Paradise

Her supposed place of learning made her yearn for a paradise.  "Paradise," she repeated, something terrifying hovering just over the words.  Though, what it was evaded her.  Her mind erred, mistaking the hallways for components of death himself.

The embodiments of evil desolated the scene to make what she considered perfect.  Inklings of impossible hallucinations flooded her mind, painting an apocalyptic picture of thorns and blood covering a multitude decaying bodies.

Floating sweetly around each corpse, she vaguely recognized the faces as those of her peers.  Once smiling, bright, fake faces, twisted forevermore against the horrors that they had died for.  Slowly, more and more spires of cold ice filed out of a past enemies back, while another recieved the privilege of sight.  He was not, however, given the voice to scream.

As she soaked in her darkest wish, a single, simple thought stormed restlessly through her mind.

"Paradise."

The universe shivered at the the pure ecstacy behind the word, the rubble shuddering ever so slightly.  Though, not so much that she would be disturbed from her fantasy.

She noticed movement, not her own, but a small wriggle.  The writhing eyes of a former quarterback, whatever that was...  They shivered at the bloodied head of perfectly curled hair, owned by a cheerleader identical to the rest.  All the rest.  All the people that laughed, scorning in comedic fits of hilarity, no more.  Nevermore.  Never again.

Every throat split cleanly, as to confirm the statement.

Lightly, the air slipped around each of her plain locks, changing them to a more fitting color.  A pitch black, shining brightly with its own kind of light.  The breeze then traveled to her eyes, then to her clothes, and she could be mistaken for what she truely was.

She had the frame that every painfully starving girl had wanted.  She had the dress any prom queen would really die for.  She had the hidden strength every bullied child would exploit.  She had the ability to demand attention like no other, yet with the absence of absurdity.  She had everything.  She was Queen.

But only in her paradise.
