Carl came home from softball practice and before he entered the home he took off his shoes leaving them at the back door.
“Hi, Mom!” He greeted.
“Hi, Sweetie! How was practice today?”
“Oh, it was great! I hit two home runs and Coach Riley was really proud of me today!”
Wow, that's great sweetie! Two home runs! You keep that up and we will be reading about you someday! Great job! Mommy is really proud of you! Now go wash up, dinner is almost ready.”
“Okay, Mom!” He inhaled the delectable aroma of Honey Mustard Chicken, Parslied Potatoes and noticed the Strawberry Trifle she place in the refrigerator for desert as he dashed off to wash up.
Carl was a 12-year-old boy who lived with his mother Cicely and his younger sister Carla in Miami, Florida. His mother just purchased a nice foreclosure home in one of the prominent areas of town but the home lacked some essential repair work that was evidently indiscernible.
As the water emerged from the faucet, Carl commenced to washed his hands. The water ran fine as he joined his hands together to cleanse his face. With his eyes closed he submerged into the first splash but strangely after the second cleansing the water texture left rather an oily substance all over his hands. He opened his eyes to witness that the running water had suddenly turned into black slimy sludge when anxiously he called out.
“Mom!” He yelled wiping the slime from his face.
“What is it?” His mother replied coming down the hall to the bathroom.
“Look!” He pointed.
“Oh my goodness! Are you okay sweetheart? Ewe, that's disgusting! I've never seen anything like that before! We really need to get a plumber out here! You didn’t get any of
