Child marriage should be stopped

 

Administration, public representative or Kazi are often sold even for a small amount of money. Incidents such as creating fake birth certificates and teaching marriages happen to a child.

Sometimes the marriage is done secretly. Child marriage mostly takes place at night. They resort to this ruse so that the administration does not find out.

But when a marriage takes place in a neighborhood or area, no matter how secret it is, the neighbors or many people in that community can know about it. But the issue of protest among us has decreased. We don't say anything because we might spoil the relationship with the neighbor.

But we also have a responsibility here. We should not go there if we get an invitation to a child marriage. If they are somehow made to understand that we did not participate because of child marriage, they will surely feel ashamed.

We can also naturally explain how child marriage is a heinous act and is a legally punishable crime. Attempts can be made to explain the extent of the health risk to the child.

But finally we can do another thing. I can inform the administration by calling the helpline number '109'. In this case, they must keep the identity of the informant confidential.

It is our responsibility to socially denigrate, avoid, boycott or prevent child marriage. We have to come forward thinking about the country.

A Story of entrepreneur

 

A young man named Saikat from Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur district has benefited by earning money from various species of fruit trees in ponds and pond production instead of chasing after his studies.

He became a successful entrepreneur in just three years. At present his monthly income is five lakh taka. Saikat is cultivating fish in six ponds on 20 bigha land.
