so the doctor stated

girl

remember the last time ye fell

remember how hard you hit the floor

lock n key wait until next weeks score

 

you cant carry on 

remember, she would say

that

insanity, is doing the same thing everyday

and expecting a different result

 

i told her my insanity

is on vacation

she stared at me

with frustration

so i smiled back

 

knowing this,

I'll be back

next week with the same problem

shaking, faking another stomach ache

for some more advice

 

looking for a simple solution

to a simple problem

its all sober rated

she stated

you have an addiction

 

i told her

before, that it's not me

it's the world that has one

another kick, to the butt " is what you need"

i hurt, myself and your complex

 

so i change the subject

tell her I’m trying

she knows I’m lying

but we agree

next week you will see a new me

 

so i give up the bottle, for an hour

so i start dreaming about dreaming

off another bottle tonight

she wont know

and by morning, sure I'll have another cure

 

so it becomes the same

boring, repeat, again, again, repeat

open up a bottle of jack

this time i ain't coming back

it's all sober rated

 

and you hate it

because you are addicted

afflicted, with this job

you know that the pills

ain't no good

 

yet hand them out like smarties

look, i don't want

to be part , of this

big Pharma
