Cassie and Cage arrive at the hospital
“HELP! Please I need help!” shouts Cage.
“What happened here?” asked the EMT
“She was…it…was…” was all he could say.
“Suicide?”
“Yes”
Some near by people hear Cage and the EMT talking and they begin to cry.
“Please save her…”
“What’s your relation to the patient?”
“I’m her brother… she’s all I have and I am all she has.”
“She’s lost a lot of blood.” The EMT yells. What’s your name? He asks
“I’m Cage.”
“Ok cage, what is her name?”
“Cassie Marie<3” he said with such love.” Please I can’t lose her…”
“We’ll do all we can.” And without another word turns and walks away. Cage falls to the ground crying. And starts mumbling to himself. “I can’t lose her; she is the only one who has ever been there for meh. And I wasn’t there for her….”
“Excuse meh. Are you ok?” asked some random lady.
“No not at all.” He says putting his head in his hands and crying.”
“Well what’s wrong?”
“That girl they just took back there, her name is Cassie Marie<3 and she is my little sister... She’s only 15… she attempted suicide…and they said she lost a lot of blood and they have no idea whether she will make it or not……..she’s the only one who has ever been there for meh truly.. When she was 5 our mom left our dad and our dad…. And he went psycho… we have no idea where he is... It’s always been meh and Cassie Marie<3 against the world, and I am not prepared to let her go.”
“I am so sorry to hear that, why would she do such an awful thing?” asked the lady. “By the way, I am Lynn.”
“Lynn…nice to meet you that was my mom’s name…. and boys.”
“awweee, well I really hope that she makes it…”
“ meh too. And thank you.”
Lynn walks away leaving Cage there by himself to cry.
Cage thinks to himself “I can’t live without her, and I need her…”
Hour’s later Cage wakes up to someone hand on his shoulder…
“Hello?” he asked confused.
“Cage?”
“How do you know who I am?” and then he looks up and see’s….
“SHANE?!? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?”
“I need to talk to Cassie!”
“Well good luck because they said they don’t know if she’s going to make it… how could you do this too meh Shane? I could lose my sister… because you broke her heart...”
“what about Alec?”
“Oh don’t worry I’ll get him.”
“Look Cage please, let meh explain!”
“You have 4minutes.” He said through clenched teeth.
“When I went to that party I wasn’t expecting anything to happen, I wanted Cassie to come with meh, but she insisted that she would stay and make you feel better, because Tara had just broken up with you… I drunk to much and it just happened… I regret it so much... I want Cassie to forgive meh and take meh back but she won’t.”
“I wasn’t there for Cassie when she needed meh, but she has always been here for meh….I am a horrible brother…” he says crying. “If I would have listened to Cassie then none of this never would have happened……why is it that people regret how they acted when it’s too late. When someone’s life is hanging by a thread. And at any moment that thread could snap sending them downward….”
“Cage it’s not your fault.”
“It is Shane… it is…”
Just then the doctor walks out, “Who has relation to Ms. Cassie Marie?”
“That would be meh!” Cage shouts.
The doctor walks over. “Cassie is in critical condition...” he says with a sad node…” we aren’t positive whether she’ll make it or not… she will need blood transfusions… but she is barely alive, I am so sorry…”
Cage falls to the ground in tears.
“IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN HELP MY SISTER? I CAN’T LOSE HER….”
The doctor walks over and extends his hand to help Cage up.
“Are you ok Cage?”
“No… can I see her? Please”
The doctor signs…”right this way.”
Cage follows behind him. And there is a very pale Cassie Marie.
“Cassie!” Cage runs to Cassie.
“C-aa-g-eeee” Cassie says weakly.
“Are you ok?”
“No Cage, I’m going to die. I love you.”
“Cassie, you won’t die... you’ll be ok!!”
“I’m sorry Cage… The doctor told meh it was to late….I love you” she says with tears in her eyes.
“cassie, please don’t die… don’t leave meh here.”
“Cage”
Cage turns to see the doctor wiping his eyes.
“I am so sorry…but she’s right….she won’t make it.”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I CAN’T LOSE MY SISTER! PLEASE”
“I am so sorry Cage…it’s too late…” he says hugging Cage. “Is there anyone else out there that would like to talk to her? She doesn’t have long…”
“SHANE!!” Cage yells.
Shane runs towards Cage to find out whats wrong. “what is it Cage?” he approaches Cage with tears in his eyes… “Is it too late?”
“She’s going to die” says the doctor…
“ohh my god! Cage is her serious?”
“yeah.” Cage says crying…”yeah he’s serious….”
Shane turns to leave and before he goes he kisses Cassie…”I love you Cassie…”
“I love you too Shane” Cassie Whispers.
“Cassie Marie<3 you’ll always be my little sister, and I’ll be here with you till you stop breathing.” Cage grabs her hand and lays his head on her shoulder for hours they just lay like that. And then BEEEPPPPPPP she stops breathing. “I love you Cassie Marie<3” he whispers and kisses her on the cheek. “Forever”
And walks away with tears in her eyes.
“Cage!” Lynn yells
“Hi lynn” cage says wiping his eyes.
“how is Cassie?”
“She…she…didn’t make it…” he says bawling… “I… I have to go…”
Cage drives home and there is one new message on the phone.
“this is the hospital, we found an envelope that was addressed to you.”
Cage drives back to the hospital and the doctor brings out the note covered in blood.
“here you are” the doctor says and walks away…and then turns…”once again Cage I am very sorry about Cassie.”
Dear Cage,
I know we fight at times and I know we talk like we don’t love each other but you have been there for meh when mom and dad were not. I love you so much and I will miss you more than anybody. I want you to know that I have done everything to help you and that will never change, please don’t hate meh for all those times that I said I hate you. Because I didn’t mean it a single time I said it… I love you so much Cage best brother and that’s all that there is...

“oh my god” he says…”this was her goodbye note.” He says reading it over and over again…and then he writes one….
