Elaine could immeadiaty tell he was a huntting dog.
“He’s adorable” she exclaimed.
“Ya I have had him for about a week. He is a lot of trouble.”
“He looks like he gets into a lot” Elaine laughed as the puppy ran around the room.
“So back to saving your friend. When I found you, you did not have any weapons, did you lose them?”
“Well, honestly I don’t have any weapon.”
“Um, do you know how to use any weapons?”
“No, not really.”
“Then I guess we will start by choosing your weapon.” Elaine and Erlick left his house. Elaine looked around the town. It was very small, but cute. Every house was diffrent. They walked down the street and into the town square. There was a baker’s, a seamstresses, a small cafe and a blacksmith’s. in the middle of the town people had produce carts and grain carts. Elick led her to the blacksmith’s. They walked into the shop. A drwarf with rough hands and a soft smile greeted them.
“Good morning Derin” erlick called to the man.
“Good morning” Derin responded.
“How can I help you?”
“Well my friend here is in need of a weapon.”
“Okay, what kind of weapon?”
“Well were are not really sure, so I was thinking we could try out a few.’
“Okay, lets go out back then.” The three went outside behinde the small building into a field. Darin brought three weapons, a short sword, a two handed sword and a bow with a few arrows. Darin handed her the double handed sword.
“Here try this” he said. Elaine held the sword , and immeaditly the tip fell to the ground. The sword was too heavy and uncomfertable. Darin took the sword back and handed her the short sword. It was lighter, so she swung it. Her swing was off and very uncontroled.
“Okay maybe swords are not for you.” He took the sword and handed her the bow
“Three times the charm” Elaine smiled. She loaded the bow and aimed for the target in the field. She let go of the string, and the arrow went flying through the air hitting the second ring of the board. A smile spread across Darins face.
“Your a naturall” he said.
“Hey darin, I was wondering if you were looking to go on a quest possibly” Erlick asked.
“What kind of quest” Darin responded. Elaine procceded to explaine what happend. DArin briefly thought and agreed. By the time they had finished gathering supplies, they had also gathered 30 other dwarves. 32 dwarves against 20 darth lords, they did not have much of a chance. They would attack the next day. Sleep that night was hard, but required. The next morning she woke up and got dressed, relizing that many people would die that day. She exited the small cottage to see Erlick gathering the troops.
“Good morning Elaine, are you ready ” he said in his fimiliar british acsent.
“Ready as I will ever be” she replied. The dwarves wore clothes that disgused them astrees and brush. They would come out and attack on Elaines signal. She was to sneak in and find Amzock. Once she found him she would give the signal and the dwarves would attack and distract the darth lords. Once she got in she looked around. If I was a darth lord where would I hide my prisoner she thought. Then she saw it, a hole in the ground covered by a heavy metal grate. The prison was watched by two gaurds. Elaine gave the signal. A loud whistle echoed through the camp. Dwarves rushed in swords high. Darth lords scattered collecting weapons defending themselves from the tiny, but visiouse men. The two darth lords absent mindedly left the prison. Elaine rushed over to the prison, pulled a pin out of her hair and began to fidgit with the lock.
Amzock heard the large lock click open. The large gate opened and light flooded in. He prepared himself for death.
“Amzock, Amzock are you down there” Elaine’s voice echoed down into the chamber.
“Elaine” Amzocked questioned.
“ No nitwit, It’s your consience. Of course it’s me dumbass. Now get your ass up here.” Amzock meekly climbed the stairs to the top and fell into Elaine’s arms. Elaine looked at him, he was pale and sickly.
“We have to go” Elaine exclaimed. Amzock looked around there were puddles of blood everywhere. There was no way Elaine could carry him. So he got up and began to limp towards the exit. Elaine got up and fallowed him. She grabed her bow and began to shoot off arrows at the darth lords coming near them. As soon as they went through the exit several dwarves were waiting for injured others. They took Amzock, and Elaine went back into the camp. She looked around and saw Erlick quickly being overpowered by a darth lord. Elaine pulled out her bow just as the darth lord sqewered Erlick with a sword. Elaine shot her arrow at the darth lord and picked up an abandoned sword. Anger swelled through her veins as she took off towards the darth lord, the adrinilin powering her. She took one large swing and beheaded the fowl creature.
“Erlick” she cried picking up the small mans shoulders in her hands. His breath was heavy and light was fading from his eyes.
“Elaine” he muttered
“Yes?”
“Take care of Budrick please.”
“Of course I will” Elaine sobbed.
“I died a hero, didn’t I? I always wanted to die a hero.” With thoes words Erlick breathed his last breath.
“Yes, Yes you did” Elaine cried, eventhough Erlick could no longer hear her. Elaine grabed Erlick’s body and ran out looking back to see all the darth lords dead, except a few who had fled. She kicked over two torches, sending the camp up in flames. She sat down Erlick’s body tears coming from her eyes. She glanced around, dwarves were stacked to carry back to town. The law of Turin was the family was to burry there loved ones body. Erlick had no family, so Elaine took his burial as her responsibility. The walk back to Turin was a march of honor for thoes who had died. When they arived back, Elaine entered Erlick’s cabin. When she walked in, Budrick jumped on her, knocking her on to her butt, and washing her face with his soft tounge. When he was done, Budrick sat by the door waiting for Erlick to come through. Elaine’s heart sank as she watched him wait. She exited the cottage with a shovel. She found a nice spot on top of a hill. The hill looked out over the town of Turin and was covered with wildflowers. She began to dig, the hole was quite small. When she was done she placed the tiny body in the small hole covering him with dirt and filling in the hole. In her hand she held a small rock with these words:
Erlick Shutterck
1500-1534
A loving caring dwarf
Elaine said a small prayer, stuck the rock in the ground and layed his sword over his grave. Large gray clouds that covered the sky opened up and rain poured out. Elaine trudged back to the cabin, where Budrick was still waiting at the door. Elaine felt down as she crawled into bed and fell asleep. In the morning as she woke up, a thought hit her. What about Amzock, she had totally forgot about Amzock. She jumped out of beed and ran out the door. She headed towards the healers house knowin that is where Amzock would be. When she got there she knocked on the door. A little old lady came to the door.
“I’m looking for a human boy” Elaine said.
“”Ah. Does he go by Amzock” the lady asked.
“Yes” Elaine exclaimed. The little old lady led Elaine to a small bed.
“He was near death when they brought him to me, I did not think he would live.” Elaine glanced down at Amzock, laying in the bed. He was pale, but looking better.
“Don’t look at me like that” Amzock chocked out with a chuckle.
“”Like what” Elaine asked defencive.
“Like I’m a pitiful little creature. “
“I’m sorry, how are you feeling?”
“Defiantly better than yesterday.”
“Thats good” Elaine turned to the healer.
“How soon will he be ready to travel” she asked.
“A few days” the lady responded. The next few days were slow. Elaine spent half the day with Amzock and the other half collecting supplies. On the third day visiting Elaine and Amzock had a small disagreement about there destination.
“So, tomarrow we will leave for home.” Elaine stated.
“Why” Amzock exclaimed.
“Um, I don’t know. Where else would we go?”
“To find the fortune-teller, Nazgmi.”
“Why?”
“To fuigure out what that darth lord was talking about.”
“What do you mean?”
“Somebody wants me dead, and I’m going to find out who.”
“I’m not going with you to do that!”
“Well your either coming with me, or your going home.”
“Fine! I’ll come with you!” Elaine stomped off. The next day Amzock was ready to travel. Elaine gathered all the supplies and headed off to the healers cottage. With her she had Budrick. As soon as she opened the door he bolted in and onto Amzock’s bed.
“He’s cute” Amzock laughed.
“Ya” Elaine smiled.
“Now take him back!”
“Where?”
“To whoever gave him to you.”
“He was Erlick’s.”
“Well then you better find him a home, because he is not coming with us.”
“Why?”
“Because he could put us in danger.”
“No!”
“Yes!”
“Please!”
“No!”
“Please, please, please!”
“No, and thats final!”
“Please, I promise he won’t get in the way!”
“Ugggh! Fine keep him, but if he gets killed don’t come crying to me!”
