I lie back nervously, dreading your touch, trembling at the thought of your hands coming near. My heart is pounding and my mouth is dry. I close my eyes tightly, thinking of anything but you, of happier times, of beaches and oceans. My fists are clenched and my legs are taut as I hold my breath in anticipation. It seems as if you like hurting me, making me fear and despise you. I never want to see your face again but then, happily, it is over, and I hear the welcome words, “All done! You can rinse and spit now.”
