Well my life was very tough as a child, even though I am a lord now. It all started at South View Drive in a cheerful house, with my mother Sally and father Ron. It was a a great life. Until my mother was driving home from work when she got in a car accident. She was side swiped by a SUV. I was at school only 7 years old when the office called my name saying I was being signed out they said it was a emergency and that I need to be quick. I got worried and just ran down the hallway and up the stairs. My father was running down the stairs he just looked and at me picked me up and kept on going. I could see on his face he had been stressed and crying. I asked him what was wrong, he wouldn't answer me no matter how many times I asked. We got outside to the car and he put me down in the back seat. When he sat in the seat he just told me that mummy had been in a accident and that she was in the hospital.
We arrived at the hospital, we had to walk quickly up to the door. He ran to the desk with me in his arms. He asked "What room is Sally in?" the room at the desk told him 203. He ran down the hallway holding me tight. I was really scared at this point not knowing what happened to her, if she was okay. He busted through the door. A nurse was standing beside her. She was connected to machines with so many tubes going into her body. He put me down and told me to go talk to mummy. He was now crying talking to the nurse asking if she was going to be okay. I went over to her and held her hand. She turned her head slowly towards me. I started to cry because her face was all cut, I touched her cheek and asked her if she was going to be all right. A tear ran down her face and I knew then the answer she was going to tell me wasn't what I wanted. She said, "Corbin I want you to know that I love you so much, and that I will always be with you." I told her she didn't answer my question and asked it again. She looked away and began to sniffle, when she looked back around her eyes were red. She told me the truth she said she didn't think she would make it. I couldn't handle it I was screaming crying, I kept saying "No you'll be fine your going to be fine you'll see." She pulled me towards me and kissed me on the forehead as my dad sat beside me. He told me to let him talk to her I sat in the chair crying in my hands. The nurse tried to help by rubbing my back it had no effect at all. My father told me to come over to my mother after he was done talking to her to say our final goodbyes. I just sat there squeezing her hand trying my best to hold my tears back, I knew that it hurt her so much more having to leave her child.
We stayed overnight. I got up the next morning, I was sitting on my dads lap I went over to my her and was rubbing her hand trying to wake her up. I was confused she wouldn't wake. I started to yell, " mum get up, come on get up..." My screaming woke my father who came over and looked at the heart rate... there was none. He pulled me away and called the nurse sitting in the chair sobbing. I knew that she had passed, I went to her lifeless body and pushed her hair away from her face, kissed her forehead and whispered that I loved her. After the nurse came and checked her it was just the end, we all knew that it was just going to get worse from there on.
When we got home it was just complete silence, he told me to just go to my room and stay there for the night, I knew that I should just do as he asked. I got up in the middle of the night to go to the wash room. As I was walking down the hallway I looked in the living room and saw my dad sitting there with a bottle of vodka in his hand, no TV, no music, nothing just sitting there motionless. He turned his head towards me, I ran back to my room. The next day seemed to be the longest day ever, I was use to walking out of school to see my mum waiting for my to pick me up. There was no mum just dad waiting in the car. I got in the back seat and sat there watching the other kids as I drive by jumping into there mums arms laughing, smiling. Happy.
After days of the same thing over and over my father told me that were moving into a smaller home and that he had to sell the car because he didn't have as money as he did when mum was with him. We moved out the next week, two rooms and much smaller.
