I was in alabama at a family reunion and me and my cousin were playing tag when all of a sudden we were startled by two birds flying out of this bush and when we looked there were four eggs and before I could stop my cousin from touching the egg ( I was thinking that the mom wouldn't come back if someone touches the egg it turned out that was only true with rabbit eggs) he touched two of the eggs and then we both became foster parents just like that he kept reaching in his pocket and bringing it out and I told him to be careful but about ten seconds later he squashed the egg accidentaly with his thumb and we had to put the egg with yold leaking out of it on the ground, I kept my hand safely away from my egg and walked very gingerly so it didnt get crushed as soon as I got in side the house I put napkins in a cup and gingerly put the egg in there, when I went with the other kids I told them to be careful because I had the egg with me then they asked if I wanted to play tag and I decided to play and carefuly but the egg in a safe spot when the reunion was over I brought the egg home to georgia.
I brought the egg in the house and when I got home I showed my silly cat (that was sitting on the chair waiting for us to come) the egg and I said hey mrs. cocoo cat this isn't food, and I asked my grandfather to put the egg in a cleanedc coffe container with one of my tshirts in there under his lamp to keep it warm and we kept it there for four days on the fourth day I went to check on the egg and the light was off grandpa lost hope and I told my grandmother that altough it was dead I would still take care of it. Five minutes later I was sitting on the floor playing my ps3 with the egg on the bed and I looked on the floor a second and I saw the egg cracked on the floor and then I turned blue, it was definetely dead then.
I looked at it trying to see how it would've looked if it hatched and then I noticed the egg moved a tiny bit and I shouted to my grandma It's Hatching! The egg is hatching. Alright my grandmother said not believing and a hour later grandpa came inside and I told him the egg is hatching and I showed him at first he said he thought I was seeing things then he saw something to and another hour later I put it in a tshirt I warmed and put the hatching egg in there and slowly it hatched and I named it Jack. We searched on how to feed it and we did you shouldn't feed any bird unblended worms unblended apples or anything that isn't mushed into the smallest chunks there is and you have to carefuly have a syringe in the thrat so it doesn't choke we found it to hard and when we looked more we found out you couldn't have any bird except pigeons turkey or any of those other birds you eat or have as a pet so after two days we decided to squash him and add him to are cats food and she loved it... GOT YA!!! I would never have done that but we had to give him to wildlife care and donated fifty dollars to make sure they tried their best to take care of him and that was the story of Jack even now after like five or seven months I still have a tiny bit of his egg that crumbles a little more every day right now he/she is probably living the life of a free bird and has a few eggs of his/her own.
