The Ports of Picca

Chapter 1: The ports of Picca

After three and a half days travel Corey and his companions finally reached Picca city. Unlike Walled City and Berg Picca didn’t have a tall stone wall protecting it. It was very open and not too far off were the ports. As they made their way thru the city they could see people of all races take to the streets. They entered an open air market before reaching the ports. “I like this market place.”

“Tell me about it Sonia.”

“What is it with girls and shopping?”

“Wally!”

“What?”

“While we’re here we might as well pick up a few things before getting to the docks.” Max said before the argument between Wally and the girls could escalate.

“Might as well. No telling how long we’ll be at sea.” Was Corey’s response.

“I second that. We might be able to learn which ships are heading for the southern tropics.” Came from Sonia. After an hour of shopping and talking they were able to learn which ships were departing for the southern tropics city of Mok. Gathering near the docks all five took to comparing notes on what their next move was.

“Ok there are four ships going to Mok. Which one do we want?” Was from Wally.

“Well two of them are merchant ships. Ones a ferry.”

“And the forth?”

“From what I hear it’s a pirate ship.”

“That’s out. I think our best bet is the ferry.”

“I agree” After agreeing to the ferry for a ride they quickly got to it. They spent a few minutes haggling over price to get spots but they were able to settle on a price of three gold dice and two silver dice each.

“Keep in mind we leave shortly and it’ll take at least three and a half days to reach Mok. You lot sure you can handle the trip?”

“Of course we can.”

“We’ll be here when you take off.” Came from Max. After an half an hour the ferry was ready to take off and as Max reassured the ferry captain all five were on board.

“So here we go off to another land.” Was from Sonia.

“Try to be positive Sonia. If we’re lucky we’ll find the realm amulet somewhere in the southern tropics.”

“I hope so Iris. I’d hate to stay here in this realm any longer then we have to.”

“I just hope we don’t run into any pirates. I did spot a pirate ship.”

“Good point Wally.” As the ferry took off from the ports of Picca the hope to find the realm amulet was high. That night all the passengers gathered in the ferries mess hall for dinner. As everyone ate tales were exchanged about dungeon duels and other encounters. “So there I was standing in front of that green dragon. I thought for sure I was going to be eaten. But thankfully the gold dice I had in my money pouch was enough to buy my way out of that forest.”

“Yu really met a green
