About Annebeth.

Annabeth is 16 year old. She only lives with her Mother because her father was killed in a car accident when she was very little. It always hurt when someone brought up her father, do to how close they were. She’s well liked in school and out of school thought she only have two close friend molly who she been friends with from birth and her dog mittens that her father got her a month before his passing. Everyone wants to be just like her after she started dating this one special boy. No one could ever be just like her, she had perfect black hair and really deep blue eyes and a perfect body. She was involved in everything and throughout her life she always thought she wasn’t perfect enough . But, she was perfect in every way to that one special boy.

About Matt.

Matt is 17 years old. He’s that boy that everyone wants to know but they are scared to cause he looks like he will kill you in a second and can never be caught. So he keeps to himself, the way he likes it. He’s very different from people and no one ever understands why he is the way he is. The reason he is like that because when he was three years old his parents were murdered in the city that he lived in. The police said they were in the wrong place and the wrong time, so he had to move with his grandmother and grandfather. Matt’s features are his eyes that are golden yellow, but no one really ever could tell because they never see them until he started dating this one special girl. He has short black hair, and is also very husky. The main thing about Matt is that he has a huge secret that he can read peoples mind and is really fast but no one must fine out until it’s found out by his true love then everything gets turned upside down for the both of them.

Annebeth.

Every day is the same I’m up at 5:30 a.m.
“Another thing of doing the same thing it looks like Mittens,” Mittens just picks up his hand then put it back down. “Let’s go Mittens,” Mittens gets up from his bed and walks up his steps to me and licks my face, “I know come on go get your leash.” Next thing Mittens running out of my room and I’m going to get changed into any of my running clothes that I can find.
I head downstairs and mittens is laying at the door with his leash laying over him. I always wonder how he does that. When I hit the floor his jumps up, “Yes let’s go Mittens.” We head outside into the nice fall air. But I could help but feel like were being watched again. I always felt like this but I can never really understand the reason why. That’s why I always keep my cell phone close in hand just in case.
Matt.
I always watch her in the morning. I mean come on a 16 year old girl running in the half dark woods with a rat looking dog, I don’t trust it. I hide up in the trees and follow her checking all around to make sure nothing is around. I been doing this for a while and nothing happened yet. We follow the same the same path every day, to the pond around the pond and back to the house. Once I know she in the house and is safe I head home to get ready for school. There is just something about her that I don’t truly understand but I have to protect her. I will always protect her.
Annebeth.
Every time I run I feel like I’m being followed it scares me but nothing has happened yet so I think we’re good for now. I head inside of my house and I clean my mother mess from last night and head to get a shower. When I’m in the shower I can’t help but think who keeps following me. I stand under the water a little longer because it feels so good hitting my skin. When I get out I head to my room and get dress in my short skirt and my music is life shirt and then I fit my hair and put a little makeup on and check myself in the mirror then it’s off to school.
When I’m in the car I still think about who could be following me it’s starting to get to where everything I do I think about that and I know it’s not safe to do. Maybe I should stop running for a little while. As I pull into my normal spot at school I push the thought out my mind until later. I get out of the car and head to get my back pack out of the truck. As soon as I get my bag I get scared by my friend molly standing behind me, “Dame Molly you need to stop doing that.”
“Oops yeah I have that effect on everyone I just scared my step mother in the morning when she was getting coffee by doing that.”
“You scared the witch that’s amazing I didn’t think anything scared her.”
“Yeah that’s what I thought as well. But away from that we have to get inside I have some juice news for you.” One thing you could always count on Molly for was that she always had news about anything under the stars. I wonder what todays is as we walk across the parking lot and into the school.
“Yeah, who’s the news about today?”
“You’re stupid little ex-boyfriend. So listen he had a movie date with some girl who was not that little brown hair girl with the glasses and she found out and she went to his house when she knew he was home and broke up with him and the funny thing was the girl from the date was sitting with him on the couch drinking something and she dumped it on her.”
“Wow Kim did that I have to give it up to her I didn’t think she had it in her. I knew Blake was going to do that he can’t keep a girl long enough.”
“That is so right.” She stops talking for a little when we get to our lockers and we both open ours at the same time then he comes in.
“Matts here.” I didn’t even need to turn around to know that cause when he walks in the hall everything seems to stop and I will never tell her but my heart skips a beat and I get a cold feeling down my back. Then the bell ring and it was the three of us in the hall we don’t say thing we just Get our books and off to our classes.
Matt & Annebeth pasted.
They had classes together from 8th grade both really to shy to talk to each other. They both liked each other from then just never said anything. Imagine you and your crush who also like you going through 3 years of seeing them loving, kissing, and get there heartbroken by other guys and you just wanted that to end but you were to shy to do it. That’s Annebeth and Matt. Though it sounds creepy but they been watching out for each other forever their lockers have always been three away from each other they sat a couple seats away And after a heartbreaks there always a love note in their locker but never signed by them of course. They always want to tell each other but they never work up the guts to do it.

Matt.

Annebeth is just like a perfect angel in my eyes. She very strong and independent girl at least that’s the side she shows to everyone. I’m making a promise that before winter break I’ll at least talk to her. I just have to. Then I can make my way up to calling her my perfect angel like I always wanted to.
Sitting in my first class is kind boring and I’m to jumpy to get to my second class with Annebeth. See all my classes are important to me but the classes with her are very important and out of those class the most but mainly to any of them I hate to be late and I hate getting anything lower than an 85 on anything. So I study and get everything done right the first time. Though I sit in the back I’m really smart. In two of my classes I sit right next to annebeth cause that’s how the teacher put up I rather be a couple seats away but I can’t do anything I like it. Sometimes we bump each other and it makes us jump and then I hear her give away a smile and a giggle. You would think it would be easy to talk to her then wouldn’t you? But really its hard cause we both really care about our grades. We both had our hearts broken. But she just so I couldn’t even tell you.

Annebeth.

Every time were bump each other in class my heart skips a beat and it makes me jump and I let out a giggle I hope he doesn’t hear them. I really wish I could talk to him or at least he talk to me it would be easier if he did it first. In the middle of class I get a text message, I never get cause everyone knows I’m in class when I look to see who it’s from it reads mom. This must be important so I open it:
Sweetie I went to let mittens out and I forgot to check the gate from when Ms. Miller stopped by..We have cookies now..But when I went to let him in he was there I guess what I’m trying to say Mittens is missing. Come home a.s.a.p. to help me look for him… Sorry with love Mom.
I close the message and I get up really quick and explain everything to my teacher and he lets me go and I run out the class room and down to my car to go look for mittens. I couldn’t help but think of three things. Mitten, My grade, And Matt. Matt is always on my mind.

Matt.

I know I shouldn’t do this but she really looked scared and in a rush so I read the teacher mind to see what happened. I respect everyone’s mind but I mean he wouldn’t know I was doing it. I’ll say sorry after I’m done. After I found out what happened to make her leave I took done all the note thought I normally don’t copy down everything on paper to give to Annebeth when I help her. I got to the next class when the bell rings the last class I have with annebeth before our last two class of the day. I take all the notes in that class as well and get double of the homework and the handout we got. As soon as the bell ring I ran to my car hoping I wasn’t to late to get there to help her. When I got home there was mittens sitting on my steps and when I got out of my car his walked right over to me. I pet him and head to put my things in the house when I come to the door mittens is still there turning in circles wagging his tail. I Guess now is a perfect time to talk to her. So I head in the direction of her house. Holding Mittens and the notes and homework I hope this works. I’m shaking like crazy.

Annebeth.

I’m getting to close to his house I’m starting to see it in the tress. But I could help but notice his car as well why is he home? I start of walking a different way I know mittens isn’t at his house he knows better to go there. After a couple steps I see mittens running to me. I bend down to pick him up and then I see Matt I couldn’t help but smile so I quickly brought mittens to my face to hide it or at least play that the smile isn’t for him. “You found mittens thank you so much.” I spoke and the words were out the first word I ever said other than class things.
“You’re welcome. He was just laying on my door step when I got home so I thought that I would bring him over until I guess he saw you and ran over.”
“Well you don’t know what this means to me,” I put mittens down and i didn’t even think twice and I just hugged Matt. I felt so right like I was meant to do it. After that was done I really just wanted to go home. “Well I really should get home you know.”
“Oh yeah right it’s a little late can I walk you back.”
“Yeah I’ll like that.” I couldn’t help but smile. Everything would have perfect if I would of watched were I was going and not looking at matt I wouldn’t have I fell and hurt my ankle.
“Oh my gosh, Anne are you okay?” he came rushing to my side.
“I’m fine but my ankle really hurt I’m not sure if I can walk oh it let me just call my mom.” He gave me his hand.
“No need. Here I’ll carry you on my back.”
“Are you sure?” I was really happy to be that close but I could help but think it wasn’t a good idea.
“Yeah you can’t walk and were only a couple feet from your house let’s not worry your mom.”
“Thank you.” I let him pick me up and put me on my back and he took mittens leash and he walked happy next to us. I rested my head on his shoulder I just wanted to stop time it was just so perfect. Everything just felt so right in the moment.

Matt.

This moment in time was just so perfect. She just felt so relaxed unlike most girls I had on my back. She had her head on my shoulder and she was talking and I had her giggling cause at random moments I would spin her it just was perfect. I hated that it had to end when we got to her house. He mother was on the porch. Of course worried.
“Oh my sweetie what happen.”
“Mom this is Matt,” She said as i put her down and she started limping I felt so bad. “Mittens was at his house. He’s our neighbor from a far as you put it.”
“Nice to meet you Matt.”
“It’s nice to meet you as well.”
“Beth why are you limping?” She calls her Beth that’s just a cool little nickname to Annebeth. She don’t know but I have always called her Anne of course not to her face.
“It’s okay mom I just tripped over a tree root. It’s nothing bad.” She walked up to door. She stopped as her mom went in to aid to her daughter ankle. She turned around and just kissed my cheek . I was so shocked that I forgot to hand the homework and notes. “I’ll see you at school Matt.”
“Yes school tomorrow. I’ll see you then.” I started to walk in and I remember the papers. “Hey Anne.” She turned around.
“What up.” I walked up to her and handed her the paper.
“I took these notes and the homework for the two classes we have together sorry I couldn’t get the other two classes.” She hugged me again.
“No its fine thank you so much you didn’t have to do this for me.”
“I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“That you will.” She smiled and walked into her house and I started to walk to mine.

Annebeth.

I can’t believe I hugged him. It felt right. I’m also so happy that he took these notes and even brought me the homework it was so nice of him. When I come inside I sit and just let my mom aid me cause that’s what she does there is not stopping her. I work on my homework and stick the notes in my book. I can’t wait until tomorrow when I see him. After a while I get tired and head to bed. Waiting for the morning.

MORNING.

I wake up later then I normally do cause I picked to rest my ankle and not run. It still hurt so I wrapped my ankle in an ace band aid and get dressed. Today I picked to wear my hot pink shirt that said my life across my chest and my black long skirt to make a dress well it looked like one. I went downstairs and let mittens out and went to make something to eat. I got my backpack and keys and got ready to leave as I let mittens in a car pulled up in my drive. Matt stepped out of the car.
“Hey I just thought I would give you a ride because of your ankle. Unless you rather drive?” I had to think quick but as soon as he pulled up I wanted to jump right into he’s car.
“Yes that will be so nice thank you.” I walked to the car. He walked around to and I was wondering why until he opened the door for me. “That’s nice of you I never had anyone open the door for me.”
“Not a problem at all I’m a perfect gentleman.”
As we were driving I could help but just look at the car. It was so much neater them my car and in the middle was a cd deck. I was surprised when I saw we had so much music in common. I saw he had the new Black veil brides cd And there my favorite band so I picked up the cd. “Do you mind if I play it.”
“Listen to want ever you want.” Everything was just so perfect. I played the cd and we both was singing and at red lights he would do all these goofy things that made me laugh a lot. Couldn’t ask for a better morning. I got a little upset when we pulled into the schools parking lot he parked in my normal spot. When we pulled into the spot and he came over to my side again and opened my car door. Molly was already standing there she was smiling I already knew what was going through her mind.
Matt handed me the back pack from the back seat. “I’m so sorry for what might happen” I can see he didn’t understand what I meant at all.
“Okay?” The three of us walked into school I could already hear the people talking.

Matt

I didn’t know why she said she was sorry when she said it but then everyone was thinking the same thing and I hit my like bricks. I held my head still cause it was spinning so bad.
“Matt are you okay?” It stopped and the only thing she did was put her hand on my arm.
“I’ll be fine. I think.” She took her hand off and it all started again. What is going on this is crazy. Everyone is talking about me and Annebeth this is crazy. I’m going to have to deal with this all day.
“Matt I’ll see you in class the bell for first just rang.” She again stopped the noise and hugged me and I hugged her back I love holding her in my arm until she pulled away.
“Okay just be careful with that ankle you hear.” She just smiled and walked away with molly they were giggling about something.
I head to my class and I can’t focus cause everyone in looking back at me and everyone thoughts are running on the same thing. I just put my head down cause I couldn’t take it.
We the bell ringing I head to the next class its quite in here. I can’t hear anything and my head is ponding so I just but my head down. I hear someone pull a chair out from next to me which no one does I always sit alone. I picked up my head to see Annebeth I laid my head on my hand and looked at her.
“So what do I owe this pleasure of sitting next to you.”
“You had your head down and I was just coming to make sure you were fine. Are you okay?”
“My head just hurts.”
“Do you want to leave I can go with you or I can get molly to take me home.”
“What about class?”
“My ankle hurts a little.”
“Well if you would let me I would like to take you to this place it’s by a lake and it’s so peaceful.”
“I would love that. Want to go now?”
“Lets.” Next thing she holding my hand and were leaving the school.

Annebeth

I’m leaving school. It’s not even lunch yet. I’m just happy to be leaving with Matt. We get in the car and leave to a place I have no idea where it is. We drive for 30 minutes to Lake City and we were on a beach and it was so perfect there and it took my breath away. I took off my sandals and we started to work in the sand. We walked to the water and start to walk. I was so perfect we were joking around, he kept picking me up and spinning me, and we were throwing water at each other. We started to get a little tried and we sat in the sand together.
“Thank you Matt. This was perfect day.”
“Anything for you.” I laid back and he did to.
“So are you going to tell me what happened in school today.”
“Everyone was talking about us and it was just driving me crazy.”
“Matt no one was talking about us what are you talking about?”
“It’s nothing I can’t say anything about it please forgive me.”
“Okay?” I wanted to know what was going on in his mind why he just wanted to leave school like that.

Matt.

I wanted to tell her the reason I wish I could but I can’t she has to find out for her own. Today is just perfect playing around at the beach and lying in the sand. I’m going to ask her.
“Hey Anne?” I’m shaking this isn’t good.
“Yes Matt?”
“I was wondering if I could ask you a question.”
“Well Matt you just asked one. But alright shoot.”
“I was wondering . Well will you go out with me.” I’m going insane I hope she will.
“I would love that.”
“Really?”
“Yes.” I was so excited that I jumped up and picked her up into the air. She was giggling and she was hugging me around my neck.
“You don’t know how long I wanted to ask you that question.” We lay back down but this time she’s laying on my chest and I’m stroking her hair.
“I wanted you to ask me. I was also trying to ask you but it just would never come out. Hey matt what time is it?”
“Um its 3:30.”
“Shoot no no no I need to get home.” She jump so quick and started running to the car it took me a little to get going to.

Annebeth.

I was so happy and didn’t want to move or do anything but once he said what time it was I had to get home so I didn’t think and just ran. It took him a little to get to the car but I can’t be late getting home my mother would flip out.
“I’m so sorry to cut our time short.” He was holding my hand and stroking my finger.
“No its okay I understand completely. Perfectly okay.”
We were silence the whole way home but it was perfect holding his hand blasting music. We pull into my drive way and my mother don’t look happy.
“Oh no I’m in trouble. Stay…” Before I could finish he was out opening the door for me and walking me to the house. “Mom I’m sorry for being late.”
“Save it get in the house now. Hello again there Matt.”
“Hello again. Do you need me to pick you up tomorrow Anne?”
“No I’ll be okay I’ll see you tomorrow Matt.”
“Okay have a good night.” Then he headed back to the car and left and I walked into my house.
“Were the hell were you Beth.” First thing my mother asked as soon as she shut the door.
“Matt picked me up in the morning and drove me to school. We were talking that’s all.”
“That’s all the better have happened up to your room now.” I headed up to my room and get changed in my sleep clothes not willing to go to bed. But I end up falling asleep fast.

Matt.

I didn’t want to leave her but what else could I do her mother looked pretty mad and I didn’t want to get her in more trouble I hope everything will be okay. But I looks like I have my own issue because my grandmother is waiting outside and doesn’t look happy at all.
“Hey grandmom what's up”
“Where have you been Matt?”
“I was with Annebeth. I took her to the lake and we lost track of time I’m sorry.”
“Get over here you scared me to death.” I walked up and held her tight. See my grandmother is the only one who knows about me my grandfather doesn’t even know. She has been there through the pain and threw the breakdowns and she has been teaching me to control the pains. I guess I need more lessons.
“I’m so sorry grandmom.”
“Its fine sweetie it okay now I know you’re safe. Now come tell me what is on your mind.” We walk in and into the living room where she has cookies and milk sitting there, she always know when I have bad days and one day she will tell me how she knows all that.
“Grandmom the day I had today was perfect but then again painful.”
“How is that sweetie?”
“Everyone at school was talking about me and Anne being together and we weren’t together just yet.”
“Anne the girl on the other side of the woods who you been crushing on.”
I blush. “Yes Grandmom.”
“So I’m taking your with her now.”
“Yea I am.”
“Very good son. Matt,” She gets up and walks to the window. “I have to tell you something about us sweetie.”
“Anything grandmom.”
“You know were not like other people. Were different from everyone. It’s so hard to explain cause there no reason why or who it picks to go to.”
“Yes, what are you getting at grandmom.” I join her over by the window.
“We have to be careful when we fall in love because we fall a lot harder for our true love but sometimes we meet them to soon, like you did sweetie. I am just like you but I am what is called your teacher in all this. I’m here to protect you until you move on then I will leave this earth. Now see this as you can call it powers skipped your mother and father and that is why I am your teacher.”
“What you’re saying if they had our powers they could be here right now.”
“Yes sweetie. But listen, when you with Anne, She has this power just like us but because you to are true lovers you block the world away from each other. Now you have a teacher, she don’t, her father died before the power got to her. See these powers don’t come until your 5 years old and her father was killed 3 months before then. He knew he was going to died but no one not even I knew how he would know that, but that’s why she has mittens and is so close to him.”
“I understand that’s why she rushed out of class and was so happy when I found him.”
“Correct, now we have to be careful she has to be protected that’s why you get those feelings to do it, other than the fact that she is your true love.” I can’t get over the fact how carelessly she throws those word “True love” or “True lovers” around but I can’t help but smile every time.
“So what more do I have to protect her from grandmom”
“Oh sweet child you have to protect her from the word, The demons who killed her father is after her and we can’t let them get ahold of her or they will kill her just like her father.”
“How do I do that?”
“Come sit with me,” We walked to the sofa. “Close your eyes and pay attention to my voice only. Now clear your head of everything but her and my voice,” I do as I was told and still can’t help but smile at every thought of her. “Now I need you to try to get into her head. Make her hear everything you say, Now she is sleeping, Wake her, Just say get up Please.”
I follow what I was told, “Get up Please.”
“Now to make sure you fully in her thoughts tell her to call you please and when you hear her voice you should hear your voice when you reply and her thoughts.”
“Call me please.” Next thing I know my phone is ringing and it’s her so I answer it, “Hello Anne”
“Hello Matt, I just I don’t know just wanted to hear your voice and just say I’m perfectly fine and um I wanted to see if maybe I could drive you to school tomorrow?”
“Sure I would love for that.” I heard her thought of screams it was so cute I smiled.
“Okay I’ll see you tomorrow then.”
“Yes you will. You have a goodnight Anne.”
“Thank you. Goodnight.”

Annebeth

I don’t know why but I woke up and I really need to hear Matts voice and when he picked up I didn’t understand why I was calling him so I made up about picking him up so now I get to pick him up I mean not saying it’s a bad thing but eh I’m already grounded. I just should head back to bed and maybe things will be better then.
Morning
My head is pounded and it hurts really bad and mitten is barking to go out so I take some pills and get dressed. I head outside for my run and that feeling someone is following me is back again. We get to the pond and my head hurts more so I sit for a second I guess that wasn’t a good idea cause someone came out of no where and grabbed me but then I was flung back with mittens and the figure that grabbed me and another was flying into the pond I didn’t think twice and I picked mitten up and ran straight home. I ran straight into the house and locked the door. Next thing I knew I was calling matt crying my eyes out.
“Hello Anne, Are you here already.”
“No Um can you please come get me.”
“Sure thing I’ll be right over is everything okay?”
“Um I’m not sure just get her quick please.” I sat on the floor to shaken by what just happened.
“I’m already in the car.”
“Okay just stay on the phone with me.”
“I will. Just breath sweetheart I’m almost there.”

Matt.

She called me crying now I know what happened I just cant tell her I hate knowing that I have to lie to her it breaks my heart. I quickly get changed and rush to my car and get to her house quick. When I get there I run up to her door before I even get on the last step she jumps right into my arms.
“Oh my gosh, Thank you for coming I’m so scared.”
I hold her tight to make her feel protected, “Its okay sweetie I’m hear tell me what happened.”
“It was awful I was walking mittens and I said down cause I have this pounding headache and it didn’t even look like a person grabbed my arm but before anything something hit it and theey went flying into the lake and I just grabbed mittens and ran straight home and the only thing I could think to do was to call you.”
“I’m glad you called me. But you should stay out of the woods now its not that safe.”
“I should of knew they weren’t safe I always felt like someone was falling and Matt I’m so thankful that you came here.”
“Are you going to be okay going to school? I can drive seeing that I’m already here.”
“Um yeah please, Um but I have to get a shower and get changed.”
“I can wait out in my ca…”
“No you can wait here my mother left for work already I’ll only be a couple mintues.” Without thinking she kissed me not one of those quick kisses this one had a lot of feeling to it and felt perfect kinda how I imaged it she pulled away and smiled and headed upstairs and I went and called my Grandmom.
“Hello? Matt? Were are you?”
“Grandmom I was following Anne or her run today and you were right something is after her. They tried to grab her. I thought of impulse and hit it but it disappeared by the time I hit the water, Anne didn’t see that it was me she just kinda picked up her dog and ran got home and called me that’s where I am right now.”
“Sweetie you have to be careful your not ready or prepare for these demons, Okay well at least you both are safe, Stay with her take her to school get her home on time today then get home I guess its time for your training to start.”
“Okay grandmom, I love you.”
“I love you too, Be safe there dear.” Then I shut my phone and sat down on Anne sofa and thought to my self.

Annebeth.

I cant help but smile how fast he got here and how worried he looked, But then I couldn’t help to smile more after I kissed him it felt so perfect and I hoped he felt the same. I jumped in a quick shower and got dressed in my shinny jeans and my purple ‘You cant handle this shirt’ and walked down stairs. When I came into view there I saw Matt and I smiled he got up and walked over to the steps were I just couldn’t help my self I just jumped into his arms and kissed him again.
“Are you ready for school?”
“As ready as someone who almosted died can be.” I grabbed his hand and we walked to his car. He opened the door for me and I hopped in. As soon as he got in and turned the car on and backed up I grabbed his hand again I just felt so safe and I I had no thoughts in my head I felt at peace. We pulled up at school and he let go of my hand and that’s when it happened I stopped breathing all I saw was this white light and all I thought was how could I have died, But then this picture of my in a black dress crying it seemed to be that I was at a funeral but I didn’t know whos that’s when Matt brought me back to earth.
“Sweet what happened are you okay?” I couldn’t think how to tell him what happened so I just looked at him and smiled.
“Everything is okay.” He gave me his hand to get out of the car I grab it frimly cause I was a little shaking and couldn’t walk straight. He picked up mine and his backpack. Molly meet us at the door.
“Hey guys, Dame Molly see a ghost or something your pale white.”
“Molly you don’t know what kind of morning I had.” As we walked to the school I told her what happened in the woods. Molly my bestfriend so I will talk to her at lunch about what happened before i got out of the car.
