This is a biography of a care giver. For my wife with Alzheimer’s Disease.
You will find the long road of anguish inflicted on a couple of 50 years.
The process of successful care giving does not come overnight, so give
attention to this process in my life.


All is not lost in the beginning, all through to the end.

I can’t Fix It

It all started with subtle inconsistencies in my wife’s behavior. Lending the fact
she had grown up with anxieties and depression, most of her life, which added
considerable complications, everyday. One such time was, getting lost on
one occasion, taking a drive to ease her anxiety. She would often go for long
walks for hours, not letting me know where she was. Checking the burner on
the electric stove with her hand to see if it was off. Chasing a young boy down
the street who threw a rock at our house, in her bare feet, resulting in bloody
soles with weeks of recovery. Forgetting simple things around the house,
letting things burn on the burner in preparation for a meal.

Confusion slowly enwrapped her, gentle at first then as time went on it grew to
a dangerous level, where I couldn’t
