Chapter One Look Out.

“LOOK OUT” Sharlet screamed. Out of instinct, I dive for the ground, just as two pairs of claws barely miss my back. I could hear Sharlet scream in pain, then I heard the monster scream. 

“What was that?” I ask, panting. We're battling off another wave of creatures trying to get to the vase. 

“That…was their pet,” Sharlet replies. “And he just got me with his claw.” it’s true, she had three really deep claw marks on her skin.

“Are you okay?” I asked. 

“Yeah,” she answered. “Now come on, we need to find your friend before the Endreaded gets to her!” We were looking for my friend, Georgia. Georgia was my best friend, but she disappeared just before Sharlet appeared. She had just narrowly saved my life, ducking into an overhang to hide from Ken.
