the brightest object

to reflect

in our skies at night

named after the roman goddess

she undresses herself

as we glare

at the brightest planet out there

her essence carries

love

and beauty

for every single soul to see

some call her

' earths sister '

she bears no moon

nor in any season, or bloom

one single day

in Venus

lasts longer than a year

down here

she is known

as the morning star, and evening

while we wonder

does anyone live in

her

and tonight

she will light up the heavens

so bright

she is the hottest planet

man has attempted

to

land on it
