The road isn't easy, I have no relation to any of the young wolves but i still feel it. The stress of leaving the others alone, the stess of finding loved children, the stress of not being grown up ourselves. We were all kids still and thats what smarted.
It was my turn driving, we figured everyone should give it a shot so everyone could sleep. Den was too scared of me hurting myseld that i whispered a spell compelling him to sleep. He started shouting for hunter seconds after i thought of it, I could still mentally hear Hunter chuckling.
'Good riddence his constant worring for you was driving me mad. Hes pushing it on all of us.' Mason muttered, lee elbowed him but i ignored them and wished Den a good night sleep. 'Shes just as bad as him...' Lee whispered snorting. Hunter quickly turned his mind away from us and i quickly pulled up my mind walls and concentrated on the roads. We were mere hours away now, I could almost smell the sweat. Feel the heat.
My body was shaking from it. Chase reached forward and placed his hand on my shoulder, he could feel it too - even if the others couldn't he somehow bypassed my gaurd. It was our past together, my mind remembered it as much as my body did. The sweat ran cold down my back. I closed my eyes for a second and found peace in Dens quiet mind.
WE WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THIS.
I followed Toris memory to as close as I could remember, but soon i had to get out of the truck. I jumped out and ran for the nearest hedge, where i emptied my stomach with regret. I needed the energy. I was terrified of facing my fear but I had too.
I closed my eyes and began walking in a random direction, I could smell the water vapour in the air, the fumes, the sweat, the fear, the piss but the strongest smell? The stench of death.
We all silently followed our noses into a perfectly normal looking libary, but as soon as the smell hit us we were all gagging. We had found them.
I shifted quickly and placed my nose to the floor, the kids were on the south side of the building but there were many bodies moving throughout.
Den, Chase follow the voices of the young. Mason, lee with me.
Max no - Den started to object, quietly I heard Hunter talk his own people telling who to go to what part of the building. Many weren't even going to the kids or straight to where the massies of hunters were. They were to slink around the building searching for traps or listening out for vital information.
