Chapter One. Dove.
I woke up that morning, looking up to my formally carved ceiling that showed flowers and doves holding ribbons. I turned to look at my clock. It was early still. 5:00am.
I got up and looked around my dark room. It was neat and formally designed. I had my very own bathroom and a balcony. My balcony curtains were white and ghastly transparent. I walked to my balcony and opened the two glass doors my curtains covered, but not very well.
A gust of wind blew my dark black hair back and I closed my emerald green eyes. I walked out on the white stone flooring of my balcony bare-footed.
The moon was full and shinning brightly. It seemed that it was only shinning on me for a brief moment.
I hugged myself, crossing my arms over my chest. My gray, closer to white, short-sleeved night gown didn't keep me warm on this oddly cold summer night.
The stars twinkled just like the nursery rhyme promised, but dark clouds rolled in, quickly. The brightness of the moon disappeared and chilled tickle ran down my spin, making me gasp and run inside, shutting and locking the balcony doors behind me. This feeling has been going on for about 3 days now.
Something seemed wrong, or something bad and eerie was soon to happen. It felt like Halloween, but kids were not dressed in costumes. No candy was being giving out. Only the cold, creepy atmosphere surrounded me. Enclosing me like being sucked in to the dark despairs of the Abyss. Tomorrow was the first day back to school from the long 2 and a half long summer vacation.
I wonder how a girl like me would do in a school like that. I was home-schooled all my life. My parents were rich. Apparently, they died somewhere last year and now I can't afford to be home schooled like a was. I know more than your usual 17 year old would. I'd probably get all A's in school. Maybe some B's.
The most important thing I worried about was making friends. I didn't want people to call me a snooty rich girl, because I'm not. I never asked my parents for anything. They just provided me with what I needed.
I'm going to pretend that I am not rich tomorrow. I won't wear anything formal. Maybe a Gir shirt with dark, black skinny jeans. My high top converse would probably go good with that outfit. Yes.
I smiled to myself. I looked into my long mirror that showed all my body.
I had C sized breast and I was skinny and curvy. Many people asked me to go in for modeling, due to my looks and body. Apparently I'm pretty, beautiful, and sexy. Unfortunately, it was true. I wasn't bad looking at all.
My mother used to warn me around guys. She'd say, "Boys would easily take advantage of a delicate flower like you without hesitation, so be careful."
I decided to get ready for school, since I had to be there at 7:30 am.
I hopped back into my comfortable bed that made cotton feel hard. IT wasn't long before sleep overcame me.
Chapter 2. Crow
I heard my father growl as he walked past me, brushing my shoulder. It's not my fault that Curt was killed. I swear, there is not one thing that man hasn't blamed on me. I didn't care, either.
That man wasn't even my blood related father. He just wanted us to refer to him as our father. He's nothing but a monster. A monster who changed me to join 'The Dark Side'.
I hated being a vampire. I wish I never went through with it. It's like I made a deal with the Devil.
I rolled my eyes and walked out of the log cabin we stayed in. My father decided to make us, a family of vampires, move and blend in this humans in this town. That meant me and my little sister, Jeanne, have to go to school.
Jeanne was a slut. She through herself at any guy, but she always got what she wanted from them. Blood.
I decided to use my tantrum time to walk around. A guy has needs, too. Maybe a hooker around the corner would be fun. Though, there was enough in school that gladly through themselves at me.
I smirked at the thought and started walking down the street.
I walked past the large white house I've been purposely walking past for the past 3 days. Every night, a beautiful girl comes out on the white balcony and looks at the moon. The moon shinned on her porcelain skin. She was like a white dove. Her long black hair and emerald green eyes fit her very well. Her lips were a light pink and plush. I didn't even know the girl, but I wanted to kiss her. Just the looks of her made me want to protect her, despite the fact that the only thing I could protect her from is probably myself...
Tonight she wasn't there. The moon was hidden by a dark cloud.
I decided to head home and get ready for school tomorrow.
Chapter 3. Dove.
The next day, I got ready for school. The butler drove me in a regular car, thankfully.
I got assigned a homeroom.
I walked in and a bunch of kids looked at me. Some waved, some looked away and scowled, and I heard a boy in the back whistle.
"Oh, you must be Riley?" I heard the teacher say from behind her desk.
I nodded shyly.
"What's up, Seth?" a boy called, looking behind me.
I looked behind me to a boy. His eyes flicked to mine and they widened.
I blushed and looked back to the teacher.
The boy just nodded coldly and sat next to the other boy. The teacher walked over to me and smiled.
"You're a very pretty girl, Riley."
"Ah- Thank you." I gave her another shy smile.
"Please, call me Ms. Raven," She smiled, showing pearly white teeth and pointed to a chair in the back by the window, "Please take a seat."
I nodded shyly and went to the seat. I sat down and sighed, trying to calm down my fast beating heart. Two girls turned to me.
"Hey there, new girl. Where did you come from?" One asked. She had curly dirty blond hair and crystal blue eyes. She was very pretty.
"Actually, I've been home schooled all of my life until now. I live two blocks from here." I smiled shyly once again.
"Really? I've never seen you around." The other girl pointed out, quizzically. She had straight brown hair and dark chocolate brown eyes. She was also very pretty.
"I didn't leave my house very much," I added, shyly. They giggled at me.
"You're so cute!" The brunette exclaimed, making me blush a little.
"Now she's embarrassed! Aw!" The dirty blond giggled.
"Don't worry, we're not lesbians. We're just special people."
"I see that," I giggled, touching my lips with my knuckles.
"I'm Candice. Please call me Candy." The dirty blond smiled.
"And I'm Danielle. But please call me Dani." The brunette smiled as well.
"I'm Riley. I don't really have a nickname for my name." I said, shyly. I looked to Seth who's eyes studied mine. I blushed and looked back to Dani and Candy.
"Are you checking out Seth?" Candy asked me in a low voice.
"N-No, of course not!" I exclaimed in a low tone.
"Good. His sister is a total slut. I heard he has a girl in his bed every other night, too." Dani explained. I pursed my lips. I could really care less about Seth, but I didn't think guys like that exist. I only saw them in movies.
"Is his sister in our grade?" I asked them, getting the information I need to stay away from these people.
"Yeah. Her name is Jeanne Barkley." Dani grinned.
"I think I'll stay away from her." I told them, looking around the room for anyone else who seemed sluttish.
"That's a good thing. She's probably be jealous of you." Candy giggled. My eyes flicked to hers.
"Jealous? Of what? I'm still a virgin." I frowned. They laughed a little.
"No no. I meant because of how pretty you are." Candy explained.
"W- You two are way pretty than me."
"N-"
"No, let her keep going." Dani grinned.
"She has an ego." Candy laughed. Dani glared at her.
"It's not everyday a new student compliments you!" She argued. I giggled. These two girls were very friendly.
Chapter 4. Crow.
As soon as I laid eyes on her, I was too shocked to do anything but walk away. She was actually here. Her scent was like a drug to me. I saw her look my way and it took my breath away. When she blushed, she was cute.
No way. I didn't even talk to the girl. No way I'll fall for her. She's a stupid human. A delicate flower unprotected from everything. I could easily take advantage of the beautiful new girl. Then I overheard them talking about me.
"Are you checking out Seth?" Candy asked her in a low voice.
"N-No, of course not!" She exclaimed in a low tone.
"Good. His sister is a total slut. I heard he has a girl in his bed every other night, too." Dani told her. Riley just looked at her like she didn't believe it. She was thinking about something. God, I wanted to know what she was thinking.
Thoughs idiot girls. They were telling her total bull. Although, it was true. I slept with almost every girl in my grade. It was a way to get blood when I needed. Blood and pleasure. I looked away from them and expected the worst for what she thought of me.
"Dude," I heard Tommy say forcefully, "are you thinkin' about doin' that?" He asked me, gesturing to Riley. I wanted to kill him right then and there. She wasn't a 'that'. She's a living person.
Why was I being so over protective of this girl I didn't even know? Sure, she was beautiful. It's just thoughs eyes. Thoughs sad and beautiful eyes.
"No way, man," I grinned, trying to keep myself from strangling him.
"Then I think I'm gonna go for it. She's smokin'" He smirked.
I looked back over to Riley and heard her say, "Jealous? Of what? I'm still a virgin."
She's still a virgin? A beauty like that? No way. Something wasn't right.
I narrowed my eyes.
She's keeping secrets...
The bell rang. Tommy and I got out of there before anyone else so we had time to stand by our lockers and talk about 'things'.
When I got to my first class, guess who was sitting next to the seat I sat in. Riley. She was diffidently clueless and had no idea who anyone was. Everyone was too much of a coward to walk up to her anyway.
With a sigh, I decided to do the nice thing. I sat next to her.
At first, she completely ignored me. She seemed to have believed what Candy and Dani said.
"Hey," I said to her. She looked at me in the corner of her eyes to see if I was talking to her. She realized I was and turned her head to me.
"Hey," She responded, shyly.
"I hear you were home schooled."
"You did, huh? Well, yeah, I was." She said. I got the hint that she didn't like what she has heard about me and wanted to avoid me as much as she could.
"Would you like a tour around the school by yours truly?" I asked her.
"Thanks but no thanks." She rolled her eyes and looked the other way with a flip of her hair, making her scent had to resist.
"Aw, that's a shame. I thought we could be good friends, too." I grinned.
"What made you think that?"
"Your eyes." It was no lie. I really loved her eyes. There were greener then the fresh water grass in the Spring.
"How many times did you use that one?" She asked me, coldly. That made me a little mad.
"Once." I growled and looked the other way. I watched Jeanne walk in. She was a busty red head wearing a jean mini skirt with a black tank top and black uggs.
I thanked god she wasn't my blood related sister. She walked on the other side of Riley and took a seat.
Jeanne's violet eyes looked Riley up and down.
"Who are you?" She asked her, not in the nicest tone. Riley turned to her.
"Riley. Who are you?" She asked right back.
"Names Jeanne," She said, "Where you from?"
"Home schooled." She looked back to the front of the classroom. Jeanne gave her a disgusted look and looked away from her with a role of her eyes.
Riley had guts. I didn't think she would. She seemed so shy and willing. Maybe she was a little toughy after all.
Chapter 5. Dove.
First class was entertaining. I just brushed Jeanne and Seth off like a fly. It was easy to get them to stop talking to me. I didn't have to do much. For Seth, I ignored his pick up lines and for Jeanne, well, I just tried to ignore her. I think she got the hint.
Luckily, Dani was in my next class, along with Jeanne.
"So what happened when I was bored in math class?" Dani asked me.
"Nothing. I met thoughs people you and Candy warned me about." I told her.
"And...?"
"I tried to ignore them." I shrugged. I didn't really do much.
"Good. They're not your true friends. We are." She smiled. I smiled back, happy that I've made two friends already.
"Look, the new girl is friends with the loosers." Jeanne said, loudly. Her group of friends laughed at us. I looked to them and narrowed my eyes.
"I'm sorry, I rather be friends with loosers than sluts." I growled and looked away.
"Slut, eh?" I heard Jeanne growl, "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?"
"Mother's dead." I said, uncarelessly, though I wish I could suck thoughs words right back in my mouth.
"Really? I guess she had it with you, huh? I would've done the same." She said. Her friends laughed at her. I looked away because I thought that's why they died at first. I hid my face.
"Aw? Was that all it took to hurt your wittle feelings?" She said, using baby talk.
"Why don't you go suck Seth's dick!" Dani yelled sticking up for me, "It wouldn't be the first time, now, would it?" Dani smirked.
"Excuse me, was I talking to you, freak?" She scowled. "No. Didn't think so."
I already hated this girl.
"So, Riley," I heard her say, "did your father have enough of you to?"
I couldn't take this.
I stood up quickly, making my chair scoot backwards. I shook my head and ran out of the classroom.
"Riley!-" I heard Dani yell after me.
I covered my eyes with my arm and kept running. I hate this school.
My parents died in a car accident on there way to California. They were very good script writers for movies. Many of which were based on me. They loved me very much. I know they did. They called me every 3 hours when they were gone for work and we did activities together when they were laid off until a job opened up. I missed them...
I didn't know where I was going. I just kept running. I didn't want anyone to see me crying. I never cried. Only certain things could make me cry. I kept running and running until two very strong arms wrapped around my waist and stopped me.
I gasped and blushed at the same time. I turned to see the boy that greeted Seth in homeroom.
"Whats wrong, Angel?" He asked me. He looked concerned, but why would I trust anyone in this school?!
"N-Nothing! Let me go!" I screeched and tried to get out of his grip. God, where were the teachers when you needed them.
He turned me around and pushed me against the wall. He studded me and frowned.
"Why are you crying?"
"Because I can!" I took a deep breath and wiped my tears with the sleeve of my sky blue sweat jacket.
"Listen," He said softly, "I'm not a bad guy." If you're such a great guy, then why the hell are you pinning me to a freaking wall?!
All I did was nod a little.
"My name is Tommy." He smiled and let me go. He put out his hand for me to shake. I gladly took it and we shook hands.
"Riley." I told him.
"Well, Riley, I hope we can be friends."
"Are you like Seth?" I asked him, knowing he wouldn't tell me if he was anyway.
"Maybe a little," He chuckled, "but I promise you won't be put on that list."
"What list?"
"Thee list." I couldn't help but giggle a little. When I looked up to him, his face was priceless.
"What?" I giggled again.
"I think your laugh just gave me a boner."
"Tommy!" I yelled, laughing. He couldn't help but laugh himself.
"Get back to class, you." He demanded me.
"Bu-but-" The bell rang and I grinned ear to ear.
"You're lucky."
"I am." I agreed. Knowing it was time to part, he kissed my cheek. I blushed uncontrollably and looked up to him. He was fit. He had short, dark brown, shaggy hair and deep hazel eyes that were almost hypnotizing.
"See you later, Angel." He whispered in my ear and walked away.
Angel? Is that a nickname is decided to give me or something? I shook it off and frowned.
It wasn't long before Dani was in front of me, handing my bag I left in my other class.
"You forgot this." She said softly.
"Thank you." I smiled a little.
"You ok? Jeanne's a bitch."
"I know." I agreed with her.
"Luckily, it's lunch next. She's not in our homeroom, so we don't have lunch with her." She cheered.
"We get to see Candy again?" I asked.
"Yeah!" She smiled. Candy ran up to us as if she heard her name. "Speak of the devil."
"Wha- I'm no devil! I'm sweeter than candy itself!" She smiled, evilly. I'm getting sarcasm off of that.
We walked to lunch. I sat at a table alone with only thoughs 3. I was very happy to know we had a lot in common.
We liked all the same chick flicks, anime, colors, and prime time shows.
"So, Riley. Did you spot cute boys yet?" Candy smirked.
"I think... Tommy is cute." I blushed a little.
"REALLY?!" They yelled in union.
"YES?!" I yelled back.
"No!" Candy frowned.
"No?" I asked, confused.
"No." Dani agreed.
"Why?" I asked,
"He's a player." Candy looked down.
"Candy dated him. He broke up with her in a week for no reason."
"He said, and I quote, ' It's just not working out for me.'"
"That jerk. Candy has feelings, too." Dani frowned.
"I feel stupid now. You can't trust any boys here, huh?" I frowned.
"Guess not." They agreed.
Chapter 6. Crow.
I went home that day thinking it was better if she hated me, anyway. It wouldn't be right for such an angel like her to love a monster like me.
"UUUGGGHHHH!" Jeanne growled, sitting on the couch next to me.
"What is it?" I asked, though I could careless.
"That new girl Riley. She's such a pain."
"Why? What happened?"
"She decided to pick a fight with me. So I fought back and made her run out of the room crying like a baby."
"She was crying?!"
"Yeah."
"Wh-what did you say?"
"She told me her mother was dead and I said, 'She was probably sick of you,'"
"Jeanne, that's horrible."
"So is she. She's a tramp."
"Like you're not. She's still a virgin."
"Ha. Really? At age 17? What a looser."
I frowned. I really didn't like what she was saying. I was feeling overprotective of Riley once again. Maybe I should go over there and apologize for her?
No. She hates me. Whatever.
I stormed up the stairs and decided to take a nap before I go out to see her once again tonight.
That time finally came. I walked past her house. There she was. In her white, sleeveless night gown. The moon showed all her features. Wait. Something was wrong.
She climbed on the white railing of her balcony. She put out he arms as if she were going to fly. What was she- Oh god. She was going to jump. And that's exactly was she did.
She slowly fell from her balcony, waiting for death to consume her, but I was not going to let this girl kill herself, probably because of what Jeanne said.
I ran faster than I ever had, using all my vampire speed. I opened my arms up and caught her.
I fell to my knees, still holding her like a baby. She dug her face into my chest and sobbed quietly, grabbing my shirt and clenching it tightly, making fists. I held her close, hugging her tight. I rocked back and forth to soothe her.
"Riley..." I breathed out.
"I hate your stupid sister." She said between sobs.
"What happened?"
"Nothing," She whispered.
"Riley, tell me what happened."
"My parents died and that's the only reason why I'm going to your stupid school. She said they probably died because they were sick of me." Her breathing became uneasy.
"I'm so sorry." I whispered, hugging her tighter.
"Thank you, Seth." She pulled away to look at me.
I placed her on the ground, where she sat criss-crossed.
I wiped her tears away and smiled.
"No more tears, Riles."
Her eyes widened and they flicked to mine. Did I say something wrong?
Chapter 7. Dove.
"Riles?" I repeated. I've never been called a nickname before. Knowing that he gave me one that had my name involved and not something like 'Angel' made me happy.
"Y-yeah?" He looked worried. I smiled.
"Nickname?"
"I-" He looked away and scratched the back of his head, "I guess. It just slipped."
"I like it." I giggled a little. I was still a little shooken up. Then my eyes narrowed.
"How did you get to me so fast? And how did you know where I live?"
"I was walking by and I saw you. I saw you climbing on the railing so I ran and caught you." He shrugged like it was no big deal.
"You would have to have some kind of jet speed to get to me in time, Seth." I said, quizzically.
"I'm a fast runner."
I decided to let it go and I smiled.
"Thank you."
I got a good look of Seth under the moon light. He had straight black hair and chocolate brown eyes that made me want to melt. He wore a black T-shirt and dark baggy jeans. He really was hot. He could probably get any girl he wanted. I could make out his 6 pack from under his T-shirt.
"You're very welcome," He grinned, "about that school tour..."
"Sure," I smiled a little. Maybe a friend like Seth wouldn't be so bad, but nothing more. Maybe not even a friend. An acquaintance.
"Do I owe you?" I asked him.
"You owe me nothing!" He frowned. "Cant a guy save a pretty girl's life for free?" His frown turned into a playful grin.
"I guess." I shrugged.
"Next time, you might want to try the door." That made me mad.
"How long were you waiting to say that one?"
"A few minutes now."
"Ok ok. I'm stupid. Get it out of your system just like your sister." I crossed my arms.
Chapter 8. Crow.
What am I supposed to say to that?! I didn't meant it like that...
I wanted to tell her that I'm nothing like my sister. I have a heart... And you're slowly stealing it. That I've been very protect of you since I've seen you. That I should really stay away, but its like your drawing out to me...
"I didn't mean- Look, I'm nothing like my sister," I said, looking into her eyes, "She's a lost soul. There is nothing in her. She has no heart."
"Tell me about it." She agreed. I guess she let me off the hook easily.
Her scent lingered on me from when I held her.
"I heard you were getting 'physical' with Tommy." I said. I was not so happy about the information I heard. I didn't even want to say it.
"Your slutty sister made me cry and run out of the damn classroom," she growled, looking down, "He's the one who found me. He pinned me against the freaking wall so I'd tell him why I was crying. And when we have to part ways, he kissed my cheek. That's it."
"You should stay away from Tommy. He's much much worst than me." Did I just say that? Wow, I think I need to take a break.
"I was planning to," She said, looking up to me, "Freaking man whores..." She mumbled.
"Hey! I'm not a man whore!" I grinned.
"Try saying that with a straight face, man whore." She giggled.
"You ticklish?" Her face dropped.
"No."
"I beg to differ." I launched myself at her and she fell backwards. I started tickling her nicely curved sides. She was giggling like crazy. I couldn't help but laugh myself.
"P-please s-stop!" She yelled in between laughs.
"Nah." I continued.
Finally, I stopped and she scooted away from me, breathing heavily.
"Never," She inhaled and exhaled, "do that again!" I laughed.
That's pretty much how that night went...
Chapter 9. Dove.
Next day was Tuesday. I went to school wearing bright blue skinny jeans, a back shirt, my black converse, and my geek glasses. When I walked in, I was instantly greeted by Dani and Candy.
"Hey, girlie!" Dani smiled.
"Hey." I smiled back.
"Well, lookie here," Candy grinned, "You look good for a horrible first day of school."
"And It's probably gonna be a horrible second day of school, too." I frowned.
"What can we say? She's gorgeous." Dani smirked.
"No, I'm really not. If anything is gorgeous around here, it's you two."
"Shut up, gorgeous." Dani smiled.
We walked to homeroom. I felt Seth and Tommy's eyes on my instantly.
The 3 of us sat together in a circle.
"So, you think you'll be okay first period?" Candy asked me.
"U-Uh, Well, actually, I think I'll be just fine." I shrugged.
"How fine?" Dani asked me.
"Dandy fine." I smiled.
"I caught onto the sarcasm, babe." Candy laughed a little.
"No, I'm serious. Jeanne moved her seat. I just have to deal with Seth now." I shrugged again.
"He can totally violate you!" Candy shrieked, quietly.
"Unless she's willing," Dani looked at me, waiting for me to agree or disagree.
Were these two perverts mad?! After what Seth did to me yesterday, I won't ever let him touch my temple ever again! Now he knows my tickle spots! Well, I know his weakness, too. Right where the man breaths. KAPOW!
"Riley?" Dandy asked me, wide eyed, "Did you really have to think about that?"
"N-No! Ah! When will this freaking bell ring?" I growled.
"Wha- in a hurry to get rid of us?!" Dani pretended to look hurt.
"No, I just want to get the hell out of school." I smiled innocently.
"Yeah, I agree with you there." Candy smiled.
The bell finally rang and I was off to first period.
I sat down and got my stuff ready for Mr. B's science class. I saw Seth walk in in the corner of my eyes. He sat in his seat and smiled at me.
"Hey there, jumpy." I frowned and rolled my eyes, meeting his.
"Shut up. Don't tell anyone about that, or I'll do it again. And you won't catch me."
"I would never." He grinned.
"Mm. I find that hard to believe."
"So," he said, trying to get on another topic, "friend of mine wants to know what kind of guys you're into."
"Vampire," I said, trying to rub him off, but he just stared at me, wide eyed.
"Vampire?"
"Yeah," I smiled.
"You know they're fictional characters right?"
"So are the kind of guys I'm into." I smirked.
"Seriously," He frowned, "Favorite type of guy."
"Gay." He laughed at my answer.
"I like the first one better. I'll be sure to look for a vampire for ya."
"Why thank you. You really shouldn't." I growled. He was making fun of me, now.
"It's not for me," He frowned, "it's really for a friend."
"Not interested." I scowled again.
"Still with the vampires, huh?"
"Yep." I rolled my eyes.
"I'll keep that in mind." He grinned.
Chapter 10. Crow.
This girl doesn't know what she's getting into. I find it a little too ironic that she said vampire. Maybe she did see me run that fast yesterday.
"Do you believe in vampires?" I asked her, trying to get as much as info as I can.
"Maybe. Anything is possible." She smiled warmly.
"I-I guess." Her smiled made me want to melt.
"M-" I looked to her. She was holding her head and whispering the words, "Not again."
She fell from her chair and I instinctively caught her.
"Riley?" I whispered. She was out cold.
"Is everything ok?" Mr. B asked, walking over to us.
"She just fainted," I told him, "I'll take her to the nurse."
We got to the nurse, but the nurse wasn't there. So I laid her on a cot in a private room and shut the door. I checked her temperature. Normal.
I sat besides her and watched her sleep. Her sleeping face was precious. Her breathing was easy.
Then her lips caught my attention. I was dying for a taste. Maybe I could just...
No.
I shook out of it. No way would I kiss her now. It'd be one sided... Although... Maybe it's better off that way.
I slowly bent down. My lips were just inches away from hers when I felt her hot breath. Shivers went down my spine.
I closed the gap between us, kissing her lips ever so softly. I wished this could've been my first kiss.
I pulled away slowly. The honey suckle taste of her lips lingered on mine. I licked my lips and already wanted more.
I had to stop... Didn't I? My father would literally stake me for being in love with a human. I only knew one thing at this point.
I was going to protect her.
Chapter 11. Dove.
I woke up to a sweet taste on my lips. I licked them slowly as I tried to figure out where I was. I was in... a room. Alone.
"Ah. So you're up." An elderly women smiled as she walked in.
"What happened?" I asked her, holding my head, though I knew exactly what happened.
"You fainted. Seth Aiden Barkley carried you all the way here. You might want to thank him."
"Seth Aiden?" I smiled. So Aiden is his middle name?
"Yes. I called your house, but no one answered. You think you'll be okay?"
"Yeah. I'll be ok." I smiled weakly.
I walked to lunch, meeting Candy and Dani. I sat next to them on the table.
"What happened?!" They said in union.
"I guess I fainted during Mr. B's science class." I shrugged.
"How did you even get to the nurse?" Dani asked.
"Uh. Seth carried me. He sits next to me in science."
"Did he violate you?!?!" Candy asked.
"No! Idiot!" I laughed. She frowned.
"Well, you never know with that pervert." Dani said.
"True." I smiled.
"Look who's coming this way," Candy growled.
"Who?" I turned to see Tommy in front of me, making me jump.
"The player himself." Dani scowled.
"Come," Tommy said to me, grabbing my wrist. He started pulling me out of the lunch room.
"H-Hey! W-Wait!"
We were soon out of the lunch room and in a what looked like to be a forgotten classroom. He shut the door behind us.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"Don't listen to them. I used to be like that, but I'm not anymore." He said, coming closer, making me back up.
"But you just threw Candy away-"
"And I regret it." My back was against the wall and his arms caged me in. Our bodies were so close, I couldn't help but blush.
"O-Ok, but why are you telling me this?" I asked him, looking away. He smiled.
"Because I like you."
"I'm not looking for a boyfriend." I said, shyly.
"Maybe not now, but I'm willing to wait for you." That made my heart skip a beat.
"I don't think it's a good idea." He seemed to be getting mad now.
"Why not?"
"You're Candy's ex. She's my friend. I don't date people who just through my friends away."
"I don't really care. I want you mine." He scowled.
"I'll never me yours!" That did it. He was pissed.
He clenched his jaw.
"Wrong answer." His eyes started to glow a cherry red. He opened his mouth and his canines were sharper than they should be.
"W-What are you?!" I screamed, trying to push him away.
"Your worst nightmare."
Chapter 12. Crow.
I looked around the lunch room. Tommy and Riley were still gone. I think I should go check on them. I got up and walked out of the lunch room. Riley's scent wasn't hard to fallow. It was the smell of fruit and vanilla, but something was off. I smelt blood. Her blood. I'm sure of it.
I fallowed the scent to an old classroom. I opened the door and the sight was horrible. Riley was crying hysterical. Her clothes were off and she was tied to the desk with her legs wide open. Tom was just inches was from stealing her. Her prized possession. Her virginity.
Blood ran down her neck. He bit her. That bastard...
"Oh, Seth. Would you like to join?" He grinned.
"No, you bastard!"
I don't remember when or how I did it, but I used all my vampire abilities to beat the living crap out of him. I broke off a leg from the wooden chairs that were in the classroom and used it to stake him.
I didn't know what I was more scared of. Cleaning up the mess, or having to tell Riley the truth.
I threw the body out the window and untied Riley. The venom was killing her. What should I do? I started to suck out the venom from her neck, trying oh so very hard to stop. Thankfully I did.
She was hugging me in seconds. Clinging to me tighter than before.
"Riles..." I said softly.
"What are you...?" Her whole body was shaking. Her voice trembled.
"I'm a vampire, Riley." I told her, softly.
"I knew it..." She cheered sadly and was asleep in my arms in seconds. I put her clothes on and flipped her over my shoulder. I jumped out the window, landing on my feet, and ran to my house. Now that she knows, she can't be trusted. Damn you, Tommy. Damn you to hell.
Her eyes fluttered open. I laid her on the couch.
She smiled at me, but her smile didn't stay when she felt different clothing was on her. She sat up quickly.
"Were are my clothes?!"
"They were bloody, so I'm washing them for you." I said from the kitchen.
"You saw me naked!" She said, looking at my robe I put on her.
"It's not like I don't know what a naked girl looks like," I frowned, "And I kind of had to when you almost got yourself raped by a vampire."
"Well, my bad for not knowing!" She crossed her arms and pouted. I smiled and chuckled.
"Are you hungry?"
"Not at all," she swallowed, "I fell horrible."
"Twice." I said.
"T-Twice what?" She asked, innocently.
"I saved your life twice." I chuckled.
"Your right."
"Now that you know that I'm vampire, I have bad news."
"Oh god. Let me guess. You save me twice, kill me once."
"Of course not!" I frowned.
"Oh. Then go on." She smiled. I couldn't believe this. She wasn't even scared of me.
"You'll have to stay here for now on. You can't be trusted."
"What?!" She jumped, falling off the couch.
"It's a rule for vampires. If a human knows and you won't kill them, you have to keep them captive."
"Oh c'mon, now. Can I still go to school?!"
"Of course. Jeanne and I go to your school."
"Jeanne's a vampire, too?!"
"Well, she is my sister."
"Ugh!!! She'll be the first one to kill me."
"I'll make sure that doesn't happen. You can even sleep in my room with me if you want."
"Yeah..." She mumbled.
"So it's a deal?"
"Yeah, I don't really have any family left anyway." I narrowed my eyes and sat next to her on the floor.
"Tell me your story." I demanded.
"Well, my parents were rich. Hence the big white house. They were killed in a car accident and I only have the butler and the maids to take care of me. So staying here wouldn't be the worst thing." She said, sadly.
"I'm sorry about your parents, Riles."
"Thank you," She smiled weakly, "So, what about you?"
"My story? It starts about 300 years ago," I saw that I picked up her interest, "Jeanne was my childhood friend. One day, we got involved with the wrong person and now here we are. We were turned into monsters and are damned to live forever unless we're staked." I sighed.
"You're not a monster."
"Trust me, I am."
"Maybe a womanizer... and a man whore... but not a monster. A monster would've left me to die." She explained to me.
"I'm a stereo type..." I mumbled, looking away.
"Yeah, ok. And I'm a lesbian."
"Are you?" I asked, hoping that wasn't true.
"No! It's called sarcasm, man whore!"
Once again, I found myself tickling her nicely curved sides.
"No!!!" She yelled in between giggles. I laughed at her. Her face got so red.
"Yes!!" I yelled back.
"Please stop!!!" She giggled.
Chapter 13. Dove.
He wouldn't stop. I could barely breath! How do I stop him? I know!
I cupped his face and brought his lips to mine. He automatically stopped. Haha!
Wait, that taste... That sweet taste was on my mouth when I woke up in the nurse's office. I pulled away to his dumbfounded look.
"I got you to stop." I giggled, innocently.
"You did," He agreed, still shocked.
"You kissed me in the nurse's office, didn't you!" It was more of a question, because I wasn't so sure about it. He hung over top of me. He was so close. His hips were in between my legs. Our lips just inches away from each other.
"I did," He smirked, "Gonna do something about it?"
"Well, no. Uh..." I looked away, blushing.
"What if I do it again?" His tone made me want to melt. It was totally turning me on. A hot guy actually wanted to kiss me.
"What if you do it again?" I asked back.
"What will you do?"
"Why don't you find out," I said, biting my bottom lip.
"You realize you're about to kiss a blood sucking vampire," It was more of a question.
"I do realize that, but the blood sucking vampire is stalling." I frowned. I wanted him to kiss me. Vampire or not.
His lips got closer to mine, almost touching.
"You sure?" He asked, challenging me. That's it. I lean in, closing the gap and opening the kiss. He returned the kiss violently, taking more than I wanted him to.
His tongue locked with my own a few times. He didn't taste like blood. He tasted sweet like chocolate.
I was very disappointed when he pulled away.
"We should be doing this," He breathed out, "A vampire falling in love with a human is forbidden."
"Y-you're falling in love with me?" I asked, kind of shocked, "I thought I was just like one of thoughs other girls. One night standers."
"No," He growled, "Ever since the first time I saw you, I couldn't get you out of my head."
"First time you saw me? When was that?"
"5 days ago. I saw you on your balcony looking at the moon. I wanted to kiss you from that very day, you know." He grinned.
"W-W-" He kissed me again before I said anything more. His lips were warm. My eyes closed. Our lips moved in union. They fit perfectly like they were made for each other.
"We have to hide this." He said after he pulled away.
"From who?"
"Everyone. We're a secret."
"Fine. But no flirting with other girls." I frowned, knowing he would, too.
"Fine. And no getting raped by vampires unless that vampire is me."
"F- What?!" He laughed and kissed my fore head.
"Let's go to your house and pack your bags."
We arrived at my house. He helped me sneak through the balcony.
"Nice room," He said, looking around as I packed.
"What did you expect?" I asked.
"All pink." He grinned.
"Ew. I'm not that much of a girly girl." I said, packing my toothbrush, makeup, and other bathroom stuff.
"You have your period?" He asked bluntly as I was putting a pad in my bag.
"S-Shut up!" I yelled, embarrassed.
"Nothing to be embarrassed about. Just keep it covered so us vampires don't smell the blood."
"Why wouldn't I keep it covered?" I asked, knowing what was going on in that perverted mind of his.
"Most humans are attracted to vampires in a sexual matter," He smirked, walking slowly towards me, "I think we got this backwards."
"W-what?" I asked, backing up and onto my bed. He pushed me so I laid on my bed. He crawled over top of my so I was laying under him. I blushed as he pushed our bodies together like a smore.
"I think we got this backwards," He said sharply, "I'm the one attracted to you. You don't seem to care much about sexual attraction."
"And that's how it's going to stay."
"For now."
"No," I growled, "forev-" He planted a rough kiss on my lips. He pulled away and frowned.
"I don't think so." He grinned and kissed me again. I gave in and kissed him back, letting the fiery passion I had for him take over. He let out a moan as we kissed.
"I think we should get going," He breathed out. I giggled and nodded. He kissed me once more then helped me up to my feet.
Chapter 14. Crow.
We arrived back to my house. I learned that Riley was a klutz. A big one, no fact. She dropped things, tripped over things including her own two feet, and fell out of no where. I couldn't help but laugh at her. She was so cute because every time she failed, she got pissed off at me and blamed me for it. Jeez, if I didn't know better, I'd think she just tripped and started falling off her balcony.
"Stop thinking out loud!" She yelled at me. I didn't realize I was thinking out loud. I'm thinking she heard the last part. I put on a goofy grin and shrugged.
"Sorry, princess."
"Blah." She frowned, fallowing me up the stairs to our room. Well, it used to be only mine, but I don't want her far from me. Ever.
You know, for a human, she was taking this in pretty well. Was she hiding it? Something about her told me she likes to hide things. Especially her thoughts.
"Hey," I said, walking into our room.
"What?" She asked, placing her bags our bed. Her beautiful scent was already filling the room. I couldn't get enough of it. Not to use a Twilight line or anything, but she was seriously like a drug to me.
"Are you okay with this? Don't lie." I said, shutting the bedroom door.
"Well," she sighed, "Wasn't on the top of the bucket list, but it's better than living alone."
"Weren't you rich? Butlers? Maids? Family even?" She flinched at the last part or my questions. Maybe she had no family?
"U-uh, well, butlers and maids aren't really family. And my family was killed."
"Killed?"
"Yes."
"By what? How?"
"I rather not... say." She swallowed. She was hiding something from me.
"You can tell me anything." I told her, caressing her arm.
"Mm. Th- they were killed by, uh," she looked away, "vampires." My eyes widened.
"W- Oh, Riles, I'm so sorry."
"It's not that... It's just... My parents hired vampires to do it." She shrugged. She was acting like this wasn't a big deal. I thought it was a very big deal.
"W-Why?" I dared myself to ask. I was anxious. I wanted to know everything about her.
"Don't know." She frowned and shrugged.
"Oh..." I looked down and sat on the bed.
"Don't worry about it, though," She smiled, "If I'm with you, I know I'll be fine here."
Don't say that... Please, don't say that.
"Or is that wrong?" She asked like she was reading my mind.
"I-I just... I don't make promises. I always end up braking them."
"Well, here. Don't." She rolled her eyes as she unpacked her bags.
"B-But-" She cleared her throat, cutting me off. She was in serious denial, which made me chuckle slowly. She unpacked some bras and underwear. Then some pants and shirts. She folded them neatly into the drawers I prepared for her.
"So, what side of the bed do you want?" I asked her. She froze. I could tell that she was blushing.
"W-we're sharing a bed?" She asked, her voice sounding young and innocent.
"W-Well, we don't have to."
"No, It's fine. Um," She looked to me and put her hands on her hips, "I don't mind. What side do you want?"
"Doesn't matter to me." I said, smiling at her.
"Fine," She crawled into the bed and laid on the left side, "My side."
"'Kay. So, do you want to put on your PJ's?" I asked her, since she was still in my robe.
"Yeah." She said, half laughing. She went into her drawers and pulled out a tank top with short shorts. Then she froze. Then she put them back and got her white night gown.
"I like the first choice better." I said, smirking. She looked at me with a sly grin.
"Why do you think I changed my mind, perv. Let's take it slow, speed racer." She tsked.
"Fine." I frowned. I'm not used to this. Being in the same room alone with a hot girl and not doing anything is odd for me. Maybe she is right. Maybe I am a manwhore.
"Hey, manwhore?" She asked. I smiled.
"Yes?"
"Do you eat...people food?" She asked, shyly. I chuckled.
"Of course I do, you weird-o." I said.
"That's right. Vampires usually start off as humans." She did a little cheer.
"Uh. Are you hungry or something?"
"Yeah. Get me a sandwich." She commanded. I frowned.
"Would you like fries with that?"
"If you have any." She said innocently. I couldn't help but smile.
"Alright. Be right back."
Chapter 15. Dove.
I got dressed into my tank top and short shorts for him since he did save my life twice in the matter of two days. I sighed. Am I falling in love with him, too? I mean, I've never really experienced lover] before. How would I know? When we kiss, I swear there are sparks.
I sat on the bed and started to think. Love, eh? I guess I could give it a try.
"Here," I heard, breaking me out of my daze. I looked up to Seth who handed me a PBJ on a plate. I happily took it and started eating it right away. He sat next to me.
"Are you sure you're ok with this?" He asked again. I groaned and rolled my eyes.
"Yes, manwhore." I smiled and took another bite of my sandwich.
"Stop calling me that." He laughed out.
"Why?" I frowned.
"It's mean."
"It's not mean if it's the truth." I shrugged.
"Mm. Someone is home. Probably Jeanne." He said, getting up and closing his door.
"W-well, what does that mean?" I asked. Worry showed in my tone.
"Relax, Riles. I'm gonna talk to her about it. Tomorrow." He said. "I know your tired and I want to make you feel comfortable your first night here."
"Well," I said, "It's my first time sleeping with a boy, and a vampire... Wow. A lot of new things I am trying today." I nodded.
"Heh. We could try some other new things, too." He smirked. His tone turned sexy and seductive. I frowned at my manwhore and put my finished plate on the night stand.
"I'm going to bed." I said. He just smiled and crawled in the opposite side of the bed that I did.
We laid on our side and looked at each other for a while.
"How did I end up with such a beautiful human being?" He asked, softly.
"Beautiful human being? Where?" I looked all over the room. I only found Seth eyes saddened from my reaction.
"You don't think you're beautiful?" He asked, kind of disappointed.
"Not at all. I don't have much of an ego," I said, truthfully, "I just say I'm decent. But I thank you for the complement." I smiled
"It wasn't a complement, it was the truth. I never thought a manwhore like me could end up with such a beautiful and amazing girl."
"Well, to answer your question of how you ended up with me," I said in a silly tone, "You found me almost getting raped by a vampire and-" I was cut off by his lips crushed to mine.
"I'm sorry I asked," he breathed out, and kissed me again. I kissed back, trying to get as close to him as I could. His finally pulled away and I cuddled into his chest.
"Are you ok with this?" I asked him. I felt him chuckle as he wrapped his arms around me. He kissed my hair and leaned his head on mine.
"I'm not ok with this, I'm perfect with this." He said. "If that makes sense..." I giggled and nodded.
"It makes perfect sense," I murmured, "Night, manwhore."
"Night, jumpy." I laughed.
"Really?!"
"If I'm manwhore, you're jumpy."
"Fine, good night, Seth."
"Night, Riles."
