What is reality,
Is really not.

A train racing down the railroad
Is not a little boy riding his bike down the street.

A car accident on Transit
Is not World War Two.

A new piece of technology
Is not a teenage boy in biology class.

A gas price rising
Is not a middle-aged woman at work.


So, how is reality labeled,
Or why is it a word?

Because to me, getting good grades isreality,
But to you…
Dying of lung cancer is.

Because to me, a soccer game is reality,
But to you…
Going to Iraq to fight for our
country is.

Because,
What really is,
Isn’t.
