Split Personality
Chapter One
As every victim of domestic abuse knows, it never gets any easier; it gets to the point after a while when enough is enough. This was true for one victim who finally found the strength and courage to leave one life behind and start another. All too soon she realised her mistake and it soon became a struggle for her life.
With a deep dark secret unknown even to her, Jenna lay in the intensive care unit at Westridge Memorial Hospital; it was the third time in two months that she’d been admitted, with black eyes, broken ribs and a broken jaw, the nurses knew this was no accident. The first time that Jenna had been taken to the hospital it was for a broken wrist, the second time it was for a broken nose and to have her cast replaced; Jenna had tried to defend herself and in the process had broken the cast.
The first two times Jenna had insisted that the police not be called; the nurses had unwillingly obliged but this time they called the police as soon as they realised that Jenna was the victim of a vicious attack. A member of the public and by lucky chance, a nurse at the hospital had been walking her two German Shepherd dogs in the woods close to her home. The dogs had found Jenna and the nurse had called the paramedics.
With a fresh cast placed over her healing wrist, Jenna had been sedated to allow her ribs to heal easier and quicker. A nurse and two police officers had been stationed to guard the patient after the condition she’d been found in. The police and nurses were both waiting for Jenna to awaken, they needed to know who had done this and why. As the nurse bent over to check Jenna’s blood pressure and temperature; she saw that Jenna had long black hair.
The nurse lifted an eyelid to check pupil dilation and saw that her eyes were hazel. Jenna was five foot five inches tall and had a slim build; it would still be several hours before Jenna woke up.
* * * *
In the mean time Jenna’s boyfriend Kyle had been arrested and was currently sitting in an interrogation room at Westridge Police Station. His short blond hair was askew and his brown eyes were narrowed in dislike, Kyle stood at six foot tall and was well built.
Kyle had been denying anything to do with the attack on Jenna and had an alibi for the day of the attack. The police held Kyle for twenty four hours; his alibi checked out and the police had nothing else to hold him on. As Kyle was being released a call came into the station; Jenna had woken up.
* * * *
The first thing Jenna saw was the white ceiling and then smelled the disinfectant, as Jenna looked around her, she saw tubes and wires sticking out of her hands; and saw a fresh cast on her left wrist. Jenna tried to sit up but couldn’t, she then tried to talk but found her mouth wired shut.
With her free hand she felt around the bed for the switch to call the nurse, it wasn’t there. Jenna could only see out of one eye, she felt for the other eye and found it was swollen shut and incredibly sore. She was also in pain every time she tried to breathe deeply; she heard the door to the room open and then closed. Someone was approaching her, Jenna could smell Jasmine; it seemed to be coming from the person’s clothes.
A soft hand touched her right wrist and Jenna clenched her fist, she opened her eye and saw a motherly looking nurse standing over her. “It’s OK love, you’re safe, the police want to ask you some questions but I’ll tell them to wait until morning.” Jenna nodded; she had a hundred questions running through her mind but couldn’t ask any of them.
The nurse gave Jenna another sedative then walked towards the door as Jenna fell asleep once more.
Chapter Two
The next morning when Jenna awoke, the nurse handed her a pad of paper and a pen; she’d explained to the police that Jenna’s jaw was broken and had been wired shut. Jenna had requested that the nurse stay with her for the questioning. “Do you remember who did this to you?”
Jenna picked up the pen and wrote ‘No.’ She showed the police and they frowned. “Do you remember what happened?” Once again she wrote ‘No,’ and she honestly couldn’t remember what’d happened, one minute she was walking through the woods; the next she woke up in hospital. “Do you know Kyle Swan?” Jenna wrote ‘Yes.’
“Did he do this to you?” Jenna wrote ‘No.’ “In your own words can you tell us what you remember about the attack?” Jenna started writing; ‘I had just finished work and was walking home through the woods, the next thing I remember is waking up in here.’ The policeman smiled, “OK that will be all for now, but we may need to come back and ask you some more questions OK?”
Jenna nodded and watched as the policemen left, later on that day a consultant came into the room and explained that she would need to stay in hospital for a further few days for observation. They asked if there was anyone they could call for her and Jenna shook her head. She didn’t want anyone phoned for the simple reason it would without a doubt cause another beating.
By suffering alone Jenna was ensuring two things, the first was that Josh wouldn’t be able to find her; and the second that she’d be strong enough to leave him and start again, after all they say ‘third time’s the charm.’ Jenna had gone from one bad relationship to the other, when she received the first punch from Kyle, she left him and vowed never to return.
But he came crawling back promising to never do it again, she had believed him and taken him back, when they were alone for the first time in weeks, Kyle broke her wrist and threatened to kill her if she ever left him again. Jenna finally left him after he broke her nose for having a drink with a friend, she was expecting Kyle to come crawling again but he didn’t.
Jenna hadn’t seen the signs of violence in Josh, when he hit her, she’d blacked out and when she’d come to; had found herself lying on her bed. Her clothes had been ripped from her body, as she sat up completely naked Jenna started to cry, she grabbed some fresh clothes from the drawer and left. As Jenna lay in the hospital bed remembering all that had happened in the past, the doors opened and in walked a well built, six foot tall very masculine man.
His gigantic hands ran through his short dark hair and his eyes twinkled in the darkness like a pair of cats eyes, Jenna merely thought that the nurse had returned; but instead of smelling Jasmine she smelt sweat and dirt, mingled together as though it were an animal that had just run long distance, jumped in a lake then returned to its owner with a prize in its mouth.
Jenna could hear footsteps getting closer and closer, she reached for the remote with the emergency button on it, but during the day it had been knocked off the bed and hung just out of reach. A hand reached across and covered her mouth, the pain was excruciating, but she didn’t dare move. A constant gush of hot air kept flowing on to her face as Josh’s breaths deepened. Where were the police that had maintained a vigil by her door?
As the pain reached its climax and Jenna didn’t think she’d be able to take any more, the pressure lifted and she could breathe again. The pain left after what seemed like hours, and Jenna managed to fall into a fitful sleep, her dreams were of faceless shadows and things just beyond her reach.
Chapter Three
One Year Later
Dreams from the hospital still followed Jenna where she went, she had moved several times in the last nine months after she had received threatening calls and letters to her home. This new place was the last hope for Jenna, nothing threatening had arrived in the post in months and she was confident that nothing more would happen.
How very wrong she was. At the beginning of the fourth month in her new home, only a day after she’d gotten her kitten a letter arrived in the post. The kitten being naturally playful and curious swiped the letter with her paw; there was a deafening bang as the letter exploded. Half the hallway was destroyed and the eight week old, pure white kitten was killed.
When Jenna returned to her flat, she saw the flames coming from her side of the building as the fire department battled to get them under control. A barricade had been set up and Jenna tried to push through it, someone stopped her. “What’s going on? Let me through I live there, my kitten’s in there!” Near the entrance to the block of flats Jenna heard two policemen talking.
“There’s blood all up the wall, it’s not human blood and there’s some charred photos of a white kitten, it might match the bits of fur we’ve found.” “What a waste, that poor kitten couldn’t have been more than eight weeks old. Do we know who the person renting the property is yet?” “Yes, it’s a Miss Jenna Daws, she should’ve been home tonight from what we’ve gathered from her neighbours, it was lucky that Miss Daws wasn’t home but maybe someone thought she’d be.”
The police headed towards the crowd and spotted someone trying to get through the barricades. “What seems to be the problem Miss?” “What’s going on? I live in that block of flats and my kitten is inside I have to get to her.” The police drew her to one side and said “What’s your apartment number? And can you give me a description of your kitten?” “My apartment number is twenty-five C and my kitten is white. Now please, can you hurry and find her?”
One of the officers rested his hand on her shoulder as he said, “I’m sorry to tell you this Miss, but the fire seems to be coming from your apartment; the fire department have found bits of white fur and blood on the walls and we believe its your kitten’s blood. Half of the apartment was destroyed with what appears to be a home-made bomb, we’ll know more once the experts arrive, we’d like to take you down to the station to answer a few questions is that OK? Is there anyone we can call for you?”
Jenna shook her head as she followed the officers, that question always made her insides tingle. After several hours of questioning and having her alibi verified, she was put up in a hotel, that night she cried herself to sleep over the loss of her kitten. When she finally fell into a fitful sleep Jenna dreamt that everything was back to normal, that her kitten was still alive and that nobody was out to get her.
She then saw flashes, very vivid flashes of a strange hand posting something through a letter box, a faceless figure was writing threatening messages on a piece of paper and carefully folding it; hands moving across a keyboard hacking into a system which kept all the ex-directory numbers and classified files. A page had been printed off with her name and address on it.
Jenna woke up sweating and tears rolling down her face, she could see the sense in the flashes but the reason behind them eluded her. As Jenna dressed in black leather trousers, black knee high boots and a black sweater another vision flashed before her eyes. Someone was fiddling with electricals, putting them all together inside a back pack, it was a home made bomb.
The address of the hotel where Jenna was staying was written on a piece of paper beside the back pack, as Jenna stood up she reached for the small card on the bedside cabinet; she dialled the number and got an answering machine. She left a message then walked into the hallway and pulled the fire alarm, making her way outside the hotel followed by other guests staying in the hotel.
The bomb exploded just as she reached the ground floor; debris flying in every direction, screams and the smell of smoke all around her. The beams on the ceiling fell to the floor with loud resounding crashes, and as Jenna looked up towards the main entrance of the hotel she saw a mother crushed by a falling beam as she tried to push her young child out of harms way.
The mothers’ efforts were wasted however as a second part of the same beam crashed down over the young girls head killing her instantly; a primal scream echoed around the hotel lobby and it took Jenna a few moments to realise the scream came from her own mouth. Something stirred within her, something terrible and filled with power wanting to be let loose.
Jenna embraced the monster and as she left the hotel, she left behind the old and constantly scared girl known as Jenna. This new Jenna was unafraid and out for revenge, the time for forgiveness and the gentle approach was gone; she was out for blood and god help anyone who stood in her way.
Chapter Four
Jenna had a small amount of money on her and she spent the remainder of the night sat in an internet café drinking coffee, when the first ray of morning light shone through the windows Jenna stood up and paid the man at the desk and returned her mug to the small kitchen for customers.
Jenna walked a few blocks over and entered a local pharmacy where she purchased a pair of dark sunglasses and then went to a local hair dressers and had her hair dyed red, as she entered a local bakery to buy a savoury snack, Kyle entered the store, he gave her a once-over look but didn’t recognise her so he moved to the counter, ordered his food and flirted with the cashier before leaving.
Something primitive and savage rose up inside of Jenna and she embraced it, she bought a can of coca cola then followed Kyle at a distance as he made his way over to the local park to sit in the shade of a tree. Jenna sat and watched him through a break in the trees, fifteen minutes later he got up and headed back over to the business district where he entered his place of work and stayed their until he finished at five thirty that evening.
She followed Kyle into the local pub and sat a few tables away looking at a menu; she selected a medium rare steak with salad and dressing along with a glass of cola and then settled in to wait. Two hours later Jenna was up at the bar ordering another drink when Kyle approached from behind, she moved to the side and felt his hands on her narrow hips, she slapped his hands away, turned to face him and said “Hey! I don’t like to be touched!”
Kyle glared at her then said “I apologise, you seem familiar to me may I buy you a drink?” Jenna shook her head, “No thanks, I’m leaving soon.” Kyle started to say something else but she collected her drink then flipped him off, he obviously didn’t like that very much but restrained himself from making a scene, Jenna knew that when she left the pub Kyle would follow her.
* * * *
Kyle waited for a full minute before following the red-head from the pub, the way she walked seemed familiar to him somehow; but he still couldn’t put his finger on it, the one thing he knew for certain was that the bitch would pay for flipping him off in public.
He followed her into the large park and watched as her hips swayed enticingly as she took as slow walk around the park; she stopped for a few minutes at the lake and then carried on, she looked over her shoulder a few times as if knowing that she was being followed. As the mysterious woman continued her slow walk around the park, she started to leave the path and walk on the grass away from the safety of the lights as if she wasn’t paying any attention to where she was going.
Kyle grinned to himself and crept slowly closer to her, she stopped by a group of large willow trees, she looked around her and then stepped under the drooping leaves; Kyle grinned wider and followed her, he stopped when he saw that she had her back to him and was stroking her fingers down the tree. He cleared his throat but it didn’t seem to have effect on the woman.
Kyle stepped a few feet closer and then stopped, the woman was giving off a clear ‘back off’ signal; he ignored them and stepped behind her, he put his hands on her narrow waist and hissed in her ear “You stupid bitch, you should’ve just accepted the drink; we’re all alone now and I’m going to enjoy this.” He then turned her roughly around to face him and he froze.
* * * *
Jenna looked Kyle in the eyes he had no idea who she’d been in the pub; only that she’d seemed familiar to him, she saw the recognition in his eyes and he froze, then a slow evil smile took hold of his features “Oh, I’m really going to enjoy this.” He dropped his hands from her waist and raised his clenched fist.
As his fist started to come towards her face Jenna smiled at him “If you’re expecting me to freeze or to beg for you not to hit me, then you’re very mistaken. I’m not the same person I used to be.” Kyle’s fist still kept coming towards her face and Jenna raised her own hand and stopped the punch, she folded her hand over his fist and forced it down.
She noticed that Kyle was still stood too close, but it didn’t bother her as much as it used to; it didn’t instil the fear that she used to feel either, looking at Kyle’s furious face she smiled sweetly at him and took great pleasure at watching his face darken even further. “You’re still out here alone Jenna, no-one’s here to help you now.” Jenna laughed at his furious face.
“You still don’t get it do you Kyle? I’m not afraid of anyone or anything; I used to be terrified when you raised your fist at me, but now I see you for what you really are.” Kyle looked confused for a moment before a cruel smile played on his lips, “And what exactly do you think I am Jenna?” Jenna’s face lost all amusement and she replied “You’re nothing but a spineless excuse for a man who thinks he can get what he wants by scaring and hitting the person he’s with; it makes you feel powerful when really? You’re weak.”
Kyle went to hit her again, she one again deflected the punch and hit him in the face; he staggered as the punch surprised him, “You stupid bitch.” He snarled, Jenna cocked her head to the side “Is ‘bitch’ the only word you know? You seen to use it a lot.” Kyle kicked out at her and she stepped to the side, and said “I guess you’re tired of our little talk? That’s fine with me.”
Jenna’s hand went behind her back and withdrew the knife she had placed there earlier, she waited until Kyle moved one step closer and then rammed the knife into his stomach; she pulled the knife back out and stepped back as he went to his knees, Jenna used the toe of her boots to push him to the floor, once he was down he stepped over his legs and knelt down beside him.
His eyes were wide with pain and his hands went to the knife wound in his stomach; “You really are weak, I guess I just didn’t realise how weak you were; so tell me how it feels to be the one on the receiving end of violence? You wouldn’t know would you? You never gave a care for how someone smaller than you would feel whilst you took your own pleasure. Well, now you know.”
She then raised the knife and making sure he could see, brought it down on his manhood; slicing through the muscle and tissue, she then pulled the knife towards her and pulled it out; Kyle was screaming in pain but was unable to do more than hold one hand to his lost manhood and one to his stomach and writhe on the floor in pain. Having heard enough of his pitiless screams she brought the knife up once more and slit his throat.
She then stood up and walked away, leaving his body under the swaying leaves of the willow tree. In the early hours of the new morning Jenna knew there wouldn’t be anyone else about, she went over to the lake and cleaned the blade in the cool water; washing her hands and face as well, to rid herself of Kyle’s blood. As Jenna stood up and placed the now clean knife back in the waist band of her trousers she left the park and went to the nearest motel.
She paid for one night in advance and once in her room she showered, making sure that every bit of blood was off of her body, her dark clothing made it easy to hide the blood spatter; as she undressed and got into the double bed she smiled thinking to herself ‘one down one to go,’ Josh would be next and he had no idea of the storm brewing, the storm that was heading straight for him.
* * * *
Early the next morning Jenna left the motel and went into a clothes store, she brought another pair of leather trousers, black sweater and underwear; she paid for it with her credit card and then left the store with her purchases.
She changed clothes in a public toilet and then threw her old clothes in the bin, she took a slow walk around Westridge town centre and then as the morning slowly turned to afternoon she headed into a pub that she knew Josh liked; when Josh arrived Jenna finished her drink and went up to the bar to order a new one, she stayed long enough to let Josh get a good look at her.
Once she was sure that Josh was interested enough, she took her drink and went back over to her table; within a few minutes Josh approached her table and said “Do you mind if I sit here?” He indicated the empty chair, Jenna shrugged “Do what you want, it’s a free country.” Josh grinned and sat down opposite her, trying to be cool and casual; Jenna saw him for how sleazy he really was and merely arched an eyebrow at him.
“I’m Josh, what’s your name?” Josh said, trying to make small talk. Jenna gave him a careful once-over and Josh grinned at her; “My name is Phoenix.” Jenna wasn’t sure why she chose that name, but it seemed right to her somehow. “So Phoenix, are you new to town? I haven’t seen you around here before.” Jenna shrugged again, “I’ve been living in town a while, I just never really went into pubs.”
Josh leaned forwards “And why would that be?” Jenna shrugged again “I find most bars repulsive, this one doesn’t seem too bad; but every time I leave a bar I feel unclean, there’s always some loser trying to hit on me.” Josh’ face darkened with rage, “You think I’m a loser trying to hit on you?” Jenna smiled at him, “I don’t even know you Josh, and I merely told the truth about most bars.”
Jenna flipped her long red hair over her shoulder and Josh watched the movement, he’d relaxed slightly after her last statement but Jenna didn’t relax at all; she kept up the flirty talk for a little while longer and then stood up to leave. “You’re leaving?” Jenna looked down at where Josh sat, “Yes, it’s getting late and I still need to eat; is there a half decent place to eat around here?”
Josh grinned at her and said “Yeah, stay here and try the food, it’s good.” Jenna shrugged, “Sure why not, if you’ll excuse me a moment I need to use the ladies room.” Josh nodded as if she’d asked his permission and Jenna’s eyes narrowed. “I wasn’t asking your permission Josh, and I hope you never forget or make the mistake that I’m my own woman who makes her own choices.”
Josh scowled at her “I know that you’re your own woman and don’t need my permission for anything.” Jenna smiled sweetly, “Good, just as long as you know that.” She then headed towards the ladies room and slipped inside.
Chapter Five
Josh waited impatiently for Phoenix to come back to the table, he had to admit that she had confidence in herself, and Josh always enjoyed knocking a woman’s confidence down; and he’d make sure that Phoenix would leave the bar with him later that night.
Before Jenna returned he went up to the bar and bought fresh drinks for them both, he put a date rape drug in Jenna’s drink and she was gone long enough that the tablets had dissolved by the time she’d returned. As Jenna sat down opposite Josh she thanked him for the drink and as she went to take a sip she sniffed it first and then touched the liquid to her lips without taking a sip.
Jenna knew that he’d put something in her drink, so she put the glass down and picked up the menu on the table, as she looked at the menu she saw the smirk on Josh face; she chose what she wanted and then waited for Josh to pick his meal as well, they went up to the bar to order and pay for their food and then returned to their table.
Josh excused himself to the toilet and whilst he was gone Jenna went up to the bar and ordered a fresh drink, making an excuse that her friend had ordered the wrong drink; she took her fresh, un-drugged drink back to the table and waited for Josh to return and their food to be brought over to them. Jenna’s and Josh’ meals arrived at the same time, a medium rare steak, onion rings and chips was Jenna’s meal.
And Josh had ordered Lasagne and chips, After Jenna had eaten most of her steak she took a long drink of her coca cola and saw Josh smile widen; she smiled back at him and then continued on with her meal, once she was finished Josh took their plates back up to the bar and turned around to see Phoenix standing up slowly. He went back over to her and helped her up, and they then left the bar together.
* * * *
Jenna had made an act of getting up from the table, and was surprised when Josh came over to help her up, as they exited the bar Josh still had hold of her arm and started leading her towards a quiet area of town where abandoned warehouses were situated a tight knot.
She made herself walk slowly as if she’d drunk too much, when in reality she was sober; she let Josh guide her to the warehouse he wanted and let him push her inside then lead her towards the back, the windows were grimy and most had been broken, there were a few rocks littering the floor but Josh led her past all of it and towards an old mattress that was on the floor.
Jenna looked around and tried to slur her words as she asked “Where are we? What are we doing here?” Josh grinned at her as he kept one hand on her shoulder and tried to guide her backwards, she moved backwards and stopped when the edge of the old mattress touched her boots. “I’m going to teach you a lesson you’ll never forget Phoenix.”
Jenna tried to look frightened and said “What lesson?” Josh smiled wider and said “You’re far too confident for my liking, you should know better than to walk off with strangers.” Jenna shrugged and replied “Well Josh, you’re right about that, I’d like to leave now.” Jenna went to walk away when Josh’ hands gripped her narrow waist and pulled her back against him, she could feel his erection at the small of her back.
“I think we should stay a little while Phoenix, let me show you why; I promise it won’t hurt, much.” Jenna laughed and turned around, dropping all pretence of being drugged; “Why is it that people always say something won’t hurt when you both know it will?” Josh’ head went to one side as he said “OK if you want the truth then; this will hurt very much.” Jenna smiled and replied “That’s more like it, I’ve never liked liars Josh; and I think I told you that once before, but as you’re being honest then so will I.”
Josh looked confused, “Told me what before? Honest about what?” Jenna laughed and said “Don’t work too hard Josh, you’re brain won’t be able to take the strain.” Josh’ face darkened with anger, “You’re starting to piss me off now, I think you should put that sexy little mouth around my cock and do what you do best you little whore.”
Jenna put a finger to her chin in though, “Hmm, I don’t think so Josh.” Josh narrowed his eyes “And why is that Phoenix?” Jenna laughed, “My name isn’t Phoenix; sorry to have led you astray but I needed to get you alone so you can pay.” Josh once again looked confused, “Pay? For what?” Jenna laughed softly, “My name didn’t used to be Phoenix, it used to be Jenna; and you need to pay for what you did to us.”
Josh’ face once again darkened in anger, and a cruel smile played on his lips; “Jenna huh? The last I saw of you, you were in a ditch in the park.” Jenna let all the amusement fade away and stepped closer to Josh, he didn’t move but looked her in the eyes and saw the truth, “Jenna? It really is you isn’t it?” He smiled wider, “Well I had fun with you once; and since you were stupid enough to come back it obviously mean you want more.”
Jenna’s voice was cold and filled with malice when she said “You can try Josh.” Josh went to hit her and Jenna dodged the hit; he kicked out and his foot connected with her stomach; she refused to let the blow affect her and took a step backwards, Josh advanced and grabbed her hair. Jenna grunted and then reached behind her for the knife.
* * * *
As Jenna reached for the knife Josh pulled slightly harder on her hair and dragged her to the floor; he went to pin her but she moved and kicked out with her foot, her boot connected with his nose and she heard it break. Josh grunted in pain and then lunged for her again.
Jenna had the blade of the knife pointed outwards and Josh impaled himself on the blade, as Jenna pulled the knife from his body she saw Josh stumble backwards and his hands go to the wound in his stomach; Jenna advanced on him and then pushed him backwards with the toe of her boot, he tripped over the edge of the mattress and landed on his back.
Jenna looked into his eyes and said “You know, I don’t only hate liars and pathetic excuses for men, I also hate it when someone pretending to be a man attacks and rapes an innocent female; just like you did to me once, and were planning to do again. Did you think I wouldn’t notice the smell of that drug in my drink? You really are more pathetic than I first thought.”
Josh could only stare up at her as she stalked him, his eyes were wide with pain; Jenna raised the knife and as Josh realised what she was about to screamed out in pain, the knife never touched his manhood and Jenna smirked in satisfaction as Josh realised it was a mind game. “You fucking bitch! You’re dead.” Josh snarled at her.
Jenna shook her head “No Josh, you’re dead.” She then rammed the knife down on his manhood and pulled the knife towards her; she then brought the knife up to his throat and made a wide slash across his throat. Jenna moved away as the life and blood poured from Josh’ body. She left the warehouse and walked to the public toilets where she washed the blade, her hands and face.
Chapter Six
When Jenna was sure she was clean she walked over to an all night internet café and booked a flight to Florida; her job here was done and she knew that it wouldn’t be long before Kyle and Josh’ bodies were found.
Jenna paid for the ticket with her card and then checked her e-mails, she waited until the sun had risen and then walked to the nearest post office where she had a mail box in her name, she opened it up and took out the two envelopes inside; she opened the first envelope and it contained new cash and credit cards with the pin numbers.
The second envelope contained her passport and several thousand pounds in cash. Jenna left her old credit cards in the mail box and then left the post office, she caught a cab to the Airport and confirmed her seat on the next flight, she checked in and then looked around the shops, and she purchased yet another set of clothes and changed in the toilets.
She binned her old clothes and then waited in the departures lounge with a cup of coffee; the news was on and just before her flight was called to board she saw the report about Kyle’s body being found underneath a willow tree in the park, and then another report about Josh’ body being found by developers in the warehouse. Jenna smiled to herself and finished her coffee.
She put the empty cup in the bin and handed her ticket to the woman outside the gate, she was given the all clear and went down the walkway to board the plane. Once in her seat in first class, Jenna strapped herself in and closed her eyes, thinking that she could do with a nice long sleep on her way to Florida to start a new life. The girl Jenna was gone.
In her place was a new animal called Phoenix; she was thinking to herself whilst she waited for sleep to come and just before she drifted off to sleep she had an idea; whilst in Florida she would set up a home for battered women, and then take revenge on their attackers. After all, if she was allowed a new life then why couldn’t she help other females who were going through what she had?
Jenna smiled to herself and then sleep claim her, as the plane flew towards it’s destination and her new life.
The End.
