A Mother Suffers

I am a mother
Suffering my child death
My son was twenty three
And was shot to death
Delinquency killed my son
He was no saint I guess
It was not fair though
What have I done to deserve this?
What can I do to push this pain away?
I use to be a mother
I had a son
Now that he is gone
I don’t know where I belong
