Alea

It's freezing outside right now. And I have to walk how. Great. Plus I have this crappy job. NEVER work at a club!

Just one more customer then I'm outta this hell hole.

Me: “What would you like tonight sir?”

Bastard: “Mmmhh…anything you’d like me to have babe.”

I rolled my eyes and reach beneath the counter, grabbed a cup and turned around to fill it up with liquor. I filled the cup 25% with liquor and filled the rest with water, because he was already really drunk.

Me: “Here you go sir.” not hiding the disgust in my voice

That was my last customer, hallelujah . I went to the break room to get my purse. When I got down to the break room there was nobody in there. I shrugged and went to my locker to open it when I heard something.

Me: “Anybody there?”

Then there was a fast movement to my left and I gasped.

Me: “Whoever you are you better stop right now!”

I grabbed my purse and swiftly walked out of the room. It was raining outside and I was wearing attire for summer. Even thought it was raining I had to get out of there. I pushed open the door and sighed as the cold air hit me. I walked down the street and stopped when I saw something in an alley, I don’t know why but I started walking to it. My brain told me not to go but before I could even comprehend what I was thinking my legs were pulling me forward.

I bent down to pick up the object, then I heard a sound. I bolted straight up and looked around; well not really looked around because I was blind in the dark. But I tried anyways, I strained my eyes to see things-nothing. The someone or something grabbed my arm and threw me against a wall. I was so shocked I barely felt the throbbing pain in the center of my head. The person stalked up to me and said,

My Attacker: “Your mine now, nobody can save you. Last time you got lucky.”

Me: “Wait w-what are y-you talking about? I’ve never met you in my life!”

My Attacker: “Oh but you have, don’t act like you’ve forgotten.”

My eyes were slowly adjusting to the darkness, I could finally see the dark figure standing in front of me. Then at the mouth of the alley

I saw another figure and he started running at a speed I didn’t know was possible to achieve. He tackled my attacker while I watched in horror. I didn’t know my savior but I was already scared for his life.

A loud bang snapped me back into reality in time to see my attacker punch my savior in the face, my saviors head jerked to the left at the force of the blow, he shook his head and leaned in to attack, but before my savior could attack again my attacker flew off into the night.

I couldn’t believe my eyes, 'this has to be a dream’ I thought. The I turned to see the face of the man that saved me. I could barely talk but I had to thank him.

Me: “Thank you.” I said in a rough whisper

Savior: “No problem. Would you like help up Alea?”

Me: “Yes please, and how do you know my name?”

He held out his hand for me to take it and I did. He pulled me up to my feet. I brushed off my clothes to make sure there was no debris left on my clothes from the alley floor.

Savior: “I hear people calling you that in the club.”

Me: “Oh. Well may I ask what your name is?”

Savior: “My name is Aiden.”

Me: “Well it’s very nice to meet you Aiden. Not nice circumstances, but yeah.”

Aiden: “It’s nice to meet you too. Would you like me to walk you home?”

Me: “That would be great, thank you.”

He started walking but I didn’t follow, he stopped and turned around.

Aiden: “Aren’t you going to come? You do have to show the way you know.” he chuckled quietly.

I ran to catch up to him. When we reached the road the street lights gave me my sight back. I look back to see Aiden. He is wearing all black; everything on him is black except his beautiful blonde hair and his gorgeous green eyes. He saw me staring and says,

Aiden: “Well we better get a move on.”

Me: “Yeah lets go.”

We start walking again and before I know it we are standing outside my apartment. I turn to him.

Me: “Thanks again for all you’ve done for me tonight.”

Aiden: “It wasn’t a problem.”

I walk up my stairs and I start to unlock the door but I turn around one more time to see Aiden but he isn’t where I left him. I look up and down the streets but he is nowhere on the street.

Me: “Wow he walks fast.” I mumbled to myself

I went into my house, closed the door behind me and turned around. I started to walk into the living room when I saw a shadow in the hallway.

Then the shadow appeared and Aiden came into view. I let out a sharp breathe.

Aiden: “Sorry I scared you but I sensed something was wrong so I came to check it out.”

Me: “It’s okay I know you didn’t mean to scare me.”

Aiden: “I have to get you out of here. Like now.”

Me: “Wait, why?”

Aiden: “There here and are ready to kill you it’s my job to make sure that doesn’t happen. "

Me: “Who’s trying to kill me?”

Aiden: “I can’t explain right now, we have no time."

He didn’t wait for me to respond, he grabbed my arm and pulled me out the back door.

Me: “Where are we going?”

Aiden: “To my house to get my car.”

Me: “Then where are we going?”

Aiden: “A hotel.”

Ten minutes later I saw a little house.

Me: “This is your house?”

Aiden: “Yeah. My car is right around here.”

We walked around to the other side of the house and there was a bright red car.

Me: “Wow. This is so awesome.”

Aiden: “I have cars all around the world. But my favorite one is in New York.”

Me: “You lived in New York?”

Aiden: “I’ve lived everywhere. Now lets go.”

We got in the car, he started it and pulled onto a dirt path.

Me: “Which hotel are we going to?”

Aiden: “The best.”

We drove for like 20 minutes making small talk until he pulled into a m hotel. We got out of the car and walked up to the doors. He open it for me.

Me: “Thank you.”

Aiden: “Welcome.”

We went to the reception desk.

Receptionist: “Hello, what do you need?”

Aiden: “We need a room with two beds.”

Receptionist: “Mmmm…let me see what we have.”

We waited while she looked through the open rooms.

Receptionist: “Oh, I’m sorry we only have rooms with one bed.”

Aiden looked at me.

Aiden: “We can go somewhere else if you want.”

Me: “No, it’s alright. We’re already here.”

He nodded then turned toward the receptionist.

Aiden: “We’ll take it.”

The receptionist nodded and booked it in the computer. She walked over to a shelf and grabbed two keys.

Receptionist: “Room 204 have a nice night.”

Aiden grabbed the keys and we walked over to the elevator.

Aiden: “I picked this one because it has a pool and I thought you might want to have some fun tomorrow. Not that many hotels have pools here.”

Me: “Thanks, it’s perfect.”

I smiled at him and he smiled back. Even his smile is beautiful. We got to the room and unlocked the doors. The room had one bed, a lounge chair, a dresser, and a mini fridge.

Aiden: “It will do for now, but we can go somewhere else tomorrow if you want.”

Me: “It’s alright. This is bigger than my apartment.”

He laughed and then nodded.

Aiden: “You can lay on the bed, I’ll take the floor.”

Me: “Are you sure? I can take the floor.”

Aiden: "No it's alright."

Me: "Okay." I said slowly

Aiden: “I’m going to go and get some things from the car, I’ll be right back.”

Me: “Okay I’m going to take a shower.“

Aiden: “When you get out your clothes will be here.“

I nodded and he walked out the door. I walked to the bathroom. I started to run the shower, I set it to the perfect temperature and when it was perfect I stripped off all of my clothes and got in. I washed up and when I was done I got out and wrapped my body in a towel.

I opened the door and saw the my clothes were on the bed. I looked around and didn’t see Aiden anywhere so I ran grabbed my clothes and then ran back to the bathroom. The clothes he had laid out for me were: a purple tank-top, panties, and some pajama bottoms. When I finished I walked out of the bathroom.

Me: “Aiden?”

Aiden: “I’m right here.”

Me: “How did you know I needed your help earlier?”

Aiden: “I’m your protector, I know everything that’s happening to you

Me: “How?”

Aiden: “My whole life evolves around you. I was assigned to you 21 years ago.”

Me: “When I was two? Why would I need protection at the age of two?”

Aiden: “They’ve been after you since you were two.”

Me: “Are you going to tell me who they are?”

Aiden: “Do you really want to know?”

Me: “Yeah, I do. Why wouldn’t I want to know who‘s trying to kill me.”

Aiden: “Well it might scare you.”

Me: “Why would it scare me?”

Aiden: “It might. Just watch.”

He opened his mouth and two fangs started sliding down from his gums. I gasped.

Aiden: “Don’t be scared, I promise I wont hurt you.”

Me: “I’m not scared…Okay, sorta but mostly shocked; I think I need to lie down.”

I started walking toward the bed but I almost fell over. Aiden caught me before I fell.

Aiden: “Are you okay?”

Me: “Yeah, I just got a little dizzy.”

Aiden: “I shouldn’t have told you. I sorry. I just wanted to be honest with you.”

Me: "It’s alright I just need to lay down.”

He walked me over to the bed and lifted the blanket up then he laid me down. He turned around to go to his bed on the floor when I grabbed his he turned around.

Me: “Stay? Please?”

Aiden: “Okay scoot over.”

I did and he took off his shoes and jacket and laid down next to me. I turned so my back was up against him and he put his arm around me. I smiled internally as he did that and let unconsciousness consume me.


Aiden

I lay here with the most beautiful girl I’ve seen in all my 100 years. ‘Does she like me?’

I thought. ‘Well she did ask me to stay with her’

. I thought about her all night. Literally all night because I can’t sleep. I thought about telling her how I feel but I quickly crossed that thought out. She might not feel the same way as I do. Then the thought of losing her popped into my head and that made my hold on her tighten. I shook that thought out of my head. I don’t ever want that thought to come back to me. The only time I had this feeling was when I first met Alea.

It was 1994 when Alea was two years old. That was when I was first assigned to be her protector. Alea’s mother and father had assigned me to be her protect because her real father was a vampire and her mother was human. Alea’s mother died after giving birth to her. Alea’s dad gave her up for adoption because she was half human and half vampire, Alea is a half breed and her kind is rare. That’s why they want to kill her.. If a full vampire was to bite her she would have vampire powers and whatever power half breeds have. She will be the most powerful vampire in the world, that’s why they have to kill her. ’Not if I have a say in it, I will protect her. If I die in the process so be it’ .

Alea

I woke up to the intoxicating scent of eggs, bacon, and French toast. She sees Aiden coming out of the bathroom.

Aiden: “Good morning Beautiful.”

Me: “Morning. You ordered room service?”

Aiden: “Yeah, hope you like it. I made you a plate.”

Me: “Thank you Aiden.” I was touched

Aiden: “Your welcome.” he says with a smile that knocked my breath away.

He started walking over to me. He handed me my plate and sat down on the bed next to me.

Me: “Mmmmm…it smells good.”

He smiles. While I eat he watches me.

Me: “Did you sleep well?”

Aiden: “I don’t sleep.”

Me: “Really? Like never?”

Aiden: “Not in 100 years.”

Me: “Oh”

He just smiled.

Me: “Well I’m going to get dressed.”

Aiden nods. I got up and went to the bathroom. I took off my clothes but then the realization that I have no clothes came to me.

I opened the door slightly.

Me: “Aiden?”

Aiden: “Yes?”

Me: “Do you have more clothes for me?”

Aiden: “Of course.”

He walked over to the corner of the room and got out some swim shorts. ‘Whaaaaat?’

Me: “Swim shorts?”

Aiden: “Yeah I thought you might want to go swimming.”

Me: “Okay just let me get dressed. Oh and thank you.”

Aiden: “Your welcome.”

I closed the door after he walked back to the bed. When I finished getting dressed I walked out of the bathroom and found Aiden in his swim shorts.

Aiden: “Ready?”

Me: “Yeah, lets go.”

He grabbed the room key and we locked the door on the way out. We walked down the hall till we saw the pool. When they got to the pool room nobody was in there. I took off my flip-flops and dove into the pool.

When I came up I smiled at Aiden and told him to come in. He nodded to me and took off his shoes and shirt so he was only in his swim shorts. I started at his perfect body. Then he dove into the water. He swam out to where I was and put his arms around me.

I laid my head against his chest and put my arms around his neck. I looked up at him, he leaned down and touched his lips to mine, I shivered. The kiss was sweet. We kissed for several more seconds until he pulled away.

Aiden: “I’m sorry, I couldn’t stop myself.”

I leaned in and kissed him. He let my tongue slip pass his lips and we explored each others mouths. I pulled back.

Me: “I didn’t mind.”

I got lose of his arms and splashed him with water. He looked up in surprise and splashed me back. I swam away but he caught me. I was giggling uncontrollably.

He turned me around so I was facing him but he pressed his lips to mine firm but gentle his tongue ran across my bottom lip begging for an entrance which I gladly allowed him. He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist as he back me up against the edge of the pool.

My hands snaked their way up to his neck and I pulled him to me to deepen the kiss. I heard the click of a door apparently so did Aiden because he let go. We looked up to see who it was.

It was the maid. Aiden and I looked at each other and blushed. Hopefully that lady didn’t see anything. She just went on cleaning while me and Aiden were swimming. As soon as she left we busted up laughing.

Aiden: “I hope she didn’t see anything.”

Me: “Ha ha, if she did she didn’t do anything.”

We kept laughing. When we were all wrinkly from the water we got out. We grabbed the towels the maid left for the swimmers and went back to the room.

Me: “What are we going to do today?”

Aiden: “Whatever you want. Except you can’t be seen outside. So we have to do everything here.”

Me: “Okay. Watch movies?”

Aiden: “Sure. Lets look and see what they have on TV.”

We went to sit on the bed and he grabbed the remote and flipped through the channels until he found one he liked. We watched the movie and when it was finished I turned over so I was straddling him.

I leaned down and kissed him He rolled over so he was on top of me he leaned down and kissed me hard his tongue danced with mine.
