In your life,
Have you ever hidden,
Behind a mask?
When you cry,
Does your mask smile?
Does your mask hide the hurt?
Does your mask only feel,
What other’s desire?
When you’re angry,
Do you show it?
Have you ever said the word “NO!”?
When you wear your mask,
Does it hurt?
Does it grow tighter,
While you try to mask the hurt?
Does you mask say yes,
To things it shouldn’t?
When you wear your mask,
Do you act as yourself?
Do you listen to your own heart?
Do you fear,
What others think of you?
When you’re alone,
Do you take of your mask?
Do you weep tears of sorrow?
Do you feel alone,
Without your mask?
Have you ever consider what’s right,
And what’s wrong?
Or are you to use to listening to others?
Do you truly know yourself?
Does your heart call out to you?
Is it pure,
And strong?
Have you ever answered it?
Do you just waste your time,
Acting as someone else?
Take off your mask,
And be yourself.
Fight for what you believe,
Even if it hurts.
Cry in front of others.
Let the hurt flow through you.
Please just be yourself!
