They came to the party with their parents. The house was down the street from George Washington town home in Alexandra, VA.
Jamie and Jacob's parents always went on vacation around halloween. They never went anywhere exciting. They always had to visit historical places. Granted, Jamie and Jacob always got out of school for a week, but did they have to be dragged to these kinds of places?
“Boy, this party is terrible,” Jamie whispered to Jacob. “Halloween should be funner than this!”
“Yeah, wish something exciting would happen,” Jacob responded, he had a plate full of food munching and drinking a cup of punch.
They wandered around a few minutes. The house was full of adults. Everyone's dress was a variety of old time costumes. Jamie was dressed like a Betsy Ross and Jacob was dressed like a young George Washington.
